The staff is always so friendly! Our food has been great, and has enough heat for my soulless taste buds. Everything is bright and fresh. And the drink selection! 😍

Delein was amazing!! Food was 10/10. So many tequilas. I’m a picky marg girl, they were awesome. Chicken fajitas were great, too! Get the spicy cucumber with fuego bitters. We also had a shell fish allergy and they cooked the meat separate :)

A nice surprise located inside Kalahari Resort. We played the menu very safe, but enjoyed our tacos and quesadillas. I saw a lot of bad reviews for service and fajitas, but our server was good (still learning) and I wouldn't compare their fajitas to Texas mainstays just yet. Give this place some time to refine a few things and they will do just fine. Protip: If you are ordering margaritas, consider a skinny or straight tequila with a splash of your favorite mixer. They have a wide variety of tequila on the menu, so don't waste that goodness with too much other juices and sugars. Also, I would pass on the queso for appetizer. A little bland for more liking, but again, we eat TexMex 3-4 outings per week.

Had late dinner at this place, it’s located on the first floor of Kalahari resorts. Indoor/outdoor seating large enough space that can take many people in Friendly staff and fast service. If you like margaritas then is is the right place for you.

Let's just start off with....I have been here before. If you have...you need to go again! The decor is spot on for pics, great atmosphere, and experience. The food...new menu...next level. The best birria beef taco presentation...and flavor around! I expect greasy...but it wasn't. It was flavorful, filling, and fantastic! And don't judge but i also tried the mahi mahi taco...so tasty! Beyond that...the staff is impeccable. Not just saying that...have you met MIGUEL? You'll feel like you've been friends with him for years and offers great advice in ordering off the menu based on your preferences or food restrictions. Highly recommend ordering a millionaire margarita...get your phone out when he (Miguel) arrives at your table. Great memories, great atmosphere, great experience....from a person who has high expectations!! (And a shout out to the manager, ADRIAN, who usually checks on tables throughout the place (witnessed) to make sure your experience is above and beyond! Great job Cinco Ninos. See ya next time!!

Such a fun night! We are Round Rock locals and hadn't made it to Kalahari yet. For our 10 year wedding anniversary we decided to check the hotel out! After walking around and checking out all of our dining options (there are quite a few!) we chose Cinco Ninos because it was cutely decorated (their tex-mex Christmas trees are gorgeous!) and inviting although a little challenging to find on the first floor. As soon as we sat down chips and salsa were delivered. The chips were so so good- warm and crispy! The salsa wasnt terrible but it's not spicy at all- and it has some pretty intense garlic aftertaste. Not a show-stopper at all, especially for hotel food. We ordered the chicken/beef fajitas for two. Being lifelong Texans we've had plenty of fajitas, but I believe these were the best we've ever had! So tender, warm, and perfectly seasoned. Our only spot for criticism here is that the corn tortillas were tough to chew, but the flour tortillas were soft and flavorful. The portions are GENEROUS and the dinner is presented in a way that a couple can share the fajita meat but have their own options on sides. We ordered a sangria and a margarita that we were both super happy with! The bartender was sweet to advise our waiter that my drink request may not have been best and she recommended something else. She was spot-on and I appreciate her watching out for me! What she recommended was perfect! A generous amount of alcohol for both drinks and so so tasty! The true winner of the night though was our waiter, Isaiah. He gave us the perfect balance of excellent, attentive service and leaving us alone enough to enjoy our conversation. He also made honest and thoughtful recommendations and suggestions on menu options that really met exactly what we wanted. Could not have had a better anniversary dinner! Everything was perfect and so good! If you find yourself at Kalahari looking for restaurant options be sure to visit Cinco Ninos- and be sure to ask for Isaiah!

Good stuff, Enes was our server and he did an excellent job and was very friendly. Food was amazing, and the table salsa was one of the best restaurant salsas I've ever had.

Delicious Food, Very nice atmosphere. But above all our server named “RICKY”. I wanted to take a moment to commend the exceptional service we received from Ricky. His attentiveness, friendliness, and professionalism truly enhanced our dining experience. It was a pleasure to be served by someone so dedicated to providing outstanding customer service. And to kaylee, she was so nice when i asked her to take us a picture. Keep it up the excellent service!

The food was exceptional! The service was fabulous! Great atmosphere and reasonable prices. Music played was upbeat and perfect for the setting. Mandar D was our server and he was awesome overall!

We had an awesome experience all because of the awesome waitstaff and bartender that we had! Our waitress was Delein, she was very kind and patient with us and our children (even though they were packed and close to closing. She was amazing! And Ashley was our bartender was also awesome, she was in the back bar and definitely took care of everyone . Thank you !

