Great food! Ive tried the ham and jam sandwich, the BLT both very tasty, and pecan pie which is to die for. I also love their orange iced tea, super yummy. I love their spicy but sweet jam they serve, it's very delightful. Service is always quick and superb. Food is reasonable priced. Parking is tough to find when busy and wait times can be long, but the line moves fast it seems. There is not a place to sit and wait per say, just the little shop to look around in. Very cute rustic decor, just pricey. All around great place, good food, great people and atmosphere. A true gem in waxahachie.
We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and we’ve always had excellent meals and service. The owners are the best hosts ever! Y’all should also check out the great selection of their gift items, jewelry, clothes, books and furniture. They make the best “Bourbon Pecan Pie.” It truly is a great place to shop and the people there are very welcoming. Southern hospitality at its finest!
Incredible. BLT was maybe the best I’ve had. Burger was UNREAL. We had two appetizers and both were top notch. For dessert, get the chocolate/pecan pie. 😋 It’s really busy on Saturday at lunch, but they have a neat store attached to spend the time. Well worth it. 10 out of 10
Everything I've eaten here has been amazing! I really like their Cob Salad, and desserts are a must. I can't forget to mention the orange spiced tea, super good!
This place not only has a diverse selection of beautiful decor, antiques, jewelry, clothing, and one of a kind pieces for you to shop for, but it’s been one of the favorite eating places in Waxahachie for well over 20 years. There isn’t anything you can order that isn’t THE BEST you’ve ever had! You can’t go wrong inviting someone to this place to eat, you’ll be sure to impress. Don’t forget to pick up one of their famous cookbooks on the way out so you can attempt to prepare some of their delicious dishes at home too! The owners and staff are first class, and welcome each and every person that enters. There should be more stars to select for this restaurant!
The atmosphere is very boutique style. The staff were all very nice and very friendly. The food was delicious. The portions were good, and the food was well plated so it was visually appealing as well. The menu was not overwhelming with the number of choices so that was nice. As a warning for sweet tea drinkers, they have no regular sweet tea or unsweet tea. They only have their spiced orange tea, but it was refreshing and very tastey. This is a wonderful little place to go for a ladies lunch or a relaxing meal. It is a smaller restaurant, but it didn't feel crowded. Be sure to check out their attached boutique. They have many wonderful and unique items and gift ideas. Would deffinitly go again. 👍👍👍
If you find yourself in this area, then your in luck. This restaurant/store was great. Wonderful atmosphere and food. We did feel a little out of place as the sign said mask were a choice and as me being on too us Texans hate being told what to do. I had the ham and jam sandwich and the wife smoked turkey sandwich with the texas Cesar salad. They were both amazing. It was loud as hell because of the tall ceilings but it was still a great experience. You got to try it friends it's a treat. Eat well everyone!
If you haven't been here. You're not living your best life.
Really cute place in an old building with tall ceilings. Great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. I will definitely come back. The ice tea is really good too (orange spice, but not overly done). You can look around the gift store in front while you're waiting for a table. It gets crowded, but we only waited about 15 mins for a table.
Wonderful, quaint, charm! We made reservations to celebrate an 80th birthday, and they went above and beyond! From setting up decorations, and letting us bring in a special cake for our large group. A wonderful gift and sandwich shop. The whole staff made you feel welcome. Such a nice place for a wonderful afternoon! Worth the hour drive.
We did curb side pickup this evening due to the Virus. We did the pot roast meal which served four. The meal was absolutely excellent. Brought back memories of eating Sunday dinners and moms cooking. For desert we had the bread pudding, buttermilk pie and chocolate pecan pie....couldn’t make up our mind so we got all three😀. All three were excellent but especially the bread pudding! We have found our new favorite place in Waxahachie!
My husband, daughter and I are eating here at the restaurant right now. I had the avocado blt with the cheddar squash soup. Its amazing. My husband had the burger with the bourbon molasses mustard and he also had the soup. We both loved our meals. My 2 year old got the meat and cheese roll up kids plate with fruit and it was perfect for her! We were seated quickly, got our food quickly and it has a good atmosphere. We were looking for something new to try. So glad we tried The Dove's nest. We will be back.
The BLT wasn't all that to me, I did eat a piece of my brother's burger and that was pretty good. Not a place I'd go to by choice. Just personal preference. It's got a Cracker Barrel feel to it.
My wife and I eat at Doves Nest often! Never, not one time, have we had anything but great food and great service. The first is delicious, and consistent!
