After watching the latest Tournament of Champions: All-Star Christmas season, one of the chefs highlighted, Dale Talde, happened to be the owner this restaurant. We decided to check it out and see what their brunch offerings were, and they do have select bottomless drinks for an added price as well. For an appetizer, we started with the sausage egg and cheese scallion pancake, which had wonderful flavor throughout every bite, great texture on the pancake itself and the cheese was perfectly melted. The only complaint is that I wish there was more! Our main dishes consisted of smoked salmon fried rice and the BBQ stir fry noodles. Both dishes were beautifully presented, and the portions on both were more than sufficient. The noodles on the stir fry were my personal favorite, cooked perfectly and with great flavor from the sauce and char sui used in the dish, and the bok choy made for very refreshing bites. The rice also gave great flavor, with the salmon certainly shining throughout every bite. If you’re in the area and looking for a place to get a nice, elevated brunch (or dinner which I’m sure is great too) experience, Goosefeather is certainly a place to try
Don’t listen to anyone giving this place less than 5 stars. The service was amazing, shoutout to Allen (sp). The atmosphere is fantastic and goose theme was fun and playful and extended to the bathrooms, one of Goose Gossage and the other Goose from Top Gun. The food is out of this world. Brussels sprouts were amazing, the crab rangoon was lighter than air, the fingerling potatoes are probably the best potato dish I have had in years. The peppered beef was always insanely good, but the deserts. You have to, I repeat, HAVE TO try the calamansi snow. Every bite was something new and flavor of that fruit is a perfect balance of lemon/lime with a kiss of grapefruit after taste. Honestly the best dining experience I have had since dining at Groucho in London. Can’t sing the praises of this place enough, all the staff was incredible. Parking is different as it’s on an old estate, but I would walk 5 miles to eat here again.
My experience at Goosefeather was a fascinating study in contrasts, though the kitchen’s brilliance ultimately won me over. Located in a beautiful setting, the restaurant offers a "Top Chef" dining experience that feels modern and upscale. However, the initial impression was a bit rocky; the hosting staff at the reservation stand lacked the polish you’d expect from a fine-dining establishment. There was some awkwardness regarding our arrival and a strange insistence on closing out bar tabs before moving to a table, rather than simply transferring them. Once seated, however, the food was nothing short of extraordinary. The black pepper beef was incredibly tender, and the wings truly do fall off the bone. I was particularly blown away by the lobster and crab stir-fried noodles—the addition of pickled delicata squash made it one of the most unique dishes I’ve ever tasted. Other standouts included the crab fried rice and the shrimp bao buns. For something truly inventive, the tuna with pickled gooseberries offered an "insane" flavor profile. While some vegetable sides felt a little sparse and the rice occasionally leaned toward the drier side, the authentic ingredients and bold flavors are undeniable. It’s a great spot for an adult dinner, though I’d recommend it more for a sophisticated date night than a family outing with kids.
Stopped here before a wedding. Definitely an interesting place, expect American takes on familiar chinese dishes and flavors The setting is an old colonial home which was definitely a fun vibe If you are in the area worth checking out. They also had a decent list of interesting and unique cocktails The dry aged beef potstickers were insane - must try. The other item that blew my mind was the side salad that came with the pork belly, the pork was very tasty but the side salad was top notch flavor combo
This place was awesome. With all the inventive flavors and shareable dishes, each plate was delicious and kept us excited for what came next. The crisp starter salad was refreshing, and the apple pie dumplings for dessert were a lovely finish. The setting is gorgeous, a historic, artsy mansion with charm in every corner. Lastly, the service was top notch, our waiter was knowledgeable and impeccably timed with each course. this hidden gem with its creative food and beautiful location made it a truly memorable experience.
One of the best Asian restaurants in Westchester! Apps and entrees were all hits with the table. The crispy rice and black pepper beef was probably our favorite. Cocktails were also great and the server was very knowledgeable on pairings. The desserts had more of a mixed reaction but our group all had dessert different preferences. Can't wait to go back and try the other menu items.
pictures and words just cannot do this place justice. The lobster and crab stir fried noodles with pickled delicata squash was the absolute best dish I’ve ever had. The crab fried rice, shrimp bao buns, and mashed crispy fingerling potatoes with turmeric caramel were absolutely incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough. Beautiful atmosphere and excellent service as well.
