Delicious vegetarian Vietnamese food right here in East San Jose and it's soared to being one of the top spots I'd recommend for plant-based enthusiasts out there. They offer a lot of unique Viet dishes not commonly found at other restaurants, veggie or not. The menu doesn't explicitly mark whether something is or isn't vegan, but nearly all of the items are and you can ask to make sure. We ordered their Spring Rolls, Salted Fish Fried Rice, Chinese Spinach, and Lemongrass Fish (which also came with rice). The rolls were a fantastic start and came with a savory dipping sauce. The fried rice was bomb and definitely a staple at any Viet restaurant. I also really liked the fish even though the side rice felt like overkill, but we definitely took it home afterwards to avoid waste. So not only was everything great but the service was pretty quick and the majority Viet families dining here really shows its stamp of approval by the community it serves. Parking is the only headache here as the Asian lot is busy and packed especially during lunch. I ended up parking on the street outside since it was a nightmare hunting for a spot.
Been eating here since they opened years ago! I used to be vegan so was eating here at least once a week. I’m not vegan anymore but still come here for their autumn rolls and BBH. They make the best vegetarian/vegan BBH in San Jose. We recommend this place to friends and family all the time and they love the BBH!
We got the house special hotspot. They are pretty good. Place not that big but they have outdoor seating. Parking can be a challenge peak hours. I do recommend this place.
Totally in love with this restaurant! We came here to try a new Vietnamese vegetarian restaurant for us. We love trying different vegetarian restaurants in the South Bay. We ordered summer rolls, banana flower salad, bun hue chay, and bun cha ca chay. Everything was so good! Our favorite was the banana flower salad, so flavorful and full of texture with the crunchiness of the noodles and vegetables. My husband commented he loved the dressing of the salad. Portions were generous. There is a good amount of non-meat protein sources such as mock meat, seitan, or tofu that kept us full after eating. There is only one bathroom so I wish there was more bathrooms. Service was prompt and pleasant. It’s crowded here with people eating when we went so that’s a good sign.
I have eaten here a few times. The food is great. I like the texture of crispy and chewy of the fake meats. I can't recommend any dishes because I leave that to my Vietnamese friend. The restaurant is clean, no A/C, and has friendly staff. Parking can be difficult. Come early or on a weekday. Target is across the Street
Popcorn chicken was good. Small bites with a side sauce. Quang Nam's style noodle soup. Big flat egg noodles with tons of different things. I liked it. Crispy chow mein with veggies. This was yummy. Stir fried string beans with beef was also very good.
Found this spot after going to SJ Made’s Friend Fest. The dishes look exactly like their photos and the portions are huge! The stand out for me (that I came back for this past weekend) is the Banana Flower Salad. Deliciousssss. It is tangy with red onion slivers, crunchy clear seaweed noodle pieces, cilantro, and other works. They also have a couple tables outside and since it’s on the end of the block of stores, you’re right by the sidewalk, separated by a fence. It’s nice!
This place was delicious. Every dish came out hot and everything was flavorful and the whole restaurant is vegetarian which is great! Definitely recommend this place.
The roasted duck noodle soup has at least 7 different kinds of veggies and tofu in it and is very flavorful.
Certainly the best vegetarian Vietnamese I’ve ever had, I crave it and drive the extra 20 mins every time I’m in San Jose. GO!!

Super tasty vegetarian restaurant! Went there for lunch on Sunday and had a delicious meal - split a four season deep fried appetizer, a chili lemongrass fried chicken as well as a pork skin pork and veggie egg pie. All full of flavor… we will definitely be going back! Atmosphere is very casual - fine for a lunch or dinner but not fancy. Beyond that the place is clean and service is very fast.
Over the weekend, I tried four dishes at this restaurant, and they completely blew my mind! Everything was absolutely delicious 😋 The service was fast and friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Delicious and creative food with a litany of drink options. Not all items on the menu are bilingual if you don't understand Vietnamese. The staff are very sweet and patient. 💖

