First Timer and it was a Great Experience from Delicious food, Fish bowl Margaritas and the Service was beyond Expectations. My Friend and I Loved this place. To Top it Karokee Competition for $1000.. I tried and it was my first time .. Love it and highly recommend. Gracias Mexico Lindo Y Catina see y'all next week..
Good was good service was great but it was 6pm and there was only a couple in there. I liked that cause we could have a conversation
Went over for outdoor dining to celebrate my daughter's new job. I had 2 chicken enchiladas with green sauce, too much food which I unfortunately ate because it was so delicious. The rice, beans and salad were particularly tasty, as was the green sauce in combination with the chicken in the enchiladas. Flavor combinations were subtle and very well done. Unfortunately no flan available tonight. We'll be back.
So, I been to many Mexican food places, considering I am Mexican myself, I always want to know what others eat or take as authentic made. This place for sure is one of the most underrated places I ben too. Who ever is cooking back there knows what he or she is doing. I would say this food is home made as far as taste, the buffet as small as it seems is very exceptional, service was fantastic and servers were ready to help in anyways. Easy to find and plenty of parking in front and across street, this was one of the best choices we made and the price was very competitive if not , cheaper than other restaurants.
This restaurant is totally awesome. Honestly, I had only been here once. I would definitely go back. The food is excellent. The services great. plus, even though Spanish is my second language. I was still able to know what the lady was telling me plus, at the time I went it wasn't very busy. So, I was able to chit chat with my friends. I like that in a restaurant.
I’m a regular at Mexico Lindo y Cantina, especially on Sundays, and I’ve noticed that service can vary between different teams. The team working yesterday really impressed me—they were quick and provided top-notch service even when the place was bustling. It made my visit extra enjoyable!
Had the buffet it was good will definitely go again
Went to Mexico Lindo Y Cantina on Monday. It was pretty bare inside, so we were not sure if we made the right choice. We stayed anyway because we were all hungry from a long day. We first went to bar in back where it was super cool and great authentic Mexican music.. However,, because we were hungry and tired we opted to site in the dinning area.. Our waitress came over with the biggest prettiest smile and greeted us with menus. She was super sweet and out going. We all ordered margaritas on the rocks while she gave me a rundown of the vegetarian options. We all ordered. When our food arrived I was extremely shocked and pleasantly happy. The plates we hugh! So much food! We blessed our food and went in! It was so good! I had the cheese enchilada plate and wow, so much flavor and cheese! I eat so much and stuffed my belly but still had leftovers! Judging a restaurant by the least amount of people in it, I will not do that again. I'm surprised it's not packed out everyday! Definitely a keeper! More people should put this place on there restaurant to go to list! I promise they won't be disappointed.
That was a great outing on a Tuesday night, place was not very busy. Love the decor, music from the bar, fajitas were delicious and awesome service! Will definitely go there on a more regular basis to explore the menu! update we have come here many times over the last year and I have never been disappointed in the food or the service received. side note: personally I don't even know why people go to Luna on the Alameda which is way over price and not that great at all. I think Mexico Lindo is much better.
I came to eat here yesterday with my family for Father’s Day, the food was excellent, and the service was as well. We were attended by Naomi, we had a great time, and were treated like family. The drinks were great especially the micheladas, the best I’ve had in a while. My only complaint while there was the family that allowed their children to run around the restaurant and almost bumped into other guests. Besides that, everything was great, thank you to the servers and bartender who promptly served us, despite it being busy during the time we went!!!
We enjoyed our visit so much! The portions are huge and the food is delicious. I like the fact that even though they serve large portions, the plating isn't so bad. Our waitress was very kind, attentive and patient with all of our questions regarding their menu. Because of this, we tend to go more often when my friend comes to visit. We even have a favorite table now.😍 If you ever go to visit, I hope you enjoy yourselves too!!! #Chicken Quesadilla #Chile Relleno #Carnitas #Steak and Eggs
Tried their buffet and the options are great. Love their spicy pork ribs, fajitas, and pozole!
