Had to beef rolls, taro milk tea, chrysanthemum tea, xiao long bao, and the pan fried bao for date night dinner. Portions were reasonable and I was satisfied with my cravings :)
Much cheaper and better quality than other places nearby. Food was presented beautifully and appetizer dishes came out fast, a little understaffed but doing great. Menu in English and ordering slip in Chinese and English, easy to mark and understand. Great and not very busy at 11:40 AM.
I ate here on Tuesday and my server was Kelly. She was very kind and attentive and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend and I’m excited to go back soon!
The crab & pork dumplings were amazing, so do the noodles. Perfect portions and reasonable price. Nice vibe.
Had a delicious dinner and service was great!
Delicious and so affordable!
The XLB are so good!
Love the place!
Came here two days in a row!
Loved my visit to the Dough Zone in Berkeley! The Xiao Long Bao were juicy and flavorful.the Dan Dan noodles were a good spicy kick. Great variety, fair prices and perfect for sharing with friends. Definitely coming back.
I came here with my friends to try out the food and it turned out that both the food and the service were absolutely exceptional!! Kelly was our server and she was so sweet and helpful and made great recommendations. She told us her favorite items on the menu (which happened to be quite a few) which we then tried and absolutely loved it!! Will be coming back as soon as possible.

I was so happy to have this restaurant open up a location in Berkeley. I've been to the original in Bellevue Seattle as well as their other locations in Seattle and here in the Bay Area since I enjoy their food so much. However, I think the Berkeley restaurant needs to work on the consistency of their dishes as compared to their other locations. I ordered the Mala Spicy Noodles last night and it was half lettuce instead of noodles with lettuce garnish. Fortunately, I asked and they graciously re-fired another order for me with less lettuce but when it arrived, they had the lettuce correct but now it also had less mala spice. I'll check again in a few weeks and will gladly change this review to a 5 star rating if they have the consistency fixed.
nice space, great sound system with pleasant jazz playing, Clarence our server was personable friendly, and informative. Unfortunately the dim sum was disappointing. doughy, small and with short on filling to. pastry propertions. Worst stemed pork buns I've ever had. Instead of chunks of savory pork in a light fluffy steamed bun, we got a rubbery mass of chewy dough with a pale lump of some finely ground gilling. The touted specialty: soup dumpling were tiny chewy with less filling and soup inside then at other dim sum places . The pork & Shhrimp boiled dumplings were ok but again not up to other restaurants quality. The one dish that I really liked was not dim sum The Five Spice Beef Shank was delicious but I might not enjoy it ever again only because of the disappointing dim sum. I was really excited at the possibility of a dim sum restaurant opening in downtown berkeley but the experience was a real disappointment. For Dim Sum I will be going to East Ocean in Emeryville great dim sum bigger portions snd great views of the Bay.

Most definitely worth the price. We had the pork and crab XLB, the Dan Dan noodles, and the pan-fried beef dumplings. The ambiance and decor added to the experience; dining in is a good time. The portion sizes are what the price calls for. Besides strangely sweet pickled cabbage with the pan-fried dumplings and a bit of what I assume freezer burn on the XLB, I see myself coming back for a quick and relatively-cheap meal one of these days.

Ordered for delivery. The portions were really small for the price. The dumplings were ripped apart and stuck to the box packaging. Very little meat and the broth had no flavor for their noodle soup

The xiao long bao is a disgrace to chinese food. 0 soup, meat tasted gross. Some of the worst chinese food ive ever had.
We waited a long time before a server finally came to give us the menu — the service was very slow. The portion size of each dish was ridiculously small, not enough for one person at all. The wontons were even smaller than my fist, and a normal girl would need to order at least three portions to feel full. The taste was also very average, nothing impressive. Overall a bad experience with very poor value for money. Won’t come back.
