First time at Tony's Pizza. Had to have a slice of Cheese Pizza. Had them add crushed pepper, parmesan cheese, an a touch of garlic salt. It was very good. Good cheese, and sauce. Thin crust, perfectly crunchy. Since the heat up your slice in the big oven. And it was under $3! Family owned and operated. Super friendly. Easy parking. Menu looked good. Pizza, sandwiches, and pasta. I'll be back to try Tony's Special Sandwich.
Pizza is AMAZING and the staff was super friendly.
It's Tony's. It's not New York but they don't say they are and it's Tony's style. Antipasto salad was in chunks of lettuce. Should have been cut smaller because I had to cut the chunks. Food was great though.
Though my memory of Tony's Is a bit faded, I remember I used to come here all the time as a kiddo in the 80s and 90s, Especially when I was attending SMHS. The food was all right, Not sure if it was tony, But the two dudes Behind the counter were pretty cool, But the atmosphere was magical. They used to have a couple arcade Cabinets I spent many quarters on.
Great little pizza place with fast lunch service. Pizza was good, price was right, and the store is clean. They accidentally overcharged me by $0.50, which they realized when they gave me my slices, and immediately offered a cash refund. No need since they deserved that as additional tip.
This place is a delicious classic and I have been coming here since I was born. The crust is the perfect thickness between thick and thin. I can't recommend this place enough. Great prices, pizza, and cool staff. The owner is a really good guy. Perfect family owned small pizza business. 10/10 highly recommended!
Pretty good pizza for california. Pillowy, thick dough and high-quality ingredients. Also, they have a parking lot. Mushroom pizza was excellent and they weren't stingy with the mushrooms.
Great, authentic NY Pizza! Family owned and a San Marino tradition. Sneaking off campus to grab a student special for lunch is practically an SMHS right-of-passage! Good food and good people, best slice in town.
Authentic NY style pizza, and this is saying a lot coming from someone originally from NJ! Ended up having six slices total because it was that good. Felt like I was back in Jersey. Can’t recommend this place enough, do yourself a favor and go if you’re in the area!
I love this place, I moved from Brooklyn, New York to California many years ago, I missed there Pizza so much. When I found Tonys Pizza, my family was so happy to find good New York Style Pizza. So many places here claim to have NY style Pizza but not even close, Tonys don't lie, it truely is the best around.
I'm from just outside Chicago, and I love a good pizza. I tried Tony's with my friends, it was delicious! It was thin crust that was perfect in texture and taste. The seasoning was so good. Go try it yourself and taste good pizza!
Their food is so delicious and their place is very clean. The owner and the staff are so friendly.
My family loves grabbing food from here, especially my 13 year old. I'm sure once he starts SMHS, he'll be stopping by more often. The pepperoni pizza is a perfect ratio of sauce and cheese. Meatball sandwiches are delicious and big. We definitely recommend stopping by.
New owners are finding their groove. Much better than the first time I visited, and you can tell they genuinely care about carrying the legacy forward - not maximizing profits
Something about how the pizza is baked/cooked. Crust has this flavor only small pizza places have (non chain owned). Been here 3 times in 3 or 4 years. Never disappoints.
We arrived near closing after a nightmare experience somewhere else which we left without eating. They were so friendly and nice to us, the food was served hot and fast. The pizza sauce is amazing delicious, just a peaceful nice evening after another place just ruined our night. So glad we stopped there to eat. We will be back.
I’ve been coming to Tony’s Pizza for as long as I can remember. Growing up, nothing beat the student special with a slushie—those are core childhood memories for me. I always thought the same Sicilian family would run Tony’s forever, passing it down through the generations. So when I found out there were new owners, I’ll admit I was nervous. But to my relief, it’s still Tony’s pizza! The taste, the atmosphere, the comfort—it all brought me back. That being said, I have to mention one small (but big to me) detail: the onions. My go-to has always been sausage and onion, and Tony’s was special because of how they cut them—thin, long, stringy slices that caramelized perfectly in the oven. The new cut is different—chopped longer, thinner pieces—which just doesn’t hit the same. It might sound silly, but for me, that little detail made their pizza stand out from anywhere else. One friendly suggestion for the new owners: please don’t swap out the original ingredients for other brands. The magic of Tony’s is in the flavor that’s been consistent for decades. Don’t change that! All in all, I’m so glad Tony’s is still here and still delicious. Change is part of life, but the heart of Tony’s pizza lives on.
Excellent pizza, the Sicilian deep dish is absolutely incredible and a terrific value!! Wait for it. There is no viable online ordering system. Just call and pick it up, like in the old days.
Tony's Pizza supported my mom's art exhibit this afternoon. All of the guests were surprised with these thin crust pizzas, not just they were delicious but healthier than the thick crust. Thank you Lily for your support for local events.
45 years in business, you have to be doing something right! Great quick lunch spot. Two large slices and a soda for $7 dollars! Very nice people working here! Support this business!
I got a slice of cheese and a slice of bbq chicken, as you can see I devoured the cheese before I took the picture lol! The pizza was the 💣!! Thin crust and he reheats in the oven before he brings it to your table. Not only is the pizza great, this place is warm and inviting, Tony and his wife are so loving and sweet and they make sure you’re good! I can tell that their customers are reoccurring which says a lot about their food, service, and why they’ve been in business so many years. I came here on a whim and I’m so glad I did, thank you!!
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. I've been going to Tony's for years. It's the best Sicilian on the West Coast. Flavorful, fresh, and a while lot of crunch. The people there are always very nice, too.

