Shaurma Factory Avenue J Reviews
My fav shawarma spot in the city. Plus, the portion is huge - no way you’re finishing it in one go.
Delicious, huge portions, clean and fast. Very nice service. Chicken shaurma $13 perfect size for 2.
Great food. No doubt. Service was questionable until I spoke my limited Russian and suddenly they were a lot happier to help my wife and I. I'd still go back, the food is just that good.

Delicious mix shauna! Juicy and fresh. My to-go place for a quick lunch. And everyone is so friendly ☺️.
Lightning fast service. But can we talk about the food !! So good it had me speechless as I happily indulged. The portions are generous. Perfection.
My favorite shaurma place in Brooklyn! They make it so deliciously and the service is impeccable, especially their worker Tamara. She is always behind the counter with a big, bright smile and positive energy. 10/10, I would 100% recommend coming here.

Not the shawarma you’d expect from home, but it gets the job done I ordered the Mix Chicken & Pork Shawarma – lavash, pork, chicken, tomato, onion, lettuce, pepper, and their signature sauce. It cost about $13 total with tax. They only have one standard size, no small or large options. Preparation was quick. The lavash was soft at first, but in the parts where it was grilled, it had a better texture. The meat was somewhere in the middle – not bad, not great. I’ve already tried similar shawarma in another place run by a Georgian kitchen, and the sauce here had that same familiar taste. I couldn’t exactly identify the flavor – not sweet, not garlicky, not sour – but it reminded me of something I’ve had before in that regional style. Ingredient balance was good. The portion looked like a standard medium shawarma. It was filling, but by the end it started to fall apart, which made it messy to eat. There’s seating available inside, and they offered a choice between spicy or not spicy. That was a nice touch. Overall, I’d rate it 3.5 out of 5. The place is decent, and the food is edible and filling. But if you’re looking for that crispy, bold Ukrainian-style shawarma – this is not the place. Don’t expect the same flavor you’re used to from back home.

A modest cafe with a modest interior. But this did not stop us from while away the time here with a friend before an apointment . We wanted to drink coffee, but there was none, but fortunately there was tea, we took a cake each, they were not bad, only a bit dry, I would have liked more cream. In general, the cafe is not for gatherings, it is better to take the order and eat it at home
The restaurant is located in the Homecrest/Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn. The prepare cuisine from the country of Georgia. Various shawarma, desserts and drinks are available.
Food is great! The Shaurma is amazing. Main issue is the wait. They take forever! I mean forever. If you are on a lunch break, be prepared to take it home as you can’t eat it on time. Normal wait time if around 15 to 20 minutes. Also don’t bother calling ahead. The waitress will take the order and forget to put it in ( 4 times already).

Pass this place all the time. Figured I'd give it a try. Ordered the chicken shwarma sandwich(comes in a sort of wrap which was decent) and a kachapurri. Never had kachapurri before so based on how it tasted I'd rate it a 6/10. very pizza-like. The chickn shwarma left a little to be desired but that could be because I like my schwarma a little dry. Eiither way, not a terrible experience. Not my cup of tea but I'm not Georgian. $27 for everything(including a can of coke).
One of the worst shawarma’s I’ve had. Soaked in mayo, meat had a weird taste. Very disappointing experience.

My friends tagged this place on Instagram, and I wanted to try it too. When we received the shawarma order, it was huge, and I was very hungry. I thought, "Now I'll enjoy a tasty shawarma ." Unfortunately, the shawarma wasn't delicious. I'm not usually picky about food, but there was so much mayonnaise that it became unpleasant. The usually shawarma itself is very caloric, on top of that, there was so much mayonnaise.I thought it was just a lot of mayo at the beginning, but the entire shawarma was soaked in it. The chicken was very salty. Maybe I was just unlucky. Now imagine a large amount of salty meat, lots of mayonnaise, and a few vegetables. It lacked freshness and some additional sauce other than mayonnaise.

Avoid this place at all cost. Purchased Frozen Khinkhali, they were old and fell apart in water. Before purchasing I asked how long they were frozen they told me fresh everyday. Dishonest business, when calling to ask about the issues the person replied she doesn't know.
I’ve been ordering from them for a few years, but the place has gone downhill drastically. Today, the chicken shaurma was absolute trash. The chicken was dry, with some pieces extremely overcooked and dried out. Half of the shaurma was soaked in sauce, while the other half had none at all.
Wanna feel unwelcomed- go ahead 25 minutes waiting for a wrap it’s insane. the boss is preferably goes to light a cig instead of making ur order. Just bad
I came after 1 PM, and the girl who worked today was extremely rude. Despite usually having a good experience here, when I asked for extra chicken and offered to pay, her response was a straight-up "No!" followed by "Not going to do it!" Usually, I get extra chicken and always pay for it. This is not the way to treat customers, especially regular ones. I will not come back. Thank God there are other places who treat customers good.
The shawarma might be decent, but the hygiene here is downright disturbing. The person making the food cleaned the floor, didn’t change gloves, and then went right back to preparing meals. Who knows what else they’ve touched before starting on your order? Honestly, it’s disgusting and pretty unsettling to watch. I’ll never eat here again—once was enough. If you care about cleanliness, steer clear!
