Chicken was cooked to perfection very moisture and tender but definitely done! Would highly recommend!

I went to the drive thru and ordered fried fish for my husband and chicken strips for the kids and two piece rotisserie chicken with a nice side salad for me. I was impressed with the young man that waited on me. He made sure everything was correct.

Fast food but vegetable/sides numerous and tasty so I can feel like I'm eating healthy-baked chicken,Mac & cheese, green beans that tastes like seasoned with bacon-ice cream cone if you eat in. Catfish as good as anywhere in Taylor too. Feel like I had a real meal-no junk food there.

Many chicken shacks all over the US, but this one seems to standout above the rest. The chicken tenders are always perfect, the regular chicken is very good and the fish is better than most places that serve fish....

I've been eating golden chick since I was a kid, and it's always consistently on point and fresh! The sauce is better than Raising Cane's and the prizes are much better.

First off... I have never been into a Golden Chick before. So walking into this Golden Chick I was very surprised at how nice it was. It is very clean and decorated cute with a warm Texas vibe. With a sweet smiling face at the cash register and a manager/owner getting the job done behind the scenes. Super impressed. I have gone through the drive-thru a few times and ordered delivery and the food has always been great no matter what!

My Thursday night treat! I don't get out of class until about 9:20 p.m. and so it's great to be able to run by there and get something that's still fresh and hot even though it's close to closing time. Love those yummy rolls & iced tea especially! They have several young people that work there and I have complimented them to their face as well as to their manager they just really have a great attitude you know even if it's 10 minutes so close and friendly you know it's can't be beat they're really good people.

Well of course me and my wife eat here for the first time I have never tasted any chicken like this ever in my life the service was amazing and the food was great y'all I'm A UA traveler you well never find service or food like this any we're els but Taylor Texas ya'll is a slices of Heaven I would recommend to anyone passing or visiting Taylor Texas.

We Love Golden Chick. The chicken tenders are fresh, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the gravy is good and the rolls are out of this world fantastic. I always buy an extra dozen to keep in the freezer. Plus the free soft serve ice cream.for any in store purchase is a nice touch. Now if they only carried Coca Cola products. ;)

It's just chicken? But the young man that waited on my tonight was outstanding. We had extremely polite, he listen to my order, as follow up question to make I didn't forget something.....and I did and then he ran it out to the truck thinking that I wanted to go went I went out to charge my phone. I was very impressed with him. I think they called him TJ. Oh, and the chick was good as well.

Fast service. But mainly I tried golden chick in Richardson tx and one in Taylor and one in roundrock. Taylor one was my favorite. Usually chicken are to oily or to dry. This place in Taylor next to Samsung site had the perfect none greasy but not dry perfect chicken that reminded me of chicken I ate in korea that had perfect balance.

Went in at lunch time the place was clean and such a good vibe. It was busy but everyone was on the ball! Especially the owner/manager he was working hard, great to see him leading by example. And food was delicious!

Love it. When ever I make a trip to Taylor, I stop there to eat. On Fridays or Saturdays after work since I'm near by, I go eat me some good chicken with a cold rootbeer and three rolls...you just gotta have them. Friendly staff and clean environment too. Great job.

I have lived in Taylor for 5 years. I eat here probably 3 times a month and look 4ward to it everytime!! Staff is great! The food is pretty solid and well portioned.. This is for sure the best fast food place in Taylor! I have never encountered bad service. This place hires quality employees who are friendly and professional!

best fast food chicken in Austin. However I would be remiss not to mention the state of the toilet. One weary night after picking up my delicious delights I needed to use the restroom at the premises, I noticed upon sitting down that the toilet was a little wobbly. I got on my knees and started searching around the base of the toilet locating a loose bolt at its base. Not only that but now my hands were saturated with abysmal fluids of unknown origin. Other than that it's 5 stars.

We love this place. I bring my yankee family home to Texas every 4th of July and we have to stop here every visit. Good deals on family sized bundles. Good assortment of sides, we favor the okra, mashed potatoes and dirty rice. I’ve never had dry chicken here. Service is always quick. Most of the time the soft serve is in working order. Overall great place to get a quick lunch.

We love going here. Huge portions of yummy food. I always make a big family order, today I made it early to eat birthday lunch with our daughter at school. The app put pickup at an hour out instead of asap so when I went inside it wasn’t finished yet. They had the whole huge order out together within 5 minutes. Chicken tenders are always good. Sometimes the thighs and legs are little on the dry side. Catfish is dry and greasy and they are on the small side. Golden Chick is a little overpriced if you ask me.

