Klerjē Coffee Austin Reviews
TL;DR: One of my favorite coffee shops that I have been to! I will definitely be back. Coffee: I am not sure if this is a seasonal drink, but I ordered the Chinese coffee with tonic and orange (under the New Year, New Sips section). The orange and cinnamon flavor are quite strong, which I really enjoyed. I got to watch them torch a cinnamon stick and then put it into my drink which was so cool. Service: The baristas here seem so friendly! I was given a very thorough explanation of the drink that I was ordering, and I felt good about the decision I made. Everyone in the coffee shop seemed very cheery :) Ambiance: + I absolutely love the vibe here. Warm light streams in through the windows. The dark green walls with accents of red from the curtains feels cozy. It is a very laid back spot to sip on a coffee, chat with some friends, or lock in to work. + This is also a very clean restroom and probably one of the largest ones I have ever seen in a restaurant or coffee shop before? There is just a single room, but it is very spacious and comfortable if you need to use the can. + There is also free WiFi and plenty of other nice spots (coffee, food, shops) along this street!
Fantastic specialty coffee shop in East Austin. They carry Black & White and Makeworth and Metric. Their pourovers are very nice, I am guessing it's a 3-pour based on the fruit balance. The space is also very friendly to work and to converse. For the mornings, it's definitely an array of laptops on the weekdays but I can see on the weekends or on Fridays this being a place to catch up about the week's goings. The owners are also very knowledgeable about coffee and the coffee world so if you need help follow them. Also congratulations on the marriage!
Genuinely one of the coolest coffee shops in Austin! They have fantastic coffee. The atmosphere is so unique. The staff are so excited about coffee and they offer so many cool events if you’re really passionate about coffee and learning about it (my husband is). One of our favorite spots on the east side when we’re over here :)
I came here three days in a row when I was visiting from out of town! Delicious lattes (recommend the seasonal fall option- hand grated nutmeg on top that smells amazing and adds a great personal touch you can’t always find!), great atmosphere, and incredibly warm staff. A perfect way to start the day!
Just discovered this gem. We love their imported coffee bean choices. The options on our visit included Onyx, Perc (apricot/honeysuckle) and previously Ilse. Ilse and Onyx were on the list for top 100 roasters in the world! The pour over taste was excellent and they took care in all the steps. The flavors really came through. Warm, inviting and wonderful staff. Cool decor. The daily handmade scone is also one of the best we've ever had! Fresh, crumbly, and fluffy with blueberries. Enjoyed everything about this coffee spot and will make this a regular spot to grab our morning buzz ☕️
The orange latte is delicious 😋🍊highly recommend their different flavors of latte. Heard their matcha is really good as well! Though the music tends to be loud and not good for take meetings or quiet studying.
Wowww such an amazing coffee spot!! Love their bean selections like Onyx, Perc, and I saw some Ilse beans in a previous photo on Google. EXCELLENT pour overs and delicious nitro cold brew!
100% recommended. Great coffee, all syrups are house made. Lavender honey iced latte is a must try. Music was distracting. guess I was expecting more smooth jazz or slow music. The baristas are amazing with sweet smiles and offer you a chilled glass of water. A little gesture but makes a lot of difference. All in all beautiful and clean place. I would choose this place any day.
This is my favorite coffee shop I’ve been too out of my home town. Great, moody atmosphere, loved the theme & history behind the name and vibe. Coffee was terrific and the staff were kind and hospitable. I love that they are very dog friendly and there was plenty of work space. I worked for a few hours on my laptop and never felt like I was in the way.
Nitro cold brew is fantastic and staff are beyond friendly. Cozy place to get some work done. I would pay extra if they stayed open later than 4pm.
My favorite coffee shop. Pronounced “kler-gee.” - warm and cozy - exceptionally styled - irreverent theme - super friendly, down to earth staff who will remember your name if you frequent it - cool glassware - great coffee drinks - ceremonial matcha drinks
Popped in for an espresso and was really impressed with their offerings. Tried an El Salvador natural process from Figure 8 Coffee Roasters that was really delightful. They give you the whole proper set up if you get it for here & Bethany who was behind the bar even checked in to ensure the coffee was holding up well since it was a few hours since it was dialed in-- the true sign of a coffee shop & barista that really knows what they're doing. Also loved the quirky and very on-point sac-religious theme of it all as well (and definitely did my best to not summon any demons while using the bathroom).

Best iced cappuccino I’ve ever had! The espresso was SOO smooth and they were able to make COLD FOAM … from coconut milk! I drank half so pics don’t even show all the foam. My new spot!

