Went here specifically for the all you can drink beer and sake for $10pp but was pleasantly surprised by the ramen. Portion was generous and the broth was flavorful without being overly salty. It was also served piping hot which was a plus for a cold rainy day. The spicy edamame took a while to come but they are a perfect drinking snack and I highly recommend them in addition to a meal. The kimchi was good too. Didn't wow me like the edamame but also another solid drinking snack. Impressively the lone server was seating people, taking orders, running food and cleaning tables all alone while still being attentive which stood out to me because it was fairly busy. Great experience and I look forward to visiting again.

I loved this little ramen place! We ordered a few appetizers (spicy wings and dumplings)... which were just so tasty. And the ramen was rich and full of every floor you want to be in there. I have three glasses of sake for the happy house deal and got me a good buzz for the The Harold at The Upright Citizens Brigade! We wanted to "eat out" while we were in NYC with a little bit of spending money before we sell it all to join the comedy circus!

After seeing Jiro-style ramen in anime, I could finally try one in NYC. Kamisama Ramen has just opened near Union Square that specializes in jiro ramen. Jiro ramen is well-known for hearty portion with a lot of bean sprouts and vegetables. The broth is more pungent and thicker than regular ramen, as extra garlic and pork fat are added. *Spicy Jiro Ramen $17** *Tonkotsu Ramen $17 I thought the flavors of jiro ramen would be too aggressive for my liking, but it turned out I enjoyed every slurp of it. The noodles were thicker which held up the broth well. I usually disliked bean sprouts but I devoured them all. They were so delicious with the broth! The pork chashu was smoky and quite tender, while my bf thought it was a little tough for his liking. Highly recommend spicy jiro ramen if you can tolerate spice. I almost drank up the whole broth. I added a soft boiled egg ($2) and it was very worth it. *Gyu Donburi $17 ** *Mentaiko Fried Rice $17 The gyudon amazed me. Even though I could make gyudon at home, they made it ten times better!! The sliced beef was marinated in a sweet and umami sauce and the rice was mixed with it. Chef’s kiss. Mentaiko didn’t add much flavor, but the fried rice was good to pair with other appetizers. *Karaage $10 * *Takoyaki $9 The karaage came with spicy mayo and yuzu sauce. The meat was juicy and tasted good with both dips. Takoyaki lived up to my expectation and each piece had a bouncy squid inside. Pro tip: they currently offer 10% off for students. Check out their ig for the coupon.

This new ramen place is a hidden gem that specializes in jiro ramen! the broth is so flavorful and rich and the noodles are the perfect chewy texture. my favorite though had to be the mackerel set; it has such a clean feel to it and the mackerel has such good flavor. we also got the tako wasabi, agedashi tofu and the gyoza. my favorite had to be the gyoza it was so juicy! overall a great place, especially now in the winter as it’ll definitely warm you up

Great service(shout-out Gera)! We had a wonderful time with the group. I had gyu donburi, friends had tonkotsu ramen and shoyu ramen, and all were great. The service alone did make me want to come back.

This is the coziest ramen spot you will go to. I loved seeing the Nana poster. The waiter and service was a 10/10, our waiter’s name was Gere. The food was amazing and we did not have to wait long. The ramen was hot, delicious and very filling. I definitely recommend ordering the Tayoki for an appetizer. Overall, this is a hidden gem, I recommend visiting this place for some yummy ramen.

Ate here with my family on a recent trip to New York. The Ramen was outstanding, probably the best thing I ate in the entire week. The traditional shio had a broth that was sheer perfection, the noodles were excellent. Everything was just exactly the way you wanted it to be. Great service too.

This ramen restaurant is really a surprise! The soup is very rich but not greasy. The noodles are chewy and chewy, and the ingredients are also very fresh. The service staff is very good and will patiently introduce the menu. The overall dining experience is very comfortable, and the environment is also very Japanese. I will definitely come again next time.

I ordered the curry ramen with karaage and edamame there. Great staff/servers that helped us. I love the setting, the all day happy hour. Food is phenomenal, and even when busy, you still get serviced.

Food was amazing. I came with my girlfriend on a date night and we had a good time. She ordered the deluxe tonkotsu ramen and I ordered the classic tonkotsu ramen. Service was super quick. As well as the kitchen staff for having the food ready so quickly. The $10 all you can drink for an hour deal is perfect for having a good time. Would definitely come back here.

