Great Mexican food at a reasonable price. The food is tasty without being greasy. I am a big fan of their California burrito. My wife and kids really enjoy the beef tacos. For lunch I like the taco salad. Lots of parking and indoor/outdoor seating. Most people get take-out, which is quick if you order at the register. They have a Sunday brunch, but I have never gone to it.

I enjoy this place very much I eat here about once a month food is always good and I enjoy the coffee. I usually get the Machaca & eggs.

So good! First time eating here and we loved it. The TJ tacos were so good and tasty. My daughter got the cheese enchiladas, which she loved. Can't wait to go back. 12/24/2023 update- so happy they're open again. Great spot

Really yummy food. We eat their food for dinner a lot and we love it. Occasionally we treat ourselves to their breakfast on the weekends. We've loved everything they make. Best of all, their kitchen is really fast. We can call in our order, get in the car and drive over and the food is done when we get there - less than 10 minutes! If you love wet burritos, get them with their enchilada sauce... Delicious!

The best Mexican food Restaurant I have ever found in San Diego y Riverside County. They have the best Carne Azada, Carnitas, Cabeza, Lengua, On Tacos, Burritos. Nachos. However you prefer to have . I have been visiting this Restaurant since 1987 were the owners open their first restaurant in San Marcos as Mr Taco. Just my favorite place to go for Mexican food. It is a family own. Owner and family are there giving the best care to customers

The service here as always been superb. The food is steady good....if that makes any sense. The atmosphere is, like the service.... sa'll good amigos 😊. I highly recommend this establishment.

New spot for us. We've been here 3 times now. Very convenient place while we charge our car up at the Electrify America Charging station. Tacos and Burritos are good to go. Nice atmosphere.

We decided to try Mrs. Taco for breakfast. We expected an American version on Mexican food. To our surprise it had GREAT food and one of the very few places serve menudo everyday. It was quality food as well. The owner was working and took pride in her restaurant. I am now wanting to come back to try their dinner.

The food at Mrs. Taco is VERY good. I prefer ground beef, which they offer, and it is outstanding! Great, friendly staff and the restaurant is clean inside & out. A major plus for me are the outside patio tables with umbrellas. Remember to pick up their "Customer Loyalty Rewards Card"...it fills up fast!

I love their chips so & I love that I can choose the spice level. My boyfriend ordered the Spanish omelet plate thing & he loved it. He loves how clean the place is as well & days this is his favorite place. We'll be back!

I found this hidden gem in Vista called Ms. Taco. The employees are welcoming and friendly. I ordered the combination plate with a cheese enchilada, a beef taco, rice, and beans. Everything tasted delicious. I look forward to trying more things. My overall score is 5 stars. Keep up the great work you guys .

The lady who helped us was also very kind and patient she answered any question that I had! 10/10 big burrito.

CATERING REVIEW This review is overdue but I still wanted to share. I ordered food for pick up for birthday party of ~50 guests. Manager was very helpful. I needed to call to increase the # of guests once and it wasn’t a problem. Food was hot and ready on time. Person working was very friendly and helped load it in the car. We got tacos - carnitas, carne, and pollo plus rice and beans, tortillas, and chips and salsa. It was a big hit. Lots of compliments and plenty of food.

Unpretentious good old fashioned Mexican food! My wife very much enjoyed her Chili Colorado (nice big chunks of beef) and I a nice bean and cheese burrito with rice, very tasty and no too gigantic. Ice cold Mexican Coke to drink and we were good to go and tackle the afternoon! Thanks Mrs. Taco!

Love Mrs. Taco and the food is really good. We have going there for years and think it’s one of the best places to eat. Their involvement in the community is also impressive and worth the support.

This place has the best tamales in No County. Their food altogether is fantastic and I can't wait to try something different. One note, I don't care much for sauces on my tamales. These don't need anything and the dark enchilada sauce is the only thing I've had so far that I'm not thrilled about. I haven't had the enchiladas yet and now I won't try them. Taco Tuesday rules with both hard and soft tortillas!!

