This place is a little pricey then other taco restaurants $34.59 for one person

This restaurant is all good in every way!!! The food is always fresh, seasoned to perfection, and cooked to the right temperature. The employees are nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.

My son was SO excited when El Pollo Loco came to Texas. I now love this place too! Chicken is charred just right, nice and juicy. The people that work there are so nice. I really love everything on the menu.

The staff are super friendly. I don't mean just saying "Hi, how are you" but genuinely warm, inviting, and caring. Every time I have visited, I have felt very welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend going here! The food is fresh and your taste buds will do the cha-cha!

Food was fresh. Chips are consistently great. Not sure what they season them with but I can't stop eating chips and dip from here. The chicken is great too. Cooked over a large grill the smoke and smell wafts throughout the interior. Not your typical fast food. There is a horchata dispenser near the soda machine. Nice touch.

Friendly staff in the drive thru. I picked up dinner at El Pollo Loco yesterday because they have a great Double Chicken Tostado meal that has plenty of fresh grilled chicken with lots of toppings including fresh avocado. I was glad to have received excellent service from Alejandro (order taker) and Iris (food delivery). Iris and Alejandro were smiling and friendly, and my dinner was delicious, as always. Thank you El Pollo Loco.

The customer service here is great! The manager is attentive and makes sure everything is good with your meal. Which is really nice. Clean restaurant and quick service. I love the grilled chicken from here.

I have been going to Pollo Loco since this location opened. There is such a big variety of food to try on their menu. I have yet to taste one of their food items that I have not liked or loved. Their double chicken avocado salad is probably my favorite since I love salads. The crew is always so pleasant and friendly. Absolutely love this place!

I gave this location 5 stars based on quality, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff. The flavor of my meal was delicious. But the chicken pieces were very small. The gravy was water thin. It tasted great. I'd recommend this location to anyone in the Richardson area. And I'm basing this rating a 5 because I was impressed with the store.

I come here with my mom every other Tuesday and it never disappoints. We work everywhere in Dallas and have found different places to eat. I get so excited when I know we are going to pollo loco. They are so nice. They keep it clean. The food is amazing.

Easy, and great service! It was my 1st time coming here. Not just the location but overall trying their food. I was trying to order online and the system kept saying error, it charged my card but I didn’t get a confirmation number. I went inside to ask about my order. The young lady in the front understood and talked to her manager. They said they didn’t receive my order, but they were going to give it to me. Honestly I will be coming back, such great experience and can’t wait to try their food! 🙂

Came to Pollo Loco today with my kids and the ladies were so nice and polite. I needed help picking something and she gave me suggestions and I ended up loving the food. I will definitely be coming back! The restaurant was also very clean and nice setting to eat at.

Been wanting to try their food. Got the dark meat with 2 sides. Was delicious. Beans are a slight bit spicy, but loved them. Chicken was well cooked & very flavorful. Salsa was good as was coleslaw, though it could use a tad more dressing. Will eat here again. Chicken is grilled verses fried and fat is rendered off pieces.

El Pollo Loco seems to be the best kept secret in Richardson. There is really never any line in the drive thru, which is good for me! The food is excellent. Service is great and detailed. I had the rollers on Saturday and my wife had the tostada salad, which is her favorite. It's a great picnic for us. We order and eat in the parking lot. Also, their packaging is second to none! Really topnotch.

The girl at the cash register was very helpful. I told her I was scared of spicy hot food. When my order was ready she said I added a side of sour cream in case it's too spicy for you. Didn't ask for it, she was just providing excellent customer service. I will go back for sure.

I tried this place out today during lunch and used the drive-thru. Chicken was great and crispy, the mac and cheese was real cheesy and not dry at all. The mashed potatoes were very delicious as well. They don't include spoons when you order a soup just a fork and knife with a napkin. I ordered the 2 piece chicken and paid extra for breast and wing but the portion still seemed small.

