My wife & I went for Valentines and our server Katie was amazing! The food was awesome!! I had the shoyu ramen & my spouse has the spicy bulgogi ramen, mine was rich and savory and the noodles had the perfect chew and the bulgogi was perfectly spicy with a great depth of flavor that didnt get lost in spice. Dessert was the creamy ube cheesecake which was unreal, a creamy smooth, almost sweetened coffee-like flavor with the little added pop of sweetness from the lychee. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to get amazing elevated Asian food! Bonus points for the quintessential 90s and 2000s anime on the TVs!

The food here was absolutely amazing!!!! We ordered some sushi to start and it was just incredible, good flavor and taste. The spicy miso pork ramen was to die for. Perfect balance of spice and flavor , nothing too crazy but very good. Will definitely be coming here again, and if possible I’d want Katie as a server again. She’s super sweet and created a nice welcoming atmosphere. I really enjoyed talking with her.

Loved this place! Loved in Worcester for a long time and never came here. We got: * Classic udon * Butter corn ramen * Tamanigi ramen (might've butchered the name) * Beef and truffle ramen (special) * Beef and truffle rice bowl * Basic chicken rice bowl * The sun and mars drinks Mars was delicious. My beef and truffle ramen was lovely. Slow cooked beef was so nice. Everyone loved their dishes. Very flavorful dishes. Also it was my birthday and they surprised me with a pumpkin cheese cake which was delicious. The service was phenomenal too. We had Katy, she was very sweet.

Stopped here before going to a show at Hanover Theater. The atmosphere is delightful. The service was wonderful and the food arrived quickly. The meal and cocktails were all made with a touch of excellence.

Stopped by on a Saturday around noon and had a great meal! The two of us were easily seated, as the restaurant is spacious with a variety of tables for different party sizes. We placed our orders and got our food not long after. I ordered the Abura Ramen, which is exactly what I was hoping for in a broth-less ramen. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the textures were great as well. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again!

Food was absolutely delicious! There were a lot of flavors in each bite (not sure how to explain this). Anyways the portions of each meal were large. The app was delicious! If you’re in the area, definitely stop in for a bite, come hungry!

Probably my favorite restaurant in the world. I could go on and on about the great atmosphere, the delicious food, the excellent service , the hundreds I have gladly spent here, but simply put this restaurant holds a very special place in my heart. I also won a raffle here and I was so excited!

Our favorite ramen spot in the area. The food is delicious and the ambience is perfect. We love sitting at the bar and watching anime as we devour our meal. Both the chicken and beef broth are delicious. The pork belly bao buns are a must try!

Chashu Ramen + Izakaya stands out as my top recommendation for exceptional dining in downtown Worcester. From the moment you arrive, you’ll appreciate the thoughtfully designed concept, stylish décor, and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend beginning your meal with a drink of your choice, accompanied by the grilled eggplant appetizer and lobstah rangoon maki—both are prepared with remarkable attention to flavor and presentation. To conclude, the mango-lime sorbet offers a refreshing and satisfying finish. Of course, their signature yasai ramen dishes are not to be missed, each one crafted with care and depth of flavor. A visit to Chashu is not only worthwhile—it’s likely to become a favorite!

Chashu is truly one of the best restaurants in Worcester, a rare gem with ruby-like powers that draws you in with its charm, elegance, and warmth. My boyfriend and I are frequent visitors, finding ourselves continually captivated by the beautiful ambiance and the exceptional team that makes every visit memorable. Whether we’re here for a summer evening out, a romantic date, or even a make-up-after-fighting dinner, Chashu’s dark, soothing atmosphere always feels like a perfect escape. The setting is intimate and thoughtfully designed, embodying the elegance of Japanese and Eastern culture that we cherish and hope to experience firsthand when we live in Japan one day. The team at Chashu truly elevates the experience. Dawson, the greeter, embodies gentlemanly grace and poise, welcoming us each time with a warmth that sets the perfect tone. Zach, the bartender, is both friendly and approachable, always crafting cocktails with precision and flair—his Tiki drink, in particular, is absolutely irresistible! Beyond his skills behind the bar, Zach also has his own wedding photography business, showcasing his creative talent in yet another way. And then there’s Carly, our server, who is consistently confident, attentive, and wonderfully down-to-earth. She has an amazing ability to understand and remember what we love, making each dining experience feel personalized and meaningful. Chashu is so much more than just a restaurant for us; it’s a place that aligns with our dreams and inspirations, reinforcing our love for Japanese culture and our life goals. With its enchanting atmosphere, thoughtful service, and outstanding food, Chashu is a true Worcester treasure that we couldn’t recommend more highly.