I don’t even know where to begin. My experience here was so magical and lovely and the food was so amazing. It was unique and every bite packed with careful precise flavor. We were waited on by the one and only Izzy. And we felt so taken care of! Izzy was so lovely and personable. I think the best dining experience I’ve ever had because of her kindness and presence. Please pray you get Izzy! The atmosphere so incredible jaw - droppingly beautiful and romantic. I felt like I was in the vampire diaries all evening. I can’t wait to return with someone special again. Thank you Goosefeathers. 100/10
Goosefeather was excellent. The black pepper beef was tender and packed with flavor, extremely authentic ingredients. The spicy salmon tartare was fresh with just the right kick. Pickled gooseberries with the Tuna, insane flavor combination! Great vibe, great spot, I went here twice in a week!
My wife and I went here for our 2nd year anniversary and it did not disappoint. If you’re seeing this in Oct of 2025 go NOW. Why? Because they have special chicken wings that actually fall off the bone. I’ve eaten chicken wings my whole life and I’ve never seen that done and never tasted anything better than at Goosefeather. Fun fact Goose Feather was inspired by Goose Gossage famous Yankee pitcher which is pretty cool. The main dishes were so good and I love how they use peanuts to make the flavors POP. They were very kind to bring us a little mango sorbet for our anniversary too! Everyone there is super nice. Only thing to note is bring physical cards, because they couldn’t figure out how to do the tap to pay and it added 10 mins to our experience.
You absolutely MUST eat at the Goosefeather but be sure to make reservations as they fill up really quickly!! The restaurant is a whole experience in itself!!! It is quite spendy for 20-50$ Chinese shared plate style but everything we ordered was AMAZING! The food was incredible! We ordered the corn with the sweet soy glaze, the wings and the Supreme fried rice. I will dream of the food everyday until we are back. Our service I feel was an unfortunate one off. Our server was far more attentive to the two larger tables surrounding us as far as service and above and beyond. Bobby seemed to be hyper focused on them versus our table of 2. He was never "too busy" but they received 2 courses plus desert before we got our 3rd shared plate. The wait between our 2nd and 4rd couslrse was 27 minutes from the time we finished our 2nd and he realized we were missing something and had to ask. We sat in the back room and he was hard to track down. We receive the check finally and it took 12 minutes to hunt him down to pay. Overall we dined for an hour and 47minutes. It was my 18 year old son and I so we ordered no alcoholic drinks and ordered 3 plates to share with water for beverages. A pretty simple table. Like I said unfortunate. Don't let this detour you from dining because the food was incredible!
Came for Easter brunch (super delayed review). Everything was delicious. The french toast was the most "average" item we ordered, and it was SO GOOD. I don't usually go for sweet things for breakfast/brunch, but was the best thing we had and would go back for it time and time again. The snap pea salad was really light and refreshing. We enjoyed everything we tried. On my list to try for dinner sometime soon.
I came for my birthday and it was a delightful experience! We opted for indoor dining, the atmosphere was upscale yet dressing casually you’d dint feel out of place. You order everything at the beginning and the chef sends out the dishes in the order that they deem appropriate. We had the potstickers first, moist with a side of mustard pesto that packed a punch. Following was the special, clams in a pot of spicy sauce. Next was the whole duck, served over a bed of French toast stuffed with more duck and granola. The best!! Chefs kiss!! Next was the char tsui (pork belly) with a peach marmalade that’ll change your life. Then the charred greens arrived which was a much needed break from the protein. Lastly was the chow fun that had a peanut curry that reminded you of Pad Thai in the shape of a cinnamon roll. We ended the meal with two desserts: apple Rangoon and the special which was a green tea ice cream and churro combo. Everything was delicious. My favorites were the duck and the green tea ices cream/churro dessert. We want to come back for brunch! The staff were so attentive and friendly. 10/01 service and 10/10 food! :)
My wife and I had a wonderful Sunday morning brunch at Goosefeather, and the entire experience was top-notch from start to finish. We were seated outdoors, where the ambiance was peaceful and intimate—nearly to ourselves for most of the morning before the brunch crowd arrived in the afternoon. The setting was serene and made for a perfect, relaxing start to our day. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The hostess was welcoming and kind, and our waitress, Jocey, was phenomenal—attentive, warm, and knowledgeable, with spot-on recommendations. The server and manager were equally hospitable, regularly checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly. As for the food—every dish had its own memorable flavor profile. The fingerling potatoes were crisp and well-seasoned, a great starter. The bacon jam shumai was a standout: sweet, savory, and perfectly balanced. My wife absolutely loved the chicken and mochi waffles—crispy, tender chicken with a unique twist on a brunch classic (though the waffles weren’t my personal favorite). I had the noodle bowl with pork, which was bursting with flavor and is something I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting. For drinks, I tried the “My State of Mind” cocktail—refreshing and delicious, definitely worth ordering. The brunch sangria, while tasty, could’ve used a bit more of a kick—it leaned more toward fruit juice than a true cocktail. On the other hand, my wife was a big fan of the lychee margarita, which she found perfectly balanced and refreshing. We were staying at the property, which made it even better. After brunch, it was lovely to walk the grounds and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. All in all, Goosefeather delivered on every level—flavors, atmosphere, and hospitality. We’ll absolutely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for a dining experience in the Westchester county.