TAKE-OUT / DELIVERY REVIEW First time experiencing Mrs. Taco. We ordered two burritos delivered by Postmates: Surf & Turf, and the Chile Verde Burrito. The Surf & Turf was very good. Little too much guac but the flavor was there and it did not need any salt! Everything, especially the meat, was seasoned correctly. BUT let's talk about the green chili burrito. This Chile Verde Burrito was hands-down the BEST burrito I can remember ever having in north county. Wow. It's a "wet" style burrito meaning they pour the green chili sauce (and extra meat) over the entire thing and came in a Styrofoam container. It was just amazing and we are headed there again today to get another one. We also got chips & salsa, and unfortunately the salsa was meh. The little sauces that came with the burritos were good. I appreciated they added one of each kind (four kinds) to our order without even asking. Also got a Mango Smoothie which my daughter loved. UPDATE: Came back again to get the Chile Verde burrito again, as well as the Nachos Con Carne (asada). Both excellent.

I really love the food here. So far everything has been good. The only bad thing is when I was eating the beans I almost broke my tooth on a giant rock in the beans . Please sort the beans better for rocks . This was the size of a quarter of the size of a bean. It so it could have been sifted out if using metal mesh .

Breakfast was amazing. Super filling and satisfying. It got me excited for their lunch so I decided to come in the next day. Which ended up being a big disappointment. I ordered the Mole which appearance wise it looked delicious but when I started eating it it barely had any flavor. My girlfriend ordered the chicken taquitos said the same thing so it seems like they don't season the chicken. So overall. Breakfast is great lunch not so great. Atmosphere is the place is pretty cozy.

The place is very nice and clean. You can order and pay, then they will bring it to your table. I ordered takeout. The beef flautas were tasty, but small for the price. The guacamole and salsa verde seemed watered down. The bean and cheese burrito was just okay. Not great buy not bad either. I will go back and try again though.

The past few times we ordered the chicken tortilla soup to go it was amazing, flavorful and full of chicken with all the condiments to add. Tonight it was not flavorful, less chicken and full of potatoes and forgotten condiments. When you think of chicken tortilla soup you don’t want it to be full of potatoes. I know the soups there are homemade and are gonna vary slightly but tonight it wasn’t good. Quality control needs to be consistent! I will order again in a week and do an updated review.

We love living so close to Mrs taco! Usually it’s great. But on rare occasion it’s lacking in food quality and flavor consistency. The past few times we ordered the chicken tortilla soup to go it was amazing, flavorful and full of chicken with all the condiments to add. Tonight it was not flavorful, less chicken and full of potatoes and forgotten condiments. When you think of chicken tortilla soup you don’t want it to be full of potatoes. I know the soups there are homemade and are gonna vary slightly but tonight it wasn’t good. Quality control needs to be consistent! I will order again in a week and do an updated review.

I had just moved to the neighborhood and was looking for my next favorite local hole in the wall. The food was not horrible but pretty dull in appearance and bland in flavor. The “fresh” tortillas were a completely different story. They were sort of cold, dry and tough to swallow. I can forgive a place for going bland to appeal to less traditional palates, but serving bad tortillas is completely inexcusable. It was too bad. I had high hopes for the place.

I would recommend you take your money to one of the much better Mexican places in the city.

Decided to try this place today since I'd never been there and got two burritos. Both burritos were messed up (my breakfast burrito had beans and they put chorizo in the other burrito even though that wasn't what was ordered on it.) My boyfriend found a black hair in his burrito as well. When paying seventeen dollars for two burritos you should get what you paid for and we definitely didn't pay hairs or messed up ordered. Very disappointed :(

I am giving a warning to all my pescatarians and people who do not eat lard. I came there got a bean and cheese burrito. The lady told me there was no lard. I’m sure my other fellow pescatarians get that when you get something and you open it up you can literally smell it and tell if there’s any pork or beef or any poultry flavors in it and sure if I opened it up and the grease that was in there was large because some of it was still white called. They said they replace it and the lady was like oh no I said I’m glad that you confirmed that you guys put lard in the beans when I came on Saturday. The lady told me that you didn’t so hey beware, customer service and not so sanitary

Today 8/9 i orderd ground beef tacos. I also bought chips. How do you mess that order up? How is that they would not give me salsa for my chips. They said that is extra money! Then they offered me multiple sauces with my tacos for free. Not a big deal but staff was incredibly ruble and ruined the experience! Paying 20.00 for 4 tacos I can do many places in this city without the rudeness. Too bad I really enjoyed the food the one time I ate here. How rude were they? Rude enough for me to leave my tacos that I paid for!
