Something of a classic that seems to be able to keep up its ability to serve really good Mexican food year after year. And you won't be disappointed. Chips and salsa to start... Did I mention they bring 2 different salsas. The burritos are huge. Delicious food and friendly staff.

One of our favorite places to eat in the South Bay. The food is great and the margaritas are amazing. The molcajete is great and we love the tamarindo margaritas the most.

Went here on a whim and LOVED the food. The carne asada was AMAZING. the servers were so sweet. The atmosphere is cozy and cute. Will definitely be coming again.

This is one of our favorite restaurants, great food and exceptional service especially Javier. We love it so much we had our wedding celebration at Lupitas. Really a large menu and everything is prepared well. They even prepare my shrimp fajitas with nopales. The shrimp burrito is exceptional.

Found out they do Karaoke after going there for 5 years. Love this place. Best carnitas. And even better when you get to share them with the woman you love! I recommend this place to anyone that loves good food!

Firstly, the food is absolutely "spot on." Every bite of random choices (including taco Tuesday) is what drives Mexican cuisine's rating as "top's in the world." This chef knows what he's doing! He is driven to perfection...and nails it. You are served by people who are happy to be there serving you. Attentive! The ambiance is cozy warmth...Mexican style. Vibrant tile tables...carved wood chairs, leather covered seating lend to the atmosphere. Charming! We watched the start of the World Series on one of their multi-placed large screens. The Owner/Host Enrique is present to see everything is run to perfection. He started as a dishwasher, new to this Country...and worked his way up to Ownership. He knows his stuff and you experience it. On my top 10 Lunch List!

We got tacos to go for their taco Tuesday and they were so yummy! The taco shells were just crunchy enough and love their salsa. Definitely will be back for more!!

My girl had shrimp sauteed in garlic and butter. Fantastic. I intended to take pictures of our plates. Blame the margaritas. . . . A great choice if you're looking for a new spot.

Good food and service would go again.

Excellent food here! I had the Chile Colorado plate, and honestly it was the best Chile Colorado I’ve ever had. Margaritas were good, chips freshly made, salsa and guacamole fresh and delicious. Service was good, not rushed. Will definitely be back!

A case of a fine Mexican food. The servers and the chefs are great. Warm atmosphere so come down and have some margaritas.anhave some great Mexican food your choice. But not my treat.

Hands down the BEST traditional Mexican food in the Redondo / Hermosa / Torrance area. Great service as well as a full bar. The only thing that keeps Lupita’s from 5 star the interior and restrooms need some TLC.

Lupitas is a nice Mexican restaurant with very good food. The service was very good but the place was not terribly busy. We were able to sit outside, but the place where they put the tables was only meant for 2 people. I would've given them 5 stars, but the salsa lacked a kick. Pretty watery.

More Chicano style Mexican. They use Mozzarella & Anaheim chiles for their Chile rellenos. Nice ambiance though. Prices are high for the amount of food & quality you get.

Great food, bad chips, good salsa. It hurts to have good salsa with stale chips. They mix the new chips with the old so every 4th chip is good. So if you don't eat the chips you'll love it.

Food was good , but it felt like I was bothering the server. I was seated right away and it was a slow rainy night but there were customers ordering food. I was a party of 1 and maybe server thought they were not going to make any tips that night. Don't normally frequent this area but you think on a rainy night they would be estatic to see customers.

He then sat in the restaurant with paying customers as he drank his own drinks. Made me and my girlfriend feel very uncomfortable. Staff didn't seem to care at all which shocked us both. We left as quickly as possible (as did others)

I've gone to Lupitas for about 10 years, but after a horrible fish taco incident I won't go back - which is a shame, as I live within walking distance. The fish wasn't fresh, but frozen, and was still cold on the inside when they served the tacos. I only ate one and threw the other away. There is too much good Mexican in the area to bother with this place.

I order 4 beef hard tacos, the ground beef is not meat, didn’t taste anything like beef it taste more like threaded cardboard, the taco tortillas were to grease, very tasteless food. No heart in it..

Food was good ,but unless you want to keep a date hostage you might want to go to another restaurant. It was super slow and only half full.

Received poor service, waitress more concern with friends at another table then serving me another beer, chips, and salsa which tasted like ketchup. Try adding some peppers to the salsa. My burrito was ‘ok’, would have liked some jalapenos peppers with it to give it some flavor. At least the beer was cold.

Save your money 💰 this was horrible microwaved food. They should be shamed for charging $25+ per plate.

Chips were warm but tasted semi-stale. The "spicy" salsa tasted like an old can of enchilada sauce with some red pepper mixed in. Cadillac margarita was the most sour I've ever had even after pouring in the shot of Grand Marnier. I got the Lupita chicken chimichanga. It was served hot and fresh and pretty good size. Nothing special in terms of seasoning of the chicken so when I ran out of the accompanying sour cream and guacamole I lost interest. One waitress to serve the entire restaurant on Thursday at dinnertime. She gets an "A" for effort. Management gets an "F". This is the first Mexican restaurant I've eaten at that made me wish I had eaten at Taco Bell instead.

Food was terrible and poor quality. The breakfast burrito had potatoes and eggs. There were more hashbrowns in the burrito than anything else and it tasted like freezer burned hashbrowns. The Enchelada was a poor serving and tasteless. For a place that has reviews for being one of the best Mexican restaurants by the daily breeze it was terrible. I dont recommend this restuarant.

Saturday cook didnt now how to cook at all waiter confirmed it ! Waiter was just staring weird . Never really rate places but but this place was just no good . The steak was salty and the fajitas was good except the bell pepper and mushroom were burn and had alot of oil . It wasn't what i expect never coming back .

Don't go there if you have allergies. I asked for no sodium (chemical reaction to salt) and whole beans. They made a mistake with beans and had to switch out. The cook put double salt on the warm shrimp fajitas salad maybe out of spite. The bottom of the salad was so salty. I will never return. My boyfriend ordered shredded chicken and got shredded beef.

The service was horrible. The server favored larger parties than myself and daughter. Gave them all of their drinks and food before I had mine and I was there way before they were. I would have loved to try the food but I couldn’t wait 20 minutes for a drink and another 20 minutes for my meal when they gave my daughter her food within minutes.

The server needs a serious refresher course on table service. Everytime we have eaten here in the past, he seems to always forget an order and seems to have a bad attitude. Also, Lupita's is known for its award winning flan - every time we have visited, they are ALWAYS out of it. It's really stupid to have an award winning item on the menu that never seems to be available.
