I don't have enough good words to say about this place! The food is really good and everything is prepared on a charcoal grill (pretty much in front of the customers), so the food has that smoky flavor that is missing from so many gas grill places. The service is astounding! The owner is very friendly and loves to cater to customers! We came in for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't crowded. Will definitely be coming back for breakfast next time for sure. Loved it!

I was in the area for work, and happened upon Kal's. Went in, and asked the friendly staff for recommendations. She told me the steak sandwich was popular, as well as the various BBQ sandwiches. I opted for the steak, and I was not disappointed. The steak was cooked just right, with a smokey flavor. There was a condiment area with lettuce, tomatoes and other toppings, but I ate mine plain. Parking is a bit tight, but I got there before the rush. The service was quick, and the prices were reasonable. Definitely a thumbs up for me.

2 eggs, ham, hash browns. Very good. My wife had bacon, she said it was amazing. Service was fast and very friendly. Their steak sandwich seems to be very popular as a lot of people ordered it.

Had lunch here for the first time in years. We had a Cheeseburger with onion rings that was good. We also had the BBQ chicken sandwich on a french roll. It was good except that the french roll was a lot longer than the chicken, as you can see from the picture. I've never eaten anything on a french roll that didn't cover the length of the roll. You can sit inside or outside.

Came at 1 PM on a Friday, couldn’t order breakfast, despite what is advertised. Cheeseburger was ordinary, the fixings bar was depleted. Skip the onion rings, they’re the manufactured variety. Beer pours are 12 oz. Maybe I’ll try the Rib Eye Sandwich next time.

Really wanted to like this place. Came in for breakfast and the owner was pushing the steak and eggs. First of all, it was $35. You read that right. I should have balked but I said why not let me try it. Had eggs over medium and sourdough toast as well. It also comes with hash browns. I ordered the steam medium rare and it was cooked perfectly but it was a very thin steak and there was zero seasoning added -- not a grain of salt or pepper so I had to add that myself and the meat was fine. The eggs were perfect but again no seasoning at all applied. The hash browns were okay-- they were a bit crisp but could have been better. They were too oily though. So maybe I just shouldn't try breakfast here and next time stick to burgers and steak sandwiches.

Fries don't look done but they are. The condiments are runny. Mustard and BBQ sauce should not be as thin as water. Hotdog had a funny taste to it. Fries were good. Hotdog is served on a roll.

Sadly this was a very disappointing experience. I got the bbq pork and the meat looked like long pieces of chicken skin with little bits of meat (see photo). And it tasted worse than that. It was very gamey (not in a good way) and in one word horrible. I couldn't even eat it. The onion rings honestly felt like they were from frozen with too much breading, like the ones you get at smart-n-final. You could hardly taste the onions. The bbq ribs were OK. The potato salad again felt like it was made, froze, and then defrosted. Totally not worth the money. We usually go to Smoking Pig BBQ in San Jose. Would just stick to that next time.

So I payed around 15 bucks for a burger + fries + a drink here and needless to say, I'm not thrilled. The cheeseburger I ordered was pretty bland and the fries are quite flavorless. For 15 dollars this is a pretty fat ripoff. I would highly recommend going to the Wendy's or McDonald's down the street for a much better value because this place did not impress me one bit.
