Amazing breakfast…..big portions with fast and friendly service! They ran out of spicy links and asked if they could sub linguica instead. Didn’t know what it was but agreed. It was delicious and was probably better than the spicy links. Denver omelette and children’s meal were equally ample and delicious.

Great little breakfast place. Very friendly staff, quick service, good quality food at very fair prices. They also have a nice little patio at the front. I'll definitely be back! I also very, very rarely give 5 stars as no place is perfect... But this gets 5 because they have done so well across all the areas I mentioned. Great stuff!

Loved the food over here. Seating area does not seem to be big enough to accommodate the weekend rush. But again, it doesn't take long to get seated once you've noted down your name. Went there on a weekend after reading the good reviews. I found at least 10 - 14 people already waiting before me due to which I ordered for a take out. Ordered for a chicken Benedict and I absolutely loved it. Looking forward to come back for more..

The iced coffee Is really good for a restaurant that isn't also a cafe. I got the veggie omelette and added hotlinks and it was very very good. My favorite brunch spot, but sometimes the workers give odd vibes. Based solely on the food, this place is very good. Also really like the outdoor seating, and how they allow dogs to eat there.

Love coming here. Vibe is always on point and food is even better. Major plus, this place is dog friendly so we bring our dog to sit in the front patio. Staff brings out a water bowl for our old boy too 🥹

The benedict selection is the best in the east bay, the crabby cake Benedict is beyond perfect. If you eat breakfast, you owe it to yourself to come here.

Employees/Young Ladies Working The Counter And Kitchen Are All Amazing! Super sweet personalities and they make the place feel like home for new people. Would definitely recommend to anyone stopping by or exiting Bart at union city. Sf Native <3

This breakfast spot is one of the best places in town. The earliest to open 7am. The food is delicious and the price is reasonable. I’m a regular and I’ve been a customer since 2010.

Very warm and personable staff. Consistent food quality. I get the 3 egg combo with corned beef hash and am never disappointed. Sure, I have eggs and bacon at home but coming here is a vibe. Love supporting this small business.

Food and service is excellent. Their bloody mary was good. It's a small place but I liked it. The entrance is a bit tricky but not too hard to find.

Went in for breakfast with my hubby the first time a couple Sundays ago— My order came with three eggs and I was able to get one of them sunny side up and the other two scrambled. Great portion size. Husband ordered pancakes from the early bird part of the menu— and he liked that they were nice and large. If I had noticed the early bird section while looking at the menu initially, I probably would’ve ordered from there instead, but it was really good to have leftovers as a snack later :)

The Skillet with Linguisa was just perfect, and shall be back here for breakfast, anytime in Union City. Cannot wait to try lunch ! As an Easy Coast Transplant, compliments are earned, not given. And this place passes in flying Colors.

One of my favorite go-to breakfast spots. I go for the yummy food and excellent service. My favorite go to is the breakfast burrito or the chicken melt. (Usually with a side of kimchi also). If you love a good mustardy cheese chicken sandwich, please order. Breakfast combos are light and always be sure to order your potatoes crispy. I go to break your fast once every other week, please check it out.

I recently tried Break Your Gast cafe in Union City, California, and I'm thrilled to share my positive experience. I opted for the Korean BBQ bowl to go, which was a delightful mix of rice, lettuce, sautéed mushrooms, and chicken coated in a flavorful teriyaki sauce. What impressed me even more was that on December 25th, they were open, adding an extra layer of convenience and warmth to my dining experience. Grateful for the delicious food and the accommodating service – definitely a spot worth visiting!

Great place to eat a quick freshly cooked breakfast! We got there around 815am on a Friday and there were few tables indoors available (there were roughly 5 tables indoor and about 4 tables outdoor). It got busy starting 830am. We were given menus quickly and there is early morning special from 7am to 9am for 3 options for $7.50. I asked if the meat can be sub to vegetarian option, and the answer is can be subbed for potatoes or fruits. So FYI if you are vegetarian and want to take advantage of the early morning special. Food was good, not super oily, right taste, and more importantly, came out fast. The restaurant is in a corner of the plaza, sort of tucked away. There is one unisex restroom available for use. Definitely a good option for breakfast/brunch!

