Ki Sushi Albee Square Reviews
I'm particular about my sushi and have struggled to find passable sushi in this area but I have to say, Ki Sushi was fantastic. The Ki Roll was an amazing blend of complementary flavors, from the salmon to the tuna and avocado with the decadent caviar and roe. Sashimi was freshly made too. The age dashi tofu which my friend ordered was also freshly made, had just the right amount of tempura, and was crisp and hot out the fryer. Altogether a wonderful meal and I would definitely be back again really soon!
A friend of mine brought me here a year ago. Now I can’t stop coming back! And every time I come here I smile all the way home :)Their sushi is so fresh and very friendly staff :) highly recommend Ki Sushi ☺️
Really good service. Enjoyed the crispy rice. Appreciated the waiter keeping my partners tea filled!
Some of the best sushi I've had in NYC! Inventive rolls and very fresh fish! Truly excellent stuff.
Came here for a Thursday night dinner with a friend. The restaurant has a classy-chic decor with a warm, intimate atmosphere. It was busier than I would expect for 8PM on a Thursday, but it did not feel overly crowded and was not too loud. The server was very friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly and our order was correct. I had the seafood dynamite appetizer and two types of salmon roll. The seafood dynamite with scallops, mussels, shrimp, and shiitake mushroom was a beautiful blend of seafood, spice, cream, and umami. I don't think I've ever had anything quite like that at a sushi place! It was delicious and a generous portion. The sushi itself was on par with what you would expect from a good sushi restaurant in the city. Will definitely be going back in the future!
We are foodies. We are a little snobby about food. We rarely go back to places more than once. We have been back here 6 times. It’s excellent. The staff is nice. The food is great. The prices are reasonable for very good sushi. Highly recommend!
5 sushi chefs and actual fish flown in from Tsukiji market in Tokyo! Tender and flavorful- great creative offerings- we loved the Dream Roll and spicy fish on crispy rice appetizer. And the salmon appetizer was a truly amazing taste experience both in flavor and texture. Garlic broccoli was superb and plentiful! And my brother who doesn't like California rolls said it was probably the best he had ever had.
Ki Sushi made our date night absolutely perfect! We sat at the sushi bar, and it was such a unique experience to watch the chefs in action. They were incredibly friendly, answering all our questions about the sushi as they prepared it, which added such a personal and interactive touch to the evening. The ambiance was intimate and romantic, just right for a special night out. We loved that we could bring a bottle from our favorite wine store across the street, Granada Wines, to enjoy with our meal—a fantastic option that made the night even more special. We started with the miso soup and the TNT truffle appetizer, which were absolutely delicious. The sushi, with fish flown in from Japan, was as fresh as it gets and tasted incredible. We ordered several rolls, each a work of art, and finished the night with green tea mochi, the perfect sweet ending. Between the impeccable service, the exceptional food, and the thoughtful details, Ki Sushi delivers a truly unforgettable dining experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
We’ve been loyal patrons of Ki Sushi on Smith for the past 15 years, and it continues to impress with every visit. The sushi is consistently fresh—there’s no doubt about it. For those who have been coming here as long as we have, you’ll appreciate how much of the staff has stayed the same. Eddie and Manuel are always there, providing exceptional service with a personal touch. They truly make you feel like family. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, though it can be a bit on the dark side—still, the vibe is perfect for a laid-back, enjoyable meal. The highlight for us, as always, is the Omakase. The pieces are flown in directly from Tokyo, and they’re always incredibly fresh, sweet, and just downright amazing. I can't wait for our next visit. Ki Sushi is a place that never disappoints—highly recommend!
One of the best sushi spots in Brooklyn! The crispy tuna rice is insane, and they serve so much fish with their sushi, definitely priced fair for the amount of food you get. Quality is fresh and delicious. Service was fantastic. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend the Ki speciality roll with the gold flakes
I honestly love Ki Sushi and wish I could come here every week. (I guess I could...maybe I will!) Anyway, the sushi is always fresh and fantastic. The special rolls are all A+ and the sake options are lovely. Tonight, we got the Fantastic Roll, Volcano Roll, and Dynamite roll. The fantastic was most fantastic, followed by the volcano, but all were great. Unfortunately, there was another couple there causing a ruckus (for no good reason whatsoever, mind you) but the staff handled it graciously and with aplomb. Will be coming back soon—thank you!
We stumbled on this place on MLK day when the original restaurant we wanted to visit was closed for lunch and what an unexpected treat. Everything was delicious and fresh. Our server was attentive and kind. We sat at the counter and enjoy watching the care that was placed in preparing the rolls. A great spot to visit for sushi.
Great sushi and ambiance! This cute sushi restaurant was located in Brooklyn. Cozy with elegant decor. The waitress gives u a warm towel to cleanse your hands with. The drink menu consists of wine and sake which paired well with the array of different sushi rolls. I got the plum wine to drink and the dragon roll for my entree. The flavors were DIVINE! I had to get another ! Sat at the bar so the sushi was made right in front of me. Between me and my friend the bill came up to $80 ($40 between the two of us) - which was very affordable for fresh sushi. Would suggest this for a girls night or date night
One of the best sushi in town and such great value for money. Fish & seafood are flown from Tsukiji market. The crunchy tuna crisps were great appetizers. Chicken yakitori was a bit dry but had good glaze. 10-piece Omakase was a steal for $50. The lime & ginger crème brûlée was a great end to a fantastic meal. Sugar glaze could have been crisper. Service was smooth like uni. Will definitely come back!
I ordered the chef supreme at 90usd, this was amazing nothing to compare, the selection of fish, sushi/sashimi and dressing totally surprising amazing. A bit expensive but i do not regret. The service was nice and friendly. I found the gyoza a bit too greasy but nice. The restaurant itself is cosy
I used to go here with my friends a lot, it was a very nice place to go. But last I went the waitress rushed our table when paying. I feel that they should've given us a moment with the bill as we were simply trying to take our time to enjoy my friend's birthday lunch. This shows a lack of attention and has dropped our views on this once liked establishment.