I came to Klerje early Sunday morning and had the best experience. The staff were extremely friendly and gave me recommendations to try (coffee and pastries). I got the lavender honey latte and blueberry scone, both really tasty. The ambience was very cool and moody (in a good way). They were very friendly with my dog as well. I would definitely come back!
Having been to most of the top coffee shops on the East Side in Austin, Klerje has quickly become a favorite after going a few times. The owners are super friendly and work at the shop, and I believe one of their moms makes the delicious scones they sell there. The space inside is intimate and cozy but still functional - great for conversing with a friend or working solo. Very excited to have discovered Klerje!
Klerje is easily my favorite coffee spot in Austin! Lia and Erin are always so welcoming and genuinely fun to chat with. I usually go for a cortado, and their espresso is consistently excellent. If you’re into matcha, the iced matcha latte is a must-try. The music is consistently excellent as well. Such a great neighborhood coffee shop!
Great ambiance, coffee is very flavorful, and they even use house made syrups for their drinks. On top of coffee that is bomb, the people who work there are extremely thoughtful and hospitable. They always offer water, strike up a conversation, and notice the small details. For example, I was sitting at a slightly dirty table and they wiped it down without me asking. Things like that are what make this place extra special!
Here’s a polished version you can post on Google: I recently visited Klerje Coffee and it was such a great experience overall! They have one of my favorite matchas in Austin — perfectly balanced, smooth, and not overly sweet. I’ll definitely be coming back for that alone. The decoration and overall aesthetic of the space are absolutely beautiful. It’s thoughtfully designed and feels warm and inviting. The staff was also extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. The only downside for me was that the music was super loud. If you need a quiet place to work or take calls, this might not be the best spot. But if you’re just going to hang out, enjoy a drink, and soak in the vibe, it’s a great choice.
I was in Austin for a work conference from Rhode Island and couldn’t leave without stopping by Klerje. What a great ambiance, phenomenal service, and top-flight espresso as well as matcha latte. The interior decor added to the experience as well. The baristas were both extraordinarily friendly, kind, genuine, and efficient. This was a highlight of my whole trip. The espresso was fragrant and among the best that I have ever had. The matcha latte was smooth and flavorful. A wonderful establishment that I hope many can experience at least once in their lifetime! Kudos to the baristas and Klerje ownership team 👍👊

I live in the neighborhood and if you need any proof of this review, I am in this coffee shop between one and three times a day. They’re gonna open to seven days a week, however, currently on Mondays they are currently closed. This allows/forces me to go and get coffee and other places in the neighborhood. So every Monday, I am reminded that not only do. I think this is the best coffee in the neighborhood, but I cannot stress how this is also the friendliest staff and owners, and I’m pretty sure the best bang for your buck.

The atmosphere/ambiance is really good and well curated theme including the washroom. Coffee is also great, I added vanilla pump since mocha wasn’t too sweet. Also my coffee wasn’t hot enough (I’m someone who likes my coffee super hot and sweet) Limited bakery options but we tried the banana muffin and it was good

If you find yourself in the East Side of Austin, do yourself a favor and stop by this charming coffee shop! The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. I had the pleasure of trying their specialty Iced Lavender Honey Latte Ice, it was absolutely delightful! The combination of floral lavender and sweet honey created a unique flavor that was both refreshing and comforting. I highly recommend it, especially on a warm day. To accompany my latte, I indulged in their blueberry scone, which was bursting with fresh blueberries and had a wonderfully crumbly texture. It paired perfectly with my drink. I also couldn't resist trying their banana nut muffins—let me tell you, they are a must-try! Moist, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness, they quickly became my favorite treat. The service here is friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The staff genuinely care about their customers and are happy to recommend their favorites. If you're visiting Austin's East Side, this coffee shop is a gem you don't want to miss. With its specialty drinks, delicious baked goods, and a lovely atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to enjoy a moment of bliss. Highly recommend!
Nice atmosphere and seems to be a popular spot, but the coffee wasn’t for me. It tasted very light and not as rich as I prefer. I can see why others enjoy it, just not my style of brew.

The coffee is tasty. It was the service and priority. I was next in line and waited patiently the lady in the front told me “I be right there with you “ no problem! I understand ,it looked pretty packed and she was working on another drink. A man behind me came in and the lady who told me she be right with me was talking to the man asking “hey so and so are we doing your usual? “ “yeah thank you “ . I was thinking to myself that’s amazing how they have regulars; maybe I become one then. Well the drink the lady was working on was this regular and proceeded to work on it and he basically cut in front of me and the lady allowed it. I’m dumbfounded, I felt like an outsider because hello?? I was in next of line but when a regular comes in you let them cut to those customers who were already waiting?? No thanks. A HUGE PASS this just ruined my day. I hope next time they go by ORDER and not cherry pick. I was on lunch as well for my work. Never coming back.