Overall, the food at the restaurant was very good, with a diverse and flavorful menu that catered to all tastes. The ambiance was eclectic and inviting, making it a great spot for any occasion. The service provided by our waitress was incredible, and the food was served in a timely manner. However, the experience was marred by an incident with another staff member who reprimanded us for being 15 minutes late and made us feel rushed and unwelcome. This put a bad taste in our mouths and affected our enjoyment of the meal. Unfortunately, the beef dish we ordered was overly salty, likely due to being rushed, and we ended up leaving most of it on the table. The tuna tartar was the best alongside the fingerling potatoes and stir fried rice. Despite this, we would still recommend the restaurant for its overall good food and service.
I stayed in a Kings Mansion suite so I ate at Goosefeather for 5 days in a row. I'm going to say that I do not think this restaurant really reflects Asian cuisine but it does delightfully include Cantonese and even Filipino elements. First off, I'm going to tell you my absolutely favorite dishes are the brussel sprouts(ordered twice), the king pao chicken wings(ordered twice) and the crown of duck(would order again). The duck is honestly the one thing that tasted like Peking duck, and the Hong Kong toast was a nice change from the usual pancakes that come with Peking duck. It was perfectly flavored and not overly fatty. The brussels had Chinese sausage and a sweet sauce. The chicken wings were very flavorful. I think what this restaurant does well is add a balance of different flavors to each dish. Sweet, salty, smokey, umami, etc. The snow pea salad wasn't my favorite but it was crisp and refreshing to eat. The shrimp and crab noodles were even better the next morning when I ate them cold out the mini fridge. The sausage egg and cheese(Filipino sausage)was good but I feel like the portion was too small, so I had the scallion biscuits with it. I recommend the biscuits. I did not care much for the fingerling potatoes when I had them with dinner (with the wings) but I think if I ate it with the sausage egg and cheese it would've gone well together, since the potatoes are crispy and kind of mapley sweet. The dragon apple rangoon reminded me of how good McDonald's apple pies tasted before McDonald's changed the recipe. Delicious and went well with the ice cream. The calamansi snow was very citrusy and refreshing but very cold to eat in January. It would be my summer recommendation. I drank a lot of green tea here. I really liked the Docs Cider. Honestly, I keep thinking about the duck. I am going to figure out how to make that Hong Kong toast if it is the last thing I do. Big respect to Isabella D for serving me most of the time I was there. Everyone there was so kind and she was most chill. It's a very nice place to sit around in and space out while eating delicious food.
Our visit to Goosefeathers was very good. Being Top Chef fans, it was exciting to visit Dale Talde’s flagship in Tarrytown, NY. We chose to dine Al fresco and were not disappointed as it was a summer Friday and Chef Roger had the amazing outdoor grill going. They treated our kids very well, and service was wonderful all night. We ordered the Chow fun, which was a tasty interpretation. The cocktails were inspired, and just strong enough. I would’ve preferred a bit more seasoning on the halibut, which was steamed on the grill in a banana leave. But otherwise the evening was very good.