WOW!! Best food at the khalahari resort. We got the guacamole to start along with some margaritas. Borh were fabulous. For entrees we got the burrito and shrimp tacos. Talk about delicious! The service was absolutely fantastic!! I forget the gentlemans name but he gave us great recommendations and had a good laugh over what I thought was onion soup but really some type of dip 😂😂

Fun and laid back atmosphere. We celebrated a birthday and Cinco Ninos were accommodating. The chips and salsa were excellent! We also enjoyed the fajitas, salad and queso dip.

We had a great time at Cinco Ninos. Our server Jeramy was fantastic and really made our night. The food was great and my husband had fun doing to burrito challenge. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Cinco Niños restaurant at Kalahari offers delicious food, a pleasant ambiance, and exceptional service. I ordered steak fajitas and shrimp tacos, both of which were flavorful, and my daughter and I really enjoyed them. The terra-cotta plates and the Mexican hand-blown glasses, with their rustic design, added a fun touch to our dining experience.

I went in yesterday for Taco Tuesday and of course they were super busy with it being Spring Break. I just wanted to give a huge s/o to Tonya she had several tables yesterday she tackled and took care of each one of us and was very apologetic about the delays and even cold queso that was brought to our table. I appreciated her hustle and grace when she could’ve broke down she handled it very well and with a huge smile on her face at all times. I also want to thank Kayleigh (the manager) for helping her out when she noticed how busy she got. I really loved the teamwork they put in to it and even the young man that helped her bring us our food. You all handled it with such grace and I appreciate y'all's hard work yesterday!!! & TONYA YOU ROCK!!!!

My family and I had an amazing experience! Our food was great and came out rather quickly. The waiter, Miguela, had the best personality and attitude! The table next to us was so extremely rude to him, but the way he handled it was fabulous!!! When we come back we will definitely be asking for him!

Delein (and all the staff including the manager) were so friendly and nice. Excellent customer service!!!!! The food was delicious too. They had a great Taco Tuesday menu. It was also kid friendly which is always a great find for a parent. I will definitely be going back every time I am in the area. The restaurant was clean and bright fun decor.

Great place. Family friendly. We enjoyed the food. Our server Tonya was the absolute best thing about Cinco Ninos. Tonya made sure that we chose dishes that we were going to enjoy. She went o great lengths to ensure we had a pleasant experience. Can't say enough good things about her!!

We made a reservation, but honestly not needed. We were seated pretty quickly. For someone who cooks Hispanic food at home pretty often. This was really good. I ordered the Mahi taco plate with a side of salsa verde that had a little kick. So good

Delein was a wonderful server, she gave us great recommendations, and was very friendly! My kiddos loved it too, the chips and queso was probably their favorite. Would definitely come back for the spicy cucumber margaritas and fish tacos!!

I want to compliment Enes on how he make us feel welcome and accommodating to us. We do not see many that puts effort on making sure we feel welcome and accommodating . He used pen and paper to communicate and learned to use some signs. That’s above and beyond service. Also the food is amazing!

My and my family went for taco Tuesday dinner. We live close by and wanted to try it out. There was a long wait for a table but they were able to squeeze us in pretty quickly. Our server was so sweet she mentioned she was new but got great service. Margaritas top notch I love that you can get some flavors in the deal for a little extra and it’s real strawberries! Yum! Steven, one of the managers I noticed walking around the restaurant checking on tables and it totally added to our experience. From host, to food runner, to server and manager everyone was sweet. Defiantly recommend

Outstanding service! Delein is an amazing person and server. She was kept my two boys laughing the entire time. Lorena is excellent! She entertained the boys while I got a chance to enjoy my wonderful Margarita! A must try restaurant! Aske for Delein and Lorena they won't disappoint.

Delein was amazing with my kids. She gave churus to my birthday girl which she absolutely loved and had a sweet conversation with my kids. She's simply amazing! Wish we could get this kind of service everywhere we go! She helped me decide on the food item as well due to diet restrictions and we loved the food!

We were initially concerned as there was a long wait to get into the restaurant, but once we seated Desirae immediately came to our table and the exceptional service started. Even thought she was working with a heavy load of tables she was smiling and friendly. She provided excellent service and we never felt that we waited for her attention. She is an excellent example of the best of customer service. Promote her and let her train the rest of your staff!

The food was wonderful but the server Desirae was simply AMAZING 🤩 So attentive, speedy service and her smile lit up the room. If I ever eat here again I’ll demand to be in her section. You have a gem 💎 in Desirae and she is worthy of tons of praise.

