Simple menu, simple place. The drinks are espresso + things like basic milk, chocolate, chai tea etc.. Amazingly its a tiny shop where you can buy some pottery. Nothing big, and the place looks very minimalistic, but it's a good place for some coffee to start the day.
I live hundreds of miles away but always make an effort to come by for a drink when I'm in town starting when they first set up shop. Recent visit was as good as any and always fun to see the growth from the last time I was here. I'm really happy for the 2 kids that built such a great community spot
The Gotham coffee is excellent, and this is the only place you’ll find it in LA. We tried the polenta cake and it was excellent as well. Great service. Shoutout to Dylan. You won’t find a coffee shop with a more chill, creative vibe.
Good vibes here. Great atmosphere, tunes, and the coffee and food are top tier too. Great to have even more good choices for morning coffee in south pas.
Wow! Decided to try something different other than my usual coffee spots. I'm glad I did on this rainy day. I had the expresso with milk and chai. It was super delicious, and the service was excellent. I'll come back to try something different next time. Keep up the great work!!!!
Oh my! I wish i lived near this coffee shop. I had an iced latte. I generally do not like almond milk in my coffee/espresso. I really like oat milk. Asked if they had oat milk, they didn't, but offered me some house made almond milk. Before I could decline and ask for whole milk, the very nice barista poured me a small taster. It was absolutly delicious!! As I type this review, I want some of their almond milk now! The place is really cute, located in what appeared to be a current or past art gallery? Signage is not easily noticeable. From the outside, it looks like a small art gallery. I don't think they have any eats or noms though, FYI. Definitly going back there again soon.
Friendly local owners/baristas. Artisanal small batch homemade almond milk. Coffee from select roasters. Beautiful minimalist space. Great background soundtrack. If you’re a millennial hipster you’ll feel at home, but it’s a friendly vibe for everyone and a welcome addition to South Pas! Thanks Dana and Ryan for bringing it, and love the pop-ups!
My favorite Espresso in all of Pasadena area, maybe LA
Love their Coffee Soda. So good with the soft top! Wonderful service and kindest owners.
My favorite coffee spot in South Pasadena. The staff are awesome - the most welcoming and friendly service you'll find in town. The coffee is prepared with expertise and passion.
Significantly above average cold brew delivered at an optimal temperature. My friend said his espresso drink was excellent. The minimal aesthetic brought me joy.
Beautiful place! I love the environment and the service is really good! Highly recommend and definitely want to go there again! The price is acceptable and I didn't wait long at all until I was served. My favorite is their art and I hope I can place my art there too!
Cool South Pasadena spot with a seemingly intentional small and delicious menu, great coffee, excellent hip hop sounds, and cool minimalist atmosphere. This is no Starbucks--they have a handful of traditional coffee drinks and only house made almond milk as an alternative. No syrups or extras. It's nice to go back to basics.
Such a joy! This shop is truly special. The house made almond milk is outstanding. Every pastry I tried + the almond butter toast was delicious. I was visiting from out-of-state to record some music nearby and Heath (a barista) learned my name on day 1. I visited 3x during my trip, and everyday I was welcomed by name and served with such kindness and sincerity. I had to leave with some merch (love the aesthetic)! I’m looking forward to the next time I’m near Los Angeles. Absolute gem.
These lovely lovely people make absolutely delicious coffee and serve it with genuine smiles. Highly appreciate the homemade almond milk! I had an impromptu meeting here today with a colleague from out of town and we accidentally stayed 40 minutes past closing time (!!!) We felt soooo horrible even after they assured us they were still cleaning up..but really they were so kind and welcoming the entire time we were there. Support this local coffee shop, I know I will be from now on!
I decided to try the almond milk latte bc the cashier informed me they make their own almond milk. I don’t normally love almond milk, but I’m always down to try something new. It was so delicious. If almond milk everywhere tasted like this, I would be drinking it by the gallon. Also the staff were very kind and efficient!