We visited Chashu Ramen + Izakaya on Valentine's Day and made reservations for the four course meal. It was $170 for two people not including drinks and gratuity but it was worth it! By far the best quality food in Worcester. Everything was perfect and made to the highest level. We ordered the Crab and Avocado salad, Surf and Turf Maki, Toro Tataki, braised short rib in ramen soup, Hotate, and Dragon Fruit cheesecake. All of the dishes were unique and a perfect blend of tastes and textures you won't find anywhere else in the area. Honestly the best food I've had in a long time. There was a good sized cocktail menu with excellent, adequately priced beverages. Once again, the drink selection is unique and offers a wide variety that you won't find in other restaurants. Overall an amazing experience. Total cost last night was close to $300 with the four course meal, 3 drinks, tip, and taxes.

Place has a great menu first off.... Plenty of stuff for everyone and the cocktail list looks delightful. The spicy miso ramen was very good and the Korean fried chicken sandwich was killer. Everything was delightful and we can't wait to go back.

Me and my son had a great time here. The food had good flavor and the prices can’t be beat. I would come back.

Stopped here unplanned. Was NOT disappointed. This place has selection, specials, and awesome quality. We had a corn appetizer that was different than others with tang and sweet. They had a special where the took high quality salmon and lit a fire under it filed by rum and lemongrass. It was fun, experiential, and delicious. The Raman is some of the best with great portions, full flavors, and great options. I highly recommend this swanky soup spot. Looking forward to going back.

Chashu is beautifully and tastefully designed. It is dark and moody in all the right ways. While there were not a lot of soft surfaces to absorb sound, the noise level was perfect. We sat at the bar and the service from both bartenders was great. Manager Hannah stopped by to check on us and gave us a little backstory on the restaurant and the owners other restaurants. The food and cocktails were phenomenal. We absolutely loved the Lobstah Rangoon Maki! 10/10 recommend! A great before or after show spot, great for date nights or hanging with friends. We will definitely be back!

Went for lunch and sat at the bar. Atmosphere was pleasant, they play anime and cartoons at the TVs, which o thought adds a nice touch. Tried a couple of things on the sushi menu and were spot on! Really fresh, great flavor and well prepared. Service wasn’t great, but wouldn’t take away a star because of it, they do have a sign stating they are short staffed.

AMAZING. Very flavorful, and great portion sizes. We came up for a show at The Hanvover Teater, and are already talking about driving just to eat here again. ❤️

The food and service here were top tier, we had Maria as our server and she was friendly and very attentive! We ordered the Chicken Bao, the Chicken Karaaage, the house salad, the beef and salmon skewers, the Maze noodles and Tamenegi noodles. The karaage chicken and the bao were our personal favourites, but would recommend all of the food we had! Definitely will be back here soon!

Editing review: this is my favorite restaurant. Never disappoints. I had a great veg remon bowl. Edmame here is my favorite. Lunch menu is limited but still nice. Love their mocktail too. Great ambience and very tasty food. I am happy when a restaurant can put together a decent vegetarian meal and this place did justice to it. Tofu was really good. Friends tried Scorching salmon" which was very good. Drinks (sun/moon) were good too... I recommend this place for a nice meal.

We really enjoyed this place! The service was great and the food was incredible. It was so good we had it for lunch, then came back for dinner when our other option ended up closing early. We had to wait 30 minutes for lunch on a Saturday, but made reservations for dinner and got right in. The Hakata, Moyashi, and Butter Corn were all phenomenal. The vibe is cool, with anime playing on a bunch of TVs and some really cool artwork.

This place is a gem. I was very pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The live jazz music playing upon entering was such a great welcome! The delicious appetizers were good! The entree did not disappoint at all. The food was flavorful and so were the drinks. The ube cheesecake was everything I didn't know I needed. Isaac, the waiter was very pleasant and made such great recommendations. He was attentive and so friendly. Place has earned its stars. I'll definitely be back for more. I hope the quality stays great over time.

Absolutely delightful! The ramen and sushi were outstanding. The dessert a baklava ice cream was light and not too sweet. The white chocolate peppermint mousse, an adorable presentation, was a delicious surprise. We will definitely be back!

