I had an amazing experience at this IHOP in San Clemente! The omelet and pancakes were served hot and fresh, and every bite was absolutely delicious. The service was fast and friendly, making the whole meal even more enjoyable. I finished everything on my plate without leaving a single bite! Highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot

We went over the weekend with my son to have some breakfast and even though the place was busy we were seated rather quickly and our food was delivered to our table fast. We had two waiter checking up on us and cleaning after we were done with our items . Ten out of ten customer service.

She needs to be promoted or at minimum she should be in charge of training! Customer service is on point! My grandson asked if he could say thank you to her, which he did!! IHOP , what can you say, been around forever, quality of food is still questionable. 55+ BLT had about 2-1/2 maybe 3 slices of bacon 🥓. My 90 year old parents are really down with IHop so there we were.

The food is always good at IHop. The dining room was a bit crowded and it was hard to get my wheelchair through.

Went on a Saturday, service was slow but our server was nice.

Early in, fast service, hot meal; way yummy!

First thing I noticed was how dirty the front glass doors were. To be fair I came in on Veterans Day and they were busy. But still take the 2 min and clean the glass. If the doors are nasty what else is? Food was great though so I’m overlooking it. For as busy as they were service was great as well.

Diner was clean and not full when I arrived. Was quickly sat down within 5 min of arrival. Food was good but the only thing that disappointed me was the customer service. Not sure if the lady working that night just started, but she did not know what a milkshake was. She came back with her manager to ask what I ordered. After her manager explained it to her, she started making it, and for the first time innvisiting IHOPS, I did not receive the extra shake that I've always received in a metal cup at all IHOPS. I asked the manager what happened with the extra shake they always give, and he stated that they only give out the extra shake if they've made too much. What he did not know is that I saw the waitress dump out the extra in the sink after she made it but I did not want to make a big fuss over it. I just thought I'd throw that out there as it was a first for me. Diner also didn't have some of the ingredients needed to make one of the dishes I wanted to order. Don't think I'll be coming back to this IHOP.

This location is probably among the nicer IHOP restaurants. There's always plenty of staff, and while they do get busy, they've always been very nice and prompt with service. Food is IHOP food... Good but very sweet! Lots of sugar. Coffee, while plentiful, is on the weak side, and the flavor is mild. Not always my first choice, and never on my list of local "must trys". But hey, if you're from somewhere yonder and crave a familiar taste, this may be just the thing.

It's IHOP, what can you say? I've been craving pancakes for weeks. I had tried twice to go other places and it just didn't happen. I went the other day and TA DA!!! I got sugar-free syrup and the young man was very accommodating, his mom is also diabetic. Of course I'll go back when I want pancakes. I'm sure not going to keep that stuff in my house! 😊

went here for the first time, was seated immediately. upon waiting 30 minutes for my food, i had received the wrong kind of pancake. ordered a new one, came perfectly fine. when looking over the check i realized they had charged me for “two adults” despite my daughter being 11 years old and i in my 20s (as you can see there is only one adult in the party). i notified the waiter, and they solved the problem in less than 2 mins. aside from these ordeals, i enjoyed dining here, the food tasted great, and i can tell that the waiters are trying their best to keep up with the feud of people.

Basic IHOP experience. Average food. But this location is cutting costs by eliminating staff and having a single server/manager for almost the entire restaurant. Don't expect followup table visits.

Weekends its a waste of time. Wait lines are huge! And once you sit down, it takes about an hour to get your food. Its horrible!!!

I asked over easy eggs and got over hard eggs. Then forgot to condiments and plasticware and took my daughter back in to get it and the girl said that we opt out of it and didn't want to give it to us so I called the manager and the manager said to go get it. Won't be coming back to this location I've never had a worst experience at an IHOP than this one.

The food was cold. The mgr at cashier counter couldn't give me my $4.61 change. So he says he's going to my waitress. My waitress comes and says she will bring me back $4 in change. I thought $4 what happened to my 61 cents. So I thought it must be a mistake and she was just simplifying. But when she returned she only brought $4. And thought it was perfectly okay to keep my 61 Cent change. I am new to California. And I don't know if this the custom here for people to keep your change as in coins. But where I came from people gave you your full change back. I find this very crooked business practices. This was at the location on Oceanside Boulevard near the I-5 just to clarify. And it's a general for IHOP if you're going to have a special it should last more than just 3 days. That was really ridiculous to have a special one day and two days later it's gone. That didn't make me happy either when I went to another IHOP and found that out

They were unprofessional, especially the greeter. Waited 10 minutes for a high chair in which I had to ask the busboy to find me one. The waiter, was also unprofessional,did not greet and was late taking our orders,the place was empty.