Oh my goodness. As a recent vegetarian, it’s been hard finding some great Asian vegetarian spots. We ordered the banh hoi thit mount and the egg rolls to share between my best friend and I. Tastes just like meat with extremely fresh vegetables. Quick service and very nice staff! 10/10 recommend.
WOW definitely a pleasant surprise! My friends invited me to this New Hoa Dang Restaurant and I am Currently hooked! I never thought that Vegetarian Food can be so Great!! This place was absolutely lovely! They offers many Varieties Vietnamese Specialties that are very tasty, much healthier, and Very Flavorful. Their Popular items on the menu includes: Rice Noodles, Veggie Pork Spring Rolls, Can Bun, Bun Bo Hue, Minced Crab Soup, Pad Thai, Shaken Beef, Veggie Soups, and many more! So many of my favorites here!!! Absolutely love the Interior Decorations and the Welcoming Catchy Beautiful Atmospheres!!! Definitely Recommend and will Surely be coming back to try other dishes on the Menu! Came back here April23, 20025 with my friends for a birthday celebration and we absolutely love it!!! Hu Tieu Mi Kho and Bun dau mam Tom was very tasty and flavorful. This Restaurant is definitely one of my favorites Vegetarian spot for sure!!!! Great Indoor and outdoor Seatings!
So, it's rare to like something not cooked with lot of spices as my tongue is used to varieties of Indian spices. This one had unique taste, multiple choices and rare to find vegetarian so yummy. Decent pricing (consider lower than average dinner amount for the portion) Nice location. Good parking space. Negated a star due to the downside of hygiene as the table and floor was dirty. Try it out 🙏
Some of the dishes were interesting, but taste wise they are not on par as some other vegetarian restaurants in the area.

Great place, great food. They have seat outside where people can dine.
The food was decent but not particularly outstanding. The soup flavor, texture, and appearance for the bún mắm could be made more aromatic and colorful. The nem cuốn was a little small in size, so there was not much freshness to enjoy out of the vegetables inside the rolls. The cơm bò lúc lắc was good though unremarkable. I did enjoy the battered fries though.
One of few places to find vegan Mì Quảng yellow turmeric noodles, fried battered mushrooms with tamarind sauce sauce, and other with me specialties.

Food is good but the place is too hot. Please install some fans or AC
I really don’t like leaving negative reviews, but this experience was too disappointing not to share. I went to New Hoa Dang Vegetarian Restaurant today with my mom, and unfortunately she ended up with food poisoning after eating there. That alone is serious and concerning. We ordered the fried mushrooms, which were actually the best dish we had it was crispy and flavorful is even why they are worthy of this one star. The Bun Cha Hanoi was edible, though nothing special. But the Mi Quang was honestly the worst dish of the entire meal. As someone who loves Vietnamese food and especially Mi Quang being one of my top favorite dishes, this was extremely disappointing. The noodles were mushy, the bowl was filled with broth like a soup (which anyone who knows Mi Quang understands it is not supposed to be), and to top it off, it was completely bland. What made the experience worse was the response. I politely let them know, simply so they could improve. They didn’t acknowledge it at all. The server was also rude, which added to the frustration. Overall, it was a no from me. Between the food quality, the lack of accountability, and the service, I would genuinely say: eat at your own risk.
So disappointed in my experience here!! I was very excited to have my vegan friend try this place so I invited her to dinner with her 9 month old baby. Upon arrival we noticed they had signs saying baby strollers weren’t allowed, we asked about this and were told we couldn’t come in and if we wanted service we had to sit outside in the patio. This is was the first red flag as we had a baby not a dog! But since weather was pleasant we agreed. I asked for water and the server brought back my water with some nasty black stuff swimming around and when I told my server, he looked annoyed gave me no apology and just took my cup. Our food was mediocre we ordered chow fun, our least favorite dish, fried rice, fries, and a sampler appetizer which also was not our favorite. Our server never once came to our table during our dinner to ask how everything was or even just to acknowledge us, it wasn’t until the end of our meal when someone other than our server rudely slammed the bill on our table and said “can you pay now we’re closing”. As if things couldn’t get worst when I went to go pay, the server started yelling that my friend still had to pay her half of the bill and that he couldn’t wait on her to pay which i responded what are you talking about i have both payments right here I just paid her half she can’t come bc she has the baby and he looked at me with a sorry face but still offered no apology for assuming and continued to charge me. I still regret leaving a tip but I myself am a server so I felt like I needed to tip but it definitely wasn’t well deserved. The food being so so and the service terrible is not a good combo if you want returning clients. Definitely taking this place off the list.