We were seating earlier than our reservation which was awesome! We started with churros and guacamole. The guacamole was small serving for an appetizer. You got four large churros. The food came out quickly and the servers were working hard to make sure we had everything but still forgot a few sides and I did not get a refill on my sprite. We had a large table so that was somewhat understandable. There is an automatic gratuity on large parties (which was expected) and surprisingly every entree was reasonably priced!

While staying at the kalahari resort we decided to have Mexican food for diner on Christmas day here. This place has a few vegetarian options. We tried the Mexican cesar salad and it was very good. My wife had the tortilla soup and my son had the rice and bean burrito with tater tots and some guacamole. Overall very good and would definitely recommend and go back in the future.

Made a reservation through the Open Table app which made check-in for dinner very easy and quick. From start to finish my family enjoyed our meal and service. There are some items we won't order next time just because we do not enjoy spicy food. However, if you do these items would be for you. We ordered queso for our table, which our waiter said wasn't spicy but it was. Overall, it was delicious but we didn't finish because of the spice. We also ordered the Mexican Street Corn, our tables favorite. One of my children ordered the kids cheese enchiladas with a red sauce, she didn't enjoy it because it was dry. I ordered a crispy beef taco with rice and would order this again.

This visit was better the second time. So much flavorful food!! Was really impressed with their entrées!No green sauce this time. (Original review) This green sauce for chips was WOW. The server was attentive to our meal. The ONLY negative was a hostess that forgot where we were sitting and margaritas in a martini glass, imo should always be in a schooner glass.

Food was good but very very slow. Our server was very friendly and welcoming, checked on us often but the food took a long long time to come at a time that the restaurant didn't seem busy (5 other tables when we arrived). They do have a happy hour every day which is nice and my kids really liked their taquitos and bean burritos. My husband and I did the shrimp and steak fajitas for 2, the shrimp were well seasoned and well cooked though some of the steak was tough. If we're at Kalahari again we would probably go again during happy hour but know it's going to be a long meal and don't arrive starving.

The salsa could be better. We had a large party with one waitress. She was great, but just couldn't keep up and our dinner ended up being like 2 hours and we missed our bowling reservation. The restaurant itself is very nice on the inside. I had the mahi. The fish had a good flavor, but wayyyy too much of the topping containing the shredded cabbage and pineapple salsa.

I don't rate anything 5 stars unless it's truly magnificent. Their food was good. The service was magnificent due to the exceptional, prompt and generous attention Steven Loiacono, Kalahari Round Rock's assistant food and beverage director, gave our table. We had a couple gripes on our table of 6: our friend received the wrong entre' and waited 15 minutes for the replacement, and my wife's entre had just 2 shrimps in each taco. The moment Mr. Loiacono heard our complaint, he immediately got with the kitchen and brought a generous platter of beautifully marinated grilled shrimp giving my wife more shrimp than she could eat, and he comped our friend's dinner and gave everyone on our table some very generous coupons to be used during our stay or a future visit. Not once did he make an excuse or try to justify what happened. Given his character I expect any areas of breakdown with the many food and beverage venue choices Kalahari has will be corrected. However, should you have an issue, ask for him and I believe you will be most impressed.

Great mexican style place to eat while visiting Kalahari Resort food was good and Margaritas were even better. Our Server was Delein and she did an amazing job and explained everything very well to us and made sure our table was good at all times and I thank her for that.

The food was great. I enjoyed it and honestly, the service wasn’t bad it’s just I felt as though he struggled to either understand us or just listen properly he forgot our drinks and then when he finally brought them, they weren’t right , and then we expressed that someone in our group had a corn allergy and when they brought out the plate, it had corn in the rice and he neglected to inform us of that, luckily she only has a reaction if she eats the corn so she was able just to eat around the rice but I just wish that it had been more accommodating

We made reservations for 8pm and they forgot to call us we had to go and ask. Place is nice but it looks like chillis and food looks like microwave food. This place is not authentic mexican food.

Went for lunch and sat at the bar. Not much other then Lagers and one Amber on draft. Pleny of mixed drink options. Service was great and bartender immediately asked what I'd like to drink. The free chips and salsa where quite good. However, I ordered the steak tacos and they weren't to good. It came with only two tacos, and it was pretty bland in flavor. Prices weren't to bad. Spend roughly $20 on my meal and one beer.

My goodness—the service was incredible, but I’ve never had tex Mex as salty as this. Practically inedible, and none of us finished our meals.

The waiter was exceptional with our large crowd. The food was not as good as I had hoped. The Guacamole was good but the Fajitas lacked flavor. They were tough & tasted as if they were boiled vs grilled.

