Casual elegance, cloth napkins, bugers, crispy chicken, drinks and meatloaf. I got the French Dip, thin fries and mashed potatoes because: potatoes! Not overly seasoned, very yummy with large portions. I also got the Lavender Lemonade (the bee's knees) and a smoky old fashioned that served. Very enjoyable experience and plan to go again. 2 drinks, entree, side dish and deser less than $80 and I'll have enough for dinner, too!
The exterior is deceptively simple with a fun and funky atmosphere on the inside. Ashley was on point with attentive service. The loaded tater tots were fresh and crispy with so much flavor. The brisket sandwich had smokey, char cubes of meaty deliciousness. The fries were crispy with just the right amount of salt. An excellent meal and worth the visit.
So, beyond obsessed! The artichokes are grilled to perfection, the deconstructed tacos are to die for, their wine selection and signature cocktails are excellent…. And their staff go above and beyond! PLUS there is a patio. I almost want to give less stars just because I don’t want it to get too busy.
Little Tavern is exactly what you want in a neighborhood spot that gets it. Upscale pub food done right, without taking itself too seriously (which I deeply appreciate). We went for happy hour and enjoyed the Atlantic Dip (made with in-house smoked salmon), queso, and deviled eggs all devoured. The French dip was meaty and flavorful, paired with perfectly crispy skinny fries. (Forgot to take a photo before I was eating) I thought I was full until the blueberry bread pudding showed up and proved there is always room for dessert. Absolutely delicious. The signature cocktails were yummy and well crafted. My only critique is that they should be included in the happy hour menu. If you’re listening, Little Tavern… just saying. 😉 It was a busy Friday night during stock show, and service was still very good. This location has seen a lot of restaurants come and go,( in fact, the old reviews from F1 should be removed). I truly hope Little Tavern keeps the momentum going. I’ll be making it one of my neighborhood favorites and hope others will too.
In a world of creamy espresso martinis let me introduce you to the best espresso martini. If you don’t like espresso martinis, that’s fine, Jennifer can make you anything at a superior quality at the bar — not to mention she’s hilarious — but also the smokehouse is amazing. The ribs were great as well!! Highly recommend!
We tried this place out last night and it was absolutely amazing! I had the birria tacos. They were so flavorful and delicious. I also had one of the margaritas, which was also so good and strong. My other party member had the smash burger with fries, which I also tried and was insane! The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the chips with the chips and queso. They were just hard and felt stale but the queso was great! We will definitely be back! Ryan was our server and he was great! Very attentive and kind. Food came out fast and drinks stayed topped off, all done with a friendly, warm smile! Atmosphere was beautiful and classy but still comfortable and casual! Someone who I believe was the manager came and talked to us as well to make sure we had a good experience, which was lovely! She was also very friendly! Highly recommend this place!
Michael was an awesome server. Hannah checked on us a couple of times and asked us how everything went. Great job everyone. We had the salmon appetizer, buffalo chicken sandwich and the fish tacos. Had my wife’s favorite wine too. Great experience and we only live a few blocks away. Looking forward to this being our new go to “spot”!!
I tried this spot for the first time tonight and would highly recommend it to everyone. The food was excellent and elevated without being too "bougie". I had a loaded baked potato with smoked brisket. It was huge and delicious. I asked to sample the coleslaw and potato salad expecting just a couple bites but they served me what I feel like was an entire portion at no charge. Sade was an explenary server and mixologist. She was quite friendly and professional and made me feel so welcomed. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area to try other items on their menu.
The meal was absolutely delicious. We started with deviled eggs. They were delicious. Presentation was very nice. We had the Honey Truffle Fried Chicken with Mac & Cheese. It is a must! We had the brisket and potato salad too. Brisket was so tender, lean and cut with a fork. We ended with the banana cream pudding. Make sure to save room. It's scrumptious. Definitely will be going back. Ryan our server was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Manager was hands-on. She made sure we were completely satisfied.
I ordered Texas cheesesteak and substituted the fries with charred broccolini. Hands down the broccolini was the suprise star of my order. Maybe it was just me but the combination of sour, light oil and char was more impressive to my taste buds than the brisket cheesesteak. PLEASE don't change the recipe and don't stop serving this item. I will be back here just for the broccolini! The Texas cheesesteak was good but being a Philly cheesesteak fan I was expecting way more peppers and onions to be considered a cheesesteak. The sandwich was mainly brisket (which was tasty) but I was expecting more green peppers and onions to be honest. There were other brisket items on the menu but I didn't order them because I wasn't feeling like brisket today. I miss the classic cheesesteak flavors. FYI: I also ordered the whiskey sour and slow and low. Both drinks were good. I would order the low and slow over the whiskey sour (only because I like my drinks to be tart). The cherries in the whiskey sour were delicious though!
