This place is absolutely amazing! I go the lobster roll (warm butter) and the braised short rib. I also came back later for dessert and order the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake! Everything was DELICIOUS 🤤
We were 14 of us made reservation. Though there was some confusion on our reservation, Amy the manager sorted out and quickly arranged the table for us. Little noisy, but game day, so expected. "Go Pats" The food was delicious. Everyone liked their choice. Tuscan bowl with grilled chicken and Salmon quinoa bowl was also tasty. Pumpkin cheesecake was also tasty for season. Christy who hosted us on the table was wonderful. She was spinning around and getting food and water with always the smile on the face.
Weekend trip to Boston led me to Copper House Tavern. Part of the restaurant was being used as a venue for a birthday party and there were still plenty of space available for dining. Seated quickly at the bar, menus given. Started off with the burrata appetizer, fresh strawberries, arugula, foccacia bread, lightly toasted. Entree was steak frites. Perfectly cooked to medium well, fries crispy and delicious. Enjoyed the Love Potion cocktail at the server's suggestion and it was yummy, loved the strawberries cut into heart shapes. Alas, I had no room for dessert but I will definitely come back whenever I am in Boston.
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The steamed mussels were quite flavorful. We had to wait awhile for our drinks as the bar was backed up.
After a very historical day in Concord, I decided to try this Restraunt in my hotel (The Best Western Plus). I came through the hotel entrance off the lobby. Large menu boards hang outside the dividing door. I entered and read signage saying you need to go to the host station. I had to navigate myself to the host station in the front by passing seating and a crowded bar. The hostess said the bar was open and sat myself. So, I found myself a high back chair to sit. I noticed most patrons were not guests at the hotel! The bar back gave me a drink menu, a regular menu, and distinct drink menu was already at my seat. I opted for a build you own non alcohol drink. My base was an ice-tea with black cherry flavoring ($6 and comes with "one refill"). The drink had a toooooonnn of ice. Essentially you are buying 2 drinks as $3.00 seems to be the price at other locations. My drink was bought and I ordered a cup of clam chowder. I waited about 20 minutes before it was brought out. It was not overly warm (the soup must have been sitting because a little film was forming). The cuppa was an A- average. The bacon took away from the subtle sweetness of a clam in a chowder. The broth creamy and typical of a NE style. There was carrot and celery and do not remember the taste of potato. It was served with proper oyster crackers. ($6) Next I ordered a refill on my drink (Peach Ice Tea. Then I selected an entree. It was a deluxe grilled cheese. Beautiful grilled thick cut bread had sandwiched between brie and American with spinach and fig jam (very very little jam). The sandwich was really good (A). The fries were average unseasoned (A-). The bar tender was very attentive and friendly. Was just talkative enough. This place was an surprise Restraunt in a hotel. My bill came to $32 and I added $10 tip because the whole experience was enjoyable.
Yummy! Super busy but great quick service and also wonderful food! The four of us had all different meals and all were great. Drinks were a good pour and the atmosphere was fun. We were seated immediately and enjoyed the experience. :)
Salmon spinach salad was great and the Korean Brussels sprouts! The waitress could use a bit of help with being more attentive in filling my water glass, bringing a to go container, and picking up the my card to closeout my tab. Had to ask several time. I had the Salmon salad twice while staying at the hotel connected to the restaurant. Very good!
Another google find. I had delicious chili for an appetizer and my wife the Cesars salad which she enjoyed. My wife had the Vegetarian burger with fries which she enjoyed. I had the turkey tips that had a great flavor and Roasted fingerling potatoes that were great. Service was slow but the server was pleasant. I would suggest if you are in the area try out Copper House Tavern. Back again at the end of July 2021. I has the very tender BBQ steak tips with asparagus and sweet potato fries plus a chili; everything was delicious. My wife had onion rings and Caesar salad which she really enjoyed. The server was very pleasant.