Cinco Niños gets points for friendly service and genuinely good chips and green salsa (honestly the highlight). Unfortunately, the main event didn’t deliver. I ordered the quesabirria beef tacos, and they were surprisingly bland with chewy beef—definitely not what you hope for at $19, even with the Kalahari price tax. Convenient and pleasant, but the entrees didn’t match the hype or the setting.

Okay so before I begin, the food is wonderful, the employees are really nice. But here is the thing, almost all of our orders had something wrong with it. They forgot the cheese on my burger, my mother's dish was something completely different than what she ordered and my dad's dish had something wrong with it I can't remember. They also gave us the wrong check. But that being said, it wasn't a terrible experience, and I would gladly return.

The quesabirria beef tacos and house made lemonade were really good. The rice, beans, and chips seemed like the were bought from the grocery store. Our waitress wasn't very attentive and we didn't need much. Things we asked for never came and we had to ask again. It took forever to receive our check after finishing our meal.

Salsa tastes like marinara. You're definitely paying resort fees in the price of the subpar food. The tortilla soup was NOT tortilla soup. It actually tasted like some canned ravioli with unflavored chicken in it. It's terrible. Couldn't eat it. It took them 40 mins to get it to me... So thankfully it was refunded. Margaritas were pretty good though.

This was a very nice looking restaurant. The place was big and very clean. The sauces were very very good. From there it was very downhill. The server took quite a bit of time to bring refills and had to be flagged down on a few occasions to refill drinks. I had ordered carne asada burrito, but was brought carnitas. i didnt complain as that was going yo be my 2nd choice, but then as i got into the meat it was dry and very bland, see photo to see the dryness. it was like it had been sitting for quite sometime under a heat lamp. the rice tasted like it came from a bag and was not authentic. the beans were surprisingly good. my wife order some shrimp stacked enchiladas. the shrimp was super chewy and bland, again the sauce on the enchiladas was good. this place was just a rollercoaster between being bland and being flavorful. for the price and being at Kalahari I just expected so much better. but for a Saturday night it seemed empty and they want you to have a reservation, maybe a trick to make it seem better? again had so much hopes for the place as the location looked amazing.

Food was ok. Nothing special. The lady that took our order at the outside bar was not friendly at all. We ended up taking the food to our room to eat.

If you're from Texas don't bother. Food was edible but def not worth it, like a TV dinner version of Mexican. Margarita just tasted like lime juice concentrate. Server was nice but slow.

We were sat down waited 15 minutes saw servers going to everyone else no one came to give us chips and salsa or to take our drink orders. I had to get up and go to the bartender and ask who our server was and request some assistance. The manager came and apologized and offered a free appetizer , the server we were now given was Natali she was very very kind and gave us great service. The food unfortunately was very bland and greasy we ordered the tin can nachos which hardly had any beans or cheese, it was missing some ingredients and was pretty flavorless we also ordered the beef tacos they were very greasy. Food wise very dissapointing , we will not return .

Save your money and your time. No reason for us to wait or reserve a table when the restaurant is practically empty. Appetizer were cold. There street corn was good... other than being cold. Ordered the Burrito of Birachi.. with barely any beef... taco bell tacos had more meat than there burritos....better going to any frozen food section at walmart. Should of ate at the Mac and Cheese at Kalahari on lobby....definitely 4Stars🤣

The evening starts with mediocre flavorless salsa. I ordered the braised short ribs. I am 50 years old, and this hands down was the most horrendous meal I have ever had. The broiled meat was gamey(not fresh), fatty, and covered with a sweet bitter, flavorless goop. My date tried a bite, and I could see anger in her face as she tried to swallow the food. I could not eat anything past the first bite ... totally inedible. Our server came back to check on us, and looked at us and acknowledged what "an unusual dish" it is. I was extremely insulted by the server acknowledging how horrible it was and not forewarning us, nor rectifying the situation. The portions were also laughably small. The bill was 80 dollars for the braised ribs, queso, and two tacos. Steer clear of this restaurant! There are amazing Mexican restaurants in Austin for 1/3 the price and a much better atmosphere with incredible cuisine.

Food is very bland no flavor, waited a good amount of time for our food just for it to be incorrect. No one in at our table finished their plate.

Terrible service from our waitress. Probably worst I’ve ever had. Extremely rude, waited on pretty much just half the table while the others sat there with no drinks and food and then overcharged everyone’s checks in different ways. I could go on and on about how bad she was but I’ll just say that I was ready to not tip her(which I never ever do) but then there was tip already included, maybe that’s why she didn’t care about giving us good service? Manager was helpful but couldn’t make up for such a bad waitress.
