Great place to eat dinner before heading to Meymandi Concert Hall to see the NC Symphony. Views of downtown Raleigh and the sunset are fabulous. Service is great. Charcuterie board and wild mushroom flatbread were delicious. The stuffed mushrooms needed more flavor. Will return before next visit to Meymandi Concert Hall.
Beautiful views and amazing ambiance. There are ceiling mounted heaters for a warm experience. Buffalo chicken flatbread was very delicious.
Still FIVE STARS for 10th and Terrace atop the Residence Inn on Salisbury Street in downtown Raleigh! The eastern view (enjoy sun and moon rises) and looking down on Memorial Auditorium are great! The staff is very good and the mock-tail (DD) and food were above average. We had the Short Rib Tacos and Roasted Thai Brussels (see menu). The chocolate desert special was super! Street parking and deck parking next door are easily available. See menu and photos...
Went here with coworkers on a Friday evening and the views were amazing. It’s a lowkey spot and not crowded. It’s upstairs of the hotel. Easy to find and parking across the street. The fish tacos were amazing! My coworker had the short rib tacos I believe and they loved it. I would come back in. Service was good. We did make a reservation beforehand.
Our family shared some appetizers before enjoying a concert at Meymandi’s Concert Hall which is just across the street. As the name implies, the rooftop lounge is on the 10th floor so has some great views from the outside terrace. It’s a convenient location for arriving early for a show to get good parking and then relaxing for some appetizers before going to an evening show.
My wife surprised me for my birthday with reservations! The flatbreads, tacos, wings, and desserts were all fantastic! One of the best views in Raleigh!
Stopped in before a show at Raleigh Memorial. Perfect location right across the street. Made reservations for outdoor seating. All of the tables had reserved placards on them, but I saw a few people have no trouble walking in and getting a seat out there (5pm-ish). Note that if you sit right along wall, it can get hot and sunny depending on time of day. We ordered cocktails and two flatbreads. They were so yummy and unexpectedly good and simple. Food and drinks came quickly. We were helped by multiple people - it seems they work in unison instead of one assigned server. Everyone was friendly and fast. A little on the expensive side but relative to price downtown location and atmosphere (hotel rooftop bar).
This place is so nice. Great views from the 10th floor. Haley is super awesome, love her energy. Greg was great too! Great spot to hang out at before and after a concert.
Excellent place, specially in the evenings. Limited menu but you do not go there to eat but to have a good time. View from there is amazing and staff so polite and courteous. Had a great time.
Absolutely loved the food and atmosphere. My fiance took me here for my birthday and it was definitely a vibe. The only negative is that they do not have enough outdoor heaters for you to enjoy the rooftop in cooler months so we had to dine inside but the inside view was still lovely. The ribs, wings, and charcuterie board were all delicious especially the ribs! Would for sure go back.
Great relaxing spot to enjoy a drink, the view, sunset, great weather and good company! Been there several times and always enjoyable. Nice staff, decent drinks. Beautiful interior but I prefer the outdoor patio and look forward to going back!
What an amazing experience at 10th and Terrace! We booked reservations for my BFF BIRTHDAY. From arrival to departure it was wonderful experience. Our waitress Bri, went above and beyond to make my friends birthday special. She keep our table full with food and drinks and she was so hands on with us being first timers. I highly recommend this location especially at 7:00 pm when the sunset is setting it was magical. Thanks 10th and Terrrace Staff and especially Bri for making this an evening to remember!
10th & Terrace rooftop bar is located inside the Residence Inn Marriott downtown is conveniently located in the heart of the city with lots of parking be it on the street (weekend) or in paid parking areas. I enjoyed the space and the drinks were tasty. Unfortunately, there bar tender mixed my card up with someone else’s tap and had to sort that out. I would definitely visit again. Unika B. & Co.
The view was amazing! We had some craft beer (canned) and the seared ahi tuna plate. We had such great cozy atmosphere and conversation here as it was such a chill spot!
I was fortunate enough to stay on the 10th floor of the hotel, so it was nice to walk directly to the bar. The alcohol selections were better than expected. The bartender offered a decent pour as well. Thanks so much!