Their tenders are the best and gravy is super. Macaroni and dirty rice leave some to be desired. Bone in portions are humongous. The restrooms are usually clean but it can get super busy during busy times.

Chicken is served often luke warm off and on... even after many reviews and me consistently informing them off the cold/lukewarm chicken dinning in or thru drive thru now I think they either don't care or feel it's normal or ok.. I just politely ask for hot chicken and rolls...be sure to ask them for it Hot! They got you and you will be fine....(just like we have to tell McDonald's hot fries no salt type of thing) I think they don't know...but the food is usually good when they are on point..

Only thing I can say bad is the rice needs to be stired well when squeezed out of those bags they come in or you dont get a tasty product. The green beans... when you open the can and put it in that quarter pan and then put the seasoning mix into it, put the lid on and hold it tight and shake it. It mixes it well. The mashed potatoes, same, mix it well, all the corners. Gravy, put mix in that round pot, put maybe a quarter of the water in the bainmarie, take that whisk and spin it between your hands mixing it up then put remaining water in and mix. I know when time is going, they don't want to always double batter the chicken, there's a reason. If you dont it dries the skin and meat out. The second layer makes it what golden chick is all about. Great fried chicken. I rest my case. Are you hiring? LOL

Really good chicken. The manager chased me down to give me rolls I didn’t even know I was missing. A+ for the extra effort on already good service. Bonus is their ice cream machine 👊👊👊.

My first visit. I got the 3 piece roasted chicken. I like the glaze on it. Flavorful and slightly sweet. Came with a salad which was nice. I will go there again when in Texas.

I've been visiting this Taylor location quite a bit over the past few months after working on our rental house. I really like how each combo is served in a good quality plastic container compared to the flimsy boxes the food is normally served in. I live the jalapeño poppers and they are a must-have every time I go. The tea is good. I can't stand when the tea tastes like it's been left out overnight. So far, the tea has tasted fresh. The employees are young and pretty friendly. Sometimes, it's hard to hard to hear the person taking my order at the drive thru. They need to turn up the volume. But they have always gotten my order right, and I have yet to have to pull around and go inside because they forgot something. That's a huge plus. I will say, though, that the chicken tenders do not seem to have much flavor at all. They ate pretty bland. I have to add salt when I order them. Luckily, the gravy has flavor. The chicken breast seems to have good flavor, just not the chicken tenders. Which is bummer because that's what we like to order most of all when there are more than 2 of us sharing the food. All in all, this is a good Golden Chic. Looks clean inside. The drive thru goes pretty fast. It's not real fast but decent. Worth visiting.

The chicken and fish are good. The rolls are hit and miss as well as the fries. But they're little egg machine with toys in it for kids it's full of rubber bands and garbage inside the eggs. Not worth the 50 cents to see what you get inside an egg and it has broken my children of the desire to put money in a vending machine. Thank you

The 25 minute drive-thru only service line could not have been any slower. Service was prompt, friendly, and polite after getting to the window. The chicken was hot, and fresh, the okra could have been a little more crisp til browned. Overall, we ate, and got full for a small fee, hehe!

Golden chick can be hit or miss sometimes. I find that certain locations the food taste better then others. Overall I like to eat here. My favorite location for Tenders is in Killeen, TX on Old 440,if your ever over that way.

30 min drive thru wait with most tables empty. Once the food comes it's good. But note - not fast at all! Slow AF.

Visited twice in the drive through and both times my order was wrong. Paid for items I didn't receive. Enjoyed the items that were correct. I may visit again, though will make sure my order is correct before leaving the window.

The cashier was EXTREMELY rude! When she handed us our order, she shut the window before I could ask her a question. We waited patiently for her to turn around but she never did so I honked the horn. I asked if she placed any forks in the bag. Her response "You didn't order anything that needed a fork!" Seriously! Who EATS HOT chicken tenders with their fingers? Chicken was good though!

The food was pretty good, besides the multiple mistakes and missing food. The restaurant was nasty. When I sat down, my pants, literally, stuck to my chair. I had to peel them off to stand up. Meh.

Been coming here for awhile since Ioved to Taylor. Always good food. The chicken is good and that got a good special going on right now for the dark meat. But anyways new french fries are terrible. They switched them from the breaded fries they used to have. They used to be seasoned and perfect. These new fries are like frozen bagged french fries you can buy from HEB. Will never order the fries here again.