Good service - Had lunch with my husband. We order fried mojarra and shrimp fajitas. Fair price Good amount Quick service Kind observation: add more salt to the dishes :)
Our go to dinner spot! Been coming to this location for years. There's also other locations around San Jose but we like this location best. I switched up today's order differently from what I normally order but that's the good thing about Mexico Lindo, everything I have tried there has been so good! Today we went for lunch and I tried the Majado Burrito Super. We took our food to go but by the time we got home our food was still nice and hot and ready to enjoy. So filling and saucy, they overload it with meat, rice, beans avacados and everything else you'd get in your burrito. I'm working my way around the menu and can't wait to try something new on our next visit.
Delicious food and great service, especially for a Saturday! Menudo was a bit overcooked.
They were closed and still let us in. The food was delicious and fresh. The service could have been better but they were closed so it was great!. I'm definitely going back when they are open. Thank you you guys!!
This was a random pick while on vacation and gosh I’m glad we liked this restaurant. The food was authentic and delicious! 10/10 recommend!
Tried today for the first time and was not disappointed. Grabbed 3 tacos and an insane margarita. They could put a little more meat on the taco, but the flavor was *chef’s kiss*. I’ll definitely be back. One problem is that they charge fees your paying with a credit card which is illegal. Businesses can offer cash discounts, but it's illegal to charge extra to use credit cards for payment.
Good food, variety of options, pretty fast service. Plus they had complimentary chips which is always appreciated. Would recommend if you like Mexican food

Awesome place just like moms cooking. Don't judge the book by it's cover. This place is the bomb 💣.
Mexico Lindo is a must-visit if you're in San Jose! The food is absolutely incredible--authentic, bursting with flavor, and made with fresh ingredients that truly capture the essence of Mexican cuisine. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, but what really stands out is the amazing staff. Lino and the rest of the team go above and beyond to make you feel like family. Their service is top-notch, attentive, and always with a smile. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this is the spot. Do yourself a favor and check it out--you won't regret it!
Love this place. I always crave their Pollo Mexicana - SUPER yummy. Aside the food being the best authentic Mexican food, their service is outstanding. We’ve had our team events here many times! Definitely recommend!!!

Food is good! Price is fair and portion size is reasonable. I had Pollo de Crema and it was delicious! The beans could have been a bit warmer but still good. The service is very good too! Definitely going back!
The food was good. I had camarones al mojo de ajo and I really enjoyed it. Hubby had 3 diff enchiladas and liked them. He's very picky so thats saying something. The staff was super friendly and gave us just the right amount of attention. I'd return. The place is kubda dark inside tho even with all the Windows. Feels like it's time for updated decor. But otherwise a decent spot.
Somewhat pricy place for Mexican seafood. I had their fish stuffed with seafood. The fish came out well: in a nice tomato-based sauce, with good shrimp and octopus. The accompanying beans and rice were good. But the restaurant was somewhat expensive, and their seats have seen much better days. There were wide tears on both sides of my booth. If you're local, try them at least once.
I can't stand that many restaurants including this one do the following: The server starts bringing one dish at a time!. Please train your cooks/servers. All dishes MUST be brought together to the table! Last night my friend order Chile verde plate..rice/beans/ salad..that was the 1st dish that was brought. Manners calls for all to wait until everyone has their plate in front to start eating. Well she waited..our food flautas and a chicken salad was brought not kidding about 5 minutes after. Her dish! Cold! She got up took it to someone at the front. Ahh food was microwaved. Along with lettuce/tomato 😒😤 We had a change of server and I told her how food must be served!
Decided to try this place on our never ending search for good Mexican food. This was a pleasant surprise! I had the beef enchiladas with rice and beans. I always checkout the beans first as a indicator for how good the rest will be. Not disappointed. The beef was a little under spiced but overall it was really good. I thought the prices were a little high, but high rent probably plays it’s part. Service was good and the staff was friendly. We went early, 430pm, so not very crowded so parking was fine. Would recommend.
