I like this place and will definitely be returning. It has a super chill atmosphere, I like the music they play, and they’ve got a pretty varied menu. Staff was friendly and laidback. Great selection of teas, some I’ve never even heard of. Real good coffee too. It’s just a very relaxed place to hang out and a nice escape when the hustle and bustle of downtown becomes a bit overwhelming. Overall, 10/10.

We visited Austin for the weekend and went to this spot on a Friday night. We lucked up and found good parking, but the lot is very small. You would have to park and walk If the lot is full much like most spots in this area. The atmosphere was very cozy, and staff was attentive and helpful. The hookah was very flavorful and they offered refills. They are also very reasonable - the cheapest hookah I've had with the best quality.

A regular hangout spot, and one of the best hookah places in Austin. There aren't many hookah options in Austin as it is, and even fewer places with a decent hookah and a good vibe. But this place is one of the best in Austin. Located in the heart of the university area, it has a great vibe. The hookah is delicious. The staff is good and this place has great customer service. We usually get taken care of by Rainy, who is amazing and makes sure we have good coals or changes the flavor if we try something new and don't like it. The hookah costs $22.01 (including tax) and comes with a free bottle of water. They don't have any food on the menu, but you can bring food from outside and eat it there. There are many food trucks around, Alpetra Plus being one of my favorites (which is a walking distance away), and we bring food and eat here all the time while getting our smoke on. Overall, it's a great place and would definitely recommend for unwinding and chilling at after a long day.

Love it. Flavor in order was blue mist and it was smooth. Coal is perfectly placed. Didn’t order food this time but I love the Shisha . Staff is professional

If you like hookah in an environment where you can hear yourself think this is your place. If you like real shisha that hits this is your spot.

I've been going here for years. The staff is always friendly and work hard to get to know what you like. They also respect your time and try to get hookahs out as soon as possible, even when slammed. They've made me a loyalist because of their consistent high-level of service.

10/10! We visited from NM and absolutely loved it here. Such a cozy atmosphere

There's something incredibly inviting about a calm environment where you can unwind and enjoy great company. Even if the tea and coffee aren't top-notch, the excellent service will surely make up for it, allowing you to focus on the relaxing ambiance and the flavorful hookah. Arab Cowboy is the perfect spot to kick back, have a good conversation, and simply enjoy the moment!

This place is meant for socializing or kicking back and studying, so the atmosphere is what you make it. Comfortable seating and attentive coal service. Great prices too!

I cannot understand why they do not have at least a 4.8/5. They pack their hookah perfectly (feel like I’m back in my home country) and their hoses pull so well. They have top tier customer service. It’s like they know the exact second a coal is about to run out. Friendly atmosphere as well. They allow you to bring your own food and drinks.

As an ex-hookah lounge employee and Avid hookah smoker myself, this place was honestly perfect in the weirdest ways. Every time I went with my friend, if was nice and quiet. It means we could either play our own music while sitting outside or actually talk and not have to scream over super loud music. It is BYOB which is amazing as most other places despise that policy as it loses them money, bring your own alcohol and save a ton of money. The hookah is cheap but also set up very well and tastes great, many options and they arrive at your table pretty fast too. A little bit of cleaning could be done on the outside seating/area but other than that it's quite a quiet and comfortable place to socialise. I recommend going around 10-11PM and staying 1-2 hours.

I’ve been a regular here for a few years, and I must say that this hookah lounge is the best in Austin. The atmosphere is great (really feels like a proper lounge), the service is great, and the employees here all make some great bowls. Will continue to be a loyal customer here for the foreseeable future, and this 5-star review is long overdue, but well deserved.

I go here all the time to chill. They let you bring whatever you want, food and beverage. Just be respectful and keep your trash picked up. It's not the kind of place to hound you for that, so show some respect. Great establishment. Free wifi. Comfy couches, what's not to love?

The flavors were okay. It was either the mix or the flavors themselves. Good location to get hookah in Austin though.

Worst experience ever. Would not recommend. Stay away from this place - ridiculous prices, unreasonable service. Would give zero stars if I could.

Very bad service. The staff used to treat customers better last year but now they're terrible. They are very dry. They replaced my coals every 15 minutes while my coals were still fresh. Then when I actually needed some more and my tobacco had plenty of life in it, the lady rudely responded and said "I already gave you your last set of coals an hour ago." I was minding my own business the entire time and was working on my laptop for two hours. There was no disclosure that there would be a "last set" anyway. She kept avoiding me as if I were the coronavirus. I've been to many other hookah bars in the Austin area and they are hospitable. I gave Arab Cowboy 5 stars a year ago and was a repeat customer. This is my last time here. NEVER AGAIN!!

T

I got a boot on my truck for parking in there open parking lot. Walked in and asked for help and they were rude saying they didn’t know what to do. I wouldn’t recommend them for anything.