I only come here for the food. Never had a bad or disappointing meal. They the best bourbon pecan pie.The merchandise is overpriced but still fun to browse.
Love this place!! The warm goat cheese dip is amazing and the salad and sandwiches are as well.
We had an amazing lunch here. Food was really amazing.
Super friendly owner. Wrapped up our gift gently and made small talk pleasant.
Charming atmosphere, wonderful food, excellent service, friendly staff.
This is my favorite restaurant in Waxahachie! The owners are super nice! The service was wonderful! All the servers are respectful! After coming here my whole life and reading the negative reviews I can tell those people have never been there! I love it! I get the veggie pita with grilled chicken and it is to die for! It’s so refreshing and healthy! They use all fresh tasting ingredients!! I highly recommend stopping by for the food and shopping!!
A delight in every bite! We were traveling and wanted a quick bite and saw their reviews, so we decided to check it out. I'm so happy we did! My husband and I split a burger (WOW!) and their side house salad (not a typical side salad at all!). They are smart and let you wander through the shop on the way in. What a wonderful gem. Sorry I did not take pictures!
Chicken salad sandwich really good , also really big sandwich. chocolate bourbon pie with ice cream was the Bomb super good.. along with with service..
It is a treat every time I go. The food is really good, the atmosphere keeps you coming back, and the shopping before and after you eat is next level.
My sister and I were in town for a wedding when we found this jewel. Great food and atmosphere. We all loved it. The boutique is nice place to hang out and shop while waiting on a table. I even came away with the perfect top to wear to the wedding. A must see !
This was always a great place to go for lunch. I lived nearby and would often stop by, but sadly I'm moving now so will definitely miss this place. Their jalapeno BLT was my favorite. My wife would often get their daily specials and they never disappointed.
Enjoyable environment, friendly staff, and a budget friendly menu. The meal choices sounded delicious, tasty, and might even be healthy! While the soup tasted saltier than I prefer, it had a lot of flavor I love with goat cheese! So good for my digestive system. We ate everything but couldn't resist trying a piece of buttermilk pie we passed in the display case when getting seated. It was to die for, so fresh and plenty for two to share. The pie is prepared fresh for in-house daily sale. I am so glad we tried the pie, even though we felt quite full from the lunch meal. The wait took a while, but the restaurant is behind a shopping store. So, you can browse around, go to the restrooms, or make a purchase while waiting. It has a local town square charm with a Cracker Barrel ambiance.
Wonderful sandwich and salad. My husband and I were able to get a fresh local lunch for under 40 minutes. We were impressed and will be back for sure!
The service was great and the food was good. There is street parking around here that is usually available. The restaurant will get busy quickly which gives you time to shop in the store. The food was good and we all found something to eat. The menu is not large and if you have picky eaters check the menu before you go.
A fabulously relaxing atmosphere! Wonderful restaurant employees, certainly delicious original food. The gift shop attached to the restaurant is full of original gifts for any person on your gift list! Worth a visit, spend the day looking around!
Cindy and the entire Doves made our wedding day amazing. I planned the wedding from out of state and Cindy guided me to success. From the moment I walked into the Doves Nest to the end of the night I was amazed by the attention to detail given to every aspect of the wedding from the table set up, food, professional staff, all the way to the flowers and decorations. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We had the beef tenderloin, with mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The meat was tender, the sides perfectly seasoned, and the food came out hot. Our experience could not have been better! We highly recommend The Doves Nest for an exception meal, catering, or event.
We were here for a rehearsal dinner. From what I understand this isn’t something they normally do, but we enjoyed our time here very much! And we think they should consider becoming the venue for more dinners/evening events. There was a charcuterie board, cocktail shrimp, and pimento cheese balls for an appetizer. Or favorite was the charcuterie board! For dinner, we had steak, green beans, and mashed potatoes. Then for dessert we had the butter pie and the molten chocolate cake. All were amazing!
Amazing lunch spot. The deviled egg appetizer is delicious. The house salad with white balsamic maple vinegrette is wonderful.
The food is great and so is the service! Tried the house burger with chips and the panini with the soup of the day (it was white chicken chili). Everything was delicious!! To finish it up, we ordered the blackberry pudding topped with ice cream. SO GOOD!! I wish this place was opened longer hours but it was worth the drive from Dallas!! Give it a try if you're in town!!
What a lovely lunch spot. The food was really fresh and tasted so good. This was my first time there. I will definitely go back to try different items on the menu. The store was super cute and I look forward to shopping there.