If you are local or a traveler like me I would definitely give this place a try. Got a large pepperoni and bacon pizza. Great flavor crust and over all pizza. I would definitely be back.
WOW!!! The crusty pizza is superb! The toppings are fresh and delicious!Excellent customer service!!! 2 slices and a drink around $7.75 especially if your on a budget. TONYS PIZZA PLACE HAS GAINED A NEW CUSTOMER FOR LIFE 👍🏼
really nice and kind dude helped two hungry high school kids get a free pizza. Really good flavor, worth to stop by and try.
The workers are nice and funny. They got pretty good pizza too with some thin - ish but wide pizza slices. Only came here once and I think it might be my favorite local pizza spot.
Tony’s Pizza is not the same anymore, for all the best reasons! The pizza I remembered from high school was inedible cardboard. I have nostalgic memories of sitting in the red-and-green booths struggling to chew thru the stale crust on awkward first dates. The pizza now is so satisfying and a major improvement, with the same menu as before. I love the new crust texture. The pizza is not as greasy nor guilty as a NYC slice but would hold up well comparatively. I am sad to see the spate of negative reviews from people who seem attached more to the nostalgia of old Tony’s and fail to see the major improvements the new owners have made to entire operation. I walk in and it’s a breath of fresh air: extremely clean, gone are the days of the musty salad display and flour-covered floors. I visited recently to relive my high school days and left pleasantly impressed by delightful pizza.
After we moved to Alhambra, we needed a go-to pizza place for the family, and Tony's has become our favorite pizzeria. We have tried different toppings, and our favorites are BBQ chicken and pepperoni, so far. Staff is friendly and service is good.
Absolutely incredible place, so welcoming, has such fresh ingredients, and the atmosphere almost feel like you are in a dream world, customer service is great, ingredients taste fresh, homemade pizza?? An absolute must try if you come around here
Amazing pizza from a place that's been around for over 40 years. The crust is thin with a buttery taste that melts in your mouth. Great toppings too. Try it once and you'll be back.
Amazing pizza. The crust is very crispy but not hard 100% percent word recommend

One of the best pizzas we have tried and we've tried many. Staff is very friendly. Affordable prices as well. We spent $42 for 2 large pizzas, a salad big enough for 2 people, and a couple of sodas. We are a family of 5 and we ordered 2 large pizzas and had left overs because the slices are big. Their salad is very delicious as well. One of our favorite pizza restaurant.
Small hole in the wall with delicious rustic pizza. Tried the Tony's special for meat lovers and the margherite which had plenty of garlic and fresh basil. The staff was nice and laid back. Lot's of repeat costumers which knew them by name. This place felt like one where locals of all ages go. The wait wasn't bad. There were many to go orders while we were there.
New ownership and it’s not the same family atmosphere. We didn’t get that feeling we’ve gotten in the past that made you feel like you’re coming home for lunch/ dinner. It was mostly empty too. At least the food was good and the restaurant has better hours.