Had my first visit to @goosefeatherny and it was amazing! Loved the atmosphere, food, drinks, and service. Drag brunch on Saturday is calling my name! Oh, and that bread and butter...thanks @solsplits for always showing me the good spots to go! You can also get the beautiful beads on my wrist at @obaapaartsandjewelry
We had a great Sunday night dinner at Goosefeather in Tarrytown. The location is beautiful!!!! Tucked away on the grounds of the Tarrytown House Estate, surrounded by greenery and charm. The space itself is stunning: high ceilings, warm lighting, exposed wood, tasteful modern design. Cozy, but still upscale. You instantly feel like you’re somewhere special. We had a 6:45pm reservation and were seated right away. Heads up: it’s a card-only restaurant. Service was fast and super friendly. The team was on point all night, and every dish came out quickly — our appetizers hit the table less than 4 minutes after ordering. Fastest service we’ve ever had, but it didn’t feel rushed. What we ordered: • Burrata & Heirloom Tomato ($28.50) – Beautiful presentation. The honey soy boba was an interesting twist. Probably didn’t need it, but we get where the Asian influence comes in. Still, $30 for tomatoes and cheese is a stretch. • Wok Charred Greens ($17.50) – Really tasty. Loved the slight sweetness from the goji berries. We just wanted an added crunch or a bit more texture — maybe some dehydrated greens or something crispy to elevate it. • Crispy Shrimp Bao ($18.50) – No notes. Two pieces of shrimp per bao. Perfectly executed. Great flavors , balance and textural contrast. • Supreme Rice ($28.50) – One of our favorites. Duck, chorizo, shrimp — it leaned into fusion, and it worked. The chorizo and shrimp really stood out. • Walnut Shrimp ($31.50) – Solid portion (8 jumbo shrimp) and had a nice sweet-savory crunch. But the pickled blueberries were a curveball — they reminded us of fermented black beans, a bit overpowering. Might rethink that component. We didn’t get any cocktails or dessert this time, but we really appreciated the complimentary sparkling water — a classy touch more places should adopt. Overall, we LOVED our dinner!! That said, we wouldn’t necessarily call this a “Chinese” or even a strictly “Cantonese” restaurant. It felt more like modern American with Asian inspiration — experimental in a good way. Many of the dishes worked beautifully, but we came in expecting more traditional Chinese flavors. Just something to note in how the restaurant is positioned. Still, incredible location, stylish space, great service, and mostly excellent food. Would absolutely return. Spent about $70 per person after tax and tip.
All the sauces of the three dishes I tried totally overwhelmed the taste of the major ingredient of the dish. Namely, the Crispy Shrimp Bun: there was no taste of the shrimp but only the hoisin sauce on it and the shrimp was not crispy. The Black Pepper Beef only had the taste of the very very salty brown sauce and had no beef or black pepper taste. The oily Mushroom Rice Noodle had a strong taste of the fermented black bean and not much else with very al dente rice noodle. This fusion interpretation of Chinese food has confused the soul of eating by wrong combination of food ingredients and disguising their real taste which hinders the enjoyment of tasting the best taste of each food ingredient. There is this Chinese saying, “Eating lamb but do not know the taste of lamb.” The best dish of the evening were the desserts: mango sorbet and the mochi blueberry sorbet as real fruits were used. One good thing of all the dishes was no MSG.
I was excited to try this location as it was a Top Chef dining experience. We arrived a little early to our reservation and was asked several times the name. Once they finally found it, they said we had to wait as there were no tables available at this time but we could grab a drink at the bar. The host stand, they're rude, bottom line. Definitely should not be at the reservation stand. We noticed a couple wrapping up their drink and their reservation was ready. As they were being moved to their table, the host asked them to close out their tab. Customers seemed perplexed and the bartender told the hostess he got it, I would assume it would be transferred to their tab. The hostess still stood there in awkwardness asking the bartender if he was sure. I'm not sure why such incompetence is hired for this fine dining establishment. We had the wings which were great, honestly agree they fall off the bone. We had the beef entree and I must say it was good despite the fact they broccoli wad lacking heavily along with other veggies and a gravy. The rice was enough for 2 servings but I was disappointed by the dryness and the lack of veggies of the dish. Tried the blueberry dessert and must say the price point is a little obnoxious. The bartender presented it a a cheesecake crumble to which it was not. It was a scarce slither of cheesecake cream to the bottom of the dish which did not help balance out the tartness of the blueberry sorbet. The mochi waffle was a bit heavy. The cocktails were okay. Very small for $20 a drink and really did not taste the alcohol or more so felt it. As a fine dining establishment, this was a disappointment and a disaster. We decided to stay at the bar and have dinner because we really didn't feel like having any more terrible service. The bartender was nice and accommodating.