Found our new favourite date spot! The interior design of the restaurant is so fun and very on brand, they even have anime playing behind the bar. The staff are so friendly and the service is spectacular! Just try the matcha and you’ll see, it’s a full experience. I love that they had us pick our own sake cups, and the food selection is stellar. All your favourite yakitori favourites plus a handful of good ramen staples. The ghost tonkotsu is actually spicy guys I’m not joking. The beef tataki is DELICIOUS. The price is a little high for some of the items, but overall our experience was excellent. Will be back soon!

This place is one of best Japanese restaurants! With the reasonable price and great service. I'm always drink a lot of water but when we were there I didn't to asking for water the waitress always fill my water right away. My son doesn't how to use chopsticks and the waitress give my son a folk we don't need to asked. For all those little thing really impressed us.

Would give ten stars if I could. The samurai sushi, lobster Rangoon sushi and the tori dragonfruit sushi were out of this world! Our server Katie couldn’t have been nicer! Also the fried chicken bao and the two delicious ramen bowls stuffed our bellies . Also the Tokyo craft cocktails were so sweet and unique. Got dessert to go! Street parking was easy to find too

Absolutely loved Chashu! We got to the restaurant early and ended up getting a drink and apps at the bar. The vibe was so warm, and I loved that there were four TVs set up, and they were all playing anime! The bartender was super friendly and did a great job of answering our questions. Tried the unagi (the absolute best I've ever had) and the fried chicken bao (SO good and the bun was soft and fluffy) along with the a drink called The Antidote (delicious and way stronger than you expect). After that we were seated at our table, and honestly we wish we had just stayed at the bar! I ordered the moyashi ramen with marinated bamboo. It was spectacular. The flavors were well blended and all the individual ingredients still had their own taste. I truly wish we had something this good up in NH, but I love knowing we now have two fantastic restaurants to choose from when we're in Worcester!

This is my favorite restaurant in MA and I try visiting here at least 1 time a month, even tho I live 30-45 mins away. This is the second time Katie serves me and she has been the bomb.com, even during training someonec she was on point. I brought 2 new people here and they enjoyed it as much as I always do.

Pretty loud and busy when we stopped there on a Sunday night. My friend got the Woo tofu, which was so nice and tasty. But the must try is the pork bao: perfectly charred pork belly in a soft bun with a little spicy aioli and BBQ sauce, topped with an apple slaw and just the right amount of sweet pickled onions, which balanced the flavors nicely. 10/10 We all had ramen for our meal, there are many to choose from on the menu with large portions, so ate it for lunch the next day. Many drink options to go with your meal. And we sampled the dessert menu too; quite nice so save room. :)

Great place for modern sushi and a Japanese style "tapa." Small plates of fantastic things like scorched salmon. Sushi is the best is the area, particularly the delux nigiri / sashimi. A little loud, but manageable.

We partnered with Chashu Ramen for CASA's annual fundraiser and were absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out! As a nonprofit, we really depend on community partners to make our events happen, and the team went above and beyond for our event. They were super responsive, easy to work with, and delivered top-notch quality. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how great the experience was. They have been part of CASA's annual fundraiser for the past few years and we’re definitely excited to team up with them again in the future!

I wanted to share my thoughts about Chashu Ramen + Izakaya because my family and I have become regulars. We love Chashu! The food is so flavorful and well-seasoned. Everything we’ve tried tastes amazing. It also feels like a healthier option without sacrificing flavor. The environment is inviting and has a cool, relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. Definitely one of our favorite spots!

This is a perfect date spot. Interesting drinks, beautifully plated dishes, lots of options, great flavors. The restaurant is bright and very clean. Servers are extremely attentive. Sushi, ramen, and appetizers. Make a reservation because it can get busy. I will definitely be back!

We got the spicy pork miso ramen as is as well as an order of the hakata pork miso, substituting the ramen noodles for udon noodles. The spicy pork miso ramen was perfect as is, and it was not at all spicy and I am sensative to hots. I preferred the ramen noodles to udon. They burn the fat of the pork belly just right right. The broth is full of flavor and the other componenets were all top notch too. The servers Katie and Elizabeth did a great job and were happy to chat with us.

A MUST TRY place. The Surf and Turf noodles are incredible. The craft cocktail list is refreshing. I've been twice already, and I can't wait to go back. There's a paid lot to park around the corner for guaranteed parking, but if you drive around you can probably find street parking. Definitely give this place a try!