Wow!!! What a fantastic restaurant!!! What brought us in was the variety on the menu. We have dietary restrictions and we usually have a choice of 1-3 options when dining...here, practically everything on the menu had a choice of protein, including both salmon and tofu, which is a rarity and a luxury for us. 2nd, the options were so different and the flavor was incredible!!! Truffle fries!!! Apple, Brie and fig pizza!!! Brie grilled cheese!! A craft soda/tea/lemonade menu which my son LOVED-imagine kids being able to create the drink of their dreams, which included garnishes that rival adult cocktails! Speaking of cocktails... the seasonal choices were daring and delicious!!! I ordered a drink that came with a coffee, pumpkin shaped ice cube! It was gorgeous and so beautifully flavored!! Kudos to the chef and manager who encourage originality!! Leave the predictable chain restaurants behind and enjoy this very special meal in great tavern atmosphere. BTW, compliments to the server and bartender who didn't laugh when my husband asked for the beer that patriot and founding father Samuel Adams (himself a brewer) would have enjoyed drinking in colonial taverns. Their beer choice was solid!!
I had a fantastic experience at CHT during a corporate gathering. The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was great, and there were plenty of menu options to choose from. I would definitely love to visit again!
Look out for Stacy. She knows her spirits. Polite and cheerful vibe. Loved the food and vibe.
We did a reservation but depending on the time you wouldn't necessarily have to. Our waiter could have been a tad more attentive to us but we still had a great experience. Their clam chowder is delicious and their burgers are amazing. They have a nice selection of beer as well, but sadly were out of a few that we actually wanted. Would come here again.
Pizza was great. Service too, and our waitress Stacey!
It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night so I sat at the bar. Service was super quick and the bar tender who served me was really nice. I can't complain at all about the food; the clam chowder and Bleu burger I got was delicious!!
The lamb wrap I ordered today was so delicious. Food is great, bar tender is great. Definitely will come again.
We hosted our wedding welcome dinner at Copper House Tavern with about 35 guests, and it could not have gone better. Right after I inquired about the event, Amy was helpful and responsive. Amy made the booking process easy and always answered emails quickly. On the night of the event, everything went as expected. The food was excellent, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it. We’re so glad we chose Copper House Tavern and would highly recommend it for anyone planning a group event.
Renee and Dakota made our experience at the hotel amazing. The restaurant was extremely busy yet they both were working so hard to take care of us and many other customers. They both need recognition for what in these days is hard to find people like them! Please recognize these hard working employees that make your business shine!
Our tour group of 32 people came her for dinner and loved everything! Michelle and Freddy did a terrific job! Definitely recommend for delicious food and great service!! Thank you Michelle and Freddy! We'll be back next time we bring a group to Boston!
What the heck? A great sports bar/tavern in a Best Western? We were passing through on a busy Friday night and craving those good vibes, cozy tavern feel. You know, fries and sandwiches, good sides, and a draft beer. We were shocked to see it was the hotel restaurant in a Best Western... It was great! The staff were super helpful. We sat in a cozy booth and had basketball games and the Olympics on a row of nice TVs. There are also quiet more intimate seating areas if you don't want the bar feel. The menu was expansive, but also made sense. The kids menu was a hit for my kid. Excellent beer choices on tap too. I didn't have one, but the bartenders looked to make solid cocktails. We had a question about the menu, the server was super nice but couldn't answer, the chef came out and spoke to us about. Everything was good.
Discovered the Cooper House Tavern while staying at the Courtyard across the street. We chose it one evening as it was convenient due to bad weather and it turned out to be a lucky find. The menu was broad and everyone enjoyed their meals (a mixture of salads, steak, and salmon dishes). The clam chowder was great too and we ended up back there for second evening for more. Good selection of beers on tap and cocktail options.
Yes, the food is excellent with really great options, and the vibe is always positive and energetic. But the number one reason I go to Copper House Tavern is Ingrid. She’s the first person you see, and she immediately sets the tone for the entire dining experience. Ingrid is one of the kindest, most accommodating, friendly, and efficient hosts I’ve ever encountered. She always makes us feel truly welcome and is especially wonderful with my mom. She represents the restaurant beautifully, and they are incredibly lucky to have her. Thank you, Ingrid, for always making our experience at Copper House Tavern so special.