My children and I grew up with Tony's Pizza. They have the best pizzas, and their meatballs sandwich is amazing! Their service, though... are awful! I was hoping the younger generation would change it, but sadly, that didn't happen.
Food is not as good as before. Still not bad pizza. No longer hand tossed pizza and it shows. Pizza was still a little raw in the middle. Whole piece of tomato on my slice and little amount of cheese and pepperoni. Probably will not be coming back but good luck hope you guys figure it out.

I definitely don't understand the high rating this place has. The staff is friendly, no complaint. But the food is terrible. I truly don't understand it. I had 2 different pizza and both of them were just okay. The crust was good but the ingredients flavorless, definitely not like an Italian pizza. Even the garlic knots were tasteless. I definitely don't recommend this place, sorry
Good pizza. Workers are a mess tho need to work on their system
I wasn't sure if I was gonna write a review or not but since some time has passed I decided to after all. My wife was verbally abused out the door of Tony's pizza because of a mistake made on their part. I know Tony's has changed owners since my time going there as a kid in the 90s. Unfortunately, customer service has taken a massive hit. The new owners seem to have trouble dealing with a busy dining room and taking phone orders. I called to place an order and they seemed to think I was "canceling" my order at the end of the call. When my wife went into pick up the order they didn't have it. Instead of making a new one right away they wanted my wife to admit the mistake was ours before they'd make our order. After deciding that arguing with a worker wasn't gonna solve anything, my wife walked out but not before being verbally bashed in front of the staff and customers filling the dining room. I worked in a restaurant for years and I know (like any restaurant owner) if theres a mistake work to fix right away not do what Tony's did. A good employee would've apologized for the issue and made the order right away. My family will likely never go back and won't recommend it due to improperly trained staff in customer service.
When I walked in I felt something was different haven’t been their in a while. Chinese lady running the show and said to myself oh no looks like it has been sold maybe the pizza is the same. Brought it home and can only eat one and a half slices. Started looking online and it’s evident it has been sold. Yet maybe the new owners will go back to its roots . But now I’ll go my other pizza shops area that I can trust

Been eating here for 35 years. This time coming I could tell something wasn't right.Either way I got some pizzas and i can tell you right now that the pizza is NOT the same.Cheese, crust, toppings, sauce, everything is different. The pizza now is not like what is was before at all. Quality has gone down by a landslide I dont think I'll be coming here anymore. To me this is NOT Tony's Pizza anymore.
We enjoyed the foods for ten years; its unique flavor was unmatched by any other pizzeria. But recently, the taste has completely changed. Even more shocking is that just two slices cost $10.84. The previous owners took away the delicious memories with them when they left. We will never come back.
New owners , pizza is super thin and tastless now , cheap ingredients lacking flavor and spice like original recipes. You can raise prices but keep quality the same , you dont keep prices the same but lower the quality. If this is your first time owning a restaurant I don't suggest this is how you start.
Well, I’m gonna give a real review. I’ve been coming here since I was five years old. The pizza was great. They just changed ownership. Not the same people anymore they have no idea what they’re doing. I ordered a pizza paid for it waited 30 minutes and they never even put it in the oven I asked for a refund they said OK did you pay cash? I said yes and then they asked the employees did he pay cash cause they couldn’t find my receipt so I looked at them and said you guys are calling me a liar literally my heart is broken change of ownership. I loved the Italian guys
Used to go here all the time because it was good value but why bother paying for these prices any more. $18 for a medium pizza. Come on...
