We came for dinner before a concert in the area and were pleasantly surprised! Starting with our server, Tom, was an absolute delight. He made drink and menu recommendations, and everything was just as he called it. Our drinks : their spin on a French 75, but with elderflower, and a lavender gin drink (sorry the names are escaping me) we’re both delicious. Beware the lavender is a tad sweeter, so proceed cautiously, or ask for light syrup if ordering. For an appetizer we ordered the lollipop lamb chops and omg amazing! I wish that was offered as an entree because it was perfect! You get three small chops, and it’s served over a mix of spinach, sweet potatoes and mushrooms, all in a delicious glaze. Truly the highlight. On to meals: I ordered the pasta rouxpour with blacked shrimp, and my partner ordered the snapper. The pasta comes in a cream sauce, and not super heavy, so again, perfect for me. The snapper was ordered with double veggies and the sauce on the side and it was just the right amount. Everything was well seasoned and extremely flavorful, and altogether the food servings were more than enough for the two of us. Coupling our food and drinks with the amazing experience we received from Tom, we can’t wait to return again!

What a wonderful experience at Rouxpour today! We treated ourselves to the chicken/sausage gumbo with a crab cake to dip in it. Both prepared to perfection. We shared a 1/2 order of raw oysters and finally the stuffed shrimp. Everything was cooked perfectly by a proud chef. Our waiter Emerson was top-notch, checking on us frequently and did so with the kindest demeanor.

Attended a small private wedding for a friend here during summer 2025. Staff were extremely friendly and kind, provided great service! The entire event was elegantly put together and the food was superb, plenty of great options from pasta, steak to Red Snapper. Truly enjoyed my experience here on a Sunday afternoon outside, on their patio. The weather was great and the crowd was steady. Our waiter was attentive, and provided all we needed. The deviled eggs are ❗❗❗, get them! All our food was seasoned well, right temperature and texture. Would definitely come back to try more on their menu.

Once in the Sugar Land area and craving New Orleans type of meal- this is my go to. Food and atmosphere is great, but service can be better. Will definitely be back.

Nice place, Had the boudin chicken. Nice flavor. Green beans were good, potato cake was spicy. Nice. I would return for another item on the menu. I will try the redfish next time. Prices are wrong here on this menu on Google maps. The chicken says 25 here but it's 30 at the restaurant.

Outside seating area is nice. The service was good , he definitely tried to upsell on everything. Salad was very tasty. I had the filet mignon the steak was tender but lacked seasoning very bland.

Although I have visited their other locations before, this was my first time at this particular spot, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the host accommodated us promptly, and we were seated in no time. Despite the waiter being busy attending to multiple tables, the service was efficient and friendly. Our food arrived quickly and steaming hot, making the whole experience even better. I have to tell you about the standout dishes we had that evening. The Chilean seabass was an absolute gem, perfectly complemented by a delicious sauce. The raw oysters were fresh and generously sized, and my ahi tuna salad was simply perfect. By the time we finished our meal, we were so satisfied that there was no room left for dessert. Overall, our experience at The Rouxpour in Sugar Land was fantastic, and I can't wait to go back for another delightful meal.

The crab and corn bisque was great. The omelet was pretty good. The cornbread was a bit gummy for my liking, but it has a good flavor. My coworker said the French toast with chicken was outstanding. I came in on 3.7.2026 after I got married to celebrate with family. The waitress was wonderful and treated us well. The food was tasty and very good portion sizes. It was very loud inside due to poor acoustics and increased reverberation. Unfortunately, my new husband and I woke up the next day pretty ill. Fever, chills, muscle cramps, etc. we both had seafood and were nervous about food poisoning so we got checked out. Low and behold, it is in fact food poisoning. Very unfortunate situation.

When the oysters first arrived, the color of the oysters was already red. After talking to the waiter, I reluctantly changed four of them. The lamb chops and the pork ribeye were super salty, and when I told the waiter as such, there was no response from him.

Had dinner on Saturday 7/5/25, ordered oven roasted stuffed flounder with veggies. Food was really tasty but a little salty, not sure if it was the sauce or the veggies. The atmosphere would've been great but there was a smell upon entering that smelled like backed up sewage, mostly on the right side of the restaurant. Moved to the bar side and it was much better. Had a pianist who sounded really good, nice big bar with multiple TV's. Other than the smell, really nice restaurant, also has patio seating.

This restaurant specializes in seafood, and judging by my friends’ impressions, who ordered a variety of dishes, it’s a good fit for those who enjoy this type of cuisine. They mentioned that the food was quite salty and spicy — definitely more salt and pepper than usual. That’s probably part of the New Orleans-style flavor, so if you’re a fan of bold, intense tastes, you’ll likely enjoy it. Personally, I can’t fully judge the menu, as I’m not a seafood lover and have an allergy to shrimp and other shellfish. I had a Caesar salad and dessert. The salad was quite basic — just greens and cheese, nothing special. But the dessert was really delicious. Service was friendly and polite. It’s very loud inside — having a conversation is pretty difficult. Otherwise, the place is clean, tidy, and has a welcoming atmosphere.

If I ever need some good oysters, I'm there! I love Rouxpour for their appetizers. Their drinks are a plus too! I don't really care much for their entrees, sadly.

On 10/04 arrived at 12:45p and request a booth table by bar area. Waitress came and we order water with lemons and asked for a few mins. Brittany our waitress returned and we ordered cup of chicken & sausage gumbo, and cup of shrimp etouffee with extra bread, pasta rouxpour and bayou pork ribeye. A waiter brought our food and when Brittany returned we asked her if could bring entree after we've completed our appetizer. She said the entrees are in with an attitude and my friend stated that we don't want the entrees until finished. After we finished we asked her to go ahead and bring the entrees. They wasn't smoking hot as if been sitting. We asked for more water and lemons. She brought the lemons and poured the water. I noticed something black in my friends water. It was a small bug. I asked for the manager from a waitress passing. The manager approached the table and i stated good afternoon. He asked how can help. I told him and showed the bug in water. He stated with an attitude that bugs fly in cause the doors are opening and closing. It's nothing that he could do but get another drink. My friend stated he had water. He didn't say my apologies or nothing about it. When waitress brought the new water and lemons she slammed the glass on the table and asked you two need anything else with a smart attitude. We said no thank you im a polite way. We had a great time the first time, but after this experience, spending $88.78 and the treatment from staff we will'nt return nor recommend anyone. Spending the money wasn't a problem it was the horrible experience. I have photos. Thank you 10/06 Check yr bill and bank acct. Receipt say $88.78. Bank acct say $106.54.