If your goal is to get food poisoning or get sick, this the best place for it! My entrée wasn’t cooked properly, the meat is still raw, rotten broccoli with mold on the side. They were also forgot to add the vanilla cream for my Strawberries and Cream crepes (and not the first time) so just plain crepes with strawberry syrup. The staff rude and extremely incompetent! And that’s for $75 with tip!!

If I could rate this place negative stars, I would!!! I came here and sat in the lobby for 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. Then another guy walks in and is immediately greeted and asked how many is in his party. I then let the server know that I had been waiting already and don't know how she hasn't seen me (I'm 6'4"). She didn't apologize but instead said "ok" then took me to a table that was barely clean. I sat at the table for another 10+ mins without anyone coming to the table to check on me or at least tell me that someone would be with me shortly... This is bottom level customer service and I honestly don't know how they have stayed open this long. Needs more manager engagement and floor presence ASAP.

Be careful if you order the gluten free pancakes. Something on my plate was not gluten free. I had scrambled eggs with bacon and gluten free pancakes. I got sick. Won't go back to IHOP to eat again.

Had an awful experience picking my order up from this location. My order was set to be ready at 12:05pm. When we arrived near 12:40pm, it was still not ready. We asked the front staff if our order was ready and they were rude and condescending in the way they addressed me and the few people waiting. They rudely said “the kitchen is busy” and walked away when I asked for an ETA. There were 7 people in the kitchen and a lot of to-go orders were sitting waiting to be packed. When our food was ready, we were missing items from our order and our food was cold. Not once during our wait did anyone show any kindness or positivity. The way we were treated at this store is very disappointing given the reputation IHOP has of excellent customer service. The fact that not one person on the staff had a positive attitude is reflective of the management and the work environment they’re creating.

If you’re going to advertise that you are open until 10 then stay open for dining until 10. Don’t close dining at 9:25, refuse us as customers, and have an attitude when we question store hours. If you wanna be lazy and stop working at 9:30 then close dining at that time and have your hours listed match those times.

I've been to this location often and usually i am very pleased, however the last few times that I've been in service has been terrible. There has either been hair on the cups or on the plates of food. Previous to the last time I came in, I had to send my food back 3 times for it to be done correctly and by the time I received my food correctly my partners food was ice-cold. This last time we came in we were seated quickly but then proceed to sit there for 20 minutes before anyone came to greet us and get us drinks. I watched as all the staff were standing at the server station/pass bar and goofed off with eachother while not receiving any type of acknowledgement that we had been sat. I've been a waitress going on 9 years so I understand how busy it can get but this was not the case. Staff here are more worried about talking and messing with eachother then providing service to their guests. Do better.

Then another 15 minutes or more goes by and someone finally comes to take the order. This is a highly charged racial atmosphere. If you are Hispanic you get prompt immediate A plus service. And NO. We are not racist. I am half Mexican, I just don't look it. When we have come in first and then others who are Hispanic who come in after us, they always hands-down, get waited on. I have seen white couples sit there forever finally get up and leave. We have watched only many Hispanics many get their orders first even though we've ordered 30 minutes prior. We finally threw in the towel and got up and left after our server never brought our pre-order of a side dish to eat while we waited for our main course breakfast. The server said he'd bring it out when he went back to the kitchen. Well, after 7 trips back and forth walking right past our table from the kitchen, we never got our order. All he did was only wait on Hispanics. Its so in your face. This is common practice there. I make no apologies for anything I've said as I am Hispanic myself. The truth needs to be told. The only reason I gave this restaurant franchise one stars is because there are no zeros.

This is the worst IHOP I've been to and the worst experience at a IHOP I've ever had. Everyone was extremely rude to us. Our food took over 40 minutes to arrive. They even forgot to bring parts of my order to which I had to remind them. Coffee was almost cold. Even the portion sizes of my plate were far less than it usually is for a nearly $20 breakfast plate. Our seats were still dirty and not wiped. Absolutely dreadful. Does the manager even know whats going on here? Please do not go here.
