I first made a reservation at Bar Sprezzatura for my birthday dinner before heading to the Punch Line. I ordered the Fresh Bigoli Liberty Duck Ragù, which quickly joined the clean plate club. I also enjoyed the Sprezz Reviver cocktail with dinner, followed by an espresso to stay caffeinated for the evening. The dinner ended on a sweet note with a surprise tiramisu topped with a candle. It was a thoughtful touch! On my second visit, I opted for Moroccan mint tea and shared appetizers with colleagues for lunch. The Caprese and Mushroom Forest Floor were favorites. Both appetizers were vegetarian-friendly and perfect for sharing with the table. The Scampi Alla Veneziana pasta was also delectable. It’s not easy to impress an entire team, but Bar Sprezzatura delivered.

Lovely seating, easy to access with Great parking below the restaurant. Nice atmosphere. I ordered a squash soup that was delicious 😋. A chopped salad that was pretty bad actually. Butter. A bad salad. I tried to like it but it was just bad. And then I ordered meatballs and a pasta and my gosh! It's THE BEST pasta sauce I have ever tried anywhere! The pasta was good their meatballs were also good but the sauce was a symphony of flavor. So delicious. Highly recommend it. Lovely atmosphere. Nice restaurant. Delicious pasta and meatballs in delicious red tomato sauce.

Beautiful setting and top notch cocktails and food! The atmosphere is intimate and stylish, perfect for a night out or a date. The cocktails are thoughtfully crafted, balanced, and clearly made by bartenders who know what they’re doing. We had a tower of chichettis, the gem salad (the goddess dressing is lovely!), and finished with some pasta. We also tried the pistachio cake for dessert and an affogato. Everyone we interacted with was very thoughtful and knowledgeable about the menu, we will be back!

A sleek, charmingly slightly snooty (in a good way that always makes me smile), elevated venue with a sophisticated and adventurous food and cocktail menu. Visited 10+ times since it opened and keep coming back for the reliable quality, attentive service, and an atmosphere that allows for celebration and conversation concurrently without shouting to make yourself heard. The decor is handsome, there's plenty of space between tables, and bathrooms are all individual stalls, which is cool. Highly recommend a visit.

Best high-class restaurant in San Francisco. You must come to Bar Sprez! The meatballs are in the most delicious sauce. The cheese is absolutely exceptional. The service is second to none, the way things used to be and should be. It’s the best place for a high society and intimate conversations.

Bar Sprezzatura was fantastic! We had such a wonderful time for my birthday. We got sat a couple minutes late, but the host and manager Danny gave us a glass of sparkling and made us feel at so welcome. The food and service were spectacular! Michelle was so attentive and helpful. We’ve lived in SF for 10 years, and this may have been the best service we’ve experienced. The drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is super classy. We loved our evening at Bar Sprezzatura.

I LOVE Bar Sprezzatura. Their cocktail program is amazing, so may fun and creative options. And they have an excellent selection of N/A options as well. Food is fantastic. Visited for Pasta Day (10/19/24) and enjoyed the 4 course pasta pre-fix for 2, a bargain at $118. We also ordered the forest floor - a delicious collection of mushrooms, and mushroom spread with toast, and finished the meal with the tiramisu - one of the best I've ever had. I'd been before, and was really impressed with everything. Service is quick, efficient, and friendly. And of course the art deco ambiance is lovely and comfortable. Great spot for a nice night out.

Outstanding! Amazing drinks amazing service amazing atmosphere. I can't say enough about this place. Can't wait to take all my Intown visitors here to eat. We loved everything about this beautiful restaurant whether you're a local or a tourist. This is a must for anyone. what a gem the city has! Fernando was the best waiter ever and the hostess crew welcomed us with a personalized anniversary card and glass of champagne. The ambience is beautiful and the special touches they add make this not just a meal but an experience repeating over and over again.

Bar Sprezzatura is a hidden gem in the heart of San Francisco, offering an unforgettable dining experience inspired by the casual elegance of Italy. From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a world of vibrant colors, exquisite design, and impeccable service. The menu showcases a delightful selection of cicchetti and an impressive wine list. Don't miss the opportunity to sample their signature cocktails, expertly mixed with a variety of Italian spirits and liqueurs. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic dinner, a casual night out with friends, or even a special occasion. One of the highlights of Bar Sprezzatura is their stunning patio, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. It's the ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely meal or a glass of wine while soaking up the California sunshine. Whether you're a fan of Italian cuisine or simply looking for a unique dining experience, Bar Sprezzatura is a must-visit. La

What an amazing night! I came here with a friend and we had an incredible time. The cocktails were absolutely top-notch – some of the best I've had anywhere. I was especially excited to see they carried the gin brand from the company I work for, and the way they used it in their creations was outstanding. Carlo (the owner) and JD (the bartender) were both super friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. JD crafted a few custom cocktails for us that were truly exceptional – creative, balanced, and delicious. The vibe was fun and relaxed, making it a perfect place to unwind and enjoy quality drinks. Highly recommend this gem of a bar – can’t wait to come back!

Delicious food and excellent service. My friend and I particularly loved the tuna carpaccio, forest floor cicchetti, and scampi alla veneziana. It has been a while since I’ve been excited about a new restaurant (too many focus on presentation and/or uniqueness at the expense of taste and service). Bar Sprezzatura gets the balance right with delicious food using fresh ingredients, excellent service, and a beautiful dining area. I can’t wait to go back. For those who have a gluten intolerance, Bar Sprezzatura has excellent choices.

Perfect date night spot. Atmosphere is chic and romantic. They do smaller places which are perfect for a light bite with a drink. We thought the fish dishes were incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Pasta was amazing.

