The atmosphere and service were great! The Korean Cauliflower and Fish were awesome. However, the kid's Mac and cheese had too much butter and therefore became lumpy and grainy. The black bean burger was ok, but the binding was lacking and it fell apart very easily. The menu was on point and had a ton of different options. I would highly recommend this place as it had lots of seating options and awesome vibes.

My wife and I have been here a few times and it has become our go to place in Sonoma! We came here for my birthday and they didn’t disappoint! Great food, great people and great atmosphere! They frequently have live music on the weekends too! Just an all around amazing Brew Pub! Price is right in line with all others.

This HopMonk location is a favorite. Service is always excellent and helpful. This afternoon I had the Ruben sandwich. Thinly sliced pastrami on toasted rye bread with sauerkraut and a special house-made sauce that was nicely balanced with a fresh, crisp dill pickle. To swish all these flavors together, I had a seasonal cocktail to drink. “Drunken Punch” made with bourbon and fresh pumpkin purée. Wow! It was yummy and I’m not a fan of pumpkin latte or pumpkin cookies. It wasn’t too sweet, just very flavorful. For dessert I had the bread pudding with an Irish Coffee made with bourbon and fresh whipped cream. Very satisfying! While Sonoma has bars and pubs, this HopMonk is the best in town. I recommend sitting outside on the deck or in the garden patio, especially on a sunny day. Plenty of parking, easy to walk to from the historic plaza. Families are welcome and that includes the canine member of the family.

This place is packed for lunch on a Monday. Outdoor patio is amazing with relaxing fountains and plenty of shade. Service and food both top notch. Don’t think there’s a better option for lunch at any price point when going through Sonoma on a weekday afternoon.

My husband and I stopped here for during our first night in Sonoma. We split the French Dip and the tomato soup. Both were excellent. They have really nice outdoor seating.

Very nice patio and outdoor area. The pickle fries were far more batter than pickle. The lunch special burrito was good, the burger was a little dry.

We had been there in a night with almost no wind, so sit outside was very good. I ordered handmade pasta and Shirley Temple. My husband preferred one of Oktoberfest specials (although tasty, it was missing little moisture, maybe little more mustard?), beer and fries (would be good have them already siding sandwiches). The staff was fast and helpful.

Hop Monk has been in Sonoma for some time now. When they first opened, it was wildly popular. Since I just came back to town, I had a nice meal of a Chicken-Naan Bread Sandwich and a Side Salad. Two shots of whiskey, and a great IPA. Personally, was a happy camper recovering after a long road trip. The food is good but not amazing. Prices are so high now, I have trouble equating the value of cost for what you get. Service was very, very good. Atmosphere is lacking, but that's just me. Still worth going to, for sure.

What a nice find off the main tourist trap area. GREAT burger and the garlic fries were awesome. About an 8-10 minute walk from sonoma common.

Food is quite good (salmon, 4 taco combo, sweet waffle fries) but service can be slow. Some waiters are not as attentive compared to those in other restaurants. Especially when it came to refills of drinks.

Large and spacious. Sat outside and ordered the 4 pack taco. 2 fish and 2 pork. Also had a draft HopMonk IPA. The fish tacos are the same as the fish and chips menu item. Just smaller. The fish tacos were good. The pork tacos were dry and could have used some sauce to kick em up a notch. The beer was refreshing. It would be nice if you had the option to have all fish tacos. I say check it out.

Good fries, cold water. Personal opinion warning ⚠️: The smash Burger had no flavor, everything tasted gooey to me as the onions had minimal texture. Lastly the patties was not "smashed" I could tell it was smash and or didn't have something pressing down on it long enough. It lacked the best parts, the crispy edges. Wings Fire! Mozzarella Stick EPIC! I'll just have to try another main dish next time. Good service too, wasn't busy a food was decently quick. Apps served pretty fast too.

What happened?? The tacos were dried out and lukewarm at best. Saturday night should not be an excuse for poor service, but the server got the drink orders half right. Too many options in sonoma, sorry to see the decline at Hop Monk

The outside seating of this place was pretty near perfect. Had a nice glass of wine here and enjoyed their sweet potato soup. Got a decent salad. Servers and staff were very nice to our party. Good experience but if you enjoy a nice meal outside this a great stop.