We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience tonight! The food was incredible, and the atmosphere was perfect. We especially have to give a huge shout-out to our server, Liam, who was attentive, friendly, and made our evening so enjoyable. Everything we ordered was fantastic, but the loaded mashed potatoes were a definite highlight—they were rich, flavorful, and truly the best we've ever had. We'll definitely be back soon to try more of the menu. If you're looking for great food and even better service, be sure to ask for Liam!
Snowy Saturday afternoon, moderately busy, quick service. Beer and cider hit the spot. Mussels were delicious, lobster roll too buttery, Diablo burger tasty, not too spicy.
In town for a short weekend and wanted to grab a quick light bite before heading out for our afternoon activities. Because we knew we were going to a big 'Lun'ner' mid afternoon we shared a lobster roll and an order of Pork & Chive Dumplings. We sat at the bar just a bit after the restaurant had opened. The food was yummy, and the service was good too.
Staying at the Best Western Plus that’s attached to the restaurant and decided to give it a try. Overall the experience was good as was the food and service. I ordered the blue cheese burger and the lobster mac and cheese and my only complaint is my burger was overcooked. I asked for medium and it was well done but even though it was over cooked it was still pretty tasty. Id eat here again! UPDATE: I ate here again and had to drop the rating. I ordered a burger cooked medium and again the gave me a well done burger!!! UPDATE: I gave this place another shot and everything was great!!!!! Burger cooked perfectly and the bartenders were great as always!
First time here, food was decent and filling but definitely on the pricey side. Overall a nice experience.
The food was actually very good. I eat a lot of French onion soup and this one was really good! Enjoyed the short rib and steak sandwich as well. Amazing beer selection. Only issue was with service. It was a little busy but they had several bartenders and we kept having to flag people down for simple things like silverware or another beer. I would come back.
Slow service when it's slow, faster service when it's busy. N.E clam soup is on the warm to cold side but tastes soo good. Lots of beer taps But the food is really good. Great pot roast so tender good gravy. The veggies are undercooked. The lobster roll is good hot cooked in butter amd in a lighty toasted bun. The seafood stew is incredible!
It’s a decent restaurant with an outdoor patio and nice interior We had a burger bacon cheeseburger bourbon bbq sauce 4 stars Ff was terrible cold like they forgot us or was cooked long time before for someone else 2 stars Cheese pizza 4. Thin not excessive cheese solid Pasta bolognese. Ok 3 stars. A bit salty sauce not too memorable and pasta was long spiral macaroni. Tiramisu 3.5stars. Alcoholic. Ice gelato is good 3.5
Good food, good service by the manager! Waiter forgot appetizer, manager heard and brought it, complimentarily! The kids Mac and cheese seems homemade, dressings are homemade and delicious! Steak and blue salad was on point and the fish and chips was pretty good, the coleslaw side was lackluster. Overall, I’d give a 3.5 stars with price point
Staff were super friendly, plenty of parking outside, and food selection was good too. You have to try thier mushroom burger but substitute it with regular meat burger pattie. It is out of this world with truffle oil on it. The calamari was excellent too.
Started out with three savory pork buns. Pork was well seasoned. Buns were a little over over-streamed, overall, tasty. Very nice atmosphere in both the dining room and bar. Menu is interesting in that it offers different flavors. I ordered the Asian stir fry with shrimp. It was okay. It came with a-lot of onions, white, green onion, and scallions. Im used to having broccoli, carrots, bok choy, cabbage, and a balance of onions in a stir fry. Rice was good but too smothered in sweet n sour sauce. Shrimp was good sized! For dessert! Superb!! Nice chocolate mousse and vanilla ice cream with sliced strawberries, whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
I was really impressed. When the front desk at my hotel first recommended I go across the street for dinner, I was questioning what other options were in the area. I had the Steak Frites with truffle fries and then got the Limoncello Cake for dessert. Everything was really good. I was surprised how fast the food came out after I ordered. I was sat at a table kind of off in the back which I wasn't sure the reason considering it seemed the restaurant was kind of empty. The waiter didn't come by too often to check on things. I wasn't looking for or waiting for anything so it wasn't a huge issue, but I'm use to waiters checking on you a little more often.
