Visiting from out of town for the weekend and made this our go to spot. Was blown away the first day we came, so had to come back. I had the lavender latte with oat milk the first day. And then the Matcha chai latte with oat milk the 2nd day. My daughter in law had a pumpkin spiced latte and she said it was the best she’s ever had. We also had several pastries and couldn’t get enough! This place knows what they are doing and I will definitely be making a stop the next time I’m driving to SF! SO GOOD!!!
Not pictured is the most amazing cinnamon roll I’ve ever had.. it was that good! I was overwhelmed by drink options they all sounded so yummy, very happy with the Dulce latte that was recommended to me. One of those coffees you know at first glance will be good to the last drop. Will definitely be back!
We visited Black Oak Coffee Roasters today and we were delighted with the service, pastries and coffee! Whenever me and my family visit ukiah, black oak is a must-visit for us. I got a brown sugar iced latte with oatmilk and it was perfect, not too sweet and just right. My parents got double breves and they said they were the best breves they have had!
I love this cafe! You can see they care about the details. I appreciate the variaty of coffee drinks, especially the seasonal ones. I tried homemade pumpkine spice latte and it was delicious, as was the breakfast sandwich and raspberry jam pastry. 🫶🏼✨
Ukiah Black Oak coffee rosters is not only the best coffee shop in town but one of the best ones throughout the 101 route and, I dare to say, the Emerald Triangle. Upscale and community gathering place all at once. I always enjoy their season creations ( they tend to be on the sweeter side). I’ve tried all mochas, all amazing, with my favorite being the Borgia Mocha (there’s something elegant and subtly festive about orange and chocolate). Sometimes I order the espresso shake, which is a perfect afternoon pick me up decadent “I deserve it” treat for the 2hours ride back home in the Bay. Other days I go just a latte so I can taste the high-quality beans. I’ve loved everything I’ve ordered throughout the years. They have 10% off bagged coffee sales on Mondays. Their location is perfect, free parking: coming from the Bay Area is about 2 to 2 1/2 hours into the 101N, which makes it ideal to use restroom and hit the road back singing happy with coffee made to perfection and doubling as energizing incense in the car. Their food is amazing too (turkey pesto sandwich, quinoa salad and jalapeño cheddar scones super yum!)
Yumm! Very very tasty scones and biscuits (jalapeño!)-- and the Red Velvet Latte was surprisingly delicious (whipped cream cheese topping?! Yes please, on everything), get one while they're in!
Huge, spacious coffee shop with high ceilings and large windows to light up the amazing offerings. We visited on a hopping Sunday. Even with the traffic, our wait was short and our drinks were fabulous. We tried the spring seasonal offerings and that lemon meringue latte may have changed my life - SO good! Picked up a t-shirt, and a strong desire to return to Ukiah for this great coffee!
My go-to coffee and breakfast sandwich place in Ukiah. The staff are super friendly and the coffee is perfect. I love an iced Americano and the golden milk latte.
I would absolutely stop here again on my road trip. You can see them roasting their own coffee beans behind a glass wall. The whole place is a little big and intimidating, but it smells wonderful. The staff is friendly and It has clean bathrooms according to my husband. Lots of whole milk, almond milk, oat milk, etc. Really nice latte options. I got the Mayan mocha. Rather than having just a little bit of red pepper or whatever it is. They sprinkle on top. It actually had more of a smoky dark flavor that I thought was really interesting and a nice change of pace. The chocolate chip cookies my kids ordered were delivered hot and gooey. The sandwiches looked very inviting but we weren't in a position to eat. If I had to complain about anything, it's that their parking lot was very small compared to how popular it is!. But they can't really do anything about that. Just a fair warning that it might be busy and you might have to park adjacent or next door and walk through some bushes. 5 stars
This is hands-down the best coffee shop in town! They roast their own beans in-house, which you can truly taste in the quality and depth of their brews. I haven’t tried much of the menu yet, but the nitro cold brew is phenomenal—smooth with a rich hazelnut flavor and a clean finish. I especially appreciate that they serve it without ice, which keeps the flavor intact (unlike other places that water it down). The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality. I also tried the chocolate chip cookie, which was $4—but honestly worth every penny. It was fresh, soft, and generously sized. The shop itself has a welcoming, cozy vibe with plenty of indoor seating—perfect for conversation, studying, or working on a laptop (free Wi-Fi included). It’s also proudly a safe LGBTQ+ space, which makes it even more inviting and inclusive. There’s also some outdoor seating for people-watching, and about seven parking spots in the lot plus street parking right out front, which is super convenient. My only gripe is that it can get a little messy. I wiped down my own table and there was food on the floor. If you’re looking for great coffee, a comfortable atmosphere, and good vibes, this place is a gem. I’ll definitely be back to try more!
I am glad we stopped by on our way passing through town. I love good coffee and this one was a home run. Great pastries and I had the lavender oatmilk latte.
So impressed with this coffee shop I can’t believe it’s so far from where I’m from but it’s great on your way up to 101! Super good gluten-free maple cookie as well and the coffee flavors great. One of the barista also designed the T-shirt so make sure you buy one.
Fun coffee shop with tasty treats. Blueberry muffin was delish. Ordered two of their popular coffee, lovers lane and brown sugar vanilla.
I always go out of my way to visit. This shop has the best coffee roasted in northern CA. they offer a diverse range of coffees including single origin light roasts, and medium and dark blends. They have good selection of decaffeinated beans as well. Their pour over coffee is delicious but their drip coffee is also great with a single-origin on tap in the mornings. Their espresso drinks are well crafted with unique flavors. Food is always high quality and delicious. The building is a little large so it can get loud during busy times but it is a very comfortable space first thing in the morning.
This place is spacious with plenty of tables. The large windows create a vibrant atmosphere, while the decor gives a vintage vibe. I loved it. The hot chocolate is top-notch; even with oat milk, which might have slightly altered the flavor, I still highly recommend it.

