Great atmosphere sitting outside overlooking the water during brunch. Our waiter was super helpful and the banana bread and hummus were the stars of the show. For a main, I got the village breakfast and it was pretty good. Kind of wish a toast or bread was offered with it, but delicious still. Also, the orange juice is full of pulp. If you’re a pulp fan, you’ll love it :) If not, I’d ask if there’s a non-pulp option or would just stick with another drink. My friend got the eggs Benedict. Great egg, but the bread was super soggy. Still good though. Bathroom was super clean and comfortable.

First time at the restaurant for dinner with a friend. The place was beautifully decorated, the outdoor patio had great views! The ambiance was immaculate. The food and service were great, our waiter Andres was amazing and very charismatic. Cannot wait to go back.

Beautiful outdoor seating on the water with a great atmosphere. Delicious and diverse food selection, flavorful oysters, and creative dishes. The beverage director took care of us most of the evening and made sure we had a fantastic time. They also welcomed in our dog and gave him a water bowl. Best date night in Stamford. Thank you Griffin and The Wheel team! Going back tonight for sure.

Great date night spot. We went for dinner on a Saturday and this place did not disappoint. From the drinks in the lounge area to the food once we got seated, everything was amazing. Food was cooked to perfection and service was good. We got steak and the beef short ribs, delicious and flavorful! Will be back, the vibes in this place we're perfect.

We stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed the experience. The restaurant had a large bar area along with two spacious dining areas. We started with an appetizer, the Wheel Fire Bread. It was a great start, smoked ricotta, hot honey and roasted almonds. It was delicious. For my entree I had the Wheelhouse burger which was absolutely delicious. A nice thick burger cooked a perfectly medium rare. My girlfriend ordered the Chilaquiles which were a large serving and were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back to try other items on their brunch and dinner menus.

So I decided to go to this restaurant spontaneously with my aunt cause I wanted to have brunch and it was so worth going the food was good the Margherita pizza 🍕 delicious the mimosas the Banana bread omg so good and the tres leches cake 🎂 so good too Andre was our waiter he so nice attentive, we also had a waitress her name was Tia really sweet girl I I can't wait to go back 😊

I hosted my sister's baby shower here last weekend. I was really impressed by how Will (manager) and the chef accommodated a custom menu that met all the unique dietary requirements of our party (vegan, vegetarian, celiac, dairy free). The view from the semi-private area of the restaurant where we held the party felt quite personal, with a great view of the patio and water. Nice, tall, green hedges sectioned off our area from the rest of the restaurant. We were allowed to arrive early to set up some flower arrangements and all the staff was extremely accommodating and helpful (they provided us with glasses for flowers and an extra high table for party favors, and they cleaned up everything we brought after we left). They even let us linger longer after our three hour time slot had finished. Everything went so smoothly and was very relaxed and delicious. The cocktails and mocktails were GREAT too. Thank you so much for making it a special celebration for our family and friends.

Really cool restaurant with a special vibe, comfortable seating inside and also outdoors on a large patio by the river. Great bar, good food and service, good service, clean restrooms, fair prices for the quality. Very good experience :-)

The Wheel is such a beautiful restaurant, and is one of the best I’ve gone to in Stamford! The ambiance is great, and getting a seat by the window with the water right there was perfect for a date night with my fiancé. We shared the wagyu meatballs with polenta for an app, and I had the braised short rib while he had the grilled steak with chimichurri, all of which were delicious and perfectly cooked. The triple chocolate cake was exactly what we were looking for for dessert! The wait staff was very attentive, and the food came out quickly. I definitely see myself coming back!

My fiancé and I have been to The Wheel a couple of times to eat and loved the food so we hosted our engagement party here (brunch)! Juuli, the events manager, was super helpful in answering all my questions and in preparing for the event. We did family style dining with a selection of the bakery board, trio of dips, and burrada salad. For the main course, we did Seasonal Frittata, Flat Iron Skirt, Steak & Eggs, Fried Chicken Sandwich, and the Autumn Pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious! All our guests were raving about the food and we were happy to have some leftovers to enjoy later on. Our event was semi private dining since our party was too large for the private dining room (26 people). We were set up towards the back and separated with greenery, which was perfect to set up our balloon arch. There are floor to ceiling windows which give a nice view of the water. I bet it would be beautiful in summer or fall to be on the outdoor space. Definitely pop in for a meal or host your event here!

