Very authentic Chinese food. Definitely worth a try
Friendly and welcoming.
Best hot and sour soup!
Owners run the place and they are very nice. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. I love their Sweet and Sour pork. They use big pieces of pork and it’s crunchy not soggy like many places.

味道很好!
I have been in Sunnyvale for 7 years. My wife and me we love to order food from them, it’s a family business that take care of clientes with a lot dedication to make you get the best flavors ever. We highly recommended if you try it you will love.
Great food. Ordered the garlic chicken wings and garlic prawns. All was excellent! Thank you team!
Have been coming here for 7 years, always a reliable place to get tasty and well cooked Chinese food (not to mention generous portions). Great for families with kids as it’s very spacious and they have high chairs
Very good food. Fast service because we were the only ones there but it took only 10 minutes to get 2 dishes. Service was very nice and fast. Highly recommend
This is our favorite Chinese place to eat. Have been going there for the past eight years. The staff is amazing. The food is excellent.
Lived down the street the whole time and never knew about this restaurant the food I order was good. I'd definitely order again.
Honey walnut shrimp and Salty Fish Chicken Fried rice.🔥🔥 I asked for the fried rice to be made spicy and it was perfect.
Food was really good , I haven’t had good Chinese takeout in a while. I highly recommend this place
Absolutely love their Mongolian beef they make it so flavorable it's absolutely the best in the area
Ordered for take out but you could eat in. Very tasty and it was very hot food.
Great food. Great service. We'll be going back again!!
Awesome place to eat Wor wonton soup is sooooo good!
This is the best home cooking Chinese food in Sunnyvale. Even the firefighters go here. Food portions are nice with light sauses and very light on the oil. Yay! Get noodles Hong Kong style and the are nice and crispy. Hot and sour soup is delightful but the only have large so take the rest home. Shimp were tasty and plentiful. Sorry I didn't take any pictures...too busy eating :-)
My parents started going here 25 years ago when they first started dating. Now, I am 21 years old and I live in Seattle, but we still make a point of making the trip out to Sunnyvale everytime we visit because of its continued amazing service and amazing food, and we always tell our friends to eat there if they are in town. Our favorite dish is the Beef Chow Mein (Hong Kong Style) and we always order one whole dish for every person in our group. I am sure it is supposed to be split between multiple people but it is just so good! And we don't come to California so often so it's a special treat. King Wah Chinese Restaurant has a special place in my heart (and in my stomach) 🥰 thank you for the great time and great memories
Super good especially the walnut Honey Prawn and Wanton soup . We love their food
Enjoyed everything we ordered. Our favorites were the beef chow mein, chicken fried rice and garlic green beans.
Cheap-ish, fast, no fuss Cantonese leaning Chinese-American food. Egg rolls were crispy, chow mein and fried rice were oily and piled high. You get exactly what you expect.
Great place, delicious food and fast service for a lunch take out.

Great place, delicious food and fast service for a lunch take out.
Omg I can't believe this restaurant is not raved about enough! I've been coming to King Wah since I've moved to the South Bay Area and it is truly a hidden gem. I come here with my family whenever we are craving Chinese food and they have everything you could think of on the menu. My favorite items are the Honey Walnut Prawns (they are BOMB!), the Dry Fried Chicken Chow Fun, Minced Pork with Green Bean, Salt and Pepper Fish Filet and Sing Chow Mai Fun. The staff is so friendly and they always remember my family's order since we tend to order the same items and almost come weekly. I find it so heartwarming that they remember their customers and treat you like family. I can't recommend this restaurant enough if you are craving delicious Chinese food!
Beloved old school american cantonese and traditional canto standby for the locals and tech workers :) Food is great, but i've come here at least 50 times now over the years just for the vibes and smiles. Something about this place is just happy and calming...
It's the definition hole in the wall but the food is amazingly delicious. We had the walnut prawns combination fried rice Hunan beef among other items. Everything was delicious and the portions were fair. While they inside of the restaurant needs a little bit to be desired, the food was definitely worth the price and I will definitely come back there again.

The quality, the portion size. The area this is: great eating.
Good Chinese Cantonese food in Sunnyvale They have big servings which is great. However, some food in the menu is a bit too salty. The service is fast and would still recommend this restaurant.
Honestly, sometimes I argue with them about their prices because they dont make their hours clear but keep coming back because the food is good. I've never had issues, and they are never rude even though I argue a lot.
Nice local cozy Cantonese restaurant. As good as it gets for a Chinese restaurant in the Sunnyvale area.
Decent chinese food but the portion has become smaller and price higher. It was very small portion on the orange chicken today. The beef chow fun has decent amount of noodle but not so much in beef.
It has been awhile since we took our parents here. We always get our "usual." It includes chow mein, kung pao chicken, fried rice and lemon chicken. For a lunch stop, I thought it be quick serve (pre-prepped food) but since it took about 20 minutes, it was fresh made. The combination chow mein came out, the noodles were perfect, the meat and veggies had a nice texture, tasty not salty sauce. Kung pao chicken came, good balance of spice, even my parents were ok with it. There is an option to add more spice on the table. Then fried rice and lemon chicken came out to round out our meal. The rice was addictive as well as the lemon chicken. It was a nice meal. Service was efficient. We got tea and a refill. We had leftovers (servings were generous) which made a nice meal at dinner time.
I was in Downtown Sunnyvale and decided to swing by King Wah to grab dinner as I had seen others in a local foodies group give it high marks for authenticity. I grabbed some old favorites: Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, and Mapo Tofu. They were all really good. In particular the fried rice and Mapo Tofu (not super spicy for those with low tolerance). The shrimp with lobster sauce wasn't quite what I expected as it had celery, onions and bell pepper. This was a dish my dad used to cook often and his didn't have all of the extra veggies. So, the issue was more with my expectations than the dish itself. I will definitely be back to try more dishes! Service was very quick (order ready in 15 minutes) and they take GPay (as well as Apple Pay). Lucky for me as I had my phone, but had forgotten my wallet at home.
Delicious food. here is my steam cat fish and the previous owner.
As always, a great place for Cantonese food.