What a local roaster / coffee shop should be! Great roasts, food selection, coffee, and customer service - if you're in Ukiah or passing through, stop in!

Great spot for a roadtrip pitstop, it is spacious, plenty seating and coffee options. They roast their own coffee and saw other cafés in the area use their beans. Their hot chocolate and latte are okay.

Received a sampler pack through the Grasshopper Adventure Series last year and loved it. We have been getting a biweekly subscription ever since! Love the customer service and the coffee. Thanks so much!
Amazing coffee! Highly recommend if you’re in the area. They have a variety of styles and also limited edition seasonal drinks as well.
Beautiful large, clean, modern cafe on the corner with very delicious house coffee, better than Philz, better than Blue Bottle and Peet's. Would not recommend their variety coffee as they taste wildly... different from their house coffee which we got as Americanos. Lovely to find such a great place in Ukiah!
Food was good taste like any other cafe. The hibiscus tea was delicious and the espresso the most bitter I’ve ever tried which I Liked. Tables were a little messy & the cashier glanced and ignored me when I try to put in a second order, please acknowledge your customers a simple “we’ll be with you shortly” would do. With all that said. I will be coming back for the Tea 😋
Great spot, with a chill vibe. Their specialty copies are really good, I definitely recommend the Lovers Lane latte and the lavender latte. Nice to smell coffee roasting when they do it. And their whole bean coffee or ground coffee offerings are really good as well. I’m glad that Ukiah has something like this as opposed to just the large corporate chain.
Great atmosphere. Small town cafe with upbeat and friendly staff. Brewer is in the back that can be seen through the glass. Clean shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Dulce de latte was good, lavender latte was alright, blueberry muffin warmed up was perfect.

Really good coffee in a hip spot Im disappointed to see that nothing has changed in the last 3 years—your company still charges an extra $1 for plant-based milk. If its an alternative (not an addition) to dairy milk, it shouldnt come with a surcharge. Cows milk in coffee is not an option for many of us—its gross to some, inaccessible for the lactose intolerant, and not aligned with vegan or plant-based lifestyles. Please consider being more inclusive and compassionate toward those who choose (or need) plant-based options. 🌱🤲
I ordered a light roast Wush Wush coffee online, but the beans I received were much darker than a true light roast should be. It’s disappointing to see such a premium coffee like Wush Wush not being showcased to its full potential. American specialty roasters really need to refine their roasting standards and move beyond the “Starbucks-style” approach. There’s a lot to learn from roasters in Europe, South Korea, and even the Middle East, where roast profiles are far more precise and true to label.