I currently live in Seattle where there is a thriving Ramen scene. But let me just say that Kamisama exceeded the quality and taste from any place I have been to in Seattle! Also the customer service was great! They have great drinks specials and the soup and broth was BEYOND tasty! I highly recommend Kamisama!

The food was so good. The service was even better. We came here with a party of 10 with for my friend’s birthday. We got the all you can drink deal and it was so worth it. The ramen tasted really good and was a good portion size. The head waiter was so so nice. He was so accommodating to our party. If you are debating on whether or not to come here pull the trigger.

There was a Nana poster in front when I walked in. That's how I know the ramen would be amazing. Very cozy ambience with equally thoughtful wait staff. Kudos to the chef

Wonderful experience ✨ The food and drinks were delicious. The service was also great. My table ordered the tsukemen ramen with pork chasu, the signature tonkatsu jiro ramen with chicken (get pork if you go!), and the mackerel set to share. I HIGHLY recommend the mackerel set, iichiko pina, and summer cooler! The alcoholic drinks were super yummy and refreshing. I’d definitely come again 😄

I had my first Valentine's Day date for the first time here :) I can really say that it was a pleasant and delicious experience 😋 The staff is very friendly and professional. I tried it was the Spicy Jiro Ramen. I loved it ❤️🍜 My partner wanted to order Donburi but unfortunately there wasn't :c (I will definitely come next time to get it) so, He ordered Katsu Don. The portions are very generous and worth it for what it costs 😄 I added a appetizer (Karaage Chicken). I was satisfied and will definitely come back and recommend this gem to my friends :)

It was our first time here. We ordered spicy jiro ramen with chicken and karaage chicken donburi. The ramen was really good and wholesome. Loved the broth. The donburi was okayish. It was rice with a little cabbage slaw, chillies and fried chicken karaage. Served with miso soup and sauce on the side. Fried chicken was tender and crispy and the cabbage was good too(very small portion). That’s it. Nothing else had any taste. Very one dimensional flavor. Rice was a lot compared to the cabbage. Service was good, cozy small place.

The food was quite delicious. I came during afternoon happy hour so it was nicely slow. The house sake was okay, as expected. The spicy miso ramen was the perfect amount of spice and flavorful; though, next time I’ll get either the pork or grilled chicken because the fried chicken wasn’t my vibe. Overall, 4.5/5

I’m being generous with the 4 stars. The broth is just lacking in depth and flavor. The bowl is small, which gives it an appearance of being overloaded. The egg is cooked perfectly soft-boiled, but it is an extra $2. The chashu tastes like your bulk-ordered chashu from a chinese wholesaler. Spice level on the Spicy Jiro is maybe a 3-4 out of 10. Surprisingly, the ramen is NOT too salty, compared to many other ramen shops in NYC/JC. Overall, does it taste okay? Yeah. But I wouldn’t come back for it. However, I did see they have a $10 all-you-can-drink pp thing going on daily, with a min $5 purchase on any food item (edamame, etc.). That could be a fun time, if you have friends coming for an after-work vibe. Quiet atmosphere on a Friday evening, about $24 after tax and tip, without add-ons. The base ramen price is $19 for Spicy Jiro, as of August 2025. Server was friendly.

Stopped by because friend suggested for their $10 drinks, food was ok, service was good and quick even though they were packed. Did I have better ramen? Yes. Did I have worse ramen? Yes. Hits perfectly in the middle. Would highly recommend for drinks though

Ambiance (4/5): The establishment is pretty small. When we arrived before 7, we were able to be immediately seated. By 7:30p, there was a line of 6 waiting to be seated. The decorations felt similar to the ramen shops in Japan. The wooden panel walls and floors gave it a rustic look and had a bar in the back. Service (2/5): The restaurant was under staffed with one guy running the floor and a backup jumping in from time-to-time. It took a while to get our orders in and took some time for our food to be provided. We had to wave down the server to get checked out. Ramen (3/5): I got the tsukemen ramen (dipping) which with was pork and fish based. The noodles were perfectly thick, chewy, and cold. The broth was concentrated and served in a piping hot stone bowl, which did well in keeping the broth warm throughout the meal. The only toppings were a few slices of bamboo shoots, green onions, and a nori. The pork charsiu was great--large cuts, a good blend of fat to meat, seasoned well, and soft. Overall, felt like the broth was a bit of a letdown and not as umami as I had hoped, comparing to other ramen shops which I preferred more. Curry Ramen: Tasted pretty standard but also nothing to write home about. The soft boiled egg (pictured) is extra. AYCD all you can drink special happy hour of beer and sake $10 for 1 hour, Friday to Sunday all day happy hour is $5 glass for beer, sake, and wine!! (with a minimum spend of $15 of food pp)

