I was told that chicken was cooked at the restaurant that was not so this chicken is cooked and catered from a different location. Chicken was small and a bit dry.

i went to get dinner for my wife and I and of all things. They had No Chicken ready and ask me to wait for 20 minutes if I wanted Chicken. They said it's been busy and no Chicken was available. What kink of Management is running this place that they run out of the main product. Unbelivable, good food horrible management. Very disappointed.

Always rude horrible customer service and they are always so messy with the preparation of the food.

1st of all, no one spoke English. It was difficult to place our order. The tostadas were mostly lettuce with very little beans and less than a teaspoon of what looked like diced chicken. The chicken quesadilla was mostly cheese. I've never had such poor quality food. Terrible at best! 😕

Got beans mixed with Mac and cheese which was a first for me. I ended up getting an incomplete order as well. I ordered 2 pc damn got one breast only🤦🏾‍♂️

I give this place a zero because my whole family got food poisoning from here and corporate did nothing I had the receipt and never got a response I spent 60$ on 💩 food a year goes by we decided to get some salads from here instead of getting the family bundle still spent 50$ and got half assed the entire order! We called to get it replaced and the guy was really nice and offered us a replacement! We went in today September 12. 2025 and the manager on staff, she was so rude and asked for my receipt and I looked to see if I might have it but I didn’t and the other manager Who offered to replace it didn’t ask us to keep our receipt so we told her that and she just gave me a shitty look And just walk to the back and said let me look I didn’t ask for my name. She was just being rude the whole time for no reason I was very nice and understanding and then she comes back 10 minutes later from the back. I’m guessing she was expecting us to leave and starts making the order and all the people that work. There are just standing around looking at the people in line. Nobody’s getting helped. It was just ridiculous. This place needs to either be shut down or managed by somebody who honestly knows how to run a restaurant. I work in the restaurant industry and never would I treat my guest like this. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. This is why it’s so long and corporate needs to reach out because this is bullshit. Please don’t go to this location. You’re wasting your money and time.

If I could give it a zero star I would Horrible customer service! We placed an order at 8:19pm got there at 8:25pm like it said and they couldn’t find our order. It took over an hour for them to “make our food” just for them to tell us that someone erased it on the monitor and the bag was sitting on the counter. Thinking everything was already sealed in the bag and they got the order correct, it was my mistake to not double check because when it was time to eat the double chicken tostada was not correct and we were missing an order!!! Not only that but because our order was not freshly made again after waiting for more than 20min our food was cold! We had to toss the tostada because there was beans in it amongst other toppings that we asked to not include but the beans is seriously what we specifically requested to not have as we are allergic. Such a disappointment at this location!

Honestly, this is the worst Pollo Loco. You could go to. I’ve been here so many times and every time I go there, they always forget something. I had called them earlier and one of the guys pretended to be the manager, as if I don’t know who she is. I don’t recommend this location at all. They need better workers. And I get it if they were busy, but literally they weren’t.

When I stopped by for lunch today I forgot my coupon. As a result, I asked the manager for a coupon and he was aggravated, rude and told me he wasn't supposed to give them to customers.?. Very disappointing, because they've never had a problem providing them in the past and El Pollo Loco has been one of our favorite restaurants, but I won't support a business who treats people poorly. Boudin's down the street was a great alternative with good food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Must be under a new Manager. Order a classic tostada bowl. With Shrimp. Got 5 salty shrimp, a shorter burnt tosdada bowl, table spoon of rice and a table spoon of beans and a bunch of lettuce. Then they tried to charge $.59 a piece for there green salsa. Plus poir service. They just lost a customer.

I came in on Sunday 7/21 at about 4:30 pm and ordered a 3 piece meal. After about 15 minutes waiting for my order, I spoke to the manager and asked how much longer is the order going to take. He looked over to the grill and said they haven't started cooking the chicken yet and that it would be another 10 minutes. I said ok that's fine and when I had to check again 10 minutes later, the order was still not finished so I asked one more time if it was ready. He gave me me some attitude that they were busy but I could clearly see about six workers just standing around just talking to each other. They had already put my rice and beans in a plate for 20 minutes and when the order was finally finished; it was cold and tasted bad. This Pollo Loco is the worst in the area and I have NEVER experienced anything like this store in all of North County. I have already sent a complaint to the corporate office as this is unacceptable in any restaurant. Please avoid going here if you like good food and service!

This is the worst restaurant ever, they can never put an order together properly, always missing something! This week I ordered a 3 pieces meals pay for it and when I got home I found that they put only 2 pieces 🤬 Name of girl on window is Griselda. So be careful if you go to this place, check you order before you leave or you'll be disappointed
