After seeing their new promotion for unlimited chicken tenders and unlimited rib-lets and fries for $9.99, I made it over to the Applebee's in Hudson, figuring at least the kids could get a meal they'd eat for dinner... I was pleasantly surprised to see that much of the menu had been updated, but they had still done a good job to hang onto a few of the staple items I had been used to ordering. After downing an order of the Chicken Wonton Tacos and moving onto an order of the Brew Pub Pretzels, I decided on an order of Baby Back Ribs, which turned out to be larger than I remembered. After not being for a while, I'm glad I gave them another attempt with the kids. The service was great and we'll certainly be going back.

This has been a standout location I have been going to since moving to Massachusetts more than 8 years ago. I have always enjoyed the food and the service has been prompt.

Update: Visited this location again today (8/21/22), and again the food was very good. But our server (Neha) was excellent!! Very friendly and attentive to our needs, easy to talk to and got our requests filled quickly and correctly. She was a joy to deal with and they're better for having her there!! Nice easily accessible location. Great food and service

I put off Applebee’s for years. But coming from upstate NY, I took the last minute decision to stop about 20 minutes from home to get some food. I mean, food? It IS Applebee’s. Solid value, not fine dining. We know that already. But the atmosphere and the staff are just wonderful and I’d be glad to come back again for a quick eat and a beer or two at the bar.

The food is crazy good and it doesn’t take to long to get your food and it is l loud but not to loud where you can’t have a conversation.

This particular location has always exceeded service expectations but the new food options make this the best option in the area. It was chosen by my 7 year old. Tonight was real good. Great food and our waitress (Elizabeth?? Sorry I forget her name) was wonderful. I got the new penne and sirloin, pretty good! Love the $2 drafts! (Update 4-30-2024) My daughter still loves going here! We are now regulars and my daughter loves to sit in at the high top tables in the bar area. The bartender knows our drinks and pretty much what we are going to eat. My daughter loves the fact that she "builds" her meal by picking the main dish and sides of her choice. Wish they still had $2 drafts!

Hands down love this applebees. I’ve been to other ones because I just love the menu, but this location tops them all off. The staff here are incredibly friendly and we are always very satisfied with the service we get. The food is always great and the staff is really on top of their game. My husband and I come here on the regular because it’s just that great. Even when ordering to go, it’s just as good as dining in.

Went in at 10PM and absolutely demolished a Triple Chocolate Meltdown T-Rex style. Would recommend. Actually came back the next day to get another Triple Chocolate Meltdown because it was just that good. Unfortunately couldn't eat it T-Rex style this time because the dish only came with one spoon. Would still recommend. Not only did I come back a second time, but I also brought my friends along with me for the third time. So don't just take it from me: take it from the FIVE whole Triple Chocolate Meltdowns that were all collectively demolished in a timely manner. Simply put, the Triple Chocolate Meltdown is one of the greatest deserts of all time. You have a chocolate cake with just the right amount of density, moistness, and flavor. This is topped with not only a hot fudge drizzle, but also a white chocolate fudge drizzle for added variety. Stuffed inside the cake is a delicious and gooey hot fudge with just the right amount of creaminess. Not only does this dish come with this immaculate cake, but also a nice refreshing scoop of vanilla ice cream, topped with hot fudge drizzle as well. The curvature of the plate creates an exquisite melting pot for all of these excellent ingredients, for an added bonus once the main course is finished. And all of that for $8.29???? Now that's what we call a steal! P.S. Came back for probably at least my 10th TCM today after wrapping up on this review many moons ago, and I gotta say: they skimped out on the ice cream this time. Don't get me wrong - I'm no complainer and I still absolutely demolished the dessert like a champ, but something had to be said about it. After a thorough and tough thought session, I've determined that the integrity of the greatest dish in the history of mankind should not be tarnished by a simple and non-fatal error in its creation. Long live the Tripple Chocolate Meltdown, the culmination of many years of human evolution, and deserving delicacy of this 5 star review.

Jon is super friendly. You need more employees like him. He makes you feel welcome and want to come back. It's weird that if you order, you can't pick up your food inside. You have to do curbside. It also took an additional 20 minutes because the wait staff "wanted to wait to bring all the orders to other cars that hadn't arrived yet."

Always my go to place for simple food dependable food. Like many restaurants they’re struggling with staffing and keeping up, but my pickup order tonight was fine and correct, if slightly delayed.

They make a stiff drink for a stiff $$. We went 4 lunch and the service was great 😊. The food was ok I wished they had a better selection of sandwiches. I got the cheeseburger and fries and a soda the other meal was a chix czar salad. Unfortunately she didn't care for it. Thank God she got a STIFF DRINK.. with her salad..

