I saw this restaurant was one of the top restaurants to eat at Chinatown on a instagram post specifically for its outdoor atmosphere. We were greeted outside by Gloria who made us feel like VIP. Right from the start they served us complimentary potstickers, peanuts and a couple slices of fruit. They had a lovely table full of complimentary candies, hair ties and toys for an optional tip. The service was quick and pleasant. We ordered chicken chow mein, bbq pork buns, steam pork dumplings and one of the best orange chicken I ever had. The chicken and batter was cooked to a perfect crisp and sauce tasted so fresh instead of syrupy. After they picked up our plates they served us complimentary vanilla ice cream and variety of candy. My family and I will definitely come back.
Gloria was amazing providing a welcoming feeling to this restaurant, she was very attentive and gave us good recommendations on the menu, we had the privilege of spending our evening in the corner of the balcony with a mesmerizing view of the 2026 Chinese year events in San Francisco.
Expensive but worthwhile. Like many others Gloria got us from the street (she's a charmer). The coupon she handed us got us free green tea ice cream at the end and those little sesame snacks. We ultimately chose this restaurant because they mentioned what a beautiful day it was and wouldn't it be nice to eat outside? And they were absolutely right. My feet hurt so I got the Chinese rice wine. Just imagine something akin to a brandy. But they plop in a dried plum and a brown sugar Rock and give you the option of some lime. It really helped refresh after a long day of walking around. My son got the Xiao Long Bao and said the flavor was great. Although I think he was hoping for more soup in them. My daughter got the shu mai and said they were good but her tummy wasn't up for it. So I got her some green beans and asked for no spice. BEST GREEN BEANS EVER. I can see how they would have been really great with spice added, but for the sake of making sure my twin 8-year-olds had some along with my Midwest husband we went without. I could eat those for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I got the (Szechuan?) shrimp and bok choy. It was all very fresh and good. My husband got the hot and sour soup and it had a delicious smoked flavor that made me think that I was either exceptionally hungry or it was made in house. I am betting the latter. The balcony we were on had a good view of the alleyway without having to smell anything. We got to watch the birds flitter about and enjoy the Sun and people watch below. I would absolutely go again as long as I had the finances. We are on vacation and we're willing to splurge that I can understand how the price might be a little daunting for a more casual meal. At the end the owner came by with some extra fortune cookies and a big smile. Very friendly to kids and I would go back if nothing else then to get the green beans.
Took my family of 5 in there. I was too waved in by a nice man that did give us a coupon as well. I ordered way to much food. They give you huge portions. Everything was so delicious, the walnut prawns were my favorite!! They also gave us lots of free items, free appetizers, free desserts, and a free gift bag with lots of goodies!!! The waiter was so sweet, Thank you so much for such great customer service. We will be back!!
We wandered into this restaurant after Gloria gave us a flyer on the street. We didn't know what to expect and were happy to discover great food and service. We really enjoyed the pot stickers, fried rice, and dumplings. The mushroomd with tofu were also great!! The free green tea ice cream was a nice bonus!
We were invited in by the amazing Gloria right off the street looking for a place that wasn’t packed for Chinese New Year celebrations. What an amazing find. The food was great. Service was fast and the I got the most random gift bag 🤣 - best surprise of the night! 10/10 would come again.
I was walking down the street looking for a restaurant when none other than Miss Gloria herself came right out and hailed me from across the street. She was immediately friendly and welcoming. I asked if the outdoor seating was open, on the second floor. She led me inside, all the way upstairs and right to a table. She is absolutely awesome and i love her! She has the best personality and was very hospitable. I was visiting SF from Cleveland, Ohio and this was my first trip to China Town. I loved the view from the second floor. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the seafood fried rice and tried the curry chicken skewers. The service was great. Even as i sit down they gave me a plate with some dumplings. Afterwards they serve ice cream and some other little pastries. I even got a swag bag of candy at the end! Would very much recommend this to anyone in the area. Not just for Miss Gloria, but the food as well. Definitely 5/5 across the board.
Great vegetarian options in the heart of Chinatown. From the moment we walked in the service was impeccable. Good authentic food, great service and reasonable pricing. **note don’t eat and review…. This place deserves your full attention on the delish cuisine.