Stopped in for lunch and was not disappointed. We ordered too much food but left with take out boxes. The smoked wings were really good, we had both buffalo and bbq flavors and really enjoyed those. Fried pickles were great! The Mac and cheese was delicious, I really enjoyed the cucumber salad and the smash burger was so good, although a bit heavy for me, husband loved it. My son also really enjoyed the coconut lemonade drink! The restaurant is bright and modern, and the service was very attentive and friendly, although the food did take longer than I expected to come out. Overall a great spot for lunch or dinner!
F1 Smokehouse exceeded my expectations! The nachos had the perfect ratio of toppings to chips, ensuring every bite was loaded with flavor. The Blue Plate was absolutely delicious. The Green Haze cocktail had just the right hint of spice, balancing heat and refreshment beautifully. To top it all off, the banana pudding was the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal. Honestly, everything we ordered was spot on. I’ll definitely be back!
OUTSTANDING food! Cool atmosphere, too, with old school rock. If everything isn't brand new, it is so spotless clean that it appears so. We were seated promptly and had fantastic service from Melissa. Food came out super fast even though there were preparations for a huge catering event. I love the special touch of purse holders on the sides of the table. We will absolutely be back!
We went on a Saturday at 4 PM. Not crowded, staff were all super nice and attentive - A+ for service all around. Atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. We got 2 margaritas (good) and a watermelon sugar (this is SUPER hot/spicy and I love heat) but I couldn't drink it and a Baja Lemonade (I liked it, but the person who ordered it didn't care for it). For appetizers we got the brisket queso and smoked guacamole. Both were very good! I couldn't taste the smoke in the guac but it was good anyway. For meals, we got a brisket cheesesteak, F1 Cuban panini, loaded potato, and the classic Texas brisket w truffle potato salad. Everyone loved theirs except the baked potato - only because the ranch seemed sour (we didn't say anything because she got a separate meal for later and didn't care) but the other meals were incredible. For dessert we got the cobbler (he loved it) and brulee banana pudding. I wish restaurants actually cooked banana pudding w/ condensed milk, etc., but they all just do instant and whipped cream and that's just bland. The toppings are just crushed cookies, not brulee (that's the banana). I still give it five stars overall because the food was great for the most part, service excellent, and we left happy and would go again.
The service at the restaurant was wonderful—our server was attentive and very friendly. However, the food didn't quite hit the mark for us. The Korean Style Double-Cut Pork Chop was surprisingly spicy, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu, and the pork itself was a bit dry. The mac and cheese, though bland, was more enjoyable than the pork chop. On a positive note, everyone else at our table liked their dishes, which is why the overall rating is higher. The banana pudding was a nice finish, with a good portion size and balanced sweetness, though we wished it had more banana and crust. While it’s a bit of a drive, we might return if we're in the area to try something different—but I would definitely skip the pork chop.
Cool interior design and concept. Prices were on the high side and the food was hit or miss. Caesar Salad - comes out in two cut halves. Great presentation and flavor. Premium style product. Smoked Guacamole - didn't really taste where the smoke was supposed to be. Comes with chopped chili's. It's pretty good and the tortilla chips are decent. Brisket Cheesesteak - fancy version of the Philly cheesesteak. Lacked the flavor I expected and was sort of bland. Had to use the sauce they had, but overall not worth it. Overall food wasn't mind blowing and just more expensive than what you paid. Lunch for 3, each having a beverage came out to $115. For just a little more you can get a good BBQ meal from one of the better joints in the area.
Overrated & overpriced. Small portion sizes. Food was dressed nicely (if you’re looking for aesthetics rather than portion sizes.) Had a wad of blonde hair tangled up in the side of potatoes which grossed us out. The hair was hard to see as it blended in with the potatoes. They took off $8 for that even though I think my food should’ve been comp as we lost our appetite after that. First waitress was friendly and attentive but she was replaced with a friendly, non attentive waitress. I would recommend hair nets for the kitchen staff or preventive measures to deter hair from falling into the food. $8 for 3 deviled eggs … I was expecting 6 eggs at least 😂