They have a drive-through, but I prefer to dine-in. The last time I ate there Jeffrey took my order. I got the 3 tacos special for $5. I chose the avocado 🥑 tacos. Add your special salsas for free. The tacos were delicious. I recommend everything on the menu. Download the App for additional good offers. I finally had a chance to experience one of my favorite food chains again while on business in Richardson, TX. The chicken was superb! I elected to wait for the new batch to finish cooking. I was able to get a nice pic of the tasty birds on the grill! Staff were very helpful with getting me the action shot! 🔥 Big props to the two young cooks, cashier and manager. Customer service #1! For my sides I had beans and rice and corn on the cob. Everything was freshly prepared. A mix of corn and flour tortillas with the avocado sauce and mild salsa. I look forward to returning to the location on my next visit !

I've been here twice, and all the food is delicious. Yeah, it's fast food but the flavors are elevated. The corn elote is really good, the chicken is nicely seasoned, not bland or dry at all. It's becoming one of my favorite lunch and dinner places for a quick bite without paying much.

They have a cauliflower rice bowl with chicken and Avocado. The dressing is creamy cilantro lime, and it's delicious. The portion is filling. It also comes with queso fresco, but I opted out. It's around 7 bucks and worth it.

This place is great. Really. It is. High quality fast food. I even hesitate to call it fast food. The food is so fresh. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. The owner or manager is on top of things and you can tell he cares about having good product and is there all the time walking around checking on people. The tostada salad is awesome. I don't know how they do their tostada shells but I want bags of them to eat by themselves.

Always excellent! The place is super clean. We got some fries since we have to drive an hour to get there (so we can eat something on the way back) They were a little bit pricey $4 dollars. They were just put in a bag so they were getting soggy by the second. The seasoning is really good but only a few fries go it. Other than that, everything else is as good as always. Oh! The salsas were filled only a quarter of the tiny container they give you.

1st visit/would return. Ordered the quesadillas. Tried the chicken breast and shredded chicken and avacado flavoring. These things are like big fat burritos, but are shaped like big pentagons. Flavors are good. The salsa bar has a great - it has regular salsa, fiery salsa, and an avocado green salsa. Restaurant is clean and employees seem friendly and helpful. Location has free wifi.

Chicken is moist and tasty, but for a "first-timer" I found the menu a little confusing since it didn't match the El Pollo Loco app's menu that I looked at first. I ended up ordering a "create your own" salad by accident, but enjoyed it anyway! The restaurant gets really busy at lunchtime but the restaurant is clean and bright. It's great having this restaurant in Richardson; we'll be back!

By far, some of the best mashed potatoes and gravy I’ve ever tasted, and the chicken was good too. However, I asked for hot sauce, like red hot sauce, several times, but they only gave me green sauce. I believe there was a slight language barrier, but I’ll ask in Spanish next time! The service was ok... but far from service with a smile. But still ok. Food was fresh and warm. The avocado salsa was defiantly the highlight. The benches are torn and tattered and the inside of the store could be a bit cleaner. All in all it's was ok that's it.

They need to change the grease in their fryers more often. You can tell by the taste of the fried food (tortilla). The food was great the first visit & the opposite the next visit. I may try them one more time. I do like the hibiscus agua fresca.

This used to be a five star review, but the past five or so times I've picked up chicken, either by indoor pickup or curbside, I've had to wait a long time. It seems like they keep taking drive through orders and never get around to fulfilling orders that come in through the app, even when the app order was made first. Really disappointing service considering how good the food is.

Service saved this place. The cashier was polite and knowledgeable. Fifteen minute wait on some items. No ice in the icemachine. Couldn't fill from drive-thru. A side of beans on the paper plates was equivalent to 13 beans or 3 spoonfuls. The bathroom was full the entire visit. I don't know if a homeless person was encamped in there or if someone was in distress. Pro tip; order via the drive thru as the containers are bigger, and you can use the bathroom.

The food was ok. We stopped in before a school event. I had the bowl and it was decent. It was expensive for the tiny amount of food they give you. But I do like the fact that you can see them cooking the chickens on the grill which is nice. It seems clean, friendly and food seemed better than other places like this.

