Real nice place to enjoy your meal! Excellent food and familiar food environment. You want to relaxing during your lunch time. Visit them.
This place was phenomenal!!!! The food was soooo good. The owner was in and chatting with us. My daughter and I both had leftovers! I can't wait to come back!!!
We absolutely loved the food at Loopy's. We came across this place as we were looking to have an early dinner near the PIT before we stopped in for an improv show. You order and pay at a screen but the food is brought out to your table. We ordered spicy ramen with beef bolgolgi, fried dumplings, popcorn chicken with yum yum sauce and a California roll (minus avocado which we communicated directly to the person behind the counter). The dumplings and chicken were my favorites and I noted that they were maybe some of the best I've had and it was affordable especially considering the quality and portion size. (Roll pictured came with more pieces)
We are visiting NYC as a family and had just finished touring the Empire State Building. We looked for a unique restaurant to eat at and stumbled upon Loopy’s Eatery. We were greeted with such kindness from the owners. As we looked over the menu, he graciously helped us pick our meal. And then when it came out he even showed us the way to mix it up so there is a piece of every ingredient in each bite! Talk about flavor - wow! Everything was outstanding! My husband and I both had the stone pot bibimbap. Comes out hot and stays hot the whole time you are eating. My son got the sushi burrito and basically inhaled it due to the deliciousness. My daughter had a bento box - which was perfect for her and rates everything an 11 out of 10. If you are in the area or even if you are father away, this is worth the drive!
This place was adorable, the decor was fun, the food was amazing, the and the service impeccable. It wasn't too busy on a Friday evening. My sister had never tried Korean food and I thought the fusion style menu was really a good way to bring her in without going to a more traditional place that would have been overwhelming with unfamiliar food options. She has the tacos with bulgogi and I got the bibimbap with bulgogi and it was great with all the fresh veggie toppings!.
As a first time NYC visitor from Houston, TX eating here was worth all the time, cost, and service. We were greeted and served by Tex, who I believe is the owner of the restaurant. The service was exceptional and the food matched along with it. Deliciously flavored and the portions kept us comfortably full. I got the bento box with bulgogi beef, yum yum sauce and their popcorn chicken is a must have! My wife ate their steam pot bibimbap bowl which was also fantastic. Don’t forget to order the Thai milk tea as well! We will definitely make a stop here on our next visit to NYC and highly encourage others to do the same!
We stopped by Loopy’s this past weekend prior to a concert at Madison Square Garden, and we were so glad we did! This was the best food of our entire trip! It’s extremely reasonably priced, cozy atmosphere, fabulous service. Our server was so kind and helpful, and the food was incredible. The shrimp tempura was fresh and not too greasy like some places, the yum yum sauce was the best I’ve ever had. The beef was flavorful, tender and not fatty at all…the salad came with a fantastic sesame dressing, and the vegetable fried rice was delightful. We come to NYC a couple times a year and we will absolutely be back here!
After googling for the nearest restaurant to eat at for my family’s last night here on vacation, I stumbled upon Loopy’s that was less than a block away. We were greeted and seated by very polite gentleman. The menu was given to us on tablets and was easy to read and figure out. Starting off with the fried dumplings, we then settled on four different entrees that were delicious in their own right. The Stone Pot Bibimbap is what ended up enjoying with their Spicy Pork Bulgogi and Spicy Mayo sauce.
We were looking for something new and different. One of the family members has a thing for Bibimbop. I have been told several times that the only place to get the best Bibimbop was a place in Washington DC. A family member suggested we give Loopy's a try. The venue was close by, so we stopped in for a bite. Looking at the menu there did not seem to be a huge selection. The restaurant is somewhat small but has a cozy atmosphere. Jazz music was being streamed at the time which was quite pleasant. Quite a few folks were picking up take out so the food must be good. We ordered Summer Rolls, Beef Bibimbop with Yum Yum sauce and a side of Pickled Daikon Radish, Spicy Pork Platter with vegetable fried rice and I chose tiger sauce. The platter came with a salad and you get to choose aside. I chose kimchi (medium spicy). The person taking our order was very friendly and explained the different options and did not rush us through for the order. I was told the Bibimbop was amazing and better than the restaurant in Washing DC. The fried egg made it amazing. The Spicy port Platter was absolutely delicious. The rice and salad were equally delicious. The Summer rolls were amazing. I am a fan of those. There are huge with crispy vegetables and shrimp. The vegetables have been marinaded and are fantastic. I am not sure what the sauce is that comes with it (possibly sesame sauce) but very good. During our meal, the same person who took our order came by to ask if everything was ok and if we needed anything. Great customer service which is very much appreciated. The food was so delicious that we order some take-out for the next days' lunch. We ordered another Bimbibop but this time with Shrimp and yum yum sauce. I ordered the Galbi 3 piece with fried vegetable rice and kimchi for a side dish. We also added two orders of summer rolls. The Galbi took some time because it was made fresh but well worth the wait. As I picked up our order to-go the person to bring it to us asked if I was going to have the Galbi to which I replied I am. He said you are going to love it! Next day lunchtime. I warmed up the Galbi, vegetable fried rice. Wow!! I do not know what marinade they used but it is the best Galbi I have tried to date. I have a couple of different places I go to, but this so far is fantastic. Jucy, tender, and flavorful. I will be back. This will be my go-to meal and since the place is close by we will be coming by often. Again I was told the Bimbibop was amazing.
Loopy’s Eatery was a welcome find in the Chelsea neighborhood. It is spacious, by New York standards, with an eclectic decor mixing their very contemporary signage, gold moldings, Tiffany-esque light fixtures and toy cars. The summer rolls ($10 plus tax) was my favorite of the food ordered; the bento ($16.95) and fried dumplings ($11) receive above-average marks. The highlight of the meal was interacting with the owner and getting the story behind the restaurant.
We stopped here on a Tuesday evening and it was quite. We went in and were greeted with friendly smiles and placed our order on the tablet ,you can also have a server take your order but we opted for a tablet as the guy helping us explained everything perfectly and it was easy to navigate. We ordered a California roll ,I got the salmon with rice and my friend got the kalbi combo. The food was amazing ,really enjoyed it.Highly recommend this place and would come back again if we could.
The food was really delicious however I do have to say something about one of the workers asking a customer to leave a tip. While I do understand that tips are a way of life, you should not run after a customer and tell them "it is customary to leave a tip". If they didn't want to leave one, they shouldn't be pressured to leave one. This did not happen to me, but I overheard it while eating. That is why I knocked it down to overall 4/5. While the food was delicious, that experience did sour me. That is poor customer service. I work in the service industry and we would be lambasted if we ever did this to a customer.
Nice and spacious restaurant run by a family. The people are friendly and the food is decent. The Stone Bowl Bibimbap is fairly standard. I wanted to try the Korean Cheese steak, but it was pretty average in my opinion. Only American and Provolone options and the cheese is just melted on top, not mixed in. Thai ice tea is standard but a fair price.
