Amazing quality, Amazing Service, decently affordable, would go again or something oder out for a date
Delicious food for reasonable prices. The golden bau is something special.
Very impressed! Got the garlic noodles no meat. Was perfect, lots of garlic, lots of flavor. Thai tea was just right, super strong, sweet, and they used a good cream base. The girl at the front was very quick and attentive. Great spot will definitely return! Highly recommended.
Super delicious! The only complaint was my popcorn chicken pieces were smaller than average size and I didn’t get a lot for the price I paid. But weirdly that was the only issue because the garlic noodles and fries were good.
The people here are great. Camilla was the best. She is very friendly with an awesome personality. The food was very good! We had garlic noodles w/shrimp, garlic fries, wings and the sliders. I will definitely be going back there!
Really good food ! Never had garlic noodles before and my wife told me about this place and it is now one of our favorites! I have had the garlic noodles, sliders, and sanwhich which were all really good and full of flavor. Definitely worth the money at least for me it is I’ll gladly pay a bit extra for quality food and Nguyens kitchen definitely delivers.
We got steak Bulgogi and shrimp garlic noodle and chicken bahn mi. Garlic noodles are really good..the bulgogi was flavorful and tender, shrimp was cooked nice. The bahn mi doesn’t have Mayo or sauce on it which I was skeptical about but it’s still a 7/10…BUT ask for the bk sauce and the green sauce and add it to bites now it’s a 10/10. Service was fast. The cashier was just kinda cold in attitude but the food is enough to bring me back
I had the Pork Bulgogi rice bowl and shared the popcorn chicken, both were very delicious! Also tried the peach lychee tea and I liked that it wasn't overly sweet and I could actually taste the tea! Definitely would go back since I didn't even know it existed. I wonder if there are any locations closer to Torrance 🤔 Edit: forgot to mention that the sauce was bomb, I'd buy that at a store if they had it.
It was an all the way around great experience! Food was very flavorful and filling! If you are are a Garlic person like myself, you will absolutely enjoy all the different ways they have incorporated the Garlic. We had Garlic noodles with shrimp, steak and egg! Cajun fries with steak and egg! Wings! Definitely will return.
This was our first stop in LA after a friend recommended it to us. We weren't staying in LA and it was on our way from the airport to San Bernardino. We got the Bulgogi Short Rib Steak Sandwich (Banh Mi), Garlic Noodles with Grilled Pork, Popcorn Chicken, Egg Rolls, and Golden Bao. We really loved our meal. My favorites were the two small things - the Golden Bao and the Egg Rolls. The Golden Bao were slightly sweet from being fried and it was perfect. The egg rolls were not what you would usually find at your takeout Chinese restaurant and I think they're the best I've had. I also enjoyed the Garlic Noodles and Popcorn Chicken. The grilled pork was my favorite meat we tried. The popcorn chicken was very moist and we loved the sauce. I was a little disappointed by the banh mi. It was good, but it didn't live up to my favorite banh mi sandwiches. The bread wasn't crispy enough and the pickled veggies had a little too much liquid. This was the perfect first stop on our trip and I'd definitely recommend it!
Love the food and friendly service. Good size portions and very tasty. Unfortunately was too full to try the Pur Bowls. Plus they open late. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area again. Please open a location in Boston.
My wife went with her sister and mom about weeks ago. She brought home garlic noodles and garlic noodles with steak. I was too full when she got home so later in the day I tried the steak with garlic noodles...WOW it was good. So I couldn't wait till we got food from there. Today...06-11-2022 after my nephews graduation, my wife and my kids drove there (only about 5 miles compared to 12-ish miles if driving from home). We got 2 orders of garlic fries, 2 orders of garlic noodles with steak, 1 order of garlic noodles and 2 plain sliders. They gave us some sauces. The brownish was good with the garlic noodles with steak. The greenish not sure did not use it..sort of a little spicy with a sweet taste (Wasabi with mayo?) Also gave us ranch dressing (for garlic fries?) And Sriracha packages and tomato ketchup. **the 2 plain sliders (no onions no mushrooms)...I asked for cheese (they don't have cheese). Well my picky daughter (19 yr.old) didn't like they sprinkled green stuff and then it had a white looking sauce (looks like mayo). But over all. ALL the food was great...coma effect...especially since by the time I write this it's 11:47 pm. Oh...fyi...they are open till 1 am... By the time I wrote this..my son and I were done with the garlic+steak noodles and my wife was done with the garlic noodles..so maybe next time I'll take a picture of that.
