Which Wich? Austin Reviews
Great sandwiches free M&M's for the kids high chairs and great staff there's this guy works there he makes the best grinder sandwich where he soaks the mushrooms in oil and rooms them through the oven on the side and they come out sauteed like and so juicy and flavorful
I just had a salad bowl for the first time - Wow! the tastes are still tingling in my mouth. I got an Italian bowl with pesto, cranberries, peppers, crunchy onions, olives, and pretty much anything else they throw on it for free. It was TREMENDOUS! I'll be back (and not in a Terminator way in where I kill everyone with no remorse; I'll be back to get another Whichwich bowl)
Which Wich is awesome. Their spinach wraps are delicious and so, so fresh. They have many other choices so stop by and visit them. You won't be disappointed.
I love Which Wich. I've never had a bad sandwich here (and if you do--it's because YOU chose weird toppings!) Brown bag ordering is fun too.
My favorite sandwich chain. My go to place when I want good quality sandwich. The best thing I like about it is you make your own sandwich.
Came to Austin for a conference and fell in love with this Which Wich. The bread is toasted and still soft to chew. The ingredients for the turkey are the basics which bring out the flavors in the turkey. The people running it were so nice. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Will come back and do agian when we are in town.
Awesome sandwich spot Very good 👍

Awesome sandwich spot Very good 👍
Team was great. Food was awesome.
Best spot in Austin 3rd street and Guadalupe I highly recommend awesome Lil spot and awesome customers service
Adrian at the front desk made a slight error on my order, BUT caught it before I was given the food and had the back remake it the correct way instead of just scraping the incorrect ingredients off the top. Never had someone actually fix the issue the right way and take accountability. Made my day and the food was great. Would recommend and Adrian needs a raise tbh.
This is my absolute favorite sandwich place. No other could top it. I went there today and many times in the past. They offer fresh produce and amazing warm cookies along with nice shakes. Their sandwiches are nicely toasted and the vegetables are very fresh. It's so delicious. I can't even explain how good it is. Even a simple ham and cheese is to die for. Would recommend. 6/5 stars ☆

Not to much to write home about, but fast and great tasting. I love the thank you turkey 🦃. It was busy but the staff were very fast
This was the first Which Wich I ever visited as a welcome alternative to Subway. It's a little more expensive but the sandwich variations are significantly more exciting. I made the amateur first-timer's mistake of ordering a sandwich with all of the toppings - unlike Subway, this results in a huge pile of veggies and a bizarre mixture of mustards and sauces crammed into a baguette. It was difficult to eat but now I realize how they build the sandwiches, every one I've had since has been great. Try the hummus sandwich for something healthy and tasty.
When I park at City Hall Plaza, I often want a quick bite on my way to my destination. Good, filling sandwiches at a reasonable price, and, most important, quick service. The brownies are good, and they bake the cookies after you order them, so they come out hot.
I am a big sandwich eating guy. And wich wich is one of my favorites. I was actually very sad that they closed down the 3rd street location. But they are about to open back up next door from their old location. I can't wait. ( update on which which! ) They have the inside of the place looking like they are about to open soon! I'll find out today the exact date. Stay tuned.
I'm not a huge fan of the branding or the yellow design and awkward logo. It looks like an inside joke that is lost on everyone else except for the founders. Whatever the case may be with regard to the marketing, the food is good and the service better. Slide me a Hula bowl on spinach for under $7 and I'm a happy lunch-time worker.
Good sandwich in a high capacity enviroment. Its done a good job keeping up with the changes in the area including real estate increases. Sub shops are slowly becoming scarce in the downtown area.
After coming in with a complaint from my previous visit, the manager (Adrian, I believe) went out of his way to right the wrong and was very helpful. I probably would've never gone back after corporate ignored me even though they originally promised to mail me a refund, buy I appreciate Adrian and his help. Give that man a raise!
Love their sandwiches! French dip is my favorite! Their hummus is great too so a veggie can also get a killer sandwich here!
Good sandwiches, and their ordering system (grab a brown bag and mark your choices) makes a lot of sense during the lunch rush!
A bit small on the inside. Sandwiches were good. Unfortunately they didn't call out names when the order was ready, best part of the game....

A pretty good sandwich shop. You can have your choice of 8 or so regular subs, a few specialty subs, or create your own. They have enough add on options for you to be creative, and they're pretty quick. The only downside is that these sounds aren't anything special. I think I'd rather have Subway at times especially since these are more expensive than subway sandwiches.
Stuff is good, I tried the lettuce wrap, and it pretty much cooled me down on a hot summer Austin day. It was a bit crowded though at noon, and I had to wait for half an hour to get my order. So if you are looking for a quick stop, this probably is not the place.
They have a great innovative way for ordering sandwiches which easily allows for dozens of different sandwich options without things becoming overly complicated. They also have more size options that other sub shops do so you can have anything from a small lunch to a behemoth sized sandwich. They sadly got rid of some of my favorite sandwiches in the last few months; hopefully they will make a return.