Applebee's Hudson is always consistently good. It's a great place to drop in quickly for a bite at the bar alone or dine in with the whole family. The prices are reasonable and the food is always good with plenty of selection. We utilize take out once in a while and then order is always hot ready and accurate. An easy go to for us.

What can I say about Applebee’s that you don’t already know? Well if you’re a tourist like me, you find that American food is pretty much the same no matter where you go. It’s not bad for what it is. But everything seems to be just grilled or fried and then toss in sauce.

We dined in and only ordered soups and appetixers. It took 45 minutes entirely for the food to come and the waiter was very remorseful. Im assuming they're short a cook. Pretty alright food for the price and the service was ok

This Applebee’s was surprisingly good compared to some other ones. Everything came out at a good temperature and quick. Our waitress was very friendly. Only complaint is that the steak was ordered medium rare and we got it medium well. I’d go back, just wouldn’t get a steak.

Average. This spot used to be a sure fire place for cheaper than most, but still good quality, family outings. Now Im just underwhelmed with what I get for the price. Food is often way too hot, or just barely warm enough. It honestly wouldn’t be so bad if the prices hadn’t climbed as high as they have though. Staff is also sort of clumsy and poor with checking in with a frequency that doesn’t interrupt the meal.

Food was good however a little salty for all of us, but hey, we are here for a birthday so let’s enjoy. Our waitress was great and never failed to forget anything, Except, the birthday dessert. She claimed she was never told by the other server, but honestly, I am not sure as I saw the waitress talking with her when we arrived. So the birthday surprise never happened. Odd that the manager overheard the conversation but never intervened to see exactly what miscommunication there was?? Evidently didn’t really care.

We went here Saturday night on September 8th. We arrived around 630 pm and didn't leave until almost 730. I got the "two for" with house salad and French onion soup. He got the cilantro ranch salad with steak. We literally waited almost 20 minutes just for a soda and water. And our starter took forever even tho we ordered it with our drinks. When we first sat at our table the hostess and waitress were talking discontentedly next to our table about their hellish day. I felt bad but it was unprofessional. We were going to go here over Burger King because we were kind of in a rush. The food was good, nothing wrong with that, but wish the service was faster.

My son and I ordered the ribeye steaks. I know they're not a steak place, but these were some of the worst cuts of meat I've had. Everything else was as expected for Applebee's. Our waitress was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Probably better to stick with their burgers.

What i like about this Applebee's is that it truly is a neighborhood restaurant and the hours make it possible to get a late bite. We used to go more frequently because my son LOVES it and the waitstaff are usually terrific. But since I think a management change last summer or so, I've experienced some service issues. The food is what it is - pub fare. I like the variety and haven't been too disappointed there (that is, i haven't expected Michelin dining, so...). The burgers and wings, entrees are usually consistent. I would, however, recommend against the riblets. Those are an AWFUL experience loaded with bones and shallow meat, so you eat and need to spit them out. So the service.... we usually like to sit at the bar area, so maybe that's part of the issue. But the last two times we've gone, we actually had to leave because we couldn't even get acknowledged. The last time it happened, 3 servers were chatting at the busing station, and another table that arrived well after was served first. To make it worse, they even sat next to us and we STILL didn't even get acknowled. With that, I could only imagine how long the service would take so we decided to go elsewhere. What I've found is this location mightily struggles in high volume times so if it's busy or there's a wait, we usually won't bother. But both times we recently left, it wasn't super busy, so something's slipped.

The waiter and the rest of the staff were nice. Our waiter came by a few times to check on us. When we went during lunch the place was virtually empty. Our food took a little longer than I thought it should have but not too bad. The food sucked. I got a lunch combo. The Caesar salad had wilted lettuce and was so drenched in dressing it was virtually inedible. My mac and cheese was colder than room temperature. I will never eat here again.

I’ve been to multiple AppleBee’s, however particularly on this evening I was met with a very busy restaurant. I felt bad because, it isn’t the staff’s fault but they seemed to have too many tables and costumers to worry about to be able to offer us a good experience. I had to remind my waiter multiple times to ask for a refill, we were given our meals one at a time rather than all together and after we got the first plates we needed to remind him to get silverware. When I eventually got my food I was disappointed because I couldn’t even finish it. I ordered the riblets and even other friends of mine tried the food out and agreed they just weren’t good. In summary: I’m sure this is a good restaurant as long as they’re not swamped, and if you don’t get the riblets. We didn’t order dessert cause it was going to be too long of a wait.