The staff is very friendly. I have tried every coffee drink they make. The coffee never disappoints! It is a smooth cup that is not too bright. For someone looking for sweet syrups to flavor their coffee, this is not the place for you. The chai is good. I am looking forward to trying their selections of tea next.
What a warm and inviting environment! Love this place!!! The owners are there regularly and ALWAYS greet you with a smile. The neatness in their drink prep and presentation is impressive. The merch they have for sale is totally unique and look more like showpieces rather than items for sale. The bar section at the register is vibrant because you get to interact with the baristas easily! A great little section for social interaction. Overall, this place has a way of bringing people together in a way that most other coffee shops don't! Very highly recommended!!!
Trendy urban coffee shop with kind staff and a cozy but clean ambience. Baristas are skilled. I got an espresso with milk and it was so freakinggg good. Yum!
This is our go-to coffee place. The hot and cold options are amazing - especially their iced dirty chai and or the iced mocha! Yumm!!! Also, do not miss the baked goods, we love the blueberry galette (get there early as they do sell out of these on the weekends). The owners are incredible nice people and always remember us when we come. It's walking distance from our house, but we would come even if we had to make the journey.
They're the newest addition in South Pasadena coffee scene. It's housed in a cute small gallery on Mission street and has a selection of various espresso drinks and some non-coffee items. The owner is very nice and friendly, and the coffee was delicious.
My favorite spot for coffee! Super kid friendly. They served my daughter a small non dairy drink.
A modern coffee bar, with soft vibing music playing in the background. Limited seating, but nonetheless a nice place to chill and drink your coffee. The staff was nice and fast with their services. I ordered their Brown Sugar Latte which was pretty good. I also ordered one of their pastries, the strawberry apple pie, which was good, more so apple than strawberry.
Cool neighborhood coffee spot with chill vibes, a little shop that sells some cool stuff beyond just coffee brewing tools and coffee beans, and some (limited) comfortable seating inside. There is also outside seating which is especially great during nice days. The espresso I got was wonderful, and it’s always appreciated when they’re served with a shot of cold sparkling water.
Cool to hang out with people who have the same likes and interests. Paper goods, fine stationary, cards, fountain pens and a free lesson in journaling. Lots of fun and yet intense! Small turn out but one on one with the presenter was amazing! Thanks Rachel for all your insight!
Love this place. No notes. My guilty pleasure is the coffee soda.
Aesthetics on point, inviting for lounging or studying. There are at least 20 coffee spots between here and where I live, but I've been here 3 times in 2 weeks. It's because their drip is consistently fresh, and the espresso w/ almond milk has a texture that tells you they care. The staff is passionately hospitable.
Incredible coffee and house-made almond milk 💖💖💖 Plus amazing vibe, wonderful service, will be back!!
Had both the Chai Espresso and Drip Coffee. Chai reminded me of cinnamon toast crunch, it was delightful. Drip Coffee was a great Ethiopian with exactly the flavours you want.
Wonderful spot that knows how to make an amazing espresso! Tried the espresso with almond milk and it was perfectly balanced. It’s a laid back vibe with professional and awesome customer service.
My favorite coffee shop in the area. The vibe is perfect, service is kind and attentive. Prices are great, this place is a gem.

Two Kids has great drinks and solid snack options. Just be aware it’s a no laptop cafe, which I didn’t realize until I was leaving because the sign is small (my apologies to the staff!)
Best coffee in South Pas. Maybe pricey but it’s worth it if you want a more elevated coffee experience than Jones. I didn’t think I could let a new coffee place into my heart after going to Jones for so long, but Two Kids got me. The latte is always excellent and smooth. I remember waiting by the window for it and the barista brought it over to me in a ceramic mug. I loved that. That small touch made it feel like an elevated experience. GET THE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE. just do it, stop questioning yourself. Sit by the window, forget about your meetings, and watch the morning Mission walkers go by.
What a cool spot. Love the tunes bit old-school hip-hop. Great smooth coffee.
Favorite coffee shop in LA. I’m lucky to live within walking distance of this gem. The staff is super friendly (they know must of their customers by name) and their coffee is top notch. I make some great espresso and pour over at home so sometimes it’s hard to justify buying it from a cafe, but there’s is so good I justify it multiple times per week. B BEST PART? HANDMADE/HOMEMADE ALMOND MILK. Make sure you try it.