I was disappointed because they were out of the quiche (that's what I get for waiting until 30 minutes before they close to sit down). But the chicken apricot salad was just as delish and so was the artichoke goat cheese dip! And then... the blackberry bread pudding, amazing! One of the best desserts. EVER!
Friendly staff, fresh food, and a well-varied menu——definitely a formula for a success as favorite lunch spots go. And, not to exclude the guys (they serve a grrrreat burger, a huge club sandwich, and lots of substantial choices), but this spot is a FAB place for a girly get-together! PS: they cater well to kids, too!
The panini half sandwich and Greek salad was delicious. We bought a jar of strawberry jalapeño and a jar peach habanero jelly. So good!
The wait wasn't long at all & the hosts were extremely friendly. Food was extraordinary!! The chips that they serve with the panini bread & hamburger has such an original taste. My mother-in-law had the Cobb salad and said it was soo good! I wish we would've tried the dessert but food's servings were just right & hit the spot.
I had the Ham and Jam. It was absolutely delicious! The combination of the peach habanero jam, fresh Brie and thinly sliced ham had me happy dancing in my chair! Also had the chicken chili soup that was as my mother said "a symphony of flavors in my mouth".
Nice place with small town charm! We had chicken salad and the Jalapeño BLT both excellent! Our server was polite and attentive, good job Rebecca
First time at the Doves Nest. Spiced tea was excellent. Food was outstanding. Very unique offerings for brunch dinning. Our waitress, Rebekah, was attentive and entertaining. We will be back.
We were pleasantly surprised by this small corner restaurant/ shop. The atmosphere was a bit bougie, the service was great and the food was quick, hot & fresh! Not your typical small town restaurant as the menu options are tweaked to impress your ventures taste buds 👌 We will be going back!
My friend suggested to go here for lunch. I was glad she did ,it was a very nice lunch. The food was very good the spiced tea was amazing. Then the stroll around the shop after was great lots of unique items and ornaments, very unique loved it all. Can not wait to go back for dessert since we were so full after lunch we H ad to pass on dessert. Service was great as well always attentive if we needed anything.
This was my second time visiting Dove’s Nest, and it was just as amazing as the first! The food was a 10/10, the atmosphere was so welcoming, and the customer service was excellent. We also stopped by the little shop inside afterward—it was so cute! I love how the community comes together and supports one another. Such a great place to visit!
We are dropping our daughter off at college in Waxahachie and found this adorable place. The food was all so delicious. I had the soup of the day which was green chili with chicken and hominy. Very tasty!! My salad was the Texas Caesar Salad, a yummy twist on your typical Caesar salad. Hubby had a huge and delectable hamburger and my daughter had the panini and house salad. We all loved our food and they topped off their lunch with the strawberry shortcake. We will be back!! Our waitress was sweet and attentive.
Loved our brunch at the Dove’s Nest. We arrived right at opening and it got busy fast. One of us ordered the salad, the other two ordered the special- a ham, green chili, and goat cheese quiche with a cup of chicken chili. Everything was delicious and service was great. We took home a slice of the chocolate chip walnut pie and two of the mousse desserts from the counter cabinet- all were delicious for days afterward. Will be back!
We love the old school vibe of old town Waxahachie and have heard a lot of great things about this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. Their Panini‘s were amazing! Make sure you try one! We loved the Jalapeño sandwich and the desserts were excellent too. Half a sandwich with a cup of soup or salad on the side is sufficient for most as they are quite filling and don’t skimp on the meats in the sandwich.
The Dove's Nest is a great little cafe that serves unique sandwiches and light lunch Faire that never disappoints. Fresh and unique ingredients (eg. Strawberry jalapeño jelly 🤯) make for a really great menu. The ABC dip is a MUST, and get the 1/2 sandwich and salad plate to sample a variety of items. Oh, and dessert is mandatory. We had blackberry bread pudding; good-bye diet! Can't wait to go back.
