Il mio Ristorante preferito. Cosa dire di questo posto magico, servizio eccellente lo staff cortese e sempre presente per soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta sotto l occhio attento di "Don Antonio" il proprietario e il metre "Luigi". La cucina piatti regionali rivisitati ma mantenendo la tradizione della vera costiera Amalfitana. Location la più bella terrazza di Positano per me. Consigliato vivamente provatelo e provatelo.

Un pranzo fantastico! Una location da sogno e personale estremamente gentile e preparato. Ci siamo sentiti coccolati dall'arrivo fino al momento in cui ci siamo salutati. Ci rivedremo presto ❤️

L’abbiamo trovato per caso e devo dire che è stata la miglior scelta entrare. Ottimo ristorante un servizio eccezionale, i piatti veramente deliziosi i camerieri tutti molto gentili e disponibili poi con una vista stupenda!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had the fresh pasta with raw tuna chunks (can't remember the name) and it was absolutely amazing. I turned up about half an hour before closing and they still served me without any fuss and honestly, it was one of the best dinners I’ve had in Italy. Super friendly staff and a great vibe. Highly recommend! What more to say, go and try it!!

One undeniable highlight of this restaurant is its terrace, offering postcard-worthy views that instantly set a fantastic mood from the moment you arrive. We enjoyed a late, light lunch, and the food was absolutely delicious. While the overall experience was very positive, the service could benefit from a warmer, more welcoming touch. The young waiter was genuinely hospitable, which stood in contrast to the waitress, whose demeanor felt less inviting. It’s not a major complaint, but a bit more warmth in the service would add a wonderful extra layer to this already fantastic place. All in all, it’s a beautiful and tasty spot that I highly recommend.

Not to be missed!! On a busy summer night, we took a chance and walked into this beautiful restaurant overlooking the sea. We will welcome with open arms without a reservation and seated. our evening begin with complementary trio of appetizers, which included, a delicious white crunchy fried anchovy topped with chili paste! The zucchini pasta dish was absolutely delicious worth repeat dip, and repeat bread! The lamb Wellington was amazing wrapped in a delicious flaky, homemade pastry. The service was attentive and friendly. The environment was not only elegant, but also also fun as we watched people celebrate, birthdays, and other occasions. before leaving the restaurant indulge in their homemade pastry and dessert. I highly recommend the peach semi Frito made with yogurt. Fantastic!

I asked for spotted table booking and the staff did it for me. From right at the corner you can enjoy of city view and the ocean view on your sides. I think the atmosphere and the money you spend here worth it pretty much. I definitely believe it's one of the best choice you can make to go for the fine dining. And my risotto was awesome. If you have no idea what to choose, try it!

Elegant dinner with a view – highly recommended! We had a wonderful dinner at Il Capitano at night, and the atmosphere was peaceful and romantic with the beautiful lights of Positano sparkling below. The grilled seabass was perfectly cooked and flavorful, the pasta was fresh and well-balanced, and the fried calamari was crispy and not greasy at all. My husband and I visited Positano for our 10 year wedding anniversary and we made reservations at Il Capitano for a romantic dinner. From the moment we arrived it was a magical experience. The location itself is absolutely beautiful. It has a spectacular view of Positano and the ocean. The restaurant is decorated to perfection. The service was 10/10. Very kind and attentive to us the entire time making sure we were enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed. The food was amazing!!! They brought us some delicious little appetizers compliment of the chef as well as some bread and breadsticks. We ordered a Caprese salad for appetizer to share which was so fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the Lamb Wellington and I ordered the Cacio e Pepe with Tuna. The dinner was spectacular. We both really enjoyed the different take on the dishes and it had so much flavor. We also enjoyed some red wine throughout dinner and ended with an amazing tiramisu with cookie crumbles. Overall, this is a must if you're visiting Positano with your significant other or for a magical night with your friends and family!! Highly recommend.

The service was top-notch, and the breathtaking view of the coast added to the ambiance. Our manager, Luigi, was incredibly hospitable and attentive. The seafood was fresh and delicious – the sea bass was a catch of the day and linguine with clam sauce were highlights of our meal. Luigi also helped us select a wine that perfectly complemented our dishes, which became our favorite part of the meal. Falanghina wine - fruity, full body, hint of green mango, honeysuckle and complexity of the flavors infused beautifully with our seafood meal. The complimentary appetizers and dessert (limoncello) were a lovely touch. Luigi's attention to detail and commitment to ensuring we had an exceptional dining experience truly made our evening. We highly recommend Il Capitan to anyone visiting the coast. The combination of great food, excellent service, and stunning views makes it a must-visit destination.

It was an amazing experience, we arrived with no reservation and we were invaited to wait on the drinks bar while a table was getting readdy, enjoyed the view with a drink and it was quickly done. We got the best table from the restaurant, the food was a good surprised, we order an entry with tuna, a tuna tartar cacio e pepe and a spaguetti with anchovy, and to finish a tiramisu. By far the best fine dining establishment I’ve ever been to. We have been to many restaurants that claim to be fine dining and they all pale in comparison to this place. Service was impeccable, food was outstanding, views were incredible. I’m hard to please and am very skeptical of other people’s positive reviews of restaurants, but my experience here blew me away. Would highly recommend for anyone who appreciates artistry in food and a complete well rounded experience. I’ll also add that I was with my kids (6 and 8) and the staff treated them so well - my boys absolutely adored them.

Ottima vista! Il profumo del mare e il panorama su Positano, rendono questo ristorante spettacolare, ma ho apprezzando anche la gentilezza e cordialità del personale e dei proprietari. I piatti sicuramente superbì hanno suscitato in me un po’ di dubbi. Prendendo lo spaghetto al nero di seppia, purtroppo le vongole erano molto gommose, e siccome siamo in un posto così rinomato e proprio sul mare, mi aspettavo delle vongole fresche. Spero che questo dettaglio venga migliorato e che tutto il pesce venga servito di ottima qualità. Il piatto migliore sicuramente la delizia a Limone, sublime!

Please read this review before dining here, then hopefully you will reconsider dining here and go somewhere else. To start the night, they make you agree to the terms that you must spend €60 per person minimum before you can dine in. Then our server greeted us with a smile that lasted half a second with the bit…rudest attitude ever. She recommended the fish of the day, but once I asked what else she recommended because I didn’t want fish, she said “well I gave you my recommendation, the rest is up to you”. She came back to get our order and that was all we ever saw from her. We finished our meal at 8:53. We didn’t see her again until 9:25. We waited 30 minutes for nothing. I ordered the tiramisu and it’s an absolute joke. Theres not even a lady finger, let alone cocoa powder, nor any flavor. The pasta was about 4 bites, said it had anchovies, not a single anchovy visible. My fiancée ordered the orecchiette and it was so bland, you couldn’t even taste anything. It was actually pretty embarrassing. We were never checked up on, they brought the wrong beer and charged us for it even after they took it away, and then they didn’t bother to even do anything all evening. The server just became super rude and wouldn’t let us leave even though we were tired of waiting around for over an hour total, so we had to order €30 more in dessert to meet the minimum to leave. We were really hoping the dessert saved them, but the chocolate bomb thing tasted like heavy cream, and like I said the tiramisu sucked. This place is an absolute tourist trap, and the food at Restaurante Saraceno or Da Vincenzo looked much better for half the cost. Don’t waste your time or money here, it’s not worth it. Unless you want to be treated rudely by servers, pay a lot of money for presentable food with no taste, and waste your night.