Went here for my birthday. Server forgot to enter my entree. He never got me a refill after offering me one. my boyfriends food and the appetizer were brought over by different employees. After 40 minutes I asked for a manager who got my entre and refill. By the time I finally got my entre and refill the server came to apologize and offered me free ice cream for my birthday. 28 minutes later I had no ice cream, since we paid for everything we just left at that point. Food was pretty good, service left alot to be desired. Literally took an hour to get my food.

The new again steak salad bowl. I ordered it last night as takeout, and I have ordered their bowls before so I have been happy with the dish. The salad came in a very small container. Overloaded with rice, the steak was about the size a rice kernel. Seriously. Only about a tablespoon of corn and other relish, lots of lettuce, very dry salad. No sauce to it at all. For $10.00 this was a total ripoff, and whoever is in the kitchen, for all of Hudson sake, please leave or do a better job.

Do not go to this Applebee's ever. All of our glasses were dirty, after we waited 20 minutes for our drinks. All you can eat is when you finish your plate the next one should be coming right out not at this Applebee's you order the All you can eat at this place 15-20 minutes for the next plate. The servers getting there attention forget it, you want a refill on your drink expect to wait 20 minutes. Worst dinning experience I've ever had at a restaurant.

Was seated on a Saturday night 10/21/23, and no one came to take our order. We asked the host and other servers. So we walked out. They were not that busy. If you don’t take care of the customers someone else will!

Time-consuming service. I stayed at the table waiting for an attendant, everyone passed by me and didn’t stop answering me. And when I asked, they took a long time to come back. I came to visit the restaurant and left very frustrated.

Disappointing really....That's why the rating is what it is...The time that it took to be seated was around 45 minutes for a group of 6, and our waiter was stoic and possibly very tired from the previous day because our order took an hour to put in, and after that an eternity to arrive. Our entrees came back cold and had extra ingredients that we simply didn't ask for. Improvisation is great when it comes to comedy but not in the restaurant field. Our waiter actually gave us the impression that he had better things to do than to wait on our group. I had mentioned to him several times that all our orders were screwed up and all he did was shrug his shoulders and reply that his manager was going to stop by our table & talk to us. At the last possible moment when we asked for the ✔ then the manager materialized (like in Star Trek kind of teleported to our table)& apologized for the long wait and ended up adjusting our bill. The moral of the story "AVOID" large groups & peak lunch times at 11:30am throughout the week. Potential customers beware of slow & inefficient service, cold & undercooked food, and especially tortoise wait staff. Go somewhere else!!!

Forgot apps, took 45+minutes to get food, we ordered apps that never came. Asked the manager for a1, never saw him again. The steak was pretty good, but the service was terrible. My buddy ordered a well done burger, it was rare. We listened to a girl detail 100% of her day loud enough to where our group could hear her. She talked enough for our entire group. She arrived well after our group of four people and she received her food in a quarter of the time. The silverware was disgusting. We had to get all new sets for the table.

Waitress seemed like she wasn’t happy to work there. I could say that from the way she looked at people and treated. When I ask for my online order to pick up which I waited for 30 minutes. The bartender girl said me to wait at door by saying they would bring it there and when I told that I was waiting there for 30 minutes but nobody even asked what I was waiting for. She said she doesn’t care. I walked away without getting my order. That’s really disappointing being treated by Applebees like that. This happened January 14 around 12:00-12:30 a.m

While all of our meals were correct, none came out prepared as requested. The waitress was unapologetic, slow to refill drinks, and never once asked if we wanted boxes for unfinished meals. What could have been decent service seemed forced and dake. Overall, not impressed.

THE SERVICE HERE IS TERRIBLE DO NOT COME! The bartender was our server and she ignored our table the entire time we were here. I’ve never been ignored by a server like this in my life. Friday 18th the manager and wait staff are extremely rude(probably because they made a miserable life for themselves) and try to disappear without giving change on the bill after making us wait 2hr for food. My experience was horrible. My family and I went to the restaurant, the hostess took us to the table, and we waited 15 minutes for someone to come and take our order. The restaurant was empty, and the waitresses ignored our table. We got up and left; the hostess saw us leaving and didn't even ask why we were leaving. We felt disrespected. Horrible. I will never return.