I'm a little upset about the staff one guy in particular. I took my chicken sandwich back because it was cold and the bun was cold. I don't normally take food back for redoing or replacing. But his slumber attack attitude made me do just that. Yes I contemplated before hand on doing that so of course the sandwich was frozen by the time I reported it to him. So my inner emotions had to calm down and just take it!! For this is why the stars are low, other than that I really love Golden Chick.

I've gone here twice the first time was ok, I stopped in this last time to grab two sweet teas and was charged seven dollars for two drinks. I think I'll just grab my tea from chicken express.

First time going to this place, I love Golden Chick. The chicken was not crispy tasted dough under cooked. The rolls had no flavor and tea was watered down. They Do not offer military discounts. I will not be going back to the one in Taylor, the Golden Chick in Pfligerville is so much better and they do offer military discounts.

Me and my family love this place. Not sure if they changed owners, recently have hired a lot of new faces. Today I had by far the worse experience here. The young lady in the drive thru was extremely rude and very unprofessional. She was bothered by my request for Zingy, she looked straight in my face rolled her eyes 👀 gave me the Zingy and slammed the window. Golden Chick is a go to here in Taylor and I would just love to have people who are happy to work! I mean we all have bills and we all have bad days! This young lady and few others do this all the time. I tend to let it go but I would hate for us to loose Golden Chick due to some bad eggs. I really hope the owners takes these reviews seriously. I even called Golden Chick and was told they have no managers in at the moment I asked to speak to Nate who is the owner son and was told he can’t speak at the moment. I’m extremely disappointed and very sad!!

I went there today and only ordered two meals and it took them 15 minutes to make it. They ran out of chicken and they didn’t give us mac & cheese or the gravy that I ordered therefore I gave them one star😁👍

What has happened to your tenders? Weird pieces of chicken full of gristle and inedible! It's like you chopped off the big gristley fatty piece off the end of the breast and use it as your tenders now. So disappointed. I thought it was a fluke and tried them again. I ordered a two-piece combo Fried Chicken I asked for a breast and a thigh the breast was so burnt and had black stuff all over it I took it back and I asked them if they could change out my whole combo they said no only the breast ask them if they could eat it they just took it and brought me another one and asked me if it was okay it was burnt but not as bad I told them no so they brought me another one I accepted it now I have cold gravy cold french fries I will never ever ever come back to this Golden Chick in Taylor again and I love fried chicken

Came to Golden Chick Wednesday evening spent 68.00 on chicken. It was so tough and hard we could barley eat it. Probably the worst we have ever gotten there. Rolls were also cold. Whats up guys?

I was very disappointed when I got home with a family size pack for dinner and no spicy seasoning was included. I drove back to the store and asked for the seasoning. I was questioned by the manager about my purchased. She finally agreed to give me 3 !! of the seasoning packages. I explained I drove all the way back just for it. For that reason she handed me 2 more no without saying that next time I better remember to ask for the seasoning at the time of my puchase........there won't be next time.

I spent $42 on the family tenders and 3 sides, not very enjoyable, gristle in almost every tender, a single serving of gravy was all I was given for the whole bucket box of tenders. My grandkids spent $2 in the chicken machine, and didn’t get one egg too fall. The help was less than responsive, downright apathetic I would say. We won’t be back.

This is the second time I’ve come to this restaurant to pick up my food and it wasn’t ready. Also the second time Patricia ignored me at the counter for 5+ minutes. Not only that but she has a poor attitude.

Worst chicken I've ever had. The chicken tenders were so tough and hard I couldn't eat them. The fries were flavorless and cold. My tea was more ice than anything and it was extremely watered down. Management needs to step it up. Poor service will destroy as business

Food was not flavorful at all. I had to drown the chicken in hot sauce and salt to taste anything. The mashed potatoes weren't any better. The best part of the meal was the root beer.

It should not take 40 minutes for an order of fries. If it's going to take a while for whatever reason, it would be a good idea to communicate that with customers who ordering something small.

Ordered a 3 PC with 2 thighs and paid the extra for a breast. I got the breast and 2 wings. The chicken was very obviously from what was left over from yesterday. It was, tough, dry and cold. Most anyone has had left over fried chicken knows that it is obvious. Just for good measure, there was no gravy with my mashed potatoes and gravy. I will be sure to let other folks out here at the conductor plant site to stay clear of this place and to order from chicken express or the other places in Hutto.

