Absolutely AMAZING food, i’ve become addicted to the Caesar salad wrap. It’s SOOOO delicious and easily the best one i’ve ever had. I think the caesar dressing must be homemade because it’s so fresh and yummy.

Such a cute spot with a fun vibe. They have lots of specialty flavored coffee options, my girlfriend and were able to get a flight of 4 of them. They were all delicious, my favorite was the reese's coffee. The veggie omlette was yummy, and the potatoes that came with it were nice and flavorful. Our waiter was also super friendly and gave some good recommendations. Definitely would come back again.

Really cute lunch spot. Little on the expensive side but to be fair we got a 4 slice cake flight 😅 Big portions.

We were in awe of this place, highly recommend. We stopped in on a Thursday night, surprisingly, there was no one here, despite how delicious the food is and how beautiful the decor is. The service was amazing, flavor was fantastic, and the food came out on a timely manner. Absolutely stunning!

The inside is cute with the twinkling lights on the ceiling! Could see it being a great spot for a celebration. Ate breakfast outside- great people watching spot lol! Waitstaff is SO nice, portions are big, food is both delicious and filling! They even have vegan sausage!! So happy to have a GOOD local spot. Will be coming back over and over!

A must try ! My daughter (9 years old) favorite place now Kid friendly but high end which is a rare combo in Red Bank. Great service - great food. Young owner - single Dad living his dream - working 7 days a week all for Elli his daughter. Support this place and Patrick the owner.

Rob the Waiter was the best! I celebrated my wife's birthday with a couple of friends and Rob made the night 10x more fun as well as the owner. The food was the best by the way!!! You won't be let down. 11 out 10 stars.

Absolutely Excellent! My family celebrated my mom's 90th birthday with a buffet in the private room at Elli's Backyard. My heartfelt compliments to Annie and all the staff who made this a fabulous experience. Annie worked seamlessly with me through the arrangements, including ensuring that guests with food allergies would enjoy tasty, satisfying meals - and dessert! The decor was lovely, including a little corner called "Secret Garden" where the three pint-sized guests could play. The service was thorough and attentive. And THE FRESH, FLAVORFUL FOOD! Rave reviews from EVERYONE present. I can't say enough great things about Elli's Backyard. We all thank you for making this occasion such wonderful celebration :-)))))

The Cavatelli Broccoli and bacon are delicious!!!! Will be definitely be coming back here soon!

Really good food! There were four of us and each of us loved our meal! Reasonably priced, as well.

If I could give 100 stars, I would!!!! My husband and I had dinner here about one month ago, and we were so blown away by the service, the food (portions are HUGE) and the atmosphere, that we planned a birthday party in their private room. EVERYONE loved EVERYTHING!!!!!! We Absolutely LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!!!! Their unique menu and EXCELLENT service is really TOP-NOTCH!!!! We can't wait to go back!!!! Thank you, Mike, for ALL that you did to make it a VERY special day for us!!!!

Nice restaurant, not sure why it was not crowded for a Saturday night because the food and service were 💯. The appetizers, fried Calamari were lightly fired not greasy and Kung pao shrimp were huge and very tasty. The salmon was cooked perfectly as requested. The salads are enormous, a little too big Desserts are shareable. I would definitely recommend especially happy to support a young entrepreneur

Went with some friends for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! It's a cute and cozy restaurant. Nice looking dining room but also low key and comfortable. All the food was excellent, lots of choices! Our server was very attentive and knew a lot about the menu. Will definitely return!

First of all the restaurant is adorable. It reminds me of an outdoor patio you would eat at in the back of a Manhattan restaurant only it’s indoors. Went to lunch with two other people. Great menu - so many great choices we could barely decide what to get. We ended up with an Omelette,. Black bean burger, and Caesar salad wrap Everything was fresh and delicious — especially those French fries. Cannot wait to go back and next time will be getting dessert.

First experience at Ellis Backyard was absolutely delicious! Breakfast places are a dime a dozen in Red Bank but the quality is definitely not all the same. This restaurant was such a wonderful discovery for me and my boyfriend. I had the pancakes and words can’t describe how good it was. I also ordered the spinach omelette with salad and that was also fantastic. If you’re looking for something delicious, filling and budget friendly then please try this place. I’m already planning when I can go back and what I’ll try. Also need to mention that the staff was wonderful and the decor of the place was an added bonus.

My husband and I love Elli’s. Our kids also love it (4&6). The decor is really cute for kids with the lit ceiling and vines. We’ve been here at least six times, and every time the service was attentive and food comes out pretty quick. We love the firecracker cauliflower appetizer! It’s perfection. We love that it’s BYO also. We’ve taken our parents and some friends, and they’ve enjoyed it as well. It’s our go-to with our kids. We always leave full and happy.