The Doves Nest has been a Waxahachie destination restaurant for decades with a reputation for quality that is very well deserved. The menu shifts a bit seasonally, but the staples are outstanding time and again. Daily specials are always a good choice. I always order the cauliflower soup and the white chicken chili if they offered. My current favorite item is the Cobb salad, but I sub the smoked salmon for the blackened chicken. And there are no bad dessert choices. My top two are the chocolate bourbon pecan pie and the blackberry bread pudding. Don’t forget to leave some time for shopping the gift shop before or after you’re amazing lunch
This place was so cute, the food was so good and the people were so nice! They had a good amount of unique options on the menu. The orange spice tea was great! We also enjoyed the deviled eggs, the green chicken chili soup, chicken salad and ham jam sandwich. It's also connected to a super cute gift shop 🎁
We walked into a shop and stumbled upon a quaint and charming restaurant so decided to give it a try since it was lunch time. Started off with the deviled eggs (a hubby favorite) and he declared it was delicious. The bacon and jalapeño bit was a nice touch. He decided on the panini and finished it rather quickly so that's AirAsia a good sign. I had the chicken salad and requested that it be toasted with the seasonal house salad. There was so much that I couldn't finish it. They were a little heavy handed with the vinaigrette so I would ask for it on the side. The marcona almonds were a nice touch. We got a hamburger to go for our son and he liked it enough that he asked where we'd gotten it (this 16 year old rates restaurant burgers and has categories so if he's asking it's good! ) The shop is beautifully decorated and provided some great ideas for the fall. Will definitely be back to look for Christmas! There were also some gourmet treats for purchase so take a look at my video and pictures. I picked up some truffle parmesan for our Friday movie nights.
We will definitely be back! Waxahachie has more than 1 great local restaurant but The Dove’s Nest may be a new fave! (A 20 minute wait for 2 people at 11:25am is a good sign that it’s popular!) It’s not the cheapest restaurant but $20ish to be totally stuffed with amazing food is not a bad deal at all! Mom and I usually order our own and split everything so she got the Dove’s Nest Salad Medley ($13.95) with Apricot Chicken Salad and Baby Spinach Salad which was very large and super fresh! The chicken salad has sherried apricots with fresh rosemary honey Dijon mayo which sounds like a strange combo but is probably the best I’ve ever had! The Baby Spinach Salad has apple wood bacon, golden raisins & apples with orange curry dressing… again sounds suspicious but amazing! I ordered the Ham & Jam Sandwich (slices of grilled pit ham & Brie with arugula, mayo and private label peach habanero jam on a toasted ciabatta $12.75) on the recommendation of our very nice, friendly and attentive waitress (Rebekah I think)! Again, didn’t sound super great but ya super great! I got the 1/2 sandwich with a cup of soup as the soup of the day was Green Chile Chicken which can be a bit spicy but this was just about perfect! In case that wasn’t enough food (which it was) we each got an oversized slice of Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie (comes with a double scoop of ice cream for $7.50) which was GREAT! Real metal utensils and cloth napkins in a cool old building (without the increasingly common loud music) are just added bonuses! A few things to be aware of… 1 there’s an upcharge for not paying cash… 2 the entrance to the restaurant is not the door on the side street but through the gift shop door on the corner (which is by design because) 3 you have to go through a great gift shop where you (and especially any female companions) will almost certainly find something to buy. Apparently the Dallas Morning News gave them 3.5 stars (which I think is short by about 1.5) and Texas Monthly magazine voted them one of the top 10 best small town restaurants in Texas! They’re only open for lunch but if you’re in the area it’s a do not miss!
It was my first time here... I had lunch with a couple of friends, one who lives in Waxahachie. Both friends have been there before. I had the chicken salad sandwich. It was so good that, when I saw they sold the mix in the little shop area, I bought two packages to take home!! The service was great, the atmosphere was nice. I will definitely go back if I'm in the area.
The Doves Nest is tucked inside the shop/boutique of the same name. Plenty of seating but a nice cozy bistro/cafe vibe mixed with rustic charm. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Food was made to order and came out pretty quickly. Prices were decent for the quality of the food. I had the Ham and Jam which was VERY Delicious. All the elements worked well together. Highly recommend. The other photo show is the club panini and it was Stacked with the sliced turkey. I subbed the chips for the soup of the day which was White Chili Chicken. It was good but the sandwiches were 10x better. The only iced tea they had was a spiced orange tea. It wasn't bad but I personally think it would work better as a warm tea. Still a decent drink and worth a try, just wish I had another option. All in all it is a lovely place with great people and even better food.
I typically love eating at the Doves Nest. It is the only time I allow myself to have dessert. I first ordered the chicken salad medley. It was absolutely wonderful! I moved on to the bourbon chocolate pecan pie and was amazed when it was sat in front of me. It looked exquisitely divine, but unfortunately did not taste that way. The pie crust looked so appealing but tasted stale and was hard as a rock. I could not eat any of it. The filling was good, but I like crust with every bite of filling and could not eat it. The dessert is expensive enough that I should be assured of its quality and taste, and I was disappointed, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
Really cool little place. Glad we stopped. Service was nice and friendly. We weren't nuts about the Apricot bacon cheddar "ABC" spread. But the deviled eggs, bacon quiche and my wife's club sandwich were all excellent.