Unexpectedly delicious!! We can’t remember our bartenders name - he had glasses, tall, and mentioned his wife - but he was awesome. Great drinks, great ramen, great sushi. Will come back next time we’re in town!

Went here for a nicer date night out. We expected a little more given the high ratings. The atmosphere was great, service was quick and kind. The small plates were delicious, but we were a bit disappointed with the ramen. The chicken was quite dry and bland. Wish they had a seafood option that had broth. I definitely recommend doing more small plates with your order.

Great food! I had the Tanjun Chicken 🐔 Ramen 🍜 with a Salmon 🍢 Skewer as a side. The tender noodles, slightly spicy seeds and chewy chicken with scallions made for a warm treat! The grilled salmon just flaked perfectly and was tasty 😋! The service was good though I started to feel rushed at the end 🔚. The host at the entrance was honest and told me that they did not have enough staff yet to service all of the tables. I sat at the bar, which I usually do, where I was greeted and asked how I was doing. I was offered water 💦 and told that the menu was online. I was given access to the restaurant's WiFi since the guest WiFi was not working. I was given time to choose from the menu. The bartender gave me his opinion on how good the food tasted concerning my choices. The wait time for my food was short. The bartender was very busy and he seemed a little rushed by the time I ended my meal and drink. The interior of the restaurant and bar 🍺 is interesting. There are Christmas decorations still up by the flat screens at the bar. Black is a popular color inside, which makes the huge pictures on the wall stand out. The music 🎶 was not loud 🔊. My only issue was the Manga cartoon being shown on the flat screen. People were being choked, stabbed and blood was flowing. Ugg! Seeing someone's naked backside did not enhance my enjoyment of my food. I had a pleasant conversation with the couple next to me about Shen Yun. They were going to see 🙈 it for the first 🥇 time and I had just seen it for the second 🥈 time. Prices are moderate. I had no sticker shock. You may want to call ahead. I am going to recommend this restaurant.

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time because I love ramen and finally went. Overall it was okay, but left a little disappointed. I would still enjoy eating there if someone else wanted to go but I don't think I will choose to go there myself. Started off with the brussel sprouts which were very yummy. Crispy, and a nice buttery dressing. The pork belly bao was also very good, but was very small for the price and you only get one. I then had the Moyashi tonkotsu which I enjoyed and liked the pork belly. I think the broth could have had a little more depth of flavor though. My wife had the classic udon with shredded sesame chicken which unfortunately was not good at all. The broth was nice and garlicky, but the chicken was extremely dry and chewy and tasted like a plain boiled chicken. Maybe this was a one off mistake for the chicken though. The Kasutādo custard was very creamy and I liked the streusel topping, but it was extremely small for the price. Overall, I had mixed feelings on my soups but I’m sure there are lots of other good things on the menu. The prices and portions especially for the bao and custard were off though.

Upon walking in the atmosphere was great and very aesthetically pleasing. The anime playing in the background was also a nice touch. I would say that the service was great and the server really seemed to have good recommendations for items on the menu. We had sushi and a pork belly bao bun which were very good to start off, then we got ramen. I had the butter corn ramen and its chicken and shrimp which was honestly not the best. The broth was not too bad but the chicken was really dry and chewy. The taste and texture of the chicken honestly threw me off, I ended up not finishing the ramen which was a bit disappointing for someone who loves ramen. My husband got the spicy beef bulgogi ramen and he thought the flavor was good but the food was a bit on the colder side.

G
Gerry Gan

The food was quite good although it seemed to be a bit of a slant on classic Japanese fare. I've never had green apple in a maki sushi, but the spider roll was quite good...and it's listed as an ingredient in a lot of the rolls. The Kogi beef bowl was essentially a Korean Bi Bim Bop. It was good but it was a little heavy on the rice. The grilled salmon was especially good.

J
Jay

Had a reservation still waited 12 min for the table even though there were many open tables. Waitress tried to upsell everything. The ramen noodles are not ramen they were thicker and not that great the ingredients were cold. The place is nice but the service and food are subpar. Never going back

Z
Zachary Cooper-Vastola

This was a pretty mediocre ramen shop. My suggestion is that you read the reviews and potentially try somewhere else. It's a nice space and centrally located. The food was pretty mid and the flavors and ramen were not great. If you're into ramen this is probably not the right spot for you. The bao bun appeared to be raw and was pretty tasteless.