Loved the experience! Great cocktails and friendly, down-to-earth staff. The crowd was a nice mix of polished casual and night-out attire. Not pretentious. The high ceilings and glass windows give off Lincoln Ristorante (NYC) or The Murray (Hong Kong) vibes. Will be back!

At the risk of sounding over the top, I was utterly enchanted by this place! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and we were thrilled by the experience. The entire staff signed a little card for us and we were treated to sparkling wine. The atmosphere there is festive and beautiful. The cocktails were inventive and delicious, the food was delectable, and the service was so warm and attentive. You can really tell how much pride the staff takes in the cuisine and the restaurant. We had a wonderful time there and I can't wait to go back!

Very stylish spot. I’ve been there a couple of times after catching a show at Punchline. The staff are very helpful. We often don’t have reservations and they accommodate us by getting us a table (I highly recommend reserving a table though) . The food and drinks are excellent. As others have mentioned, the meatballs and the duck pasta are superb.

A+ for service! The restaurant was fully booked and my friend accidentally booked us a reservation for the next day. We thought we’d try our luck in case one of the parties didn’t show and we opted to wait by the bar. The host and servers were really sweet, the latter offered us a really nice rose while we waited and soon enough they were able to seat us. They made sure my dietary restriction was accommodated, and the dishes we ordered were really good. My favorite was the fish (pictured, sorry I forget what kind it was). It was so buttery soft and flavorful, I’d go back just to have that again.

Beautiful place. Good non alcoholic selection Strawberry basil mocktail: delicious combination of tart and cream! Molecola sugar free: bland Guanciale meatball: ok Heirloom tomato: good but maybe not worth 14 you’re definitely paying for the vibe Duck bigoli pasta: delicious but also expensive at 32 for the portion size Loud sometimes

The food is amazing. All pasta dishes ordered were highly complimented by our party. The beet salad is delicious with a generous portion. It is loud so we had difficulty hearing each other at our large table for dinner. It has a beautiful view with large glass windows.

Beautiful restaurant and great service. I appreciate the additional options for those who have seafood allergies. We visited on Valentine’s Day for dinner. The food was good but service was slow. It seemed as if they were not prepared for the dinner service and were a bit disorganized. Our main dish was very rare and we were not even asked how we would like our meat cooked. Our waiter was great and was apologetic for the wait between courses. Probably won’t return for dinner but may return for cocktails as it’s a nice establishment with great views.

I have been very eager to visit Bar Sprezzatura. It was around 3pm, an hour before dinner service that I was finally able to visit. The experience would end up being lighter fare and drinks on the lunch menu, so take this review with a grain of salt as I did not order entrees. Firstly, the bar itself is constructed on what appears to have been the ground floor of a building atop dark sanguine bricks. Floor to ceiling windows give the appearance of an indoor space, but you can see the exposed bricks peeking through parts of the floor. The massive wooden bar reaches up toward the ceiling and covers nearly the entire width of the restaurant. There's a scenic view of the iconic Transamerica Pyramid just outside the windows. It was etched inside a Collins ice cube included in my first cocktail, the Fumo Rosa, which is made of Siete Misterios Doba-Yej mezcal, clarified grapefruit sancho-yuzu Japanese bermutto, pomello cordial, ruby grapefruit with Sal de Gusano aka worm salt brushed on the glass. It tasted a bit like a flat Paloma. The worm salt gave it a bit more complexity and weight, but what was in the glass tasted a bit diluted and light on flavor. My partner ordered a mocktail that was a lemon-based spritz with a ton of lavender. The appetizers we ordered were all very minute in terms of portion size. We ordered the Stracci & Caviar, Seared Ahi, Deviled Eggs, Roasted Beet Salad and half-a-dozen oysters on the half shell. The Stracci & Caviar and Seared Ahi arrived side by side on one plate. They were literally bite size portions for over 20 dollars each. The flavor was unremarkable. The classic unfortunate dish which does not add up to the sum of its parts. The stracciatella lacked flavor and the caviar and ground pistachios did not accent it enough to stand out. At least not with a single bite. Maybe after 3 or 4 of them you'd get more from it. The seared ahi tuna on crostini was even less memorable. I've had similar appetizers at upscale hotel buffets but obtainable by the plateful. The deviled eggs had cured anchovies and were decent. The oysters were immaculately shucked and topped with a prosecco mignonette. No issues with those two dishes. The roasted beet salad was loaded with the bitter taste of radicchio despite the fresh goat cheese and citrus ingredients. In my opinion, more citrus and beets and less raddichio would've helped balance the dish out a bit more. The appetizer and cocktail-focused experience here was disappointing and fell short of my other recent cocktail and appetizer experiences at Bar Crenn, Anchovy Bar, Dalida, Protégé and Horsefeather. That said, I would like to try their pastas and other entrees some other time and would be willing to update my review if they are an improvement over the appetizers.

In generally, I would recommend the place for a drink and a chat to anyone. The place is really nice the staff are really friendly. But the restaurant smells like warm seafood, it wasn’t pleasant at all ( you will not notice it after couple of minutes). I think the downside was the food and drinks. They were looking very nice but very very small portions for appetizers. Also the meatballs are not recommended at all. I also got espresso martini which was very basic, in general for the price the food didn’t worth it.

dishes were great. My negroni was not well made. It came sort of warm. Services was not that great. A lot of little misses that overall amounted to some disappointment: we were left with no waiter for more than half an hour, finally we waived somebody else to take our orders. We got two menus for four people. We got packed with all our coats in a tiny table. All these would be fine in a regular restaurant, I would not mind at all. however, given the prices and given that I have the impression bar sprezzatura would like to project an upscale image, I would say these are pretty significant misses