Not bad place to hangout with your co-workers or friends when you are around Waltham. This place will be busy in weekdays but be prepared a head. Food was good and also nice seating. Summer will be more interesting as they have out seating as well.
We went for a family brunch in a Sunday. Great atmosphere and a nice menu variety. We were a group of 18 and they handled it well. A bit of confusion on the distribution but we were all family A great place for drinks, appetizers and T V
What a great restaurant attached to a best western, who would have thought?!?! Tons of beers on tap, great mixed drinks and a phenomenal food menu. The only reason you are not getting 5 stars is because my steak frites was cooked medium instead of my requested rare and my Cesar salad was swimming in dressing that it became nauseating to eat. Little things like that hold you back from 5 stars.
The menu offers a solid selection typical for this type of establishment. The mushroom pizza with cauliflower crust is a standout—highly recommended. The Bang Bang Broccoli is also excellent, though it's not always available. Popular choices include the nachos, and the burrata is a must-try. For dessert, the flourless chocolate cake is my personal favorite. They also offer donut balls and cookie skillets, with flavors and availability varying by location. I like to order all three for a sampling experience.
We went mid-day on a Saturday lots of available seating, low key. We noticed several well dressed couples who looked like they had great come from church, but we fit right in wearing our casual clothes. The cheese burger is big and tasty. my wife got the salmon, said it was cooked perfect. Nachos... very generous in size but the chips where a little over cooked. I would skip the onion rings, they weren't cold but the breading was hard as a rock. They were the only disappointment. there was some random building materials on the stairs that were had to step around when we left, no sign at the top of the stairs, so almost caught me off guard
Solid place to have a beer if you’re staying in the area. However the food is subpar - lobster roll was soaked in butter and lobster overcooked. Definitely not a good choice. But I’ve heard from colleagues that burgers were nice.
This place wasn't anything to write home about. I dined in on a regular Sunday night and the place was mostly empty with just a few patrons. I was greeted within a minute at the bar. Food: The Korean brussels sprouts were delicious and sweet, drenched in bbq sauce and garnished with some scallions. Not amazing, but it's definitely an easy way to get someone to eat vegetables when they don't want to, maybe. :D The cheese pizza was subpar. It was a floppy bar-style pizza shaped like an oval. The cheese was decent but the pizza sauce was not good. It reminded me of Ragu pasta sauce or some cheap canned tomato sauce, which didn't taste right on this pizza and it ruined it for me. Service: It was maybe just one person too understaffed on a Sunday night, but the bartender was nice about it. Parking: There was plenty of parking since it is connected to the Best Western hotel.
Food was good. Service was not. I was recommended here by my boss as the food was good and I'm not from the area. Sat at the bar as I was alone, and they took my order quickly. Wasn't all that busy but it was still early evening. I had waited for my food for about 20 minutes (didn't really notice the time) and one of the servers came around and asked if I'd ordered. I said I had, and she said the printer jammed and my order never went through. I reordered and my food took another 10 minutes. Food was good. Had the lamb souvlaki burger. Very juicy. Spiced but not spicy. Comes with Greek yogurt, not listed on the menu. Then I decided to order dessert to go. I waited and waited. Someone came around and asked if I'd ordered 3 desserts to go. I said I had not. And then he disappeared. Finally I got my one dessert to go, but my check had the 3 desserts on it. It was fixed with no issue, and my card run quickly. Ultimately it took nearly an hour and a half from the time I walked in to when I left, as a single. I don't live locally, but I probably wouldn't return if I did. I couldn't imagine how a larger party would fare.
