Super good black milk tea with 75% sweetness, keep you nice and cool on the hotter days! Very fresh wonderful taste.
I stopped by this location when I was touring around San Francisco great tea very refreshing the boy behind the counter though did not want to personally interact or answer my questions ,which I get it I come from the south, who wants to talk to me anyway! Lol
Nice place to hang out. We went there fairly late, and the only table in that place was fortunately available. Tea was ok; even 30% sweet was quite sweet imo.
Really enjoy my thai tea here not to mention the sweets here also are delicious. Very small shop though with limited seating.
Just came from here and was pleasantly surprised. The male "bobarista" greeted me right away and was very helpful since I didn't know what to get. He gave me a sample of a kumquat green tea but in the end, I opted for the popular grass jelly roasted milk tea. It's really good, just the right amount of sweetness (30%) with a distinct tea flavor. Service was quick and super friendly. He ended with "have a good day!" Thanks! :D
Nice variety of milk tea available in China Town. I liked that they had a "most popular" list, it helped me try a flavor I probably would have never tried otherwise. You can choose your desired sweetness level.
Cool tea bar has a large selection or teas, with a few toppings to choose from. We tried the Grass Jelly Tea and the Kumquat Green Tea. Both were tasty. I saw after I ordered that they have Honey Pomelo Tea. I can’t wait to try it next time.
Great tasting bubble tea! Service was efficient and friendly the one time I went there. Their large is huge compared to other places' larges. We ordered the honey lemon tea and we enjoyed it thoroughly.
I go out of my way to get the taro milk tea there. They make it from actual taros, not powder. Some people don't like how thick it is, but I love the that it's real mashed up taros. My go to order is that with red bean and 30% sugar.
Delicious! The matcha smoothie was super refreshing 🤤 There was no more boba so I decided to try the cool balls instead, they were tasty. Would definitely repeat!
Refreshing Dragon Pearl milk tea with boba. The servers were friendly, happy, full of giggles, nice to see them having fun at work. Their recommendation was great, will return!
Been coming here since I was in middle school. Love their drinks! Now that I’m older it brings back good memories when they were open on Pacific Avenue. Support our local small business!
When boba places started to get really popular about what... 10+ years ago..? I really enjoyed the milk tea for what it was - Tea, with some milk. Artificial syrups and excessive sugar are the norm now at most places, and the actual "tea" has taken a back seat.
Very cute and quietly trendy. They treat customers like people there and know how to create a nice vibe. The girl working on Monday nights was spectacular!
Boba is always consistent. Honey green tea with 30% sugar is the perfect amount of lightly sweet. And the large size is huge!
Delicious Passion fruit green tea bubble tea. Nice little spot with couches and wifi so you can sit and relax. Very kind employees. Open till midnight.
They use real tea leaves (and real taro). Has a wide assortment of flavors to try as well as different additions like pudding, lychee jelly, tapioca, aloe vera, etc.
I ordered kumquat lemon green tea. You can adjust level of sweetness which helped a lot. Amazing and so refreshing!
was planning to buy myself a glass of a refreshment but everything was just pricey in the US😭 lol im sorry im not from here so for me it costs a lot eventually can't resist because i was really in a mood for bubble milk tea and was actually strolling through china town and found this place! i would say this place offers a really affordable prices for what you get as the glass was huge!! (L size)🥹🥹🫶🏼 i ordered the roasted milk tea + cool balls and it tasted so good! just the perfect amount of tea and milk🫶🏼 can you imagine everything costs only $7😭🫶🏼 the place is kinda cozy too and there's one machine on the side to let you order from it
Excellent! Absolutely loved visiting this shop after our Barbie lookalike contest in Chinatown for autumn moon festival. They have a really cute “Made in San Francisco” neon sign. We got 3 drinks, all of which were delicious!
Very good! Got the Matcha Milk tea with Lychee pop on 75% sugar. Only $6! Unheard of in this city. The yeah is very good and they loaded up the jelly. Only thing I’d with they offered pop as well but that’s neither here nor there. Really like that they offer sugar percentages that way you can get your preferred sweetness.
Tried this place through Too Good To Go, and it was an awesome value. I got 3 drinks, including 2 milk teas and 1 regular tea, all for $5.99. There was only one person working there when I went near closing at 6:30, and she was so nice and friendly. The teas were delicious and well-packed. Highly recommend the service and taste. Take-out only, no place for dine-in when I went (March 2022).
Super Bubble tea in Chinatown ! Get the Mango one with 30% of sweetness cause yes you Can choose your sweetness level ;))
All these low ratings come from terrible boba connoisseurs. This place is excellent. Loved their Jasmine milk tea despite not having boba went good with crystals and jelly.
Great iced tea. Many flavor options and the service was very nice.
Loads of tea options here. Really enjoyed the Thai tea in Chinatown. Yes, the irony.

This was the place that originally got me hooked on boba when they had a store on Columbus for a while. A good, broad menu of drinks and toppings, not to mention a large size which I suspect can quench any thirst. Looks like they've upgraded some things since my last visit... It's looking great, and drinks are superb, as always!
they're open pretty late (11pm / midnight), so i like to drop by in the evening. my go to is their #1 roasted milk tea with grass jelly at 0% sweetness. there are 2 small sofas you can sit / rest on, but the space is pretty small
Had a Jasmin milk tea with bobba and cool ball. Tasted amazing. They give you options on how sweet you want it, I always love when they have that! They girl on the cashier was very nice too.
I really love bubble tea, and I love Cool Tea Bar. I remember they used to have a location on Columbus, but it went out of business, so I was glad to see that one was here on the street I live on whenever I moved to Chinatown! I recommend the Jasmine Milk Tea or Roasted Milk Tea, 0% sweetness with the egg pudding and grass jelly. I find that the egg pudding gives enough sweetness if you don't like ultra sweet tea. 100% sweetness would be enough to stop my kidneys. If you've never been fortunate to have bubble tea, now is a perfect time to try it! It's basically iced herbal tea with milk, sugar, and various types of fillings such as grass jelly, tapioca balls, aloe vera, etc. It's very unusual to someone who has no exposure to it, but for lack of a better word, it's a very cute drink that tastes refreshing yet satisfies a sweet tooth after a meal without being heavy. The service is also very friendly, always with a smile. Thank you so much, Cool Tea. You guys are pretty cool to me! From their cup, "Cheerful heart brings better future." So go cheer your heart up with some bubble tea!