Absolutely delicious and friendly experience! Food was delicious starting with the Tuna tartare which was the most delicious I have eaten in a while. Extremely fresh and full of flavors. Then lobster roll was delicious and fresh and not overpowered by the seasoning or mayo. The staff was awesome, helpful and kind and their outdoor area is a must try in the area. The Wheel is a must try!

We just stopped here for brunch on our way home from NYC. Wow! What a treat. From the super cool decor (love the lighting!) to the views and the welcoming staff, we knew we made a good decision just walking in the door. Jay, our server was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Now to the food. We were starving, so ordered two hefty meals. I had the burger which was perfectly done (MR) and literally melted in my mouth and the fries- holy moly! Best fries I’ve ever had. My husband had the the Braised Short Rib Hash (with jalapeño hollandaise and crispy potato rosti)- beautifully presented and equally delicious. The coffee was even top-notch. Go here!!

Excellent! Sat at the bar- Bartender & Manager super friendly. Food, atmosphere, vibe all outstanding. Would recommend reservations. Very busy. Which is a good thing. Brunch for 2 on a Saturday a little over $100.00.

Had a bridal shower at The Wheel and it was AMAZING. The space they gave us was perfect, the service was top-notch, the food was phenomenal. It was all just an absolutely lovely occasion that The Wheel hosted for us. Really wanted for nothing……great experience from planning stages until end.

We went for a family gathering of 8. The food was amazing and the staff was great. They were busy so it took a little while for the drinks to come out. But other than that the experience was amazing.

I celebrated my birthday at The Wheel in Stamford and had an amazing experience. The service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and made the night feel special from start to finish. The atmosphere was lively yet welcoming, and the food was outstanding. It was the perfect spot to celebrate, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

5 people, 3 different dietary preferences/needs and 5 happy people. Thus 5 stars. Ambience was good. Yea service wasn't fast but it was informed and polite. Prices were fair for the quality and quantity of food. I've paid double for half the amount of more exquisite food. This was just fine.

Nakor was an amazing! He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. His service really stood out and made the experience even more enjoyable. We felt well taken care of the entire time great energy, great service, and a great time thanks to Nakor. Would definitely ask for him again!

Party of four on a Sunday night. Ordered two appetizers, the Brussel sprouts and the whipped eggplant. The whipped eggplant was AMAZING and came with warmed pita bread. We all loved it! For dinner we went light as we overdid it with the apps. Two of us opted for the Caesar salad (one with chicken, the other just the salad). One ordered the salmon dish and she said it delicious and cooked to perfection. The fourth ordered a Margherita pizza which she said was just ok. This was our second time there and will definitely go again.

This place is in a great location! Amazing atmosphere! I went there once because of a wedding celebration. So I decided to go back again. Unfortunately, I may have to reconsider going again for a third time. What ruined my experience was when the waiter brought me my glass of wine. I noticed a piece of cork in my glass. I brought this to my waiter's attention. Instead of getting a new glass of wine, he proceeded to get a straw and used the paper tip of the straw to remove the piece of cork. I looked at him and he looked back at me like there wasn't a problem. I said to him, "you are using paper to fish out the cork." He responded with, "I didn't touch the paper." We just stared at each other until he realized to get me a new glass of wine. Overall, the service was good. They were kind, and helpful. I think he made a bad decision in the handling of my glass wine. It was unsanitary and very informal. However, if you decide to go to The Wheel. Try the wagyu tataki and make sure your wine is cork-free.

Beautiful ambience. We had a dozen oysters (east coast, all juicy and tasty), good mignonette (nowadays you have to ask for it, but here it was on the tray). The Caipirinha was decent too. E kept me company w truffle fries and spicy margarita. We had the basics beyond that. The burger was as asked (med rare), juicy, not dried out. The Caesar salad not drenched in sauce, and the croutons were crunchy, flavorful and not oily👍. Took some time until the waiter returned to take our order and was nowhere to be found once we were ready for the check, but once he took our order the food arrived in a timely and orderly fashion. The servers were all courteous and eager to help. The sweet breeze and the atmosphere more than made up for small hick-ups. Would definitely go back.

New spot in town and had to check out the hype for brunch! The restaurant was easy to find and there's plenty of parking in the lot which is a major plus. My group and I ordered an app and beers to start. Cocktails were a little pricey but love the idea of the make your own mimosa with a few juice options. Our main course took a while to come out but the place is new and the restaurant was full, so totally understandable. Highly recommend the short rib hash - it was delicious but smaller than I expected for the price. Will definitely be back again with family and more for special occasions rather than a weekly brunch spot

My new favorite place!! Great food, the best service (shoutout to Sage!), amazing drinks, but the reason why I gave this place a 4 start in atmosphere is because the servers are wearing black long sleeves tops in a 95 degree weather! No one wants their server to be sweaty serving dishes, management should really change this. Otherwise a perfect place.