First time coming and I really enjoyed my meal. The fry wings were good, salty and flavorful. The chicken sandwich was delicious. The sauce gives it a nice flavor. I definitely will be coming back.
If you’re looking for Asian food in South Gate Nguyen’s Kitchen will for sure be your new to go spot. They are open late night; closes at 1 am. The ambiance is relaxing during early in the day ( seems it gets popular more at night) Their chicken sandwich is flavorful, warm, and soft. Also, their bulgogi and steak bowl is filling. It was delicious. I will keep coming back to try the rest of the food in their menu. One more thing, the mango green tea in my opinion is their best drink.
The food was absolutely amazing. Flavor and portions were off the charts. We definitely recommend and plan to come back for sure.
Came in for a late bite after a night out and found out this place is open late... I had a great experience coming here, I have tried the nk chicken wings and garlic noodles. chicken wings are perfectly crispy and flavorful pair it with the house sauce and you got some 🔥. Garlic noodles are equally good, thin noodles but very evenly cooked in garlic, that sauce tho does go good with I would say everything... should have taken more pictures but it's a definitely recommendation for late night Asian food...
My wife and I thought we’d try this place out. It’s marketed as Asian Fusion, but I’d just call it good food. Employee that’s helped us was very friendly and courteous. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nicely done with quite the impressive mural on the wall. My wife got the garlic noodles and I ate the sandwich Bulgogi Short Rib Steak with bulgogi sauce, onion, cucumber, cilantro, and pickled carrots. The sandwich while not very big in size is packed with deliciousness. In my opinion though the pickled carrots have soooo much flavor I’d like to see a tad more in the sandwich and not just sitting on top to fall out. The few bites I got with the meat and carrots together was really good. I will return and I can confidently recommend this restaurant for you to give it a try. Happy to see different types of restaurants now popping up in the area I live.

Delicious food for a great price! Portions are great enough to share, drinks were refreshing as well. Definitely returning soon!
I'll be honest without any bullshit , the place is really good, but I'll give it a 4.5 rating because, with the arsenal of products they have, they should be offering breakfast. Unfortunately, it's not on the menu, but the lunch and dinner options are simply impressive.
Love that I found this place. It's open hella late & the steak bowl is incredible. I stop by at least twice a month. Staff is friendly & bathrooms are always clean. Hope they are around for a long time.

The marinated chicken was very tasty. We had the chicken bowl which was good, but the portion was a bit small. The Chicken Sandwich was good also, but again it was a small portion. The popcorn chicken wasn't too good and it was chicken thigh. The garlic Cajun fries were really good and the portion was big for those. The employees there were all great. The seats inside are sturdy and heavy, they felt great. I like that there is a Pur Bowl in there too, so you can get a bowl to go after eating your meal.
Ambiance: I went midday for lunch, and it was pretty quiet inside. Decent amount of tables for dining in and the decor is so cute, kind of like a fancy cafeteria. Service: Great suggestions, fast service, and really nice! I had no issue and was confident in what I ordered with the cashiers help. Food: The bulgogi sandwich and the cucumber limeade we so good!!! The sandwich was filling, tons of flavor and even tasted good warmed up the next day! I wasn't a fan of the garlic fries, though, lots of garlic, but oddly, no flavor. So garlic breath for nothing, lol. Also all the sauces were really good, I have no idea what there were but I liked them all.