Not the same as before
When I went there to buy food, they served me hard, overcooked, pork, sweet-and-sour pork to be exact and I just got done telling him the week before the last time I ate there is the reason why I eat at that particular restaurant is because they didn’t serve old food. Well, they did at the very next time. . They served me dried up food and I’m pissed about it.
We got there late, so may explain how empty it was. The food we got was edible but not particularly delicious.
Food was a bit disappointing. Would serve the restaurant to have better descriptions or photos of the dishes. For instance, I ordered the Princess Chicken, described only as "deep fried, hot". I expected a crispy skin chicken. Instead it was some pretty chewy chicken pieces deep fried in batter and covered in sticky sauce. The beef chow mein had undercooked beef and only one vegetable. Turns out Hong Kong style means crispy noodles (raw?) sitting in sauce. Garlic bok choy was good.
The food we got ... chicken fried rice, green bean chicken and fried wonton with sweet and sour sauce... was really good. Tasty. The problem was the female cashier. When we arrived at 8:00pm. I asked her if we can eat inside. They close at 8:30pm. She slid a menu to us and said ok. After a few minutes ... I ordered at the cash register. Usually she would wait on us, give us water and hot tea but tonight she did not. I went back to counter and asked for iced water. She slammed a glass on the counter. I said, there is 2 of us... can I please get another water... again a glass was slammed on the counter with a huff and puff. I had to ask for hot tea. She said ... "oh you're eating here?" She gave a rude look and went to kitchen area. Male gave us hot tea and was way nicer to us... but damage control was not over since the female cashier slammed food down and still mad i guess, so she continuously glared at us while we tried to eat our food, but we decided to pack it all up and go since we were given the "stink eye." Eating comfortably was no longer an option. That female cashier was rude and mad at something. Didn't appreciate the attitude... I paid $38+ for 3 items, didn't need anymore from them. We enjoyed the food, not the service so much, so sadly, 3 stars it is.

The food is super good but cashier is always in a bad mood I spent $55 and couldn’t get one of the oil sauce without being charged. I think if a person spends that amount of money they should be able to get atleast 1-2 sauces also maybe a new cashier I always spend $50+ and shes till always talks rude only reason I come back it’s because the food is good just maybe be nicer to the people who are making you guys money be humble!
used to be my go to place for soup, the quality went down (quality and amount of ingredients), so it was disappointing. Credit card accepted only for orders over $20 (this was a bit shocking for me), they charge for every little item, couldn't even get a small hot sauce with my take out order ($1, it was already after I paid, and I didn't have cash)

Food is very americanized. Garlick chicken is basically an option from KFC. Extremely slow service.
Very expensive. The server never greeted me. When she took the order, I asked if they had brown rice to go with my kung pao chicken. She said yes and I ordered it. I asked for hot tea. She brought tea that was luke warm. They have no artificial sweetener and she didn’t bring sugar for some time. The tea was too cold to even drink. The meal came with white rice. I pointed it out to her and reminded her I ordered brown. She said they don’t have brown rice. She hurried away, never returned so I couldn’t ask again for hot tea. The kung pao was very bland. There was a fair amount of chicken but no real flavor to this spicy dish. She didn’t actually give me a bill, so I don’t know if the extra $5 included charges for the tea, white rice or both. No thank you or good evening as I left.

I go to this restaurant every weekend to order to go . The waitress there are rude. She never give any condiments and utensils at all. Even I asked. She told me they don’t have it . I would think WDF . Why you open restaurants without giving people napkins and fork or chopsticks. I will recommend you guys not to go there .
I don't want to buy, I ordered a $13 dish and they charged me $19.50 and $2 for a sauce. This restaurant is a fraud. How is it possible that they charge separately for the sauce and the cutlery to carry? Bad experience, that's why it's always empty
Food is below average. The woman who was upfront was rude to my family, when we approached her to ask a question, she barely looked over at us. Do not recommend, youre better off going somewhere else.
Had dinner at this establishment today, I was charged $74 for 3 dishes and 2 sodas, which everything we ordered was under $20. And less than an hour later I would say about half an hour stomach pain was severe. Not only was I over charged, but I also paid $74 for food poisoning. I will never eat here again. I was very disappointed as I like to support small businesses.