I visited Golden Chick this past Sunday and when I got to my destination I discovered my order was missing a couple pieces. I said no big deal I'll let the manager know. I tried calling and didn't get an answer. So I called Monday and asked for the manager and Patricia got on the phone. I told I was calling to let her know I was missing some my order. Before I could finish my statement, she immediately got defensive and told me it was no way my order could be short, because she was counting the chicken when one of the employees was making my order. So I asked, what time did I place my order. She said about an hour ago. I told her I came the day before and she immediately said she couldn't replace my order without me even asking for a replacement. I called corporate and left a voicemail about the service I received, and still haven't heard back. This is the worst customer service I've experienced in a very long time. I wonder does she take the extras home at closing?

Ordered online to avoid the wait, we wound up getting here about 10 minutes early. Decided to wait it out until the estimated time as a courtesy. 10 minutes go by, still nothing, so we call since there was no line in the drive through. No answer, but we can see the employees inside passing the phone around, and we get disconnected. At this point, the dinner rush had began. We call a second time around 15 minutes later, and the same thing happened, but one of the employees pointed at our car a couple times. Still nothing. Decided to call a third time with no answer, so we were forced to wait EVEN longer in the drive through line. Horrible service. I understand being busy during prime time rush hour, but when we arrived, there was no one in line, so there's no excuse for someone to not answer the phone, especially after pointing us out.

Just spent 35 dollars at the drive through then asked for a cup of water. I was told I would be charged for it unless I came into the store. We go there every week. Well, not anymore! I will take my $140 month I normally spend there somewhere else. I will miss the food, but it is the principalities that matter most. You have got to be kidding me. Ps...the worker told me it was to get people to buy more stuff, but he had no problem giving me plenty of extras...WHATEVER! I just wanted a cup of water!

Chicken was overcooked, and cheddar peppers have been out for a while. I'm not one to return food but should have today. Taters were great. 1st time being dissatisfied at a golden chick.

Customer service has gone downhill. No one is friendly. They’re just ready to shove your order out. It wasn’t like this months ago. Then again I see new management and new employees. Anyhow, my tenders were small & cold, when chewing it was like chewing on rubber. Poppers were cold as well. I won’t be back for a long while.

We love our local Golden Chick. Except for today. The wife and I swung by to pick up a family meal as usual. The chicken tenders and rolls were half the size they usually are, which is not our complaint. It was the quality.😔 The chicken was old cold and hard. The rolls seemed stiff and brittle. Sorry local GC, very disappointed this time. 😔

It's sad to go to Golden Chick especially when you're already tired and all you want to do is just grab some chicken and go home and sit down and get to eat a meal for the night and it's sad whenever you got to sit there open the bags to find out that the people working there doesn't take their time to put everything in the bags the proper way I get a bag a bag full of gravy that was filled all over the box of mashed potatoes there was no gravy left but they're quick to take the money but they're not quick to correct their employees to do a better job this is a pitiful shame that they don't take their time to do something right

The drive thru line is always long and it’s slow. When you go in to order, no one greets you. We stood there for five minutes. There were several employees behind the counter and they’d look at us then just walk off. It’s happened several times so we just won’t go here anymore. Add it to the list of restaurants in this town that are so terrible we’d rather go to hutto or round rock.

The chicken tenders were dry. They were also out of honey. When we went to the ice cream machine they were out of cones, so we asked for some. The worker comes back with 1 in a napkin, so I ask for 2 more. As he is getting the other 2 I try to get Ice Cream. Turns out it’s empty, the kids before us filled up their medium cups. They don’t want to refill it because “Nobody wants Ice Cream at night.”. Never get dinner and ice cream after 6pm.

This place is horrible. I have given them so many chances and every time they screw up my order. I have the easiest order 3 chicken sandwiches 1 spicy and 2 classic one of the classics no sauce but every time they give us 1 classic with sauce and two spicy. I unfortunately can not have spice so I am doubled over in pain. I have given them plenty of chances and they always don’t care and mess it up. It’s not like we have tons of places in Taylor to eat from and I just wish people who work fast food would care more and not just be there for a paycheck and to hang out with friends.

I used to go here almost 2 times a week minimum. I went here 2 days ago and got not cook3d chicken straps during my lunch break. I called them and spoke w a Tiana who said they'd replace it, but when I came back 2 days later to get it replaced after getting food poisoning fr raw chicken straps, I bring receipt as stated, and the employees all treat me like I'm lying and argue w each other in the back for 10 minutes and each employee staring and talking under their breath. This is not how you treat a guest that yall made sick w raw chicken. After today I will never support this location ever again.