A fast food type of restaurant. Asian/Vietnamese fusion. You order at the counter and they call when your food is ready. I tried the garlic noodles with bulgogi beef and added egg. It was tasty. I will come back to try other items on the menu!
A distinctive Asian Cuisine, garlic noodles are my favorite make sure you add a protein of choice with them. Place is kinda of a modernized fast food place could be better to help make the place more sociable. You like Asian Foods must try...

Overall: - clean food - decent quality to be honest -- Meats, veggies -- the garlic noodles were of a pretty decent quality too - place is clean - price is not too bad given our current economic situation and it is on par with most other similar restaurants Why minus 1 star? - bulgogi felt almost paper thin -- not an adequate amount/portion at that point to be honest - I wasn't too too hungry when I met up with some friends and after getting a bulgogi bowl and spending $20 (bowl plus soda) I was still hungry. 3 out of people still were. So if you're looking for a fairly flavorful light meal this is honestly a good choice.
Came here after work because I was too tired to cook lol. Food was actually pretty good, didn’t expect much. Staff were chill. Music a bit loud but not a big deal.

Very expensive. $55 for 2 people. Sliders were from frozen meat pucks and chicken was mid grade. They love garlic and cilantro so they go heavy on them.. also there signature flavor is something to have a taste fir.. not high on my recommendations list.
The food is like eating at Yoshinoya except for more expensive and a little more tasty. The service was good and friendly. Big plus that it's open hella-late. However, be careful to chew your food well. I found a super sharp object in my short rib rice bowl that looked like a piranha's shazor sharp tooth. Refer to the picture for details.
The beef bulgogi sandwich was very low quality, skin still on the cucumber, over abundance of cilantro and carrots. The beef was no good either. Vietnamese iced coffee was mid to ok but overall I’m not coming here anymore.
Nguyen’s Kitchen is located in a small plaza with other Asian restaurants and sandwich shops, making it a convenient stop if you are already in the area. We ordered the grilled pork banh mi and the grilled pork rice bowl. The sandwich had a few positives and a few misses. The bread was toasted and soft, which made it easy to eat without tearing up your mouth, but it lacked the crisp outer crust that I personally enjoy in a banh mi. The cucumbers were fresh, and the pork was well marinated, but the pickled vegetables were lighter than expected and did not provide enough acidity. Overall, it did not quite hit that classic Vietnamese banh mi flavor profile. The rice bowl was more disappointing. The pork itself was fine, but the rice was noticeably dry, which took away from the dish. Service was also on the slower side. While we were waiting, six out of six customers who came in after us ordered the PUR bowls, which makes me think those may be the items this place is better known for. Ambiance was just okay. There is indoor seating available, but the space feels designed for quick turnover, with hard surfaces and minimal cushioning rather than comfort. Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Nothing was terrible, but nothing stood out either. I would not say this is a place I would specifically crave
The garlic noodles were good 7/10 The shrimp was dry, felt like it was sitting there for a long time. The fresh was are made out of syrup. I only liked the noodle. Maybe if I come back again, I will try the steak with garlic noodles.

The bulgogi short rib sandwich I ordered was super salty. The cucumbers were soggy, the rest of the vegetables were fresh and crunchy, but overall my sandwich not very authentic or tasty. It didn't come with any sides. The cucumbers lemonade was good. But for $17, overpriced and disappointed. The gal ringing me up was not friendly, very aloof and kept laughing loudly at something she was watching on her phone. The music was very loud, difficult to have a conversation inside restaurant. I would not recommend this place.
After the price hike, I can no longer recommend this place. Everything went up $2-3 which is a huge increase. I drove 45 min to this location only to leave disappointed. $10 now for plain garlic noodles and the portion was cut in half or more. It filled a third of the container whereas they used to fill up the container and almost overflow. It’s one thing to increase it by $3 but to cut the portion too is not cool. Banh mi still good but not for $9..this used to be my favourite place to eat
First time trying this restaurant and it was eh. Overall the food wasn’t memorable. I love Vietnamese food and was very excited to try this place and after trying it. . . I don’t see myself coming back. I got the garlic noodles with chicken, bulgogi fries and pork sandwich (banh mi) and was not impressed. Paid around $42 for these three items/dishes.
