My husband and I just had the best meal we’ve had here in Watertown. The food was phenomenal, service excellent, and such a lovely atmosphere!
Perfect. Please place a reservation ahead of time as this place is booked and everyone goes here. This place is authentic worthwhile food. We luckily got in as it opened today and they treated us like royalty! Thank y'all so much!
My wife and I went there for the first time tonight. The appetizers (calamari, bruschetta, and a Caesar salad) all came out fast and were fresh and very good. The entrees were good sized and well prepared in both looks and taste (I’m assuming their marinara is house-made and it’s wonderfully balanced in flavor without too many chunks). The crème brûlée was smooth and creamy. Our server was attentive and helpful and the place looks nice and was clean. The music was a little loud but I think we were right next to a speakers. 9.5/10. We have found our new Italian place.
Excellent customer service, tasty food, good price, amazing atmosphere. Isaac was phenomenal his attitude and attention was very much appreciated and make us feel good.
My husband and I had an excellent time at Pete's. The service provided by our server sherry was amazing and so was our food! I highly recommend this establishment for a nice dinner out with friends, family or a date night.
My wife and I enjoyed an amazing early dinner here. The food was delicious, the staff very helpful, and it was a quiet atmosphere. This is a great Italian restaurant. I'd recommend reservations for typical dinner hours.
If you've made it this far and haven't eaten at Pete's, you're wrong. It has a fancy vibe to it, but the entire staff is super friendly. The portions are more than generous. The food quality is excellent. We are from out of town and we will be back. Go there hungry, because they give you plenty to eat.
Everything I had was excellent It was a nice quiet evening that I had with my kids. It is expensive, appetizer, dinner, drinks, dessert, tip for 3 people was just over $200 The cod was cooked to perfection (I still don’t like cod but I tried my son’s) The fillet over risotto was an incredible flavorful dish and the meat was so tender and a perfect medium rare. My daughter had a chicken Alfredo type dish and was tasty as well. Chicken was nice and juicy. I would definitely recommend reservations as it does get busy… Definitely a solid choice if you’re looking for a nice place to eat!
Pete’s Trattoria is a true Watertown institution and one of the places that made me feel right at home after moving up from downstate. Now that Watertown is my adopted hometown, Pete’s has become one of my go-to spots for a great meal and warm atmosphere. The restaurant has an intimate, welcoming vibe that’s perfect for date nights or family dinners. The Italian menu is outstanding there’s always something new to try, and everything is consistently delicious. The buffalo mozzarella pizza is a personal favorite. It is packed with flavor and cooked to near perfection. The bar is another highlight. It’s a fun, familiar place where conversations come easy and you’ll often see the same friendly faces. Much like Cheers, before long, everyone really does know your name. The bartenders and servers are incredibly friendly and personable, adding that extra touch that makes Pete’s feel like more than just a restaurant. It’s a place where good food, good people, and good vibes come together effortlessly.
Overall I'm very impressed with my first visit here. I looked up some places I've never been and can't pass up some good homemade Italian food. Yum. The food was incredible like all the reviews say. I heard good things about the eggplant neapolitan so I immediately got that. It was absolutely delicious! The layers just blend together so well that I would absolutely order it everytime. The brussel sprouts were the best I ever had. I tried my boyfriends salmon and that was amazing too. He could only finish half of it! The bread was so soft and we even got extra served to us and some to go. The server was great. This is exactly how a restaurant should be and I highly recommend this place.
This review is long overdue. I came across the picture of my dad’s plate of Braised Pork Osso Buco from Pete’s and it brought back great memories. We dined here on vacation (5 of us) 9/2023. Our server Brennan was wonderful and offered us suggestions from the menu and great drinks. The food was delicious for all. Three of us had the special which was a creative take on ratatouille with autumn veggies. Great night out.
Showed up at 730 on a Saturday night. No reservation. Only a 15 minute wait. Got a cocktail at the bar. Host came and found us in the bar and seated us. Waitress greeted us and gave the specials and went over the menu. Cocktails. Service and food all top notch. Friendly staff. Calm. friendly. Patient waitress. Answered all of our questions and gave recommendations.
Old-school family-owned Italian restaurant. Dimly lit with eclectic wall decorations and a soundtrack your grandparents and great-grandparents would reminisce over. Energetic but small bar area off the main entrance with generous pours. Many dining the night I went ordered pizza which looked good, but I did not try. Instead, I went for the specials (posted in chalk at the host desk). A burrata, tomato and balsamic reduction dish that was delicious. Was torn between the mushroom risotto and eggplant neopolitan. Decided to go for the risotto which was cooked well and flavorful but could have benefited from shaved Parmesan on top. A generous portion that I ended-up taking as leftovers and was even better the next day after sitting in refrigerator. BTW - went back the next night and had the eggplant -- which was IMO the better dish. Service was very good - attentive but not annoying. Fresh bread and a water bottle sits on your table. It is DEFINITELY one of the best restaurants in Watertown (which suffers from an over-abundance of fast food and chain restaurants. Prices reasonable but not cheap. Highly recommend!!
The food was great. A large selection of Italiaian and Italian-American favorites. Portion sizes are large and would recommend more in family serving style. The sauces tasted fresh and homemade. The fried motza was great and so was the manacotti. The bread with oil could use another hit like balsamic. Great selection of premium beers. The made knock was the service which was incredibly slow and forgetful. There was also a lot of dust and lint on the napkins.
First time going Walked in and waited 30 mins. Host clearly overwhelmed. People cut in front of us as we were waiting. She helped the people that cut us even though we were there first. Had my 4 year old with me he was starting to get ancy so I walked up to an employee because the host still hadn't greet us. She said sorry hold on the host will be with you. Waited 10 more mins. She finally comes says, okay what's the name on you're reservation? I said we do not have one this is my first time here didn't know that was required. She said it is not. I said okay can we have that table over there. She replies unfortunately all of the seats are taken and we're not taking anyone else after just telling me reservation isn't required. As I was going to walk out I turn and see a bar side with open tables all across. I ask is it okay to sit over there and if so can please get us someone to take our order quickly as my son has been waiting. She yes will do. Never happened. So I then walk to the bar side to clean off the tables myself. The lady that waited on our table on the bar side never filled mine, my wife's, or sons drink. The wings I ordered were supposed to be ghost pepper. They were buffalo. I tell the waitress. Shes oh that's weird. No offer to fix it. No accommodations. Nothing. Clearly this place runs off of name and doesn't care how they treat new people I just want to make sure the owner knows this his entire staff is pretty unwelcoming to veteran families that have a young child. Not cool at all. Above all else the food was sub par. Bright spot of the place was the atmosphere at least. Won't come back. Won't recommend to anyone else on fort drum that's wondering. And definitely won't bring my family back Have a happy new year