What a great outdoor setting. We had a family dinner there by the water. Great vibe and very helpful staff. Not getting 5 stars because the salmon came out way undercooked, and they used cream from a can in the desert. Come on, use some organic freshly whipped cream. Everything else was superb, including their cocktails. And I’ll be back for that burger again…

Server very friendly and calm. Attentive and asked if we needed anything often. Beautiful water front views and attractive decor. Holiday Food menu was was good- plenty of sides made it a success. Carrot Tart entree should be scratched next time. Big idea- Why not offer Leftovers Take Away for $25 to $35 per person-with just the basics and some bread - everyone wants leftovers or a turkey sandwich around 8pm when they get home or the day after Thanksgiving for Lunch. I think you will sell quite a few!

Our go to place in Stamford ,CT. Right on the Stamford harbor. Perfect place for Breakfast and family get together. Best place for Breakfast in Stamford in my opinion.

TL;DR: The back-of-the-house is the star of the show. Food: Appetizers: the salad bowls surprised everyone; they were really that good. Entrees: Red meat dishes and pizzas were very balanced and I’d recommend that for most people. The seafood dishes were hit (crab cake & lobster roll) or miss (scallops, salmon). Now, for context, this was at prime dinner rush with a rez at 19:00, but seafood stayed on the pan and/or under the heating lamp too long. The whole chicken was cooked to perfection but seasoning was more conservative then we preferred. I suspect local preferences shaped those decisions. Service: Including our table of 8, there was another larger party across the room from us. Not easy to navigate that while serving the smaller tables in that section. The extended servers did their best to assist. Now, with all that said, things got frustrating at times. They were rightly trying to time serving entrees when they were all ready, but appetizer plates hadn’t been cleared from the table to make room for those entrees. Tired of waiting, I ended up clearing the tables myself and leaving the dirty plates and cutlery on one side of the table. I looked at other tables and most of them had dirty dishes at their tables for a while. I also had to point out that we were going to need fresh cutlery. I shared that I was from out of town and when asked questions about the menu, that was a missed opportunity to maximize bill size and guest experience. It’s worth going to this establishment. But I’d recommend having some patience with service. The food will be worth it and hopefully you’ll leave with good memories with the people who joined you.

The food was absolutely amazing. We sat outdoors and enjoyed it. Wish the servers would've checked up on us a bit more. Also, quite confused as what seemed to be the manner coming to take our order. Fast forward over 20 min, the server came to ask if we were ready to place our order. We explained manager had taken it and apparently never sent it. Not sure why he wasted his time and ours in talking the order just to not send. Anyhow, other than that it was great food

We have eaten there many times indoors and outside as well. Food and service are good. There are some things that could use a little tweaking. But, overall we enjoy it. I do hope that they get handheld machines for the servers to use for payment of the check at the table. Having had our CC's hacked, we feel its so much safer keeping our card in sight at the table.

Enjoyed a dinner with friends here. A beautiful interior and tasty food. We did have an issue with a strong cold draft from the patio doors, we were able to rellocate since we were an early reservations.

Update: I was contacted for more details and they have done their best to make it right for us. Disappointing. We had a group event there. Great location. The private room was uncomfortably warm (apparently no ventilation). The fixed menu food was average. It seemed that they were short servers this day as we rarely saw our server, our brunch took over 2 hours, and it was difficult to find the staff to pay the bill. (And the restaurant was not that full.) Perhaps a smaller group would fare better and the outside tables looked nice, but I can't recommend this place for a group event.

I got a recommendation of this place from one of my friends. When we walked in, we felt very welcomed. Nice vibes, fabulous decor, great live music sessions and great staffs. We got banana buttermilk bread to start, it was phenomenal. However, the main course was a little disappointing. We got the crab and avocado toast and steak and eggs. The crab and avocado was fine but the steak was so dry and wasn’t cooked to the preference that we asked for. We would like to come back to give it another try though! I love everything just hoping that the food would be better next time.