Picked up an order for lunch on a Tuesday (day after we effectively went into purple tier). Amicable staff, were quick to take our order and food was ready within 10 minutes. Little area to park in their parking lot due to the tent for outdoor dining. No other customers were there, seemed pretty slow but they plan to reopen outdoor dining once the rain dies off. That said, brought the food home and it was still warm. The super burrito was up to par with superb condiments complementing the moist, tender chicken. No additional salsa needed as this was ready to eat out of the foil. The chorizo and egg plate was also pretty delicious albeit standard for a Mexican restaurant (to be honest, it is pretty hard to mess this up). Frijoles and arroz were decent as well. Glad they provided utensils and presentation of food was good. Price commensurates food quantity and quality.

We went on a Thursday night maybe not the best night of the week. I ordered some chicken mole because you can't go wrong with this plate. Boil the chicken season it and throw the mole sauce on top, right? Mole didn't have any flavor. The rice was ok but soggy. On the other hand my buddy had 5 carne asada tacos and he liked them??
I went with a buddy. We've seen this restaurant many times but never went in. The servers acted like they didn't know the menu too well when asked about certain items. The food and drinks are way over priced and weren't very good. Our server asked if we wanted more chips and salsa we said yes, then charged us for them. Really. At least let us know u charge extra for refills of chips. It was 5pm on a sat evening and only 2 tables. No wonder it's dead this place is no good.
It was a good time. I walked in with a friend. It was a good casual-karaoke bar experience. The place got rather busy and fun for a karaoke night. Had DJ playing a mix of Mexican and Caribbean music and although it had a small dance floor, it fit the scene just right. I look forward to stopping by again in the near future.
I discovered this place by chance one Sunday during lunchtime. My friend and I received our service quickly and in a friendly way. Here, you'll find decent Mexican food offered at affordable prices, with large portions and good flavor. The place feels isolated and stuck in time (with its decor). I noticed they have a lunch buffet special, but it's only Monday through Friday. I might return to check it out if you're in the area and want something safe and quick.
I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere is great. Very vibrant and celebratory. We ordered the chicken flautas and shrimp enchiladas. The flautas were very dry and tasteless. The toppings definitely saved the dish. The beans didn’t taste fresh, almost can like. The shrimp enchiladas were probably the better choice. Slightly fishy but the enchilada sauce was pretty good.

Overall disappointing. Margaritas are good. Chips were stale but the salsa was good. The service wasn't good, we waited 20+ minutes for our food without our server checking in on us or letting us know it was almost ready. The "guacamole" was bland and tasted only like mashed avocados lightly mixed with onions and tomatoes. The enchiladas were lacking any flavor and the enchilada sauce was thin and watery, the "salad" was shredded lettuce with a few diced tomatoes and hidden valley ranch dressing. Won't be coming here again...
Came as a first time visitor. Recommend by a previous customer. Server was good. I had the chili relleno which came with rice and beans it was okay. My boyfriend had the carnitas plate which was horrible. Meat tasted passed its time to be served. Usually Mikey eats everything but this plate was left behind. Prices were overpriced to say the least for the quality. If you can just have a beer and move on.