Lovely view, good food and drinks. Also loved that we could have an evening drink on a rooftop bar without the sun in our eyes, as the bar is on the southeast side of the building.
This restaurant is so nice! My husband and I came here to check out some downtown restaurants and this place went above our expectations. The server, noticed we were looking over the horizon a lot so he asked us of we'd like to move to a newly opened up full view seat. It was such a nice gesture and he even gave us a slight discount for an inconvenience (something with the delay in food) we were so greatful to him for helping us out and making it a beautiful date night that I made sure to tip him very well. I'll definitely go back but I wish I got his name!
Took my girl and daughter here for Mother's Day after a photo shoot. It is the most beautiful spot in all of Raleigh hands down. Raleigh needs about 10 more of these places. Sweeping views, gorgeous sophisticated ambiance, and great service. A shot out to the server who was working the whole rooftop deck, he was excellent and very friendly and took great photos of us. 10 out of 10.
Fun place for drinks and small plates. The rooftop bar is well laid out with a variety of seating options, either table or lounge. Nice views of the city.
Beautiful place. Located inside the pretty lobby of Marriott Residence Inn. Nice drinks and food. Views are the best. Check it out.
First time here. Read the reviews and they all talked about the views but not many about the food. Views, service and food were on point. Drinks were so good also. Perfect date night place. Very chill atmosphere low key. My husband and I loved it and will definitely be back.
Teresa, Hailey, and Angela made this one of my best restaurant experiences! We came expecting a group of 8 to join for brunch after a wedding; however, our numbers quickly grew to 17 as friends continued rolling in. The staff were so kind and accommodating, happily rearranging the space to allow us to have a magnificent brunch and sendoff for the newlyweds, complete with champagne and delightful treats from the kitchen. The brunch buffet was excellent, and the atmosphere and views were spectacular. Highly recommend!
Hunter and Theresa were awesome and gave the best service! The view, food and drinks were just the cherry on top! I will definitely be back!
Got together with some friends at 10th and Terrace the other night and could not recommend this place more! The rooftop has beautiful views of Memorial Auditorium and multiple heat lamps to keep you warm in the cooler temps. We had ordered different appetizers to share and the tacos and flatbread were my favorite. Chef Johnny came out to check on how everything was and we appreciated the personal touch. And speaking of personal touches, the entire staff did not disappoint, Patrick, Theresa, Angela, Hailey, Greg and Jenny worked tirelessly to ensure our good time. 5/5 recommend
What an amazing experience. We had a large party of 16 without a reservation. Hailey, Teresa, and Angela were outstanding and so accommodating. They rearranged the entire floor for us and provided us with above and beyond service. This team is a rockstar team! The food was also great. From the buffet to the chicken and waffles and avocado toast, everything was absolutely perfect. Totally recommend.
We recently celebrated my wife’s birthday at Tenth & Terrace, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the stunning view and the warm atmosphere. The food was absolutely fantastic. The short rib tacos were a standout, and the whipped feta appetizer was pure bliss. We also loved the roasted garlic and brie, which was just amazing. But what truly set the evening apart was the personal touch. When I made the reservation, I mentioned it was my wife’s first birthday without her mom, who had recently passed away. The staff remembered this detail and made the evening so special. They surprised her with a complimentary dessert to take home, which was such a thoughtful gesture that we deeply appreciated. Our server, Theresa, was phenomenal. She was incredibly attentive, always there the moment we needed anything, and made us feel so well taken care of. All in all, Tenth & Terrace gave us a beautiful, heartfelt evening that we’ll remember for a long time. We can’t recommend it enough, especially with the wonderful service from Theresa!
I had never been here before, but it was a fantastic choice! great drinks and food with an amazing view! Hidden gem right in the heart of downtown! Would certainly go back! "
Had a great night here! great drinks, but most importantly excellent service personality and quality. Definitely coming back to this local bar!