Not possible to order using their so-called Allergen menu - it's not reliable at all, and the soy allergen offering seemed to list things that did have soy in them. The servers stick to it, parroting the allergen menu as if it were gospel, telling me I could have a Caesar salad, when the dressing has soy in it and the croutons could have too. Tried to opt for a simple baked potato, but they no longer offer it

First off the waitress we had was amazing, kudos to her. On the other hand, I ordered steak medium rare and it was cooked just about well done. The waitress took care of it immediately for me and brought me a whole new plate of food. Again, the steak was way overcooked to medium well/well done. Also, whoever ran the food for her to our table forgot my sons kids meal. It came to the table cold so he ended up not even eating it, wasted money. The bathroom was very dirty and my wife couldnt even change him in there, so we changed him in the car after we left. Not sure if we just came on a bad night, but we will never be going back. 1/5

worst apple bees i’ve been to. we came in and nobody greeted us and we were ignored on the spot. we had to ask to be seated. we were seated and no drink orders taken or acknowledgement of anything. we waited almost an hour. we ultimately got up and just went to burger king across the road. This place charged me for an order I never received, and when I emailed them for a refund, they sent me a satisfaction survey and decided that was enough. I emailed a second time threatening to dispute the charge and finally got my money back along with a promise for a $25 gift card, which of course I never received. I’ve been going here for years but you can bet I’m never coming back.

This was the worst restaurant experience. Our waitress was rude and impatient. Our food was okay. We got the all you can eat boneless wings and fries. When we got our second serving there were no fries and when I asked, "don't fries come with this", her response was if you ask nicely. I was not rude to her, I was just wondering why there were none, when we were there in the recent past our 2nd serving always came with them, without asking for them. My water was never refilled. I will not return to Applebee's. I didn't like to go there because of the inconsistent food quality but service was always good until this time.

Put it lightly, my burger was not made correctly and frys were hard. My wife's food was cold. Everyone working there looked like they were mad. Felt uncomfortable and the light above our head kept flickering. No napkins just not an enjoyable experience.

Had a 30-second interaction with server Caitlin while picking up my takeout, and she was extremely rude and unhelpful even putting her hand in my face. As the first point of contact, her lack of basic communication skills reflects poorly on the establishment. I recommend hiring staff that is competent and better represent your management.

What a subpar location. I been to many others especially in the immediate Worcester area. This place is the worst. A 7:35pm pickup and at 7:45pm I had to say enough is enough where is my food. My bf is starving in the car, and these people have no excuse. Spoke with the manager and it was like fell on deaf ears. Avoid this location if you want good food and service.

Waited 15 minutes at a bar table - 2 servers were in the corner talking. One came over and told us he could take our drink order but our server would be another 10 minutes. The server he pointed to was talking to another server. The bar was not busy. At that pint we left. Horrible attitude of the servers as a group.

Walked in for lunch, waited a few minutes for service. After we got a table, we sat there for over 22 minutes without any service. The parking lot was empty and tables were also empty. However, we never got any service. When the waitress walked by, I asked her if we would get service anytime soon or if not, to let us know and we would leave. She said it would be best if we leave because they only had one server. Although I appreciate her honesty, she could have said something before when she checked us in. I do like Applebees but this isn’t the first time we had issues at the Hudson ,MA location. It’s sad, because my family likes Applebees and the location is convenient for us. I hope they get better.

Tried to let my kid have some freedom and come here with her friends on a Friday night but the staff practically ignored them as if they weren't paying customers. After 3 hours, their drinks never came and a couple of them never received their food. The waiter even had the nerve to get rude with me after he asked if they wanted their change back, as if he thought they were going to get a tip. 0 stars across the board.

Always wondered why the staff at this location is so rude and unprofessional. Finally asked for the manager to give feedback and he could care less. Apparently staff here are not trained to take orders. Spoke to 3 different staff members and not a single one knows how to place an order. His words, not mine. No apology, no commitment to do better. He should be fired.

Arrived with the most patient ten month old baby in the world at 4:40pm to an uncrowded restaurant… at 5:40 pm I was so fed up with waiting that I asked for to go boxes so I could just leave when my food finally came out because I didn’t want to be there anymore 😞. Crazy to think that the hardest part to deal with wasn’t a baby but was waiting 30 mins for drinks to come out that drove us to leave.

It was just myself and my grandfather we were totally ignored by our waitress for our small party. All her attention was given to bigger parties.

Absolutely the worst Applebee's experience ever! Took 30 minutes to get our drinks(2 waters and an apple juice. Food was mediocre at best, manager trying to get sympathy because there was only one cook. Definitely my last time at Applebee's

Sat there for 15 minutes without anyone coming to the table. There was one small birthday consisting of 6 people. There were 5 servers. Not one bothered to check on us. I flagged down the host who looked at me like a deer in the headlights when asked for a server. This was 4:30 pm Friday March 28,2025. We got up and left without every being waited on. Not good business.