Ordered door dash. Order was wrong and when called they refused to fix it saying they sent the correct order. Offered to return the food and they’ll refused to help. Said we should complain to door dash
We had the worst experience and will never be back. Once we came into the restaurant we were sat down right away not even 1 minute after we got our menus we were asked about drinks and if we were ready to order. They had too much staff working for only having 3 tables of people. After placing our order the server was too busy talking to another customer that our food came out cold. Not only was it cold but my husband and myself got sick within hours of eating here. We will never be back ever. I love Mexican food and this was not the spot, just bland food, the spot 1minute from my house would of been better than here
Don't Make the mistake of thinking it's ANYTHING as good as the other Mexico Lindo' s in SJ. This Mexico Lindo Y Cantina is the WORST!!!! I expected it to be like the Real one at Foxworthy location but I was tricked by the name.My beans were so cold that the meager cheese sprinkles didn't melt on them, tasted like they were from a can. I didn't eat them, even though I was hungry and that's all I ordered.Taco bell beans are better. The chips were so stale and hard no one had more than two chips,NOT FRESH.Taco bell is much better, again. The service was really, really slow. It took just as long,30 minutes , to get our check as it did our crappie, cold, stale food. The bathroom was so🫣 disgusting I just couldn't and We left. Trust me and go to Taco bell before wasting your time and money here. And if you want great food and service go to the MEXICO LINDO ON FOXWORTHY.
The place is alright. But the fact that they have fish in display in very small vases in the middle of tables that can be easily knocked over is horrible. These fish deserve to be put in a better environment in a set up aquarium. Not used as a cheap display for show.
The service was horrible. She mixed all the tags so that when the meals were brought out everyone had what they didn't want. No avocado please = whole slices in the burrito. No salsa please = extra spicy food. Meat, cheese, beans & sour cream = everything burrito with no sour cream. Seafood mix doesn't show what's included so unless you eat everything from the sea I wouldn't suggest getting the seafood mixto. They also automatically charge an 18% service fee for over 6 (which is kinda the norm) plus 3.95% for using a credit card and they will not split the bill whatsoever.
Dirty, smells bad, unclean bathrooms and terrible food. I got sick after eating their enchiladas and will never go back. Worst food I’ve had in years and this place needs a deep cleaning badly. Do not recommend as there are much better places close by without a risk of getting sick.
From the moment the waiter took away our drink menu before anything else, nor did he ask... He just seemed "angry at the world". Then he just abandoned us w no explanation. Wth. THEN, as soon as we received our food, I could smell FISH 🤢 I quickly identified the beans as the culprit. I could not eat the beans due to said issue and the rest of the food was nblah at best. THEN, the "?ground" beef? Felt like mush meat, tasted like Fast food overly "filled w fillers" mush, rather than ground beef. Idk 🤮 But again, the 1st waiter was a hot mess and unattentive. Our "new" wait staff was a bit more customer friendly. ? ARAVELLA, the waitress, made up for his/? lack of customer service skills.
I never leave reviews but for this place I HAD to. Went to an event there on 10/20/17 but before going I called the restaurant earlier that day to ask what time the event started (a singer was performing) they said 9:00pm. We arrived right before & they only charged us $10 instead of the $15 they had advertised I was like okay? We sit down enjoy the music only for someone to go on stage and say that they had to end the event now bc they had double booked it... and had to give the floor to the other audience. We asked people around us how long the singer had been performing and they told us he had started at 8:00pm. I was a little upset bc I had called prior to going, but still okay bc my dad was enjoying the music (we had only been there for 25 min at this point). Food wise, we ordered a beer and 2 sodas ($8 for the beer and $3 for the sodas) I didn’t think it was a lot bc obviously it’s a show. We then ordered 2 more beers and their basic nachos which are just chips, cheese, and jalapeños advertised for $7. The waiter comes back and tells us it’s $28, it doesn’t add up. I ask him why it’s $28 and he tells me it’s bc all beers are $6 each and at night they charge the $7 basic nachos at $14 🤔. It still didn’t add up should have been $26 in that case. I ask another waiter who we had not interacted with at all, the price for the beers and she again confirms all the beers are $6 each. The first waitress charged me $8 for the beer, second one charged $6 and overcharged for the nachos and still didn’t add up. They said I could go FIND the manager if I had any complaints... at this point I just wanted to get out of there. The lack of organization and professionalism from the employees and management is not good for business. I hope their service isn’t always like this, customers deserve better.
