Best food. Great entertainment. Great staff
This was my husband’s and I first time coming here and we loved everything from the food to drinks and the hospitality. I got the Diablo Diego tacos and my husband got the east coast surfer tacos and they were amazing!! I will definitely come back!!
First time at Ho’brah and VERY impressed! The food was amazing, the DJ are playing some FIRE tunes, and my friends are having a great time as well! HIGHLY recommend!
We always love hobrah! All of their food is always fresh and full of flavor! I was surprised to see live music tonight and it also was awesome. Also great for big groups - we walked in with 7 tonight and no wait. Best margs in the game!
Horbah! is SO good 😍 The drinks are perfectly mixed with just the right amount of liquor—chef’s kiss. The food comes out fast, fresh, hot, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The staff is super welcoming and kind, which makes the experience even better. The scenery is calm with great vibes and music. It is on the expensive side, but 100% worth it. I’ll definitely be back!
My son came from Colombia for a month’s vacation, and he really wanted to try a Mexican-inspired restaurant. We chose Ho’ Brah — one of my top spots in Staten Island — and it was the perfect choice! He loved the fun atmosphere, the music, and the beach-surf style décor, and as a family we all had a great time. Our server, Joe, was attentive, helpful, and full of positive energy, which made the experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. The food was excellent: I loved their special Fish Taco, my son devoured his Grilled Chicken Quesadilla (he added a squeeze of lime and it was amazing), my little daughter enjoyed her cheese quesadilla, and my wife was thrilled with her fresh salad. As a recommendation, the Blueberry Smash is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for something refreshing and alcohol-free. Thank you, Ho’ Brah, for such a great experience. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy it again as a family! 🌮🌊
I’m not usually big on Mexican food because of my allergy to spicy peppers but this place has some delicious options and frozen drink options too. Our waiter was Lou and he was great! He helped make sure I didn’t order anything that I cannot eat. He was supposed helpful, friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and decently priced. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone. The atmosphere is nice and family friendly but also great for an adult crowd. The also give free chips and salsa.
Great drinks, better food! My first time here and def not my last. Sat at the bar and Joe was our server/bartender. I had the beef nachos and it was delicious! Drank the frozen flights (alcoholic slushy-type drink) which come in 4 different flavors with 1 order---very tasty. Great service and in a up and coming neighborhood!
First time visiting this location (been to the Bay Ridge location a couple of times) and it was good, not great. Great selection of tacos (seemingly the same menu as other location) and good cocktails. Service was good but the restaurant felt too big--- Bay Ridge location is much more cozy.
I am a BIG FAN of their Birria tacos. I was first introduced to them at their Bay Ridge location and had to check out the Staten Island one. I am personally biased to the Bay Ridge location because it's more lively, just how I like it, and it makes me enjoy their food much more. I think the tacos are a little overpriced, especially because they don't come with anything else with them, it's worth the occasional visit!
Outdoor dining with shade on the side of the restaurant. I ordered a fajita dish and asked for everything but the meat on the side. The waitress stated that its served with everything on the side. When I received my dish everything was mixed in together. The food was ok. Update: 10/4...finally indoor dining. Our waitress was very on top of everything so we had great service and the food was great tonight.
If you’re coming for authentic Mexican food, you’re coming to the wrong place. The food is by no means anything special but if you’re hungry, it will satisfy. Pork empanadas were very good and meaty but wish it had some cheese in there. Both quesadillas were very basic, having neutral flavor (tasted like tortilla with salt & pepper)which wasn’t bad but wasn’t outstanding either. Usually Mexican restaurants have their homemade hot sauce but I was given Cholula hot sauce which worked but like I said, “by no means special”. Server was alone and one other bartender so we just paid at the register instead of waiting to be noticed. Food and pricing was good and would satisfy your hunger, but would definitely not be back.
Picked up a to-go order today. Staff was friendly and the shrimp was tasty, but overall I didn’t enjoy my food. It wasn’t giving at all way too much rice, and the rice was kind of mushy if you ask me. Probably won’t be back.
I called to order take out and got hung up on mid sentence twice and when i got my food there was hair in the broth and the mission bay burrito was missing EVERYTHING (including the chipotle we paid extra for) besides rice cheese and beans. the food is good but the bad service makes it not worth it
On Wednesdays night 10/8 my husband and I decided to go for date night and grab a drink at Ho’Brah on Forest Ave bec it’s convenient to our home. It turned out to be not such a great night bec although it was a quiet night at the bar my first drink (Mango margarita on the rocks) was served with a roach!🥵 I was caught by surprise and didn’t have enough time to take a pic before the drink was taken away. The bartender was nice enough to redo the drink but my husband still paid for the drink which I felt shouldn’t have been the case. Overall, left so much uncertainty of the cleanliness of this Hobrah location!🫣