The food was really amazing. The server that we had made our experience a 3 star review instead of a 5 star one. To start off on the positive note, the nachos were amazing. They were easily in my top 5 of all time. I would highly recommend anyone to try their Ranchero Nachos. They taste amazing while filling anyone up that is hungry enough to try them. The second dish that I ordered was the coastal seafood enchiladas. The shrimp and scallops worked very will inside of the tortillas. The flavor was really goos too. The rice and beans were decent as well. Now on to our service, our server was no attentive to us at all. He didn't refill any of our regular beverage orders. He never made eye contact with anyone at the table. He also acted distant towards our whole party. He would walk right past our table to take care of them instead of asking if we needed anything. Although his attitude was horrible, the food made up for our experience.
Great food. Great draft selection. Pretty basic bartenders. Some customer service forward some not so much. Friendly bartenders keep us going back to places. The menu and beer selection is what keeps us going back here.
Atmosphere is is warm and inviting- more than most hotel restaurants. Served at the bar by a bartender who seemed disinterested in her job or was having a bad day. Ordered the vegetable stir fry with chicken which consisted of a mound of rice with sliced chicken, onions and a little bok choy. Flavor was okay but the veggie to rice ratio was about 1:6. Quite disappointing.
Salsa and guacamole on nachos tasted old/past due, there was at least a pint of sour cream on the nachos, at least the chips were crispy. The brussel sprouts also didn’t taste fresh. The waiter didn’t refill our waters. Overall below my expectations.
The Copper House Tavern is not very good. The service was actually pleasant and attentive. Went in today at 1 for a business lunch and the food was inedible. We had calamari, wings, and lobster mac and cheese. Everything tasted old and off with the worst being the hard, dry, and nasty lobster. Honestly, I questioned my choice of restaurants. Will never consider returning.
Nothing to write home about. The nachos were stale. This chips could not be chewed and it was embarrassing trying to eat them so I got the southwestern chicken sandwich which was okay. All the food was hot when it came out just not tasty. Their drinks though - Amazing. I don't remember the name of what I had but it tasted like autumn. The service sucked. It took forever for the server to greet the table, never checked back, he clearly didn't want to be there.
Not sure if the girl is new or would rather just not be here. From the first round of flat beer should have been the red flag this Tuesday evening. The second round after returning the first round took about 10 minutes to fizzle out. How the server missed the fact our drinks were the same amount of bubbly as our water and still proceeded to deliver them. Followed by us having two different types of parts with chicken and both of them were dry. And the final copper nail on the head was the fact that two flat beers and two pasta dishes cost 70 dollars. My recommendation just get gas station sushi from the shell on the corner. Probably the same results.
Went to the copper house tavern on 2/1 for lunch with my girlfriend. Bartender was ok but never asked how our food was when we got it. Had to ask for silverware and napkin. We got the chili as our appetizer was good but not hot enough I’ve been a chef for over 25 years and I like my food to burn my mouth. Second course I got the crispy chicken sandwich very disappointed it was chicken tenders on a roll and only 2 tenders. Lettuce on my roll was brown. My girlfriend ordered the blt turkey club. Bread was toasted so much was like a rock. The turkey was only on one side on the sandwich nothing on the other. Was not busy at all when we were there but you could see the only one cook in the back leaning over on his phone he should be paying attention to detail instead of being on his phone. If he ever worked for me I would get rid of him in a heartbeat.
Stopped in for a beer, waited approximately 5 minutes to served, female bartender was on phone chatting… there were 2 other people at the bar. When she approached me, I ordered immediately, a bottle of Sam Adam’s and she said “Sure, just a minute”. Then she went to pour a Guinness for one of the other people at the bar, and chatted with him for a bit. When she finally came to me with my beer I had to pay immediately because I knew that if I didn’t I would be there a very very long time It was Saturday afternoon… review the tape.. you’ll see…. There are others out there that would love her job… she needs to be reminded of that! Other than that…. Place was great !
