Delicious food! We could not have been happier with our meal. The Thai Basil fried rice and chicken yellow curry you can’t go wrong. Highly recommend.

Great place. If you love Thai like we do. Customer service was very good the waitress Kan was very polite. Sweet chicken wing appetizer was also very delicious. We will be back. Not a long wait. Parking was easy as it is in the Vons parking lot.

Today I was discriminated by a different Thai restaurant called Sawasdee in Ventura and felt so uncomfortable I left and came upon this restaurant and now I feel it was meant to be! The food and staff were amazing!!!!! They were on top of everything and really respectful and welcoming. I unfortunately forgot my servers name but when I go back I will be sure to get it. This Gem was found cause another restaurant was horrible and now I’m happy to say I found a new Thai restaurant. Definitely try the ribs fall off the bone!!!!

It's exceptionally clean, family-friendly with attentive servers who even provided kid-friendly cutlery for our toddler and refill the water countless times with a very happy and patient attitude . The Thai cuisine is remarkably flavorful, the best I've had in Ventura.

Chili Basil, is great addition to the Ventura restaurant scene. The food is simply delicious, especially the ribs, melts in your mouth. My husband and I have made this restaurant our go to Thai in California and always look forward to coming in seeing the friendly staff and sitting down to an amazing, traditional Thai meal in a welcoming atmosphere

This is my first time trying Chili Basil and will not be my last. First of all, the restaurant is gorgeous- everything is so well decorated and clean and gives off a very nice ambiance. There was outdoor seating but I prefer indoors- so that’s where I decided to sit. As for my food, I went for a light brunch so I got a Thai tea- which was delicious. I feel like when you come to a Thai restaurant you have to try their thai tea. It wasn’t too sweet and it was creamy. As for the food, I got the pork rib and then veggie wraps with tofu and shrimp. The pork rib is nicely seasoned, not spicy, very tender— it literally fell off the bone. You get quite a lot too- so definitely can be like a sharing plate with a friend. For the wraps, the two sauces that come with it are SO GOOD. you get the crunch from the lettuce and the herbs, and you get the noodles, and then the sauce just makes everything come together. I wanna say it’s a clean bite- it’s refreshing and light and the pieces of tofu and shrimp made it very filling. Next time I’ll come for a lunch or dinner so I can try the entrees too. 10/10 would come again

LOVED this place. Amazingly delicious food, reasonable prices, and excellent service. Nice decor and a cute patio area. Ordered the Chicken Tom Yum hot pot level 3 spicy and a Tofu coconut noodle dish. Highly recommend.

The trip to Chili Basil Thai was sooooooo worth it! Poom is a beautiful soul and really made our experience great! Super super pleasant and welcoming! We had the Pumpkin Curry 10/10, Pad Thai 10/10, Spicy Kanom Jeeb 10/10, Golden fried shrimp 10/10 (lightly breaded, cooked to perfection and served with a delicious sauce), Thom Yum soup (excellent too). All together an amazing meal and if im back in this part of Cali again, I'll totally be back! Do yourself a favor and visit this place if you want to experience a true taste of Thailand! Thank you Chili Basil Thai crew!!

One word… DELICIOUS! Great customer service, waiters are very attentive from the moment you walk in you’re greeted and feel welcomed. Once your seated they make sure to follow up to make sure your all set. If you want a bang for your buck go with their special combinations that consist of a soup or salad, veggies, rice, and main dish. Good selection of dishes in their menu as well. Highly recommend it.

I'm surprised I waited this long to review this place... The ppl there know me by now. Best dang food in Ventura, and that's no lie. I love everything I've eaten there. One of the few restaurants that I go to just to try a different dish. And, guess what, consistently delivers an experience to satiate the hungriest among us! Exceptional food, and a wonderful staff make going there an amazing moment. If you're in California in general, I guarantee it's worth a trip to this place!

The food was outstanding! Service was polite, friendly, and efficient. I highly recommend the Giaw Nam soup (Thai variation of wonton soup) and the chicken satay. Chili Basil Thai is a wonderful diamond of a restaurant without pretention and great food. Highly recommend.

Everything we ate from the appetizer (amazing crab rangoons) to our entrees to dessert (mango sticky rice) was delicious! I cannot wait to come back and try something else. And the service was top- notch too. Attentive without being overbearing.

Had a nice lunch here. The place has a calm, neat interior and a comfortable atmosphere. Our server was very attentive and kind, and gave helpful suggestions when we asked what to order. We tried the yellow curry, pad thai noodles, Thai basil fried rice, satay, and Thai boba tea. The yellow curry was the highlight — very delicious and comforting. The satay was also very good, though the sauces were a bit on the sweeter side and not spicy. The pad thai noodles were mostly good (2 out of 3 of us liked them), but they are a bit oily and have peanuts, so keep that in mind if that’s not your preference. The Thai basil fried rice was very good and again liked by 2 out of 3 of us. Overall, a pleasant place with good food and great service.

This place is a real gem! For starters, it is a high-quality Thai food restaurant on the east end. It's also the best Thai restaurant in Ventura, in my opinion. The food is fresh, authentic, and tastes wonderful. Even their kids' menu is really good! Plus, you can color with your children on the paper tabletop while you wait for your food to arrive. We've had the same server twice, and he’s been great both times. Tonight, it was packed, and the staff and cooks did an excellent job. I think people are starting to come from all over Ventura to dine here. If so, it's definitely worthwhile.

This place has the best Thai food ever! I love the cashew nuts dish, and their Thai iced tea is perfect, not too sweet but sweet enough. Servers are so lovely and polite and attentive. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Pardon for the the dishes, we dug in before I remembered to take a picture. The dishes were good and it was a good pit stop to the beach. This place did not have anything that stood out. If you like Thai food it a good place to go but I have had other Thai places that had a stronger impression

I am extremely dissatisfied, disappointed, and very upset. I drove all the way from Camarillo to experience the food at this restaurant, I went when I got off of work and when I walked in, I respectfully asked them if they’re open because I didn’t see nobody inside they talk to somebody in the back to confirm and they said I can place an order take out only immediately I started getting dirty looks from the staff, and when I placed my order, I specifically ordered spicy basil fried rice with chicken And I told them I wanted it very spicy level three being the highest the lady expressed to me that everybody usually gets the mild, but I specifically told her that I wanted it very spicy. when it came down to pay I can tell the lady at the register was bothered that I didn’t give a tip and that I asked for a receipt. The hospitality that I got from this place Was very poor. The workers are two-faced and once they notice that I wasn’t leaving a tip they didn’t care about me as a customer whatsoever and it shouldn’t be about that! when I got home to eat my food, I was even more disgusted Because it Was not What I paid for! It’s not fair that I order and pay for something with my harder money and not get what I paid for the workers must have been very upset that they had to make my food that they deliberately did not make my food right and that goes to show you what kind of people they have working for chili Basil. they just proved to me that they’re very vindictive and have hatred in their heart. The manager should consider looking into what kind of people they have there because who knows what they’re doing to people’s food when they’re having a bad day. you guys look at my food and be the judge of the comment I’m leaving? does this look like spicy basil, fried rice super spicy level three?
