We wanted to try another pho restaurant in Santee as we were running errands. Pho Ca Dao hit the spot for a bowl of customized pho. We sat at a table by the bar by the front entrance and waitstaff took our orders quickly. There was a steady flow of customers coming in to eat or to pick up orders. It appeared that the restaurant got one to go order wrong and the poor customer had to wait for his order over 15 minutes long. He got an apology from the waitstaff but with no compensation. Pho was standard, decent and filling and service was quick. We will probably not visit this restaurant again as the soup base was somewhat bland.

Unfortunately, there was miscommunication between staff & I. I believe I ate some form of animal-based product that made me sick later that night. Apart from that, the food was okay. I ordered Tofu Pho with vegetable broth & Crispy Tofu as an appetizer. I wasn't too impressed, but I was hungry. The broth was bland for me. Even tho they were close to their end of the day, the place was clean & customer service was okay. I asked my friend what she thought of her House Special Pho. She said it was okay. I don't recommend this place if you don't eat meat. There are probably better options nearby.

There was a severe lack of coordination among the staff. Multiple orders were going to the wrong table, including ours, one of which was late. Our waitress was nice and so was the gentleman who seated us. However, there was a lady that seemed like management who was rude to the employees and rude to us. Service got so out of hand that the next lady on shift, I'm assuming another manager, seemed to be doing damage control.

Service and staff are wonderful but the food I had House special pho and the soup smell did not test like pho and noodles more then soup.

Time to update my review. Wow! We went today remembering how good the food was and it sure wasn't the case! They must have new owners because instead of getting seated we got dirty looks from the staff as if we were supposed to know what to do after we first walked in. It was really awkward, even my daughter was uncomfortable. When we got our bowls there was no space for the noodles to expand since they changed the type/size of the bowl; let alone have any juice and only 2 pieces of meat. It had no flavor, as if it was only oiled noodle juice. During our lunch not two words were said to us, not hello or goodbye. They just seated us and I even had to hunt down the waiter to give us our check. I found him outside of the restaurant, sitting on the cement bench counting his tips. All I can say is we won't be back. A Little Spot In Santee This place is right on the corner of a small strip mall. It gives good portion sizes, and extremely quick and good food service. We've become regulars. The parking can be a little troublesome, because it's in a small strip mall. But, otherwise, don't hesitate to try a meal.

Disappointed to have to give this restaurant a negative review since I have been eating here for years. Long story short my husband and I were ignored the majority of our meal by our waiter and person who seemed to be in charge had zero service recovery skills. We will not be wasting our money here again.

Went last night for dinner. Was told there would be a 20 minute wait for a table. They had plenty of empty tables. We asked if we could wait at the bar & get a drink. Waiter was rude & uninterested. Waitress at the bar had to ask if it was ok for us to sit at bar& wait. No one seemed interested in taking our drink order at the bar. When they finally did, we were told that the fountain drink station was not working & the only thing available to drink was water. We left & won’t be back,

Do not order here they over charge! If you are given a green menu that's the old one with pictures and prices. The price is completely different from the black menu. We brought this to the attention of the owner and she insisted it's used for pictures only, but didn't tell us that when we ordered from the green menu in front of her. She would not adjust the price. We also told her that's misinformation and they should put on there for "pictures only" and scratch out the prices. She just put it right back on the counter where others were ordering from.

This place has gone downhill quick. It used to be our go to for pho but never again. I received my order and it was missing all the pho toppings. No basil, no jalapeños, no bean sprouts, no limes, no hoisin or sriracha. First off, they DO NOT answer their phone. I tried calling a few times because I wanted to confirm my order with uncooked noodles. No answer. I called again a few times because I ordered at 5:20pm and it was over an hour and 1/2 and still not received. Then tried again when I noticed missing items. I called over and over until someone finally picked up. This took about 30mins. I explained that we are missing items and they said "oh we forgot to pack it with your order" then silence on the other line. So I had to ask what they will do about it and the response was "we don't have a driver so if you want to you can pick it up" I told them I can't that's why I ordered delivery and I am under the weather and wanted to have pho to feel better. She said "sorry" and I asked " is there anything else you can do? I just spent $150 for dinner that isn't everything I ordered". She "asked her manager" and repeated again that if I wanted to pick it up I could. Just terrible service. They have lost another customer.

Food is great and we love eating from here but there have been MULTIPLE times when we call ahead for food or order it online and they just forget to make the order creating quite the hassle when getting it. A couple of these times my partner has gone in to get the pre-ordered food and received very rude and slow service when they are the ones to mess up. Finally right now they just got home from a late shift at work and wanted some Pho. I order it at 8 and the order doesn't get finished until 9:16PM AFTER they close and AFTER i complain to Postmates that the food is too late and they have waved off 3 drivers. The fact this keeps happening is very disheartening and I don't know if I want to keep giving them my business.

This used to be my favorite pho spot, however, there seems to be a change in management and they have a completely new crew of servers and front desk workers that do not offer great service like they used to. We used to be able to make orders through the phone and now the calls seem to be ignored as no one answers. We decided to dine in and I used to be immediately greeted by the workers. This time the new front desk worker made eye contact and walked away before walking back to ask if we wanted to order to go or dine in. Decided to let it go and she told us to sit at a table. The floor at that table was trashed with food leftovers that no one bothered to sweep up and our shoes were getting food on them which just felt unhygienic. We waited about 10-15 minutes and the same front worker made eye contact with me several times and didn’t even offer us a menu and no one attended to us. We decided to leave as we were hungry and preferred quicker service and the front desk lady said bye which was the icing on the cake after being ignored the whole time. I will no longer recommend this place or be stopping by.

I used to love this place, unfortunately not anymore. Service went down hill. The afternoon crew always has an attitude, and if you're planning on doing a phone order please forget it, workers ignore all the phone calls.

Honestly this is my favorite pho restaurant. I am giving it a one star not because of the food, but because of the front desk service. The phone line is frequently unavailable. I had to order through door dash pickup to even place an order. Which quoted me 15 minute wait time. It is now an hour later and still have not received an update. People have come to the restaurant, ordered to go and been able to receive their items before me. I am having a hard time even confirming the restaurant has my order. Frustrating to say the least. Total wait time for a pick was an hour and a half before the guy at the front desk finally confirmed they never got the order. I had to call DoorDash for a refund from the restaurant and cancelled my order. Waste of my time.

Ordered through Uber eats and I was quite disappointing. It only allows me to post 1 picture but meat was so hard and all fat that I wasn't able to eat it. Very chewey. The chicken from the Chicken pho was also very hard. Chicken Pho didn't have any flavor.