We weren't sure about stopping by. We were just passing through your town and wanted something to eat. Couldn't hardly find parking but we did and decided to try doves nest. Service was nice food Good pleasant atmosphere. A little pricey for myself but all in all very nice.
Food was really good and the atmosphere is eclectic and laid-back. Our waitress was either easily distracted or simply doesn't truly pay attention. Requests for refills, condiments, and to-go drinks had to be asked for multiple times.
We went to the Dove's Nest for lunch with our family on a Saturday afternoon. We had to wait for a little bit to get a table, but the wait wasn't too long. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food isn't incredibly original, but it was good. The salad I had was good, and the ham and jam sandwich seems to be a hit. The wait staff did a fine job. The building is very cool, the experience and the atmosphere are what it's all about! Give it a try if you're in the area.
20 minute wait for lunch for six. There is a nice store to browse in while we waited. Nice atmosphere, lots of menu choices. We ordered sandwiches and soup. Ingredients were fresh, portions good. Service was good. Enjoyable experience.
Such a cute place with a great menu. You have to try the ABC dip... it's addicting. We also had the panini club, spinach salad and texas Caesar. All of it was delicious. My only regret is we didn't try the dessert. We watched several come out to other tables and they all looked amazing.
It's a great home grown Cafe in Waxahachie, TX! It is light fare for breakfast or lunch. The food is solid minus a few minor executions with the food. But the infractions I speak of are minor things I am sure will be corrected as time goes by....it is a wonderful spot to shop or eat.
While antique shopping/browsing in wonderful Waxahachie. #hachieheart We stopped at The Doves Nest. Fresh food. Great taste. The place is a restaurant and a cool lil store. Service is great. Cheery patient workers and the customers seemed very comfortable. I would like to return if im in Wax again!
As you go through the nice little store in the front, it opens up to a the restaurant in the back. Lots of stuff that grabbed my attention throughout the store. I chose the Dove's Nest Club Panini and was a very well made sandwich and came with chips on the side. The staff was friendly and food came relatively quick, just seemed to be a bit understaffed. Had someone get the Bourbon Pecan Pie with ice-cream next to me and I had to get it. I have to say this is a must if you have never had it.
Accoustics make for a loud dining experiencebut great service and food..popular with ladies groupd
We visited for lunch on 2/22/24 at 12:43pm. Below is what we ate and a rating from 1-10 -salad medley- 7. Chicken salad was a little dry, fruit was very basic grapes and a small slice of cantaloupe with rind attached -spinach salad, add salmon- 7. Spinach was whole, large and had stems attached, making it a little tough to eat. Salmon was fishier than I prefer but it was still good, orange curry dressing was surprisingly good. -deviled eggs- 9 -forgot the name our server but she was great. -the place is cute, you have to walk through the gift shop in order to eat here- smart. I didn’t buy anything but saw a few items I liked. When we arrived, we were told it was a 20 minute wait., so we made a quick restroom stop there in the gift shop. As we both emerged from the restroom no more than 3 minutes later- a young lady was yelling, our name out repeatedly… And loud, this was a little embarrassing, and did not start our experience off very well. -Piece of feedback I have this: more and more we are driven to a cashless society, almost no one takes cash anymore-but this place offers a “cash discount”.. but don’t be fooled by that, it is an up charge for using a card. This seems like a low class money grab, just price your items for everyone regardless of their form of payment. People should not be charged for using a card in this day and age. The place is certainly cute and quaint and if we are in Waxahachie again, anytime soon, we may stop by again
Visited in the afternoon, about an hour before close and ordered the hamburger. While described as being served medium, the burger arrived just short of well done, but was still nice and moist. Overall, I felt that the burger was a bit bland and unremarkable. The Bourbon Pecan Pie with ice cream, however, was amazing! It had a nice, cake-like texture rather than a traditional pecan pie filling, and was drizzled with chocolate. The pecans were enough to give a nice contrasting texture, but not overwhelm the other aspects of the dessert. I did notice that the table next to me received the incorrect order, and called the server back over within a few minutes. The server apologized and removed the plates, but then delivered them directly to their intended destination. I would want to be confident that my food hadn't sat at another table before being delivered to me. Otherwise the service was extremely friendly and efficient.