I actually enjoy Which Which....the veggie sandwich is loaded with goodies and I love the bag concept that you use when you get in. Overall not a bad deal for a sandwich.
Food was good..but price was a dollar higher than the quality. And the high level degree of judgment from the employees made me feel I must tip..which I did..but then was not impressed. But still, definitely a good sandwich
I ate here today with a friend and I had the shrimp po boy and it was pretty good. I got the 10.5 inch which and got free chips and drink with a google offer deal. I have had the turkey one also which was good. There aren't a lot of variety of drinks, but guess that's ok.
Expensive sandwiches but being downtown the marketing strategy works. Nothing really exciting about these subs. I still prefer Subway with the different bread options. Wicked Wednesday is when I try to go for the $5 wicked sub.
I walked into Which Wich, starving and optimistic, ready to devour a meaty masterpiece. I vaguely remember ordering some kind of chicken or turkey sandwich — keyword: vaguely. Because what I received was… an Arugula Parade in full marching formation. This sandwich wasn’t made by a chef. It was assembled by a rogue salad that escaped a Whole Foods. We’re talking 80% arugula, 15% bread, 4% tomatoes, and 1% “mystery poultry.” I think it was turkey? Or chicken? Honestly, it could’ve been tofu in cosplay — there was so little of it, the arugula union probably voted to evict it. Oh, and shoutout to the two tomato slices for trying their best. Taste-wise? Honestly not bad, just… aggressively leafy. Like, if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to kiss a lawnmower post mow, this might be your moment. But hey — the staff was awesome, the order was quick, and the place had a chill spot to sit and reflect on my accidental dive into leafy chaos. I’m not giving up on you, Which Wich. I’ll be back, next time ordering something less… photosynthetic. Until then, arugula and I need a little space.

Sandwiches have been very meaty with few other flavors. If giant piles of sliced beef is your idea of a cheese steak...I think you missed the point. If the cheese and peppers and onions don't come through, you've done the eater no flavor or nutritional favors.
Stopped by for a quick meal, as we had an event to attend nearby. We were the only customers in the store. In this restaurant you are asked to check off what you want on a paper bag. Love the concept. The lady at the counter wasn't fluent in English. Keep in mind that this location is not only a chain but in the heart of downtown Austin. The counter worker failed to charge me for my drink which had been clearly marked on my paper bag. No big deal, I understand that, oversights are made. However the other worker came over and said he'd have to charge my card again for the drink. From a business standpoint I could understand. Even more so had it been a communication issue where the counter worker couldn't understand me. But this is not the case at this Which Wich. There was no communication. Only the handing of an empty bag with check marks in appropriate spots. From a customer service standpoint it was a bad decision. They could have had a repeat customer for their cost on a fountain soda. Sorry Which Wich. Not impressed. To their credit the sandwiches themselves were decent. Why lose a customer over your own error for what costs your business pennies on the dollar? I asked to speak to the manager and the counter worker was reluctant to give the name. Rather he just argued his stance on charging me for the soda. Really? Not returning. 2nd star for the quality of the sandwich.
It’s fine but the change from the paper bag ordering to the new counter service has made which wich just another sandwich shop. The bread isn’t great and the veggies often are kind of old tasting. There is only one vegetarian option and it’s meh. I wouldn’t recommend going because it is just another over priced sandwich shop.
I have only been here a few times and only once have I gotten a bomb sando. Yesterday, my caprese sandwich was made incorrectly and they made it right and it was beautiful and delicious. I went back today to (hopefully) have that same experience and the 9 dollar sandwich was poorly put together with cheese so light that I mistakenly thought there was none... So I went back and was shown that there was cheese on the sandwich... I wish I'd have taken a photo... Cheese should be throughout a mostly cheese sandwich... But whatever... It's the inconsistency for me. Desperation will be the only reason I stop here in the future.
Decent sandwiches but the creepy ordering system gets or sends the wrong orders back the kitchen a lot. The person behind the screen doesn’t doesn’t seem to key in the information correctly. Especially if you want to make a substitution. My last 3 orders have been made incorrectly. They also need a “build your own” sandwich vs the current “pick a sandwich and make trade offs” approach. This is where things go wrong a lot. Friendly, responsive staff though.

