Cypress Street Station Abilene Reviews
Had dinner here for Valentine’s Day and the owner brought out complimentary champagne which was really sweet. We got the ahi tuna tostadas but I forgot to get a picture but they were really good! I almost wanted to order another plate because I wanted more, for the main, my boyfriend got the shrimp and crawfish etouffee, it had a spicy kick but wasn’t overwhelmingly hot and had a lot of flavor. I had the steak coulette and honestly think it was the best steak I’ve had. The mushroom demi glacé on the steak was amazing as well. We got creme brulee for dessert and I almost ate my half and his! Overall everything taste amazing and our server was so kind and attentive as well, I just wish I had remembered her name so I could give her praise for taking care of us that evening! Will absolutely be back
Visiting Abilene tonight and we had dinner here at Cypress Street Station. Food was great!! We were with a big group and ordered several appetizers to share. Calamari and the Scallops were excellent!! Had one of the steaks for dinner. Steak was good and the mushroom and wine reduction sauce was awesome!!

Cindy and I enjoyed our lunch experience. The food (meatloaf sandwich and rueben) was really good. Our server, Colby , was as good a server as one could ever want.
First time in Abilene for work and wanted a good meal so I stopped by Cypress street station for dinner. The hostess, servers and manager were very friendly and attentive. I asked my server for food recommendations and he wisely suggested the bayou Florentine....fantastic choice!! Tons of shrimp, crawfish, along with Cajon blackened catfish, on a bed of noodles with a super flavorful sauce!! After pretty much licking the bowl clean, the server also suggested the totally toffee dessert....yall that hot bundt cake with ice cream is one of the best restaurant desserts I've ever had!! Coming from central Texas, where we have a lot a great foodie places, my 1st stop at Cypress street station was top shelf!! Will 100% be back!
I was determined to get a delicious, quality lunch today even though my schedule was tighter than I liked. From the time I walked in the door as a lone luncher, to the time I left the building was 28 minutes with a happy heart and stomach. All of this accomplished with grace (thanks, server Leslie) and every table full. Hats off to your staff!
Very nice restaurant in downtown Abilene, offerings steaks, seafood, and chicken entrees as well as standard American fare, burgers, chicken strips, etc. Full bar and nice selection of craft beers. The meatloaf was very tasty and a generous portion! Our local friend made reservations, so that might be a good idea.
WOW ! We were a large group (10) with no reservation on a busy Thursday night. No Problem ! We got the private "Back Room" which was great. We were able to watch the Baseball playoffs and have a great dinner with 10 different entrees . Our server (Trey?) was fantastic . The big surprises were the great wines and Barramundi ... In Abilene !!!
Our waitress was so nice! The meat they serve is so tender that we probably wouldn’t have needed a steak knife to cut it. Great atmosphere, and the chefs made our food quickly! Everyone should definitely go here when in Abilene!
We always enjoy our trip to Cypress Street. As we find our way to our table, the art and decor is enjoyable on the vintage walls of the antique building. I am so impressed with the specialty drink menu, that I can never decide but I have enjoyed all of the ones I tried. We often choose the special because it's always something we never see on any other menu. Some of our favorites is their fish dishes. We usually start off with the calimari appetizer because it is amazing! The staff is the most friendly that you'll find in Texas.
Katie was an absolutely great Waitress, she was very kind and did not bother us every second. She kept a smile on her face throughout the experience. The food was fantastic, I had the New York Strip Med Rare and it melted in my mouth. The best Anniversary Dinner I have had yet.
This has been on my list of must tries in town and they didnt disappoint. You feel welcomed the moment you enter, the cozy atmosphere takes you away. The food was absolutely delicious, the flavors were on point creating a nice flavor party on your pallete. Truly devine one of the best flavors in Abilene. My wife had the bacon wrapped quail with honey sauce, and I had the crusted veal which was tender and loaded with juicy flavors, actually still tasting it 🤣. My Entre was off the regular menu so it might not be there when you go, just ask your server. Everyone in town seems to do calamari but theirs is different its not deep fried and hard crusted but seeming lightly fried and served in a sweet chillie sauce absolutely devine. Our server was amazing, she made great suggestions, and kept checking on us. The floor manager was also amazing she actually brought our entrees which is not something you see very often. Great atmosphere, great service and awesome flavors will definitely be back. Side note if there is still construction ongoing on the street, park behind the grace buulding and walk around to the front. Definitely give them a try.
We wanted to try this out while we were in town and my goodness we were blown away! Trey gave the best service I’ve ever had in any restaurant and that includes some of the finest dining restaurants in Texas! We recommend the Farmhouse Pasta and Bayou Chicken Pasta which was perfectly cooked. The flavors of the dishes came together so well that we could help but leave a great review! The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere has a high end but old town feel. Please come give this place a shot if you are in town.
We came here for lunch on a Friday and were seated immediately. We ordered the sweet chili calamari as an appetizer - the sauce was great! But the calamari was rather thick for our preference, closer to the size of a fish stick. I ordered the stuffed avocado as my main and it was fantastic! I would definitely order it again. Very tasty.
RECOMMEND for a special occasion. Most patrons were nicely dressed, and celebrating one thing or another. We dined in as an early dinner, as visitors to the local area. Enjoyed 1) the daily special grilled swordfish, rice and vegetables 2) Fish and Chips and 3) Burger. *Fish was perfectly seasoned & prepared, Fish & chips were good and the burger was good. Service was fantastic!
Nestled in the heart of beautiful downtown, Abilene.Cypress Street's well thought menu, flavorful combos plated with artistry, and high-end big city style make it the ultimate dining destination for both locals and visitors. It is the one and only place where everyone should experience a truly exceptional dining experience, while in Abilene. I must say, the service was truly exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and attentive staff. They were prompt in taking my order and making sure all my needs were met throughout the entire dining experience. The team at Cypress Street goes above and beyond to provide top-notch service, making you feel like a valued guest. We will make this our routine dining experience every time we are in town.
Great waiter and waitress! The potatoes were most flavorful part of the meal and really tasty. The lack of seasoning on the NY strip leaves a lot to be desired. It was, however, cooked to a perfect medium rare as requested and the quality of the beef seemed fairly high. From this limited experience, I cannot recommend a steak for dinner.
I was with a big group of people at dinner time. Our server was really nice. She did a good job of helping us accommodate our dietary needs. One couple was vegan, I have to eat gluten free and my husband is lactose intolerant. The food tasted good but the portions compared to the price of the food did not seem proportional and seemed over priced. Toward the end of my dinner my water ran out and I had to take my husband's because the server didn't come back for a little while. Overall it was good.