Love, love this place! The prices are great and the large drinks are huge! Only issue though is sometimes there's a male employee that seems pretty unenthusiastic that includes in making the drinks. Got a smoothie that wasnt blended properly so had to chew through a lot of ice chunks the whole time. Otherwise this place is nothing but stellar and highly recommend.
Pretty good boba in the heart of San Francisco Chinatown. We were there on New year's Eve with a rush of people, so the wait was long, but the staff were friendly and making drinks pretty quick. There specials include the jelly boba with black tea.
good boba and lots of options but very slow service because they had one worker making bobas and taking orders
Great bubble tea! We tried the roasted milk tea and it was amazing! The lychee milk tea was too sweet and artificial for our liking but notheless still great! Definitely work a try:)
Was nice that I was told the thing I wanted would take an extra 10 minutes, because they just ran out. I had no problem with that, and it was nice of them to let me know. Wish I was given a spoon though, because I totally forgot I had 紅豆/azuki beans sitting at the bottom, and it was a waste of throwing them away at the end because I couldn't scoop them out. But no big deal. Tea is actually fresh here, and you get your choice of sugar level. No spot to sit down and enjoy, just some chairs to wait to grab your drink.
Small boba store. There was only one person working at the time we came in. I ordered the grass jelly roasted milk tea, pearl milk tea, jasmine milk tea and oolong milk tea all with boba. They have regular and large. Their regular is my normal large where I live. Different levels of sweetness to adjust to tasting. Had to wait awhile because the pearls had 5 minutes before it was ready and there was only one person to order and make drinks. Overall, the drink was good.
First time, the fact they had a young man outside with plenty of samples sure was nice and got us in to try this spot! Yummy Tea!! 😋 Passion Tea & Mango Tea.
Ordered exactly what I wanted through the convenient kiosk. Well-located and clean. Large size is huuuuge ✌️

Grass jelly roasted milk tea, 30% sweet - not sweet enough :/ Milk tasted like coffeemate
Updated on May 27, 2024. Despite a slow day with only 2 customers, it took this person more than 15 minutes to make my roasted milk tea, 30% sweet, less ice, NO toppings. Previously it took 30 minutes during New Year Festival when then place was overwhelmed with customers yet understaffed (they should not accept orders both via the kiosk and cashier when they were not delivering the orders in a remotely similar pace. Hence dropping the review to 3 stars, but specifically the service to 1 star. Original: A little pricey but for a large milk tea thr volume is pretty impressive. Didn't get to try their oolong milk tea, but roasted milk tea isn't bad. Will come back to try more.

Bubble tea was not that good. Taro was gritty and I asked for 50% sugar but it was less sweet than my friends 30% sugar.
Ran out of pearls (the entire reason I wanted a boba tea) and the matcha smoothie was super icy and there was lots of powder in it. Very strange.
I've come here 3 times in the past 2 weeks, but the last experience I had here will be my absolute last. Arrived at 11:50am on a Monday to place a simple order of milk with grass jelly and didn't leave until 12:30pm, unbelievable. There were a few people ahead of me that were waiting just as long, if not longer, only 1 person working behind the counter, only kiosk ordering available (which I don't mind at all because kiosk ordering is faster and easier - though it seems like not all the menu options are on the kiosk). On a scale of 0-10 in terms of work efficiency and hustle, I give the worker a 2. The guy was flicking hair out of his face every 10 seconds, extremely slow and appeared to not even know how to make the drinks, maybe he was a trainee and it was his first week? Let's say that's the case, then where was the person that was training him?? I was confused as hell, I could've gone to the store to get milk and grass jelly myself if I knew I'd have to wait 40min for a plastic cup of liquid. A group came in after me and placed an order of 4 drinks, one of their friends came in a few moments later already with his drink in hand from another store. Smart guy. Please put an efficient worker during lunch hours, people want to be in and out in a timely manner, this was an insane wait time for such a basic single order. Your drinks are good, but not 40min/drink good.

You know that feeling where you get a drink and it's not the way you like it. Yeah that's how I felt when I came here. Just a huge disappointment. I got a drink with 70% sugar and it tastes like it's 200%. Not even lying right now. And when I asked them about it, they said it's suppose to be like that. I swear it's just diabetes in a cup, no joke. Ruined my day, it's just disappointing and they won't even make me another cup. Never coming here again unless I'm dying from a low blood sugar level.
Friendly staff but the Taro Milk Tea is overly expensive at $6 (without the bubbles). Compared to all the other places I've been to in the world, this is the first one to serve the tea with real taro potato and not the chemical powder, which was unexpected, and I'm sorry to say it but it was so bad I couldn't even get started with the drink. A true disappointment.
I ordered a Iced milk tea without any toppings, and just normal sugar level, but it taste really bad, this is the worst milk tea I've ever had. Milk Tea is not suppose to be like this, so disappointed!