If I was to rated the restaurant based on the foods alone. It would have been a 2* (or even 1*). But the girl that took the order was very patience and super helpful so I am giving this place a 3*. We ordered a 3 pieces meal and Texas Chicken Fajitas platter. My wife said her 3 pieces meal is alright, nothing to write home about but not bad either. However, my chicken fajitas is literally tasted and looked like boil strips of chicken breasts... and the veggies.. also looked like steamed veggies instead of grilled.... The most bland taste fajitas I ever had. Even the frozen fajitas you get from Walmart would tastes and smell better....

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. And we decided to try today. The service was nice and friendly. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken n a cup of chicken tortilla soup. The salad was OK but nothing to be impressed by just an average salad. The chicken tortilla soup tasted just like the ones from a can; it was a big disappointment for me.. However, will definitely try the other items on the menu next time.

It was a truly sad day for me. I remember eating Pollo loco as an adolescent. To me, it has now been gentrified. I got two tortillas with my meal. The days when you could order a whole are gone. The smell of charcoal is a distant memory. They have salads now. I won't be coming back.

My son and daughter had the three-piece chicken with two sides. Their sides were macaroni and cheese and broccoli. My daughter also ordered a taco that through the app it was requested not to put the sauce on there, which they did, which she did not like and overpowered the taco as well as make the tortilla soggy. The vegetables had no seasoning. The macaroni and cheese, according to them was worse than the box stuff from Kraft. I had the cheesy chicken and rice bowl, which was average at best. I also had the shredded chicken taco, that was probably the best thing outside of the salsa itself. Five, and the shredded chicken taco a three. My wife had the shredded beef stuffed quesadilla as well as the avocado chicken taco. Both were average. I like the thickness of the chips, however the flavor was non-existent. I had high hopes for the new items that were on the menu, but was let down. Don't think I'll get the family to try this again. Not sure about me.

Just redeemed 10500 points because I was a little short on cash until payday. I ordered the 2pc combo with Thigh and leg. They gave me the two smallest pieces of meat they could find, probably because I used points no doubt. The thigh barely had any meat on it and the leg was pretty small as well. These chickens obviously never heard of the term, Never skip leg day!! They also forgot my salsa.

I used to like this place for it’s juicy and testy chicken. But this delivery I got was worse than even I can imagine!! It tastes like reheated leftovers, the chicken is super dry and not fresh. Got my mobile order and the chicken was dry and hard around the edges. Then when I ordered , the picture of the burrito had such a minute amount of rice I didn't even notice, but when I cut it in half.... It was a pure rice burrito. I called from the same place as I was handed the food, spoke to the manager, she offered to remake my order... She apparently didn't see I asked for no guacamole because halfway down I see green. The fast food joints just be giving us trash for our money.. you have to be troubled and inconvenienced to maybe get a product near what you pay.. and still it never is quality it seems. Don't serve it to your customers if you wouldn't serve it to yo mama! The first time! Like tf I have time to call, complain and return to get what you should have served me the first time. Smdh. It has been 6 months since I’ve visited, so hopefully things have improved, but here’s my review. Have been twice to this restaurant with hopeful expectations. Both times the chicken was terribly over cooked and so dry and hard that much of it was inedible. Both times. Friends with us agreed. Atmosphere was fair, not as clean as it should have been, staff was all very young and not trained in customer service nor noticing dining room cleaning needs. They were hanging out safely behind the counter together. Not sure who was the manager or if one was there. Quite disappointing. Will not return nor can I recommend this restaurant.

They usually get 5 stars from me but with the last experience, 2 at best. I went to this location on November 5th 2023 around 7 PM. I ordered what I always order (two pieces of dark chicken with two sides). I've never checked my order before because I never had to but I wish I had on this night because I would have given it back. I asked for two thighs and I received what looked like two half thighs. The meat was dry with very little meat. So basically, I was charged almost ten dollars for two personal sides and chicken fit for the trash. It's like they gave me what had been sitting on the side for hours to be pawned off on the next sucker. I've never experienced this before. Their food is always fresh and good. I've never seen 1/2 of a thigh served anywhere.