Staying at the hotel and came on a Thursday night. 100% would recommend to anyone in the area or visiting. Very relaxed lounging atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff. Love the music playing during our stay as well. Only reason food got a 4/5 was the roasted tomato sauce in the Papas Bravas was served cold, with the crispy potatoes being served warm. A personal preference, but kept me from eating more of it. Highly recommend the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread. For a slow thursday night, the staff made sure we were well taken care of. Thanks!
Ordered drinks before a concert at Red Hat. It was packed and some of the seating is wonky. We sat on what can only be described as an end cap A small bench that connected 2 other benches, in the shape of a U If I sat back, I would have been leaning on another guest. Weird. Spouse ordered an old fashioned and friend ordered an espresso martini (see pics) we didn't order food, it was so packed I thought it may take too long. Drinks were good. Would love to sit at the bar next time!!
Went to Tenth and Terrace during restaurant week. Originally had a table inside but the rain held off and they allowed us to switch to a patio table. Nice terrace with a view of Raleigh. Two of us picked the restaurant week trio of small plates and the rest selected regular menu small plate items. Nothing was bad but nothing was outstanding either. The favorite was the shredded pork sliders (not on the regular menu). We also had the Roasted Honey Garlic Winds, Roasted Thai Brussels, Argentinian Kabobs. I would recommend coming for the view and maybe a small bite but saving your appetite for another restaurant.
Our visit was on a rainy wet day, so we didn't get to sit on the rooftop, but the indoor seating was ok. The food was tasty, but out of the 6 "sharables" we ordered, I would give the food/drinks a 7/10. For the price and overall taste...the cost is a little high (Personal Opinion Alert: add one more taco to the order to make it a true "sharable".... I think food should always come in even numbers). It's an appetizer and drinks type of vibe, which is cool. Don't come here expecting to get full.... go on a sunny day and enjoy the rooftop air. I'll definitely be back to sit outdoors and give the food a second try to see if the flavors pick up. 😋
Flew from Indiana for the Billie Eilish concert. Came just from a drink. Espresso martini. Wasn’t anything special. Service and atmosphere hit the spot though
It is a good spot and does offer a decent view. Good place if you are there for any events at the convention center or the hall. Cocktails are couple dollars higher, didn’t try the food. I am sure this a good spot for summers.
I wouldn't spend all night here. But the view is worth a drink if nothing else. The staff were extremely attentive and pleasant as well. And then you can bar hop after downtown!
The atmosphere is great!! The food and drinks are wonderful too. The service is okay. We came here as a suggestion for the beautiful view which didn't disappoint!
I am always incredibly happy to be here. Not necessarily because it is the best bar in Raleigh, but because it is always what I want it to be—a great place to hang out. The staff is so attentive (George/Haley is absolutely wonderful), the food and drinks are delicious, and space is lovely.
Food was good. Some dishes better than others. Pork belly tacos, Buffalo chicken flatbread are recommended. The crab stuffed mushrooms I was not a fan of, but my dining guests liked them.
Came upstairs for a glass of wine and a bite to eat. Lovely setting and beautiful sunset views overlooking the city. Wine list wasn’t bad and food was just okay. I’d even go so far as to say the meatballs were undercooked and the spring rolls tasted as though they’d been refrigerated for a few days. Nice spot to hang out but I wouldn’t come for the food.
I will echo previous reviewers and share that service could improve. It seems they don’t have a solid system down just yet. Don’t expect to be waited on, as you need to order from the bar. This was odd to me, as there were plenty of servers. The food was average, considering the price. It’s clear the main reason you would want to go check this place out is for the view, which is worth it. Grab a cocktail, snap a pic, and then scoot! Also to note, several months ago, several friends and I tried visiting 10th and Terrace and were turned away because a couple of my friends were wearing jean shorts. This was pretty disappointing considering the bar had three patrons at the time. Furthermore, when I returned this weekend to finally check it out, I noticed more than a few people wearing jeans, jean shorts, and flip flops...flip flops. Seems like they updated their dress code, but it left a pretty bad taste in my friends’ mouths, resulting in them not returning with me. Just a FYI in case you show up in a more strict evening...