We met friends for dinner last week. We enjoy not only having a meal, but, having an experience. We certainly had that at Elli's backyard! The service was wonderful. The food was delicious. And, we highly recommend the Smore tray for dessert! Fun for all.....

I don't recall ever wanting to try a restaurant after reading the owner's comment on a negative review (which, sadly, appears to have been taken down), but you wouldn't have that level of snark unless the food and overall experience was very good. TL;DR version...Elli's was a great choice for breakfast and you can ignore anyone trashing this place for having hipster food. We typically share a savory and sweet entree and our choices were the Backyard Bomber and Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. The former was served open face which was perfect since I don't know how you could actually eat this as a sandwich, but it did mean that only one of us had the hash brown. A different take on the PEC which was very good. The pancakes were a solid complement with real maple syrup, but the cinnamon roll was a bit dense and chewy...next time I think we will try the red velvet. Overall, the menu is great for families with something for everyone. My GF had the churro coffee which she enjoyed, but I thought that my latte tasted burnt. Not a big deal, but next time I might just order a regular coffee...YMMV. We had no problem making a 10:45am reservation Sunday morning and Elli's was not too busy when we arrived, but it did get busy while we were there and it looks like a lot of regulars with good foot traffic. We are fortunate to have so many solid options in Red Bank and will be adding Elli's to our rotation.

A Perfect Birthday celebration at Elli’s Backyard! My daughter’s birthday celebration at Elli’s Backyard was an absolute triumph, and I can't recommend this spot enough for any special occasion. From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptionally well-planned and executed, making my party completely stress-free and truly memorable. The decor was fantastic. The Ellis Backyard staff had clearly taken great care in setting up our reserved space. The ambiance they created was sophisticated and festive—just what I'd hoped for—and it provided a beautiful backdrop for all our photos. The food itself was great, and the real showstopper of the evening was the s'mores tray. It was an unexpected, fun, and utterly decadent dessert that had everyone happily toasting marshmallows at the table. What truly elevated the experience was the exceptional service. Our dedicated hostess was a rockstar. She was incredibly attentive and available throughout the entire evening, anticipating our needs without being intrusive. Moreover, the coordination was an absolute breeze. All the planning beforehand was handled with ease and professionalism, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. It's rare to find a venue where the execution matches the promise, but Elli’s Backyard delivered flawlessly.

I had my wedding here 11/30/25 best idea ever!! everything was perfect. the room was gorgeous, Food was great. we can not thank you all enough, The owner Pat who went above and beyond, our server Annie whom is fantastc and the whole staff our day was beautiful thank you

My wife and I traveled from Northeast TN to Metlife Stadium to see System of a Down and Korn do a live show. On the way back, we went to Red Bank to see Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash, which is just a short walk from Elli's Backyard. We wanted to have a local lunch and we felt a particular charm from Elli's as we passed by. We had a low priced lunch, just a couple sandwiches with fries, and the food was delicious! The staff we interacted with was very friendly and courteous. It was an overall good vibe that will certainly bring us back next time we're in town.

Atmosphere inside its clean and cute the coffee was terrible,!! Are server told us that they had changed the coffee and it had a terrible taste to it.. and the food was okay.

Elli's Backyard is a chill casual place to grab a bite to eat. We ate there for dinner and overall had a good experience. The wait staff is beyond lovely, patient and on top of things for a table of eight adults. They equally took great care of another table of eight, half of whom are children. Hospitality is on point, friendly and not over the top. The menu has a mix of American to Italian to Asian influence so there's something for everyone. Some items are very very large portion and some are perfectly fine for one person. This applies to apps, salads, mains and desserts. I think there is room for improvement to indicate which items are good for sharing and which ones aren't. I ended up with an app, entree and dessert that could easily feed two diners. No complaints, it just looked insane in front of me lol. The bang bang shrimp and mozzarella sticks were the overall favorite on the apps. I had a poke salad which could easily feed four people. Mains ranged from pastas to brown sugar salmon, lasagna special and pineapple bowl. Everything came out hot and fresh, some of the chicken in the mains were a little tough, bit then again that is typical for chicken breast. If you could, get an extra order of the mashed sweet potatoes, sides here are all phenomenal. The desserts were all winners as well. The backyard bomb in particular, over the top and delicious!!! Imagine a chocolate lava cake, nut inside a giant stuffed chocolate chip cookie the size of a softball. I loved that you got to pick your flavor choice of ice cream to go on top. Prices were fair for downtown Red Bank and the dining room large and not crowded which is very much appreciated.

The food was really good. I got the spinach mozzarella tortellini off the specials menu. I ordered it with Alfredo sauce but got vodka sauce, which was fine. It was still really good. The only thing that I thought was weird is there was a ring camera in the bathroom right next to the toilet that I didn’t notice until after I was done using it. So you might want to unplug that before you use their bathroom.