I’m so disappointedd, I ordered for delivery and received my double chicken tostada salad only to find out there was NO cilantro salad sauce in the bag and had to result to the green salsa verde which is fine I guess, the salad contained mainly lettuce, and I understand it’s a salad but every bite was literally just lettuce, there was not enough chicken for it to be a “double chicken” tostada salad, and come to find out THERE WAS A HAIR in my bowl halfway into eating it, I never leave reviews and have no control of which store doordash is gonna pick for me but i’m so disappointed with the order I received.

I'm normally a big fan of this place as you can see by my previous review. I ordered curbside and nobody came outside, I then came inside to let them know that I was there to pick up my order. The lady filled up my sides while I was there waiting inside and then gave me my order, instead of telling me that they were out of charro beans she then proceeded to give me a large side of charro bean juice.

First time to eat at this location second time to eat at Pollo Loco. I will go out of my way for good service. Needless to say I will not be back. The female worker that took my order was not friendly AT ALL she seemed upset . I asked her if she was OK and she said yes. If you do not like your job, then find another One! The female worker took My order with the same gloves that she made my food. I believe I was the only customer in at @ 2:20. Several other workers were there that could’ve taken my order or made my food. There was no need For her to do both with the same gloves and with a bad attitude.

Last week I got burned rice and chickens and without the sauces. I give them one more chance today and they forget the sauce. Terrible place. Would not come back again.

The ‘man’ that helped us walked away before we could pay, and then sent another worker to our table to get payment. ‘Man’ didn’t ask what type of tortillas we wanted, didn’t give me my cup, asked if it was a medium with my combo, but it was actually a large, and I didn’t receive my chips and salsa/tortillas with my combo. Chicken was dry. Girl behind counter looked high and non responsive. Double chicken Bowl with drink was $14.30 and there was no double anything. This place is a joke.

I ordered online and picked up my order at the store. When I walked in, the service staff were very apathetic and didn't communicate with me at all. They just handed me my food. After checking, I realized they had forgotten to include the extra chicken breast I ordered. I went back and asked them for it, but they didn't apologize and still didn't communicate with me. Finally, I got my chicken breast, but when I got home, I discovered they had forgotten my drink, and the broccoli hadn't been washed – it still had dirt on the stems and was already turning yellow... I think there's a reason this store has so many one-star reviews.

LAME! The Owner should be embarrassed about having a store run by inept staff! 1 person in line 1 car in the drive thru. I ordered a 4 piece mixed, the lady at the counter tells me it will 20 minutes. And no coleslaw, no wonder it is not busy with service like this the food is probably terrible as well! Be surprising if they stay in business much longer! It is the Owner's fault to have his store run this poorly!!! LAME!

Decided to have lunch here today, was I in for a mouth drop! As I sat down to eat an employee comes from behind the counter to wipe the dining room tables down with a small red bucket and towel. She cleans about 4 tables then literally goes to wipe down around the trash cans and around the hole of the trash cans, then proceeds to use this same towel to clean tables again! I couldn’t dispose of my food fast enough! Will never come back to this location. Wasted 14$! Sorry but that is disgusting.

Ordered chicken tostada. Requested sour cream on the side, never got it; and half the chicken was dried out. I found a surprise inside my food! I don't eat out much and this is a major reason why. Food prices are outrageous and the quality is even worse. The manager did right the wrong. Please check your food thoroughly before eating. I had taken two bites before I found the wrapper in my salad. I had mixed the salad with the dressing, the wrapper was at the bottom.

Update June 2021: this place isn't what it used to be. The food quality is never good now. The chicken is always dry. The corn tortillas are stale and even crunchy sometimes. They're always torn, and you get 2 tortillas with a combo meal which isn't enough. They always forget chips with the burrito combo meal and when you mention it to them they are usually unsure if the combo is supposed to come with them (despite the menu saying so). To top it off the chip size has gotten very small recently - 10 chips, a small torn burrito, and drink just isn't worn the money. Fast food Mexican will be better. This place used to be really good and my favorite mesquite grilled chicken. Please drive a little further to go somewhere better.