Coffee was fabulous, staff were all extremely friendly and courteous, and the food was delicious. Only knocked off one star because there aren't too many places to sit, and I thought my overnight oats portion was pretty small for the price.
I just had a morning coffee. The coffee was good. This seems like a place for San Marino moms to have a morning coffee and talk. A lot of floor space, but not many tables.
Interesting story behind the coffee shop. Spacious interior and I especially love the outside seating area, a perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon doing nothing or people watching. My latte is up to the standard, it is very difficult to compare them any more since everyone is doing a great job.
The coffee and pastry I had were pretty good. The staff was friendly as well. I liked th atmosphere of the place. Wish they had more seating. Although the staff was friendly, the vibe didn't feel as friendly. I would come back but only for take out.

Of all the coffee shops in the area of South Pas this particular shop always eluded me. But not this day. Without further delay, let’s begin. TWO KIDS is a small, modern, and bright coffee bar on Mission street situated next to an art gallery. They offer coffee, tea, pastries, and specialty drinks. Moreover, they sell merch, books and coffee bean bags. Interior design and spacious layout were lovely. Customers can ogle on the art with their drinks or chill in the back by the coffee bar beside a wall of blue-bird wallpaper. I was perfunctorily greeted by a female staff. I ordered a hot Brewed coffee. And it has a subpar quality. I wish I can say it’s great but words may choke me. Staff was cordial and professional. Overall, it’s a nice little cute coffee bar that is family and kid friendly.

The chai was milky, yogurt portion was small. Baked goods are tasty but very pricey.
Great coffee, but can’t get behind the fact that they close at 1pm. No post lunch coffee?? The staff also turns rude as the clock approaches closing time. I was told to hurry with my order when I walked in at 12:56p. That’s no way to run a local business.
A Coffee sets my morning so I always get Starbucks, but today i decided to support this local coffee shop and I was disappointed. Their only cup size is SMALL. Ordered Almond Latte and didn't taste nothing like Almonds or coffee, it was diluted for price of $6.00 . Unhappy :(
This was my second time here. The first time was a year ago when I came in to grab a drip coffee and left right away. Back then, the coffee was not very rich and it tasted burnt, kind of like 7 11 gas station coffee. They were weird back then, and they were weird today when I stayed for a little while. First, there is a sign that says "no laptops" which means that if you have any work to do, which I did, you cannot work on your device. I thought 'well at least I can do some planning in my notebook,' but the countertop/bar against the front window was so high that I couldn't comfortably rest my wrists and arms on it in order to write in my notebook. The band music was so loud that I couldn't even drown it out with my noise cancelling earbuds in and my own music blasting at the highest volume. The coffee latte that I got was the larger size, which was $7.50, but when they barista brought it out to me, it looked like a small size...which made me wonder what the actual small looked like. Additionally, it seemed I was under scrutiny from the moment I walked in the cafe. This is not a place to relax, read, journal, work (even for a half hour), and I would not even choose it to meet up with friends. The atmosphere is restricted, limited, judgy, and non-creative, without any polish or uniqueness.
Today I met up with a friend at Two Kids for the first/last time. I love Sharon Jones just as much as the next gal, but the volume was so loud we couldn’t dish the dirt. Since there was only one other customer, I politely asked if they could turn it down just a bit and the woman behind the counter replied “it’s actually at a set volume.” ??!🥴 Instead we sat out front in 90° weather and left with swamp butt. 👎
In Los Angeles, I feel it’s fair to expect vegan milk options at every cafe. There are none here. Their only non-dairy milk is their house made almond milk, which has honey rendering it non vegan.
Just a heads up, there is no wi-fi, no bathroom and very limited seating. The nearest bathroom is the city hall across the street where it's like an office building. Be aware this is not the kind of coffee shop to hang at for a while. It's like a grab n go. The coffee was okay. I give it a 5/10.