Over the weekend, my family and I visited San Francisco. While in Chinatown, we were searching for a place to eat when an older gentleman kindly invited us to the restaurant where he is employed. I must say, I have no regrets about accepting his invitation; the restaurant was truly remarkable. You have the option of seating on the balcony or indoors. Our group was quite large, so we chose to sit inside. The atmosphere was delightful, and their attentiveness to customers was exceptional. The food was delicious, and I particularly recommend the Mongolian Beef. It offered a pleasant level of spiciness, and the meat was wonderfully tender. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, retaining a satisfying crunchiness. The tip was automatically included, but the overall cost was quite reasonable. In summary, this restaurant was excellent, and I highly recommend it.
We initially planned to dine at another restaurant, but it was unfortunately closed down. So, we decided to give this place a chance after finding a flyer for it. Honestly, the best places are often hidden gems. A kind gentleman escorted us up the steps to the restaurant, and the staff was both courteous and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious! We treated it like a family-style dining experience. They even gave us free potstickers and green tea ice cream. At the end, they also presented us with these delightful sesame seed dough treats. I’m not sure what they’re called, but they were soft and had a delicious filling. The restaurant also had a table full of small trinkets as a gift for customers (one or two items). These included hair ties, toy cars, candies, coffee chocolates, and mini games. Overall, the entire experience was truly amazing. Full of delightful surprises, I will definitely be adding this restaurant to my list of places to revisit for more delicious meals.
We were drawn in off the street with a coupon for free potstickers. The only downside to this restuarant is the fact that it is located on the second floor so you cannot see the seating area from the street. The food was good, the service was excellent, the ambiance was comfortable while still a cultural experience. My wife and I ordered Creamy Prawns with Honey Walnuts. We got a healthy serving, and the presentation was beautiful. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the crunch of the walnuts paired wonderfully. It was delicious and satisfying. We also got the Chef’s House Special Fried Rice with chicken, BBQ pork, egg, and veggies. Good flavor and texture, with a very good amount on the plate. The waitstaff were attentive but did not hover, it was easy to get their attention to ask a question. When we were seated we were presented with a warm wet cloth to clean our hands with and we were shown the convenient charging station at the table. They obviously cater to visitors. The fortune in my fortune cookie was "A problen clearly stated is a problem half solved". We'd be back if we were local.
Chinatown Restaurant was an amazing find! Gloria welcomed us in with such warmth and made sure we had a fantastic experience. The staff was extremely friendly, and the service was top-notch. The food was delicious, with generous portions—perfect for sharing. Plus, we were surprised with a few complimentary appetizers, which made our meal even more special. The hospitality here is unmatched, and we left feeling truly taken care of. Highly recommend if you’re in San Francisco’s Chinatown!
Welcome to the birth place of Chinese food as we know it in the United States! This is an authentic experience, with quality ingredients, generous portions, and friendly service. Our Dim Sum for 2 was under $100 (with automatic tip + rice wine + complimentary green tea ice cream). This is a local favorite for a reason 🥰 Tourists - if this seems steep, welcome to California. We care about our amazing service workers and we want them properly compensated for the love they put into the fresh cuisine they share with us 💗 the price reflects. Happy Lunar New Year to all who celebrate 🐍
What a wonderful place! The full is amazing, but the atmosphere and the service are just exceptional. We ordered the sampler for two, and we got lots of complementary food, ice cream and even a goody bag with treats. Someone complained that they were "forced" to tip 20% (which you should ALWAYS do; that's the cost of eating out in America), well, we were suggested to tip 40%. I thought that was a little steep, so we tore that part of the receipt and tipped 20%, like you do. I will definitely go back; in the meantime, thanks to the crazy portions, I have enough food for the next three days!
was hungry and me and my friends found a spot because of gloria my beautiful queen soo swweet came to our rescue belly full well fed. thank u so much will again!!!
Beautiful experience. Staff was amazing and food was excellent. Owner came to our table and gave me and my family a good laugh.

Delicious. So much food. Great atmosphere in San Fran Chinatown. Dinner for three was delightfully delicious. Cool patio seating. Great staff.