June 4, 2022. I am running a 500 person conference next year, so checking out social venues near the convention center. My wife and I loved the view (4.5 stars), but the negronies came without orange or lemon peel and had lots of small ice cubes. Fail. Worst one in a very long time. It is a drink difficult to mess up. The pork belly with sesame glaze was very one-domensional. Another Fail. Too bad. (Food/drink 1 star. My lowest rating ever). The place has great potential. I hope that lack of quality will be addressed. I might check this out one more time.
Beautiful view but glass railing too low to block high wind for a classily dressed lady on a dress night out. We did not think the food was prepared on 10th floor. But manager tells us it is a minimal kitchen, hence the simple menu. Tortillas for the tacos were dried out when arrived at table. Short rib taco was greasy. Fish taco pieces were very small and not flavorful. Would not write home about the food. An eclectic menu, not for an American food guy.
View was beautiful. It took us an hour to get our wings and flatbread. We received our order after others who came in after us. There was also a group there that were obnoxiously loud and were never warned or told to leave. Hard to enjoy such a beautiful view because of this.
The good-View...AWESOME. One of our waitresses (they do "team" service) Haley, SUPER friendly and energetic. Everything else....mid to below. Wait, WAY too long for a flatbread and a baked brie. Supermarket quality flatbread and gold. Brie was barely baked. Everything cold. Other waitress and hostess obviously would've rather been anywhere else.
Atmosphere is a hard carry here. Service didn't refill our water a single time, much less check on us. Food was okay, and view of Raleigh was nice, but I wouldn't go here if I needed anything more than a drink.
Average food meets terrible atmosphere. We booked a brunch table for 3 and were the only 3 in the restaurant. We were told we could sit at a very small cocktail table which sits very low OR on a sofa. Neither had a view of downtown. The table was so small we ran out of room for our drinks. There wasn’t room for all of us to put our feet under the table. And standing up from those chairs was impossible. For that absolutely abysmal experience, we paid $90 for 3 people. We will never go back. After all we were paying for the view. Not only did we not get a view but the table was next to impossible to eat at and the food was nothing special. Save your money and go to a real rooftop restaurant.
Came here after the Holiday Pops Concert at Meymandi. Amazing "back raleigh" view of Menymandi and looking out beyond it. Can't really see much of the skyline, but the Vistas are great. What wasn't great was the service. One server who couldn't keep up? And we weren't allowed to order drinks or appetizers at the bar? Immediate red flag. All the appetizers were lacking severely. The hotel is in a very convenient location for any shows at Meymandi..but this rooftop bar was embarrassing in terms of service & taste.
Today my daughter and her friends went to celebrate her 17th birthday (group of 10). Prior to making reservations, I made her ask questions regarding gratuity and can checks be split, which I heard them confirm it can be and gratuity was 20%. Which was not an issue because we teach our children the baseline of tipping is 20%, more if they provided exemplary service. At the end of their lunch, they were informed they can only split 3 ways (should have been stated when we called). So my daughter and her friends were trying to figure it out at first and then she had called me to confirm she can use her CC to pay for the entire party (which she had approval to do so if this was to happen). I was able to hear the condescending tone of the waitress and her comment in addition to hearing from the kids how rude she was. Not only did you make them feel out of place but ruin a birthday lunch which was suppose to be a send off as well. Do better!
Wanted to love this place- an excellent location near the performing arts Center and the menu looks good but the moment you step off the elevator, there is a strong, HORRIBLE SMELL! Can’t even describe it. Asked our server- he agreed and indicated it was just an everyday thing ever since he began working there and no one knows what it is. It is BAD!! There is no California Chardonnay just one French chard and only one NA beer. Otherwise the menu looks good IF you could stand to eat in that STINK! The Seating was cozy and nice. The state environmental department should come in there and find out what is causing the horrible odor on that whole floor! Something dead in the ventilation??
We had checked in at the Residence Inn and wanted to check out the rooftop bar just to see if we wanted to have a drink there or elsewhere. Based on the attitude of the bar staff or manager not sure who she was—-we decided to go elsewhere. She was very rude upon entering so we took our business to a better spot in downtown Raleigh. Don’t waste your time or money here!!