Chicken and waffles. Freshly squeezed orange juice. Crisp waffles with deep recesses. Beignets. Eggs Benedict. Delicious coffee. Perfectly cooked bacon. All of these things are done so we keep returning. Unfortunately D. had a less than spectacular Croque madame with an unappealing salad.....but that was ONCE. I can sympathize but I'm still enthusiastic. Go for the breakfast treats. Return for the breakfast treats and the warm, friendly and efficient staff that looks after your every need. UPDATE 2MAR18 This is the only place I've been to where I'm compelled to pull out phone and table pictures. It's not something I feel obligated to do just because; the quality of the food here is solid and deserves my effort. The service is equally as impressive, but I don't know if photographing our server would be appropriate. Anyways: excellent good at more than fair prices. Just go. You won't be disappointed.

This is my favorite breakfast spot! It's super cute and the staff are very friendly. All the food is delicious but the best thing are the begnets! It's right across the street from Union City BART. The portions are generous and the coffee flows freely.

This place is cozy and the food is delicious! It can be best described as a mondern diner. The staff was polite and efficient and the food was good. I'm totally coming back to try more food from their menu. The eggs for their benidicts are perfect!

Good place; with great food for brunch and lunch; they have a special early bird breakfast around 9:00 am special price. Need to wait around 15 min because it’s a small place

Break Your Fast is my new favorite place! The food here is top notch! They have a spinach salad with strawberries & walnuts and a strawberry vinigarette dressing, that is to die for! They also have an Asian Chicken Salad that is amazing! They had run out of strawberries one day, the server suggested the Asian Chicken Salad, and promised that I would LOVE it. And he was not wrong! Now when I go there, I have such a hard time deciding between the two! They even serve mimosas and drinks! I think this is a little family owned place, and the service is fantastic. They even remember you when you come back! I LOVE Break Your Fast!

Yummy diner type food with great customer service. We got a mix of breakfast and lunch foods and it really hit the spot for everyone. Also, the staff was so accommodating and thoughtful. They hadn't set up their outdoor seating, but immediately set up for us when requested and made my daughter's birthday brunch feel special.

An adorable little spot with the nicest hostess. A great selection of breakfast options. I went with the chicken cutlet Benedict and it was very good and a decent portion. The coffee was great too. The beignet was not exactly traditional, a bit heavy but still crispy and delicious. No regrets. Highly recommended.

We went here twice before reviewing. In summary, the place is mediocre. Food ranges from disappointing to decent. Pros: friendly staff nice atmosphere. Cons: food was no better than what you could make at home. The hamburger, is not worth buying. The breakfast food is decent. The most obvious flaw is poor management. You walk in the door, there is a sign saying "please wait here" and the first thing the waitress says is to please wait outside. Then they ask you to stand in line as opposed to putting names on a list. The outdoor seating is covered with 3 umbrellas, which is a novice mistake as not a single table is comfortably covered in shade. They could make more money and service more guests if they just bought more umbrellas. This place has a lot of potential... But management really needs to work harder.

I figured I would try a new breakfast restaurant, and a family owned joint is always my first choice. My order came out super quick, which is good but I’m really not sure how you make eggs, sausage, and potatoes in 3 minutes and it was cold when it got to the table. Girlfriend said the French toast was good but a bit dry. Server had a power attitude, and I was a little put off by the black power sticker on the window. Say hi to billy the bum out front.

My experience, for the price you paid and food quality you got, you will get better tasty food at McDonald's. Serice is great! Fish and chips and basicuit looks like out of frozen pre made tv dinner. Country fried steak is very thin and below average taste. Best part of our order is rice bowl and beignets. Our tea is bit old. .

I really wanted to enjoy this place because of the reviews, however my 1st visit I ordered a cheeseburger and my partner ordered egg whites w/ turkey sausage. After taking a huge bite I then noticed my bun was a blue green color, it was VERY molded, at the same time my partners way undercooked eggs were watering around the plate on the sausage he said was also undercooked. We had to apologize to the nice waiter that we had lost our appetite. He then offered to replace the meal our next visit. So we decide to go back and give them another shot. I ordered the country breakfast and after eating half a biscuit, I smelled something, off. The gravy tasted and smelled extremely sour. My partner at this point just wanted them to know to check the gravy so other people will not have this experience. She then said that is how their gravy is suppose to smell. I grew up in North Carolina and lived off biscuits and gravy, this was the most disgusting soured old gravy. Strongly do not recommend this place!
