The Best BBQ I’ve Ever Tried in San Luis Obispo If you ever find yourself driving through San Luis Obispo, do yourself a favor and make a stop for some of the best BBQ you’ll ever taste. I’m not exaggerating — this was hands-down the best BBQ I’ve ever tried. The portions were unbelievable. You don’t just get a meal… you get a feast. Every plate came stacked with enough food to make you wonder if they confused your order with a whole family’s — in the best possible way. And the flavor? Absolutely incredible. Tender, smoky, perfectly seasoned, and packed with that authentic BBQ taste that keeps you thinking about it long after the meal is over. Whether you’re a BBQ fan or just someone passing through and looking for a memorable meal, I definitely recommend stopping here. San Luis Obispo has plenty of great spots, but this BBQ place stands out as something special.

This was my first time eating at Rib Line and I will definitely be going back! Letty was a fantastic server and super attentive to giving us refills, to-go boxes, and answering all of our questions. I enjoyed trying the famous tri-tip sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. It was such a filling and delicious meal. I look forward to going back soon.

We have been married for 1 year …. This was our anniversary date night!! Dawson was our server … SUPER HELPFUL!! Irvin was the cashier, he made excellent recommendations, GREAT PERSONALITY!! Carly was our chef, girl.. YOU CAN COOK!! We got Careot cake and the Ali classic Tri-Tip ,bbq chicken, baked potatoes…. Etc AMAZING FOOD Thank you FOR MAKING TONIGHT SPECIAL!!

Ribline catered my daughter's wedding in May at Almond Springs. Krystal was extremely helpful in planning the dinner as well as lunch for the wedding party & immediate family. The food, both for lunch and dinner, was amazingly delicious! The grazing table was beautiful and they grilled the chicken and beef onsite and while both were delicious, the chicken was so juicy & tender, just amazing! The sides were extremely delicious. There was more than enough food. I'd also like to give a shout out to the servers. They were extremely helpful in setting up, serving and cleaning up, they just made my daughter's day even more special. I would highly recommend them for any catering event.

5 dollar tri tip sandwiches!!! They are sooooooooooo gooood!! And for 5 dollars more you can get a side and a drink!! Family of 4 fed for about 40 dollars. SUPER YUMMY!!!

As a picky eater it’s hard for me to order somewhere without feeling judged and dang these guys are awesome. My food was right, served hot. EXACTLY how I ordered it. 10/10 recommend. Ps try the carrot cake! No frills all flavor.

Ribline is hands-down one of my favorite local spots when I’m craving real comfort barbecue. My go-to combo every single time is their beef ribs with the mac & cheese and cornbread, it’s genuinely the perfect trio. The ribs are rich and tender, the mac is creamy in that “you’ll keep stealing bites” way, and the cornbread ties it all together with that warm, slightly sweet finish. The staff makes the experience even better. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and Krystal was especially awesome. It had been a while since my last visit since moving back, so she walked me through the menu, gave great recommendations. Even showed me the expansion of the eating area. You can tell they care about people having a good time there, not just getting orders out. No need to wait for Thursday’s farmers market to get something fresh and satisfying BBQ. Overall, Ribline delivers great food, solid portions, and real value. Feels good supporting a local small business, especially when there are so many big box places around that don’t come close on quality or value. Highly recommend.

Wow! Absolutely amazing! The mac and cheese was the best I've had. They had $1 tacos today and where else can you ever get $1 tacos? With amazing braised tri tip and there salsa verde goes perfect with them. Wish we had one of these in atsacadero. Service to the food 100 recommend.

We stopped in for a quick meal while visiting from out of town. The food was amazing, and the staff were very attentive. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Definitely a place to enjoy barbecue and tri-tip.

I had the lunch special , the beef rib is delicious. Every bite I took was amazing , the beans, coleslaw and the cornbread muffin Shoutout to Irvin. Also don’t forget to have the hand blended lemonades

The staff are beautiful people. From walking into the door to the second the food touches your hands they are warm and welcoming. They are more than willing to offer the bonus specials to people who haven’t even heard of the steals which speak volumes to how much they care. Quality food, quick service, and an awesome experience. I will come back the 27 miles everytime because they are worth it.

Can’t go wrong with Ribline. A local family-owned business that has been around forever. You might have tried their food at special events at Cal Poly, as they have a robust catering business. The restaurant is a great place for lunch or dinner. My favorite is the tri tip sandwich on a soft toasted French roll. The chili is also very good and the Beach balls are a unique, decadent salty, spicy, sweet potato treat. This also one of the few places in the county to get beef ribs. Lots of parking and indoor or outdoor seating.

Excellent food though I would like a little more bama sauce on the special I had today(the western sando). Love their peach tea and I always have to get some of their amazing chili. Service is good and friendly and the atmosphere is simple and relaxed.

I come in almost every Wednesday for their five dollar tri-tip sandwich and it is always an amazing experience. I’ve love this location and my family usually comes here whenever we’re in town. I’m always so grateful that the employees have the best attitudes and are quick to assist anyone waiting!

Love this spot. Came into slo to run errands and We got a lunch special with chicken and some sides. The Mac n cheese is bomb. Also the cheesecake dessert is so yummy! Hoping they open another spot up in north county!

The meat was chewy and only the crust was flavorful, the corn bread was fluffy and very pleasant, boys loved the fries as well, their BBQ sauce is really nice as well. The people behind the counters were pleasant and polite and the dining area was nicely presented and love the bench seating and tables.

I tried them a couple of months ago right after the clam festival, and the bbq ribs were so good, I loved them. My roommate got me gift cards for Christmas, I went back today and the ribs were crap. 1st ones were cook perfect, these today tasted like they were boiled/ baked first then bbq sauce added and bbq. Had too much salt and were way over cooked. So disappointed that I wasted my Christmas gift on them.
