Great atmosphere, quick and attentive service. It's an every kind of event resturant- date night, girls night, family gathering. Unique setup as well with a large bar in the center of the room and tables on the outskirts. Bar was full but not loud enough to make it difficult to hear. Just an all around unique place. The eggplant was delicious!
Not one bad thing to say. Excellent as always. Been going here for years and have not had a single bad experience from the service to the food
🎮🍝 Boss Fights and Bites Review – Pane Vino on the Avenue 🍝🎮 “Welcome back to Boss Fights and Bites — where we take on the battles of flavor one bite at a time. Today, we’re stepping into Pane Vino on the Avenue, and this one was special because we came here to celebrate my wife’s birthday.” “Right away, Pane Vino gives you that intimate, date-night kind of feel. The lighting is low, the atmosphere is calm, and it feels like a place where you’re meant to sit back, take your time, and enjoy the moment. It’s not loud or chaotic — it’s relaxed, comfortable, and welcoming.” “The service matched that same energy. The staff was friendly, attentive, and never rushed us. They checked in when needed, made sure everything was good, and let us enjoy the night. When you’re celebrating something important like a birthday, that kind of service really matters.” “Before the food even came out, they brought the bread to the table — and honestly, that deserves its own mention.” “The bread was warm, fresh, and soft on the inside with a nice crust. Paired with the butter, parmesan, and olive oil, it was one of those appetizers you keep reaching for without realizing it. Simple, but done right — and that’s always a good sign.” “Now let’s talk about the food — because that’s the main fight.” “We ordered the chicken parm, and presentation-wise, it came out looking exactly how you want it to. A generous portion, nicely plated, and you can tell right away this isn’t something that was thrown together.” “The chicken itself was thick and cooked properly. The breading had a nice crisp to it without being greasy, and the inside was tender and juicy — not dry at all. That balance is key with chicken parm, and they nailed it.” “The sauce was well done. Not too sweet, not too acidic — it complemented the chicken instead of overpowering it. You could taste everything working together instead of one flavor taking over.” “And the cheese? Melted evenly across the top, good coverage, no burnt spots, no rubbery texture. Each bite stayed together and felt intentional, which tells you the kitchen takes pride in what they’re putting out.” “Overall, the chicken parm was classic, comforting, and executed well. No gimmicks — just solid Italian food done right.” “So here’s my verdict: Food quality — strong. Service — consistent and professional. Atmosphere — perfect for a date night or special occasion.” **“Now let’s put some numbers to it. Food: 8.5 out of 10. Service: 9 out of 10. Atmosphere: 9 out of 10. Overall rating for Pane Vino on the Avenue: 8.8 out of 10.”** “That’s my take — now I want to hear from you. Have you been to Pane Vino? What’s your go-to Italian dish? Drop it in the comments, and don’t forget to like and subscribe for more reviews, only on Boss Fights and Bites.”
Phenomenal… like taking a trip to Italy! Meatballs are the best I’ve had in this country! Atmosphere and ambience is solid, and most importantly the service was spectacular, world class. From the hostess who made us feel welcomed the second we walked in, to the server Britney who was very pleasant, to the bus boys who were the ones that elevated the whole experience.. never once had to ask for anything.. they were on top of everything and made sure we had everything we needed at every single moment.. kudos to the bus boys crew for taking great care of us in that regard.. never been to a place where they are so attentive. Will be coming back for sure!
We attended a dental meeting at Pane Vino a few weeks ago were impressed with the attention to detail of the place. We intentioned to come back on a Wednesday for Prime Rib night. Tonight we enjoyed dinner before heading to & Juliet with the RBTL. It far exceeded our expectations! We had forgotten that the prime rib special came with a dozen clams and were elated. Anthony our server was on the ball and very pleasent. The decorations for Christmas were tasteful, plentiful and absolutely amazing! We had such a wonderful time, we’re planning on making this a regular evening out! Try it for yourself!
We have always had an excellent experience here on “The Avenue”. The bartender is gifted, his/ her old fashioned cocktail is divine. The tripe appetizer (which I am not normally a fan of —ever!) convinced me that when properly prepared, is something exquisite to experience. Tender and flavorful, it is better than what we have tasted in our European travels. Salads are always fresh and flavorful. The ricotta gnocchi was also incredible, cheesy with fresh grape tomatoes. Yum. Our group was impressed with the Friday evening special - broiled haddock stuffed with crabmeat stuffing and topped with a creamy lobster sauce. Wine list is varied and reasonably priced. Can’t comment on dessert- we were all too full to taste- maybe next time! Thumbs up, great experience tonight, as always.