Charming and fun but not safe during a pandemic: If you like southern-style diners and boutiques, this place is great! Their shop is very cute and the restaurant is homey with great food. All of the servers were kind and patient with tons of southern hospitality. My only concern was with their protocol during COVID-19. None of the workers or servers wore masks or gloves. They even had a sign up at the front reminding people of their rights not to wear a mask (a bit passive aggressive and political in my opinion). When our waitress came to our table to answer a question, she stood directly over me and my food. When I visibly pulled back from her, she pulled in even closer. To add to this, they definitely seated over 50% of their capacity. The restaurant itself was charming with good food, but the staff need to be trained on safer and better standards of serving.
Food was okay. Service could have been better. Waitress got smart with me when I asked about the food. Seeing as it was my first time, I knew nothing about how their food was prepared. Thought it unnecessary. Probably will not return.
Food used to be so good. A Waxahachie institution. Sorry to say some of it wasn't. Cheese almond dip-grated cheese-no! Bean soup was good. Chicken salad-too dry. I'd be happy to share a few recipes!
Picked up a few stocking stuffers from their shop, which is large and cozy. No vegan options in their restaurant.
The burgers are fine- the menu says they are cooked medium, but they are well done. They haven't got a ton of flavor, and they're very basic. Everything on the menu is very basic. You don't get types or styles of burgers, you just get the burger. The one thing on the burger that was a bit different was the pickles. They are sweet- I liked them. But the flavor didn't match the rest of the burger. It would have made more sense if it was on a burger with goat cheese and jam or something We got the deviled eggs as well (not pictured)- they only come with three half eggs and we're not very flavorful either, I wouldn't recommend them. The bread pudding was described as having berries in it- it doesn't, it's just a basic bread pudding with berry sauce on top. It's extremely sugary. It was pretty tasty, but not what I expected. All in all, the food is fine, but everything here is overpriced, and none of it was particularly great
Nothing says “Get Out” like stacking the chairs on tables while customers are still eating. I was very disappointed and found it to be very tacky that the employees started stacking chairs on tables while we were still eating. And not just eating, we had just been served our food. I get that we arrived at 1-1:30ish, but you’re still open. We weren’t the only people there. We didn’t take long to order. We didn’t linger. This is so rude. And the owner/manager was right there. So he clearly directed this behavior. I worked in food service as a teen. Standard practice is to wait until the restaurant is empty to stack chairs. Sweep the floors, wipe everything, do other closing duties, but stacking chairs is a final closing item. It said “get out”. We would have ordered dessert, but honestly, I didn’t want to give you any more of my money…and clearly, even though it was offered, you wanted us out. That said, our server was lovely. Iced tea was great, place was cute, food was fine, better than some places, but not special. Price was high. In fact, I might have gotten the wrong bill, but it’s my fault that I didn’t check closely before paying. At any rate, I’m sad to say, we won’t be back.
Here’s the thing, I really want to give this place 5 stars but I cannot. The food is good, yes- but can you please update your menu or atleast let your patrons know that menu prices have changed? Or there is a pretty significant percentage added if using a CC? Not sure what happened but I have included a photo of my receipt with the prices I paid and the prices listed on the menu, there is a discrepancy in every item we ordered off of the menu, including soft drinks. And unfortunately our server made us feel rushed, I never felt more pestered while eating my appetizer to order an entree. She just seemed very annoyed and that we were taking too much of her time. You guys should do better with customer service, food was tasty though.
I ordered the Cobb Salad that came with featured dressing. The dressing was watered down and was like milk in the bottom of the bowl. It did not come with any bread or crackers. My wife’s sandwich had brown lettuce on it. The place was extremely loud in the front. The server was ok, but never followed up about our meal. Overall disappointing experience.
This was our first and last time we eat here. I asked for an unsweetened tea and I was brought an orange tea. I told the waitress I’m allergic to oranges.( so allergic anaphylactic shock)She responded with that’s our unsweetened tea as if I should know that and was annoyed. I then asked for a regular sweet tea. We never were asked if we wanted refills on our drinks at anytime, never was asked if everything was alright. Yet we were asked if we wanted dessert. Our tip to you, people have allergies that can be very serious, check on your tables and lose the attitude.
The owner felt he did us a “favor” by filling up his restaurant with a wedding party. We tried to explain separate checks would be necessary before we ordered our food. We were rudely told no and that everyone will be on one check. After this bad experience the owner made sure to tell everyone that they “need to leave the waiter a good tip” and proceeded to check and see if tips were left and gave the receipt back if there was not one. Do not come here if you don’t like rude ownership. BTW we had reservations with a deposit!!!!!!!!!!
