Started by making me wait 10minutes before anyone came to the register. Then had me waiting 25minutes later on my 2 chicken sandwiches as 4 different people got their order taken and served their food as I had to wait

It was convenient to stop at this location to get my mom chicken. Another customer and I waited 35 minutes plus on chicken just to still get the orders wrong. Which was done to SEVERAL orders as I sat and watched. This had to be the most rudest MANAGER I have ran across. She talked crazy to several customers, including myself. Did not try to accommodate for anything even though they were at fault. She went as far as to reaching under my keys for the receipt to give me a refund when I just asked for more than 1 sweet heat sauce to accommodate for not having the spicy chicken that I asked for after waiting such a long time. 1st of all, why are you just dropping dark meat when you don't have any meat on the racks. Any who, it took a lot for me not to get out character. This could have been very ugly and quick. She then had the audacity to day she was going to call the police because I wouldn't leave without my receipt. Threatening me with trust passing as if I would want to go back there for anything. Thank God for growth. Cause baby, it hurt like hell to act civillized...

Visited the location January 29 2026 @ 6 45 pm. Business was slow 3 people eating inside, drive thru had maybe 3 cars. On line maybe 3 orders. Waited behind a family of 5 for about 5 minutes. The entire staggered all of us completely. We all left and went to the competition. Is this a common practice to ignore the customer? If it is I will be back!

This location is absolutely trash. Received spoiled lemonade and the chicken didn’t taste great at all. Wasted $38. This is not the 1st bad experience as well.

This is the worst establishment I've ever been too! They are never busy but will have you waiting 5-10mins to take your order at the drive thru. The staff is rude and refused to take my order because I asked why do people have to wait every time you try to place an order! The restaurant will literally have no customers and it is never busy but they lock the lobby doors and take their precious time servicing you! I will never go back here again! Today was my last time!

Got there at 7 and they had the lobby locked with no reason as to why posted on the door. Employees just walking around inside. One employee was taking a nap. And nobody would help us. The ones that did look at us just gave us a dirty look and then looked away without any care.

This is the absolute worst Popeyes in Waco. Their system never works. Today was mobile orders only so I was like that’s okay I’ll just order online. Waited for about 10 minutes for my food. I got a 3 piece tender meal. The chicken was so hard I couldn’t even eat it. I thought since the remodel things would be better but I guess they just slapped some new paint on it and carried on with the same stuff as before. I’ll go to the one in Baylor from now on idk if it’s further. Save yourself some time and money and don’t eat here.

This place recently reopened and still have issues with their system. Most of the time, customers can only pay with cash. Today, the system is down and only mobile order (uber & doordash) is what they told me. I'm done trying. Best of luck if you try to order from here.

Entered the restaurant, it was so hot and stuffy. Went to counter to order, customer ahead of me stated, I have been waiting for my order for an hour. It was 6 staff walking around behind the counter, however no customer was getting waited on. After placing my order, I stood there 15 minutes, because the staff stated that they had to cook everything because nothing was prepared. Once I got my order it was wrong. After asking for the order to be corrected, staff and the manager began being very unprofessional, talking loud, in threatening manor as other customer was looking on. Their attitude was very, very ugly. Service was terrible. They had three managers there and no one could get the restaurant under control. This is not the first I have been to this establishment with the same results. Great way to lose a business.

I ordered 50/50. The regular was ok. The spicy was horrible. It was burnt, so overcooked you couldn't chew it. I thought with this store being remodeled food would be better - so wrong. Well this was my last order from popeye. Look at this picture

I always hate to give a bad review, but the people that work here are awful. As soon as we walk in the door, it seems that an employee is about to have an altercation with a belligerent customer. My wife had several questions at the counter which went ignored. Had another question when they brought our food, and the woman acted like she did not exist. To top it off, they left out my order and had to chase them down and overly explain that we did not get our food. After all this, I did not even taste the food. Will never come here again, and will gladly pass the word to anyone I know that is considering it. If you don’t have thick skin, a sidearm, or boxing gloves, this is not the place for you.

Food is delicious but damn. Ordered tenders online and was told had to cancel order because “no more tenders.” Popeyes app would not let me cancel so I spoke to the manager. Turns out the cook was just chilling. They do have tenders as soon as I walk in. SMH, they really don’t care here. Why can’t Popeyes hire better employees or pay them more?…idk

Went in ask cashier if I could get the $4 chicken sandwich in store or had to order online she said I don't know.i said can you ask .the manager tells her we dont have sandwiches right now.& as im ordering food the drive thru Guy walks from behind the cooking area as he walks by helps himself(barehands) to shrimp where they serve Guests(Twice) heads towards drive thru window helped a guest touching Money the window etc...got my order after 10min(only one there) the wing was tiny(picture) chicken dry.....dinning area dirty not to mention restroom...all messed up(picture) the lock was barely hanging on plus you could see thru the side of it(Picture) won't be back.... No wonder Popeyes is having a lot of problems & closing stores. It's all about the employee's working in it!

Worst customer service! I wish I could give Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen negative stars for my 4th of July drive-thru experience. One star is way too generous for this epic disaster! 🌟 First off, I think their employees must have been celebrating a bit too hard the night before because I waited in line longer than it took for our forefathers to declare independence. After what felt like an eternity, I finally got to the window. The cashier greeted me with the enthusiasm of a soggy biscuit and then promptly forgot my order. Twice. When my food finally arrived, it was a scene straight out of a horror movie. My "spicy" chicken was so cold and soggy, I wondered if it had been marinated in the tears of disappointed customers. The biscuit was harder than the Liberty Bell and had enough grease to lubricate a small engine. And the fries? Let’s just say they were as crispy as boiled noodles. To add insult to injury, they forgot my drink. When I pointed this out, the cashier handed me a cup that looked like it had been used as a prop in a high school science experiment. The sweet tea tasted like it had been brewed with dirty socks. Delicious! So, thanks, Popeyes, for turning my 4th of July feast into a Revolutionary War reenactment of epic proportions. I came for the chicken, and I left with a historical lesson on how not to run a fast-food joint. If you’re looking for a place to ruin your holiday spirit and your digestive system, this is it.