Pane Vino on the Avenue in Pittsford is a gem! The food is always delicious, the staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is really inviting. Their private room is perfect for events—spacious, stylish, and the service is always on point. Definitely a go-to for a nice dinner or a special get-together!
We go at least twice a month. Have had office staff and meetings, dinner with friends and just to sit at the Bar for sharing with my wife. Food, drinks and staff are excellent. They are ready to adjust if there is a change you desire. Nico is just the best. He remembers everyone’s names, family, their favorite drinks, meals and sides. A true professional. We ask for him whenever possible!!!!
I recently celebrated my daughter for her baby shower at Pane Vino on the Avenue in Pittsford. From start to finish it was amazing. From the beginning , their day of planner, Angela, was detail oriented and was there early morning the day of the event to help set up. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail of my vision came to life. The owner Rene was there early too to be sure everything went perfectly. Now for the best!!! THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Hot and delicious! Chef Mike even went as far as to hand carve out lemons for my sorbet dessert to be served in. I really can’t thank everyone enough! Truly grateful for great experience.
The best and most consistent Italian restaurant in Rochester. Every time we visit, the service has been great. The food always tastes fresh with the best red sauce and pasta. The meatballs are a nice starter, and the grilled chicken Ceasar salad can be a nice meal too. If you want real Italian food, stop Pane Vino.
What a wonderful dining experience from the service to food. Had a large party celebrating a birthday and had reservations in their outdoor seating section. It was a very charming area. Started with calamari, and it was full of flavor. We fought over the last few pieces. The bread came with an assortment of add ons. The focaccia bread was a table favorite from the variety in the basket. I ordered a veal special, and I'm sorry my picture doesn't give justice to how good it really was. The food items arrived hot...a must in my book.....and thr veal melted in your mouth. My leftovers were even better the next day...... Highly recommend. Just know it's pricy but for quality 👌.
We had a absolutely fantastic experience here! Stopped by for a bourbon tasting, and immediately went for dinner after. I had the chicken Milanese, which came perfectly breaded and extra crispy. My girlfriend had the gnocchi with spring vegetables. Thick luscious and delicious sauce, with perfectly cooked, still snappy greens. Drinks were also great. We will definitely be coming back.
Attended a private corporate presentation in a large, private room, which had a private bar in it. The room was great. The sirloin filet was perfectly cooked as I had asked for and the vegetables were all fresh. Even the coffee, which was quite strong, was the perfect compliment to the dense chocolate cake or whatever it was. In the main dining rooms, the tenor was lively and there was live music maybe a piano player with singer. Overall, it was very clean and the service team was exceptional. I'll be back to try the full dining experience.
It was well decorated! The hostress was nice & friendly. Ther sever not so much for me? Told him twice I did not want the club sandwich. Just the sandwich. I received the club sandwich with all the bead I didn't want! Our group was 12 of us! Our Christmas end of our Naomi Circle for the year party lunch!
While the chef tried to make the food taste good, the short rib was less than tasteful. Our waiter smelled like a cigarette and made me feel like we were just a tip for him. The musician was very good. Unfortunately, we will not go back as we expected more for the cost.
I have been a loyal patron of both locations for years, celebrating various special occasions and attending family performances. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was subpar, from the initial phone reservation to being seated and the food quality, which did not justify the prices. When making the reservation, the gentleman on the phone seemed rushed and extremely rude, which set a negative tone. Upon arrival, there was a discrepancy regarding the number of guests in my party, which he insisted was incorrect. This is a result of his lack of communication. I found the price of the iceberg salad to be excessive, featuring only a few ingredients for $15. 6 chickpeas, 2 cucumbers, 5 little tiny pieces of salami and 1 peppercini. The Chicken Anthony dish I ordered was also disappointing, consisting of a bowl of watery soup with minimal risotto and unappetizing chicken. My food was floating. No exaggeration. When I inquired about the issue with my waiter, he merely stated that the dish comes with a generous amount of sauce, which did not address my concerns. I was disheartened that the staff offered no apologies, discounts, or alternative dishes to rectify the situation. As a result, I was eager to leave and was embarrassed to have brought friends to experience such poor service and cuisine as their chicken French was the same. Hardly any pasta and in a bowl of watered soup. The entire evening felt rushed, and the staff's demeanor was consistently rude. I regret to say that I will not be returning to this establishment in the future.