Edited on 03/13/23 I loved the atmosphere of The Wheel. The menu has several gluten-free options. The starters were amazing. I ordered the Miso Salmon. My salmon wasn't quite cooked medium, but it was edible. The bok choy wasn't great as it was overcooked then, saturated in sause that caused it to be too bitter and salty, I didn't eat it. Service was good. Several people came to get our plates, and we received new silverware for each course; however, the oyster forks came too late. I had a 5pm reservation, and it was quiet, nice, and relaxing. After about 6 pm, it became quite busy, and the noise level made a quiet dinner between two people, one that caused us to speak up rather loudly. Dinner Pro: Quiet if you go early Dinner Con: More expensive, tennis if meats are not consistent My second experience wasn't as wonderful as my first. This time, we had Sunday brunch. I was so excited to try this menu, but we were let down. Our server took so long to take our order, rarely checked on us, and our food took almost an hour to make it to our table, and it was off. My friend's steak was not evenly cooked, and my fried chicken was overcooked; no juice in the meat. We tried the Bigeye Tuna Tartare for an appetizer, there was no perfect bite, and the Tuna was gummy and flavorless. Brunch Pro: The cappuccino was amazing. Slightly cheaper prices Brunch Con; Meat temps not consistent, service was poor due to server not being able to handle a whole section to himself, and the live band had the volume up so loud it was difficult to hear my server and friend at times

Service was slow and food was average given price (cocktail shrimp didn’t taste fresh either)

We were at the Wheel on Saturday with a group of girlfriends. While the location and the atmosphere are very nice I cannot say the same about the food. I ordered the Salmon with vinaigrette and it was so salty and soaked in vinegar I couldn't bare. I tried to finish it but couldn't.When I was asked if I wanted the rest boxed i told the waiter I didn't like it and explained it was too salty. I was expecting some kind of acknowledgement.My friends weren't also satisfied with their food and some appetizers were also very salty but when a guest has something to say I think addressing its concerns is important in this business.

So let me start by saying it’s tucked behind the VCA hospital in a newish area. It’s a really cool place. Arrived and seated quickly inside because outside was full. Had some live music playing and people casually conversing. My rating isn’t due to the food, presentation or taste. We started with the calamari which may be one of the best I’ve had, cooked and seasoned perfectly, not chewy or soggy. I then ordered my flat iron steak which proceeded to take over 1hr after I was done with my appetizer. Steak was eh, was a little tough but was cooked perfectly t and seasoned perfect. The wait staff however was horrendous. The waiter walked by numerous times while we sat there waiting for our food. I had to say something before he went up and checked and then that was another 15min before my steak and my wife’s Cesar salad came out. He salad barely had dressing on it and the croutons were petrified. I am not sure if it was an off night but I don’t think I will be back to this place due to the staff. It also seemed the cooks were trying to figure out which dishes went with which tickets. Almost seemed like they were not working together.

Our original check was $289, yet the waiter returned with a receipt for $338 for me to sign. When I asked for the itemized bill again, I discovered a NY strip we never ordered added to the total. There was no apology — only another $339 receipt with a “refund” noted. It was only after he noticed me photographing the receipts that he suddenly returned with the correct $289 bill, stating he voided the higher charge and needed my card again. Needless to say what it looks like. For a restaurant that presents itself as refined, this experience was deeply disappointing and raised serious concerns about their billing integrity. Be aware.

I was finally able to make it to The Wheel on Saturday, September 20, 2025 and it was disappointing and an awful experience. We did outdoor brunch and the atmosphere was good until bees 🐝 started eating our food and attacking us. I am highly allergic to bees and the waitress was not empathetic and was bothered by my request to eat inside. In addition, while we were moving to indoor seating she asked me to grab my dish to make the move.I advised her again that I am highly allergic and there were too many bees for me to do that. We were not the only group fighting off bees that day. Once we ate inside this is when the service dropped even more. Our new waiter did not introduce himself and then when we got the bill. We were overcharged and mentioned it to the waiter. They made the correction but there was no apologies or sincere response to the over charge.Take note to check your "BILL" with them. I will not be returning because there are much better restaurants by the water that I can receive superb customer service with the excellent scenery.

Really disastrous experience through and through. Our party of four arrived at 1:30 for brunch and had our drink orders taken about 10 minutes later. It was a full 75 minutes later until our lunch orders were finally taken. We meant to order appetizers but after the only wait opted not to. All in all were at the restaurant 3 hours and over the course of our time there we had a food order taken once and our drinks refilled once an hour. Unfortunately we were not alone in our experience as several tables around us were also expressing frustration. As far as food goes it was average. The hot honey pepperoni pizza was lacking in hot honey. For a restaurant that markets itself as an upscale establishment, and has been open for a number of years, this should serve as a reality check.
