Amigo Juan Atlanta Reviews
My expectations of Amigo Juan were more than exceeded from my experience. My server, Daniela, was very attentive and made sure our family was always good on refills, cracked a bunch of funny jokes, and made the overall experience phenomenal. The food was delicious and fresh. I recommend getting the shrimp tacos. We will be back!
Best Chile rellenos around! Great service!!!!
Fancy at Amigo Juan's is our number one server. Great Waitress. She knows what are usually lunch specials.
We were passing through town back to DFW after chasing storms all day and were really looking for some great Mexican food. We definitely found it. I heard the chimis were good and they definitely were. Another person ordered one of their bowls and that also did not disappoint. Our last party ordered the nachos and devoured them. We ordered some queso for our chips and they brought out the biggest bowl of queso I have ever seen for chips. Their salsa is also exceptional. Lastly the service was fabulous. Everyone was attentive and friendly. Thank you all!
Great great..super fast..super friendly people with owner on staff to ensure a great experience...dish and drink for 16$ is what i call a great deal for great food... I was served fast..staff asked if all was well 2 to 3 times...food was hot and fish tacos were tasty and full of meat instead of cheap breading others do to make objects seem bigger😅😅😅... Place was full with customers...so i waljed in to eat as a traveler..and boy was i surprised!! Highly recommend for food on a budget that will please most!!
The food was really Northstar great but the peopleand restaurant were nice..
Great food and service! The bathroom was pretty bad.
My personal favorite in Hispanic cuisine thus far locally...had our company holiday party here in our own closed off area and I crave the food they serve here. Wish they were partnered with door dash in a big way!!
It wasn't my idea of mexican beans. More like a texmex place I guess. Service was great. Very attentive.
The food is ok. The wait staff is great but the checkout is not
It started off bad with several flies attacking me as I entered the booth and almost the entire time if I hadn't dispatched them to God himself 2/3 of my stay through. If they even go to "God". My weapon of choice for this matter will be revealed at the end if you stay that long so you too may have a chance if you visit! First, I got my chips and salsa and green salsa...kid said the green salsa was hot...it wasn't. The regular salsa didn't even taste like salsa...I was confused by that, I've never experienced that, I eat a lot of salsa. I got the chicken taquitos with white queso....I def detected the use of a microwave with the dish. I tried the guacamole that was a side with it and it might not have had an avocado in it or any hint of anything that made it taste like guacamole...i tried 3 times in different places on the little scoop and still nothing. I began questioning my decisions in life but continued anyway. I also got myself some shrimp nachos, why, idk...it tasted exactly like what I saw in front of me but with a hint of cardboard. Just so you know...I don't really like that at all...eating cardboard I mean. The sweat tea was great. It seemed like there were a lot of kids eating in there, that was pretty strange but not a problem. The cashier ended up being one of the kids sitting on my side ...no problem there. Overall, should I have tried something else, yes, will I go back, no, most likely not. I had my trusty Winchester hat on...that was my weapon for the fly hord on that fateful day. Good luck to you if you decide to go. Take care now.
I’ve been eating here years and the customer service has been down right awful the last 3 times I’ve been. Last night we waited forever for drinks, had to ask for salsa, never offered a refill, etc.
The bathroom lights are out. The doors don't lock. The toilet paper. They asked my boyfriend who's in a wheelchair if we wanted a booth.....there is a table that is part booth and chair we could have set at so he could just pull the chair out of the way but it's piled full of dishes that are just waiting to be picked up. Apparently having a bar is more important now.
This place needs to be torn apart and remodeled. Just walking in here looks disgusting. Upgrading the chair and booths that were already falling apart isn’t going to cut it. The ceiling is also a nasty sights as well. There’s hardly any nice establishments in Atlanta itself so go figure after all these years this place still hasn’t kept up with the times as well. All the HS workers need to understand a better job of cleaning as well.
I ordered the Botana platter, to go, asking if it's enough for 2 people to share as a meal, or if I should order 2 or maybe, something else to go along with it? It sounds gigantic on the menu, and at a fair price. The person who took my order assured me that it was plenty of food for 2 people. Ha! Dear Amigos: 3, half-sized portions of each item is NOT enough for 2 people to enjoy as a meal and is overpriced. The taquitos/flautas were almost 3" long and the 3 chicken wings (2 tiny drumsticks & 1 wing) were over-microwaved, much akin to shoe leather and not edible. The nachos consisted of 5 chips with shredded cheese melted on them. Guacamole is bland. Salsa was watered down and the only plentiful thing, a bag o' plain, unsalted chips were stale. I've had better food at a gas station. They might have something good on the menu, but the Botana Platter isn't it, and I won't be back to try anything else.
Food had no flavor! Fajitas were very tough! Service was horrible as far as our waitress . Walked up to table and says WHAT YALL WANT and threw our straws on table when she brought our drinks...Took forever to refill drinks..won't be back..second time here and food needs lots of work.
The atmosphere was great. Nicely decorated. The menus were disgusting to the point I didn't want to touch them. Server was friendly but the young man delivering chips and salsa needs some hospitality training. He seemed to just toss the chips and salsa bowls down and his verbal interaction was very rude. I highly DO NOT recommend this establishment! We should've left after tasting the chips and salsa. The young man asked if we wanted the green salsa and we tried it. Both red and green salsas were bland. My husband stated if they had beer it would make the food taste better, I said half a bottle of tequila wouldn't make my taste buds like the food. Needless to say we didn't order beyond the appetizer. Botana platter appetizer (pictured) was over cooked and cold. Guacamole was turning brown and the flavor was bland. Go to a bad taco bell and you'll get better food.
The most awful dining out experience!!! The salsa tasted like tomato paste with an onion and jalapeno juice and the fajita quesadilla tasted like old steak the beef enchiladas were no better. You would think that lunch would have been fresh. I will never eat there again nor recommend it.