I came here on a very cold Sunday morning. There were only a few other people there. I chose just to get two eggs and the fruit cup. My son and daughter-in-law chose from the larger selections. Even though the restaurant was sparsely attended, service was very slow. My eggs over easy had some raw whites and were stone cold. The fruit cup was very good with a good variety including blueberries, apples and pineapple. My daughter-in-law enjoyed her eggs Benedict but said the accompanying potatoes had good flavor but weren't crispy enough. My son also had those potatoes and agreed with her. Both said the eggs weren't cooked as they'd specified but had good flavor and weren't cold. The high point was the pancakes which came with my son's meal and they both said they were worth coming back for. If I ever return that's what I'll order. I guess my main complaint was that I never had an opportunity to get my eggs warmed up. The waiter stopped by to ask how everything was but he stood directly behind me and after my son replied he scurried off before I could say a word. The menu has many attractive choices and I think the restaurant is worth checking out.

I was so excited to try this restaurant the Atmosphere was really cute! Had the poke bowl and the Tuna was poor quality and just not great. Dads steak sandwich was lacking too much bread and not enough filling. Worst part was they served our kids "dirt cups" put the pudding had gone sour.

A group of us went to lunch at Eli’s Backyard. None of us are from the area and thought it would be a great place to go based on reviews and pictures. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. The utensils were not properly washed and some still had stuck on food. The mason jar glasses all had water stains on them. We finally ordered our food. Food took really long to receive even though only another table was occupied. Three of us reached our food and the 4th person had to wait another 5-10 minutes to receive the omelette she ordered. After examining her food she found a HAIR in her breakfast potato’s. And another found a HAIR embedded in her burger. The waiter was very apoplectic and did comp all of us our food after spending a long time trying to get a hold of the manager that was not on location. As cute of a place it is, we were very disappointed that we could not enjoy the food. I would not recommend this place for lunch!

Went a couple months ago so not sure if they made any changes, but I will not be going again. I ordered corned beef hash breakfast and they served it on a scratched teflon pan instead of a plate, which seemed unnecessary. Could have forgiven that gimmick if the food was good, but it wasnt. Over easy eggs were overcooked as well. They had a clothesline of bacon on the menu, as well as some other stuff. It is 2025, and still having 2010 hipster food presentation is wild. If you’re going to make a huge display of the food like that, at least make sure the food is good.

Server was terrible. Waiting forever for a server. she never took our drink order. She brought a bottle of water- no glasses. We waited a long time for glasses. Order was cold. She didn't count my change properly - then argued. Not a great experience

Food was very bad. Went there with my family, tables are old and chairs very uncomfortable. Glasses on the table musty and dirtier than the bathroom mirror. Silverware old, looked like it’s been used for at least decade. Doesn’t make sense because it’s a fairly new restaurant in Red Bank. And I honestly see why everyone you ask “how’s Ellie’s Backyard in Red Bank they’ll tell you, it’s not good or they never been because they heard it’s not good.” But I had to try it. Server looked like she didn’t wanna be there, my daughter who’s a server said it yea that was very poor server skills. It’s a service you would get at Waffle House or IHOP. Asked for an another set of silverware she took about 5 mins, maybe more, just for it to be dirty again. I’m sorry but for the price and location of the restaurant things should be different. servers should be asking customers how their day been and where they from and were they going. Not just “Hi welcome to Ellie’s have you been here before?”. Bathrooms dirty and looks like it’s for a whole different building. I don’t even want to get into the food as much, tastes less. Meat was cooked to the point I asked yes. But no tastes, weird and chewy texture. I’ve worked behind the grill for 15 years I know what frozen food tastes like. It’s sad I wish I could say something good. It took me 1 full day to write this and I mean in no disrespectful way, but it was the worst restaurant I’ve been in all my life and my wife and kids agreed!

I recently came here to eat with the hope that my health and wellness would be safely taken care of and prioritized and was heartbroken to find out it was not. My allergy was not taken care of as I was surely promised it would be and led to an extremely uncomfortable hospital visit an hour away from my home town. Beyond this, I am very disappointed in the way that this restaurant has decided to handle this. Despite calling multiple times, requesting to speak to management, and more, it took a Google review to finally get a response. This response was so hurtful because of the gaslighting nature and tone. Before even getting any information on my dining experience, order, date of attendance, etc. they tried to tell us that they were able to check the footage and the receipts of my order without even knowing who we are. Beyond this they tried to make it seem like we were making up the facts about the exposure definitely being at this facility. Finally, they listed facts in their response that were blatant lies and made it seem like we were trying to tear down their restaurant by sharing our experience. They tried to tell us our family has dined at this restaurant before which is completely incorrect. Deeply upsetting and unforgivable. Do not recommend dining here especially if you have severe food allergies!!
