El Chipotle Arcata Reviews
Love this place ❤ good people and service... food is great and they have tofu and other vegetarian options and alot of fruit choices for yummy margaritas 🍹
If you have not been here recently I urge you to come check it out. The decor is off the hook awesome, each table is a custom work of art. It's a little out of the way so it's almost always less busy, which I enjoy; the wait staff is very attentive. It's also a fine place to bring large groups or children. The food quality varies, certainly not the very best of Humboldt Mexican - though pretty to very good overall. The staff is a little less polished but fix issues with a good attitude. Outdoor patio option and relaxed inviting atmosphere. Overall an under-valued slightly rough gem.
Made a stop here on our road trip. Would definitely have gone back if it wasn’t for us just passing by. We had great customer service and really enjoyed the food. We were very not disappointed with the margarita but the michelada and mojarras were perfect. Also, please keep the two salsas available: spicy and mild 👌 Definitely recommend this place and will keep it saved in our map in case we’re ever passing by again.
The street tacos were really good. Mole enchiladas were good too with the sauce not too sweet...just right. Was just a little chilly inside but understandable as it has a huge banquet room and must be crazy expensive to heat. Good filling food and fairly inexpensive.
This was easily the best Mexican food I have ever had in my life. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was great too. I absolutely recommend this place. I don't leave reviews often... but this place gave me no choice. I typed this out in the parking lot before leaving lol.
After a long drive from the San Jose Area, we stumbled upon this gem for some late night eats. There is good outdoor/patio seating with heat lamps. The menu is diverse and the prices are reasonable especially given the portion sizes. The staff was great and very accommodating as we sat near closing time. The food was good and we had a dog with us, so the seating is also dog friendly. I would recommend checking this spot out.
I’ve eaten here twice now and both times the food was great.
Delicious and authentic Mexican food. I had the huarraches with cactus, and it was very good. They have a number of unusual dishes that you don't often see outside Mexico, and it was a very nice surprise. Portions are large and the service is friendly.
I’ve eaten here a couple of times now and I have to admit, I was a Rita’s fan until I came here!! The margaritas are super good and the food is even better. I love the adobada tostada plate. Their rice is also sooo good. Definitely make sure to order a slice of flan too. Yummy!!!
First time going, staff was super nice, food came out super quickly, I was excited to see shredded beef on the menu. The quesadilla was super good, and the cake was not too sweet and but a little dense, but still really good. Prices arent bad either.
I don’t think I’ve had better food at a Mexican restaurant before! The guacamole was the best! I had the chicken chimichanga and I would definitely go back! Decent prices too.
We love the vibe in here, it’s quaint and off the beaten path, the food is always delicious!! And if you have a celebration- whew! Bubble machines, sparklers and singers! Love it!

Small mishap with the order we were waiting for a little longer than usual but there was a party catering event so I understand and the waitress was very kind and professional about everything, me and my wife love the el father burrito with carne definitely worth the extra dollar, great flavor and seasoned well. Portion sizes are well worth it, had left over after too! Got fried ice cream and horchata and agua de Jamaica. First time trying the fried ice cream definitely will get again. It’s like our 10th time we get the el father burrito every time, there is just something bonding and intimate about eating a giant burrito from the same plate and this place offers that reminds me of the culture im from
The room was cold, but everything else was great! The flan was the best I've ever had. The enchiladas and sides were delicious and I had a spiced hot chocolate that was fairly good. I think it was missing some creaminess. The people were great too. This is a late review from a few months ago.
Great place to have a quick bite or to celebrate large. The staff is amazing and the food is delicious! Reasonable prices and quick service!

I got a burrito bowl (big beautiful bowl btw) and it was delicious. If you can’t eat something just let them know. They done an amazing job at accommodating my needs. Also the space was beautifully decorated too.
Excellent food. Authentic homemade salsas and tortilla shells. Good portions. Service was slow at times, and it took awhile to get my tortilla shells for my fajitas. Plus they only give you 2. Soups and food were flavourful. I would come back again
They have in house made chips with great salsa for starters and a lot of options, which can be a little overwhelming. Dinner plates and combination plates are good deals and you get a lot of food that tastes great. They make their own tortillas as well, big and delicious, especially the flour ones!
Super friendly and even on a busy night these guys have some serious hustle. I do feel prices were a smidge high and the food could use a little more of a kick, but i leave full and happy every time. The other two restaurants these guys are involved with are similarly wonderful
The food was excellent. Unfortunately $,21 for a salad in a plastic bowl in a second-rate shock. It's not worth it. So sad to see , go down hill like this period we had to wait almost five minutes to be waited on at the counter. The cook or server was overwhelmed with to go orders. We stood there almost 5 to ten minutes before he even took our order

I had the chicken enchilada and the red sauce looked and tasted like tomato soup. Our bill for two with tip was $70. Surely they can improve on the food. I’m all about supporting local businesses. The waitstaff was overwhelmed. No mas.
I'm sorry, but I have been here a few times and I have been disappointed each time. The waiter was non attentive and unfriendly. The service help were very friendly. You have to ask for everything or you get the bare minimum. The carnitas rice bowl was not very good at all. Very little carnitas and just an unsightly bowl of stuff. Chips are sparse and not very good. Salsa was just generic like from a rest home. It takes a lot to get a negative review from me. I always try a second or third visit. El Chipotle, I will not be coming back and I am sure you will not miss me. I am not recommending this place for Mexican food in Humboldt county.

The last two times we’ve gotten food from here, there has been hair in our food. And they will up charge you on literally anything. They charged us 7 dollars for the smallest little bowl of guacamole, they also charged us a dollar fifty on a tiny cup of sauce for carne asada fries. It was laughable.