A little ramen shop on 14th, heaters and small wooden seats, a few manga books to read on your wait. The tonkotsu comes with options for cahshu or chicken, no/with garlic, and no/with pork fat. It's a good savory choice, hot and refreshing, yellow ramen noodles, add a soft-boiled egg for $2 which was seasoned well. The spicy jiro ramen with miso and konbu was disappointing. It'd be better as the tonkatsu broth. The chashu was good, would be better grilled or use a torch to render it a bit. The fried chicken was so-so, oil tasted too old. The tako wasabi was a healthy portion with seaweed and spicy - love the fresh wasabi mixed with fresh octopus. Overall, had better ramen. Service was winding down (we came in close to 2:15p, which is near their break between 3-5pish?), but they left a water carafe on the table and accepted card (they bring a machine to your table).

Jiro Ramen is my all time favorite with rice broth, thick noodle and garlic flavor. I usually go to another place for jiro ramen, when i see this new place I was excited to want to try. I had the Spicy Jiro ramen $17 for a good portion, with some toppings , but no egg and some bean sprouts on top. i was expecting a lot more topping that's usually what Jiro ramen is famous for. the broth is not as thick as it supposed to be and not extra fat either which was a little let down. their spicy level is a little high even i like spicy but i think it's to the point is not really enjoyable. noodle does not have the chewy texture feels a bit overcooked. the best part of the whole bowl is the chashu pork, it's very tender and thick. wish they torched a little bit to give a bit burnt and smoky flavor Overall the ramen is ok. it's conveniently located near union square. i would come back for convenience but probably will travel extra for a better option. Service is a bit slow even after 9pm

Rating: 4/10 Date Last Visited: 1/18/2026 I ordered the Chicken Karaage ($10) and Deluxe Tonkotsu Black Garlic ($22). The karaage was great, one of the best I’ve had at a ramen restaurant. The tonkotsu ramen was decent. The chashu was great and the garlic added some flavor, but it was a bit too salty for me. The soup felt heavy and the noodles were just decent. I think the ramen is pretty overpriced for the quality and portion size. For over $20, the ramen didn’t feel special at all. Overall, I would only recommend this place if you want decent ramen but I think there’s plenty of other spots in the area worth checking out.

Here is a real review. A very bad imitation of jiro ramen. The jiro style tonkotsu ramen was underwhelming at best. The chasu was dry because it is not pork belly. It's just marinated pork loin that had a light sear. The broth was mediocre and does not have that thick pork broth taste. This is definitely NOT simmered for hours with pork bones. The flavor was bland and the texture was watery. It's a poor imitation at best. The egg is also $2. The makeral tsukemen was not good. The makeral was dry and fishy. It was the same tonkotsu pork broth. The makeral and the broth did not go well at all. This is not even close to real tsukemen. It's just broth on the side with grilled makeral on top. 0/5. The karaage didn't taste like karaage. It's just fried chicken but definitely does not taste like Japanese karaage. The flavor was off. I can make better karaage at home. There was no mirin, sake, garlic, ginger marinade. It's just fried chicken and definitely not Japanese style karaage. The fried rice with a tablespoon of cod roe was $17. This was okay. Not much comment here. But definitely not worth $17. Overall a very bad "ramen" place. Service was nice though. However, there is terrible smell from the incense shop next door. Not restaurants fault but the odor definitely didn't help. If you write a google review. You get to play this dice game to get a discount at the end of meal. So that's why all the 5 star reviews. Tabetomo is the only authentic jiro style ramen and tsukemen in town. Really disappointed at Kamisama. (Okiboro at Essex is also mediocre IMO)