“New computer way of ordering “ was broken and they didn’t have anyone there who spoke English take a order. No biggie, tried for 5 minutes to make the order but he couldn’t figure out how to change the cheese…..Sorry man….
Was with my fiancé who delivers for uber. They didn’t give her the whole order and when we went back in to tell them the lady at the counter who didn’t even act like she understood english argued and said it wasn’t her fault and that my fiancé should be more careful when picking up. She wouldn’t even put the order in a bag she said that the bags are hanging on the outside of the counter if you wanna one. Absolutely horrible service and the worst which wich I’ve ever been in. No customer service and very rude. Order here (Downtown Austin 3rd street location) at your own risk!
I ordered a sandwich through Door Dash and received with a condiment it shouldn’t have had. We tried calling for 10 minutes and they never answered their phone. It’s not hard to follow instructions for a sandwich, especially one that I had to wait an hour for to be delivered.
Smells really weird in there so I had to back out. Don’t know guys
On 10/09/2019 at around 4:23 PM, I went in and ordered me a sandwich at the west 3rd street location here in Austin. After placing my order. I observed an employee putting ketchup into individual containers, after every other container he filled he would lick the ketchup off his fingers and hands (he was wearing prep gloves). He repeated this several times, and when my sandwich was completed and ready to wrap he proceeded to reach for my sandwich at which time I told him to change gloves because I say you licking your fingers. He removed the gloves and he said something to another employee and the other employee wrapped my sandwich. I will not be returning to this location again.
This Which Wich used to be a lot nicer. Now it's pretty filthy, sticky floors, dirty bathrooms. My sandwich was good but this place needs some work. Also, employees eating chips over the deli prep counter and talking on their cell phone...seriously?? Disappointed.
Witnessed the 4 girls in the back pointing at us and talking negatively about us... and I smiled to change their moods, I got a dirty look and then they turned back around to talk in a circle and text on their phones that were plugged in right next to food prep station. I have never been more disappointed in an employee's attitude in my life. Will not be coming back.
My food arrived cold and was missing the chips. I called the location from which I ordered the food and asked for a refund for the chips. I was told to come and pick it up even thought I had paid for it to be delivered. When I told this to the individual she mumbled something about them having been busy and that is why they forgot to include the chips. I requested a refund of the chips and she seem to not understand. So I called back to double check that a refund was in order, but never received. I wold like to request a full refund of my entire order due to hassle and total lack of customer service that I experience.
12/10/19 7pm. Ordered a cheeseburger-which and added special instructions to NOT add pickles or tomatoes or which sauce. It even has the special instructions on the freaking receipt. How can that be messed up???? Horrible. Never ordering from the chain again.
THESE GUYS DON'T WEAR GLOVES!!! When we asked the man to put gloves on while making our food, he said "this isn't yours, it's his (customer sitting in corner)"... umm eww? Then he got angry with us and complained about the ingredients we checked off for our sub. We asked for his managers name and they wouldn't tell us. Then he wanted our name -- what for, who knows! Let me also add begore all this. we asked for a cup for water and every cup was dirty! We showed the dirt on them and he just put them all back for the next customer. UNPROFESSIONAL, DIRTY PLACE!
Worst food ever, ordered a hamburger sandwich, the bacon was cold and the chees not melted, and it smells pretty bad too. O wont recommend it to any one and of corse i won't eat there any more
Disappointed 😞 First and Last time that I will ever have a sandwich from here. I had a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich that was made with Sliced Chicken, Drizzled with Buffalo Sauce, Lettuce and Tomato, none of the ingredients looked fresh. This sandwich and many other sandwiches were purchased for a district employee event. Other employees that I sat with complained that the veggies were not fresh on their sandwich either.
The dirtiest, least friendly Which Wich in the city (perhaps the world). Corporate needs to come in here and do some re-training. This place is disgusting. And the employees didn’t even acknowledge my presence as I walked in. Felt very unwelcome and very concerned about the sanitation of their sandwich making station based on the cleanliness of the rest of the space. Honestly I would skip this place. I love Which Wich but this particular location is gross.

Used to love the Which Wich downtown, but the new one is horrible. They’ve overcomplicated the ordering process with a video screen which is super awkward rather than the bags where you could write your own order (one of the main reasons I liked Which wich over other sandwich shops). Plus they removed a lot of options from the menu and there’s a really odd smell inside that will give you a headache within minutes, seems like it’s chemicals or paints maybe from the construction and renovation, but I would definitely recommend going somewhere else for lunch.
I felt I had to write a review. This was probably the worst sandwich I ever had in my life, and wanted this to be good because it's close to where I live. Bread was so soggy I couldn't pick it up, it was really gross, I tried a bite but threw it away because I felt like it'd make me sick if I ate it. My motivation in writing this is not trash this place, but for them to improve. It takes no effort to not make a gross sandwich, a child can make a better sandwich.
Dirtiest location. Also, they’re extremely rude for pick-up orders. They will clear out their line before they even try to help you. Stay way from this location.