The atmosphere and service were great! It qas a fun experience. Qe just order the Dim Sum experience for 2 amd sooo much food was brought out! Things I have tried before and things I haven't! The food quality was not quite the best but still delicious! Then when receiving our check we got a scoop of ice cream, fortune cookies, and Madeline cookies. And then a bag of corn nuts after we paid! Highly recommend!
I was told that the restaurant had a really long history. It is on the second floor, very quiet, most tables were empty. The price is higher than average, but the portion is huge. I only managed to eat half portion and took away the rest. One prawn dish cost over $40, which was too expensive for me.
A little place amongst many options of chinese restaurants. However, the staff was very kind and inviting. It is a bit of a walk going upstairs. This restaurant has historical presence and the portraits of the people are very important to commentate. They provided wipes right away, little appetizers, and fast and delicious food. Dessert, was great as well.
I found this place while walking down Chinatown and received a free potsticker coupon. This restaurant caught me by surprise when we ordered and everything was very good. Food was very delicious and did not make my stomach hurt the next day so that’s great. Customer service is excellent they definitely go above and beyond. We ordered combination chow mien, green beans, pork dim sum, and duck . In total for everything $194, i definitely recommend this restaurant for some bomb food.

A good choice for tourists while visiting SF China town. We were a party of 6 and ordered dim sum. The food was good and the portions generous. Great for the price! Friendly attentive service.

The food is good, the service isn’t that good. One plate that we ordered never came and when we asked about it they told us we didn’t order it. They added 18% for the tip in the check without asking, I said no and left the percentage of tip I wanted to, but you want to avoid those things as a customer. They also wanted to take my card to the kitchen for the payment but I said no, most of the staff don’t speak much english.
Skeptical about the place since there's some people outside trying to convince you to come in. After seeing the wait time on the places around we came back to this place and I'm glad we did!\n\nI…
The best part was the guy standing at the corner hawking the restaurant. Our server didn’t speak any english. They charged for water. My Kung Pau Chicken had more pepper than chicken and was too hot. My wife’s sweet and sour chicken was good. Service was slow. Food was expensive. And for a culture that doesn’t believe in tipping, they were very presumptuous by adding a 23% tip for a poor experience.
Cut to the chase, food was miiiid. Flavorless and felt bad after spending nearly 100 dollars on it too for 2 samplers for me and my gf (tip and drinks included) All food we'll try* to finish. Went during festival time, at least the balcony view was nice. The experience was ok, wish it was literally any other food place in this specific location though...

We were walking in Chinatown, approached by a lady in yellow raincoat, handing out free Greentea Ice-cream Coupon with meal, so we went. Ordered Mongolian Beef 28.00, Fried Rice 19.50, Can of Diet Coke 4.95, Tea 4.95 and an appetizer of Spring Rolls 15.00. We split one entrée, but everything is al-l'cart, our meal was 85.00 tip for two was already included, but they charged you for the tip. Food wasn't good, it was frozen, like stouffers meals, I won't recommend any dish, because the Can D-Coke and Ice Tea was the only thing that was fresh. Go to New York's Chinatown and eat real Chinese food. This place was a lesson of what not to do in San Francisco. Very disappointed and Food made me sick, but not for long. Sorry for posting a negative review, but if it saves anyone from getting taken, then it's worth me sharing. Member the Coupon person handing out free green tea ice-cream with meal, don't go. But across the street from there, there was a restaurant with 30-40 guest in line in the rain the get lunch, should have gone there, and they were 60% less in pricing. Choose wisely.
I really wanted to like this place and was so excited but i had one of the worst experiences. Portion size was smaller than regular size dish for family size and dishes came out like it was sitting on the counter for a while. We were there for 2 hours waiting for dish after dish and some without proper utensils and have to ask twice to get it finally. In the end they charged extra for tip even though it wasn’t what we wrote on the receipt.. Response: Thank you for your prompt response. I would also like to clarify that we were stopped by your staff down to street to come dine with you, when there was many other optional restaurant serving until later with a prompt service rather than waiting for utensils and bowls for the food is served without. And we waited to pay for the service for 30 minutes just to get the receipt with “suggested tip” already added to the total. We reduced the big tip for the “great service” and was STILL CHARGED higher than the total written. I would gladly pay for the potstickers and just have a better experience with honest charging than be blamed for the service we had on Christmas night.