No problems with the food. But I asked for a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, without ice, and only served half a cup of the drink. For a drink just under $6, I would expect to get a full cup of the beverage, not half. The employee in the register was nice enough to fill out the rest with cream, but I'm paying for the cup of coffee, not cream. Not the employees fault, they're just following weird rules. Even Starbucks serves a full cup of iced coffee when I ask for a cold brew without ice. Pretty scummy.

Disappointing Experience I unfortunately had a poor experience. I was largely ignored by the staff and had to wait an excessive amount of time for the second part of my delivery order. This is not the first time this has happened to me and the staff knows who I am especially the guy with glasses. When I finally asked about the status of the food they have made the food 20 minutes ago and forgot to call it out. They berated me on how next time I need to be more persistent. While I understand that mistakes can happen, the lack of attention and long wait time made for a frustrating experience. Hopefully, the restaurant will hire staff who are competent and don’t act like they’re doing you a favor that they showed up to work.
First time ordering from here. It was a little disappointing. I ordered craw fish pasta. The sauce was on the sweet side and you can taste the yogurt or cream they use in the sauce. It didn't have one whole craw fish, just little pieces here and there it's filled with sausage instead. It just wasn't good. Their popcorn chicken was okay though.
Garlic Steak Noodles came with more grilled onions than steak. Literally every bite was onion and no steak. Absolutely terrible. I tried the shrimp before and it was disgustingly dry and decided to try this. Instant regret never again will I come.
I went in with high hopes of having a good delicious meal. I ordered the garlic noodles and short ribs and it looked delicious but it was overly seasoned. The only thing that tasted good was the crunchy bao I ordered and my Diet Coke. Not coming back.
You know I do like the food. The chicken nuggets is delicious. But the customer service today is terrible. I've been calling the store for over an hour just to place an order on the phone and I could not get through. The lines was busy so I'm thinking Hey they're gonna be busy. I live 18 minutes away from your business. I had to get on the freeway to get all the way over here to get over here. I was calling the whole time the phone was busy over an hour when I get over here. There's nobody at your restaurant it's slow and your associate is on the phone. That's why your line was busy and that's why I could not place my order and then to get here and she has a bad attitude and the customer. Service is dry. I. Could? Not explain to her about everything that was going on with my order yesterday. So I just placed my order and waited and left as fast as possible. Terrible customer service especially when we have to drive so far to get your food and the lady that you guys have working today. At 3 PM has no customer service she doesn't even care. I wanted to order some noodles with rice and she act like. I was bothering her but okay
dont get the chicken garlic noodles...chicken was more like scraps of chicken parts left over. havent chewed so many fat and cartilage from a chicken meal before. couldnt eat the chicken half way. maybe a bad day.? also there was a small piece of packaging or something i chewed on that i spit out immediately, was something like a stringy plastic. get their shrimp! enjoyed the shrimp before.
My order was wrong , food was salty and very spicy. So first and last time ordering from this place.
I personally had higher expectations and was ultimately disappointed with how bland the food was.
First time coming here: the place was clean and has good ambiance. I ordered their garlic noodles with shrimp and unfortunately, I was disappointed. My noodles did not taste fresh, they tasted like they were sitting for a while because they were also stuck together and the shrimp was lacking flavor. I think this place puts a lot of thought in food presentation and not the actual recipe. The customer service was not that good either, the girls where chit chatting for a while before they offered assistance and the girl who took our order was rude. I did like the music they were playing which is why I gave it the extra star but I would not be back. Update (later in the night): my partner and I got sick and this place was the only thing we both ate. Be careful eating here! Removing the extra star.
