Berlina Café Broadway Reviews
Reviewing this cafe for its orignal flaky soft, puffy thin layered doughy old fashion NYC croissants. Came here after a 6 am arrival to NYC, enjoyed the morning atmosphere and spotted the crossiants fresh out of the oven. Guy baking and at register was so kind and didn't hesistate when i asked to get a fresh one, he even offered to warm it up but i declined, orignal NYC croissants dont need rewarming.
had a great experience at this restaurant. The guy at the counter was very helpful and clearly explained which of their beef options are zabiha halal, which I really appreciated. The food itself was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Overall, excellent service and great taste. I’ll definitely be coming back
Food was excellent. Specially pizzas, all of the food are served fresh and hot. (Food is 100% halal). Best tiramisu in the world. You have to come here, the staff are friendly and happy to help. No food here was bad. Every single item is absolutely delicious! I ate brunch and dinner here every day in nyc.
The pizza was delicious. Thin crisp crust with high quality toppings. All of the desserts we tried were quite tasty. The vibe is laid-back/casual. Great late night eatery in midtown that won't break the bank. I highly recommend!
Absolutely loved this place! The combination of freshly baked pastries and authentic pizza is a dream come true. The pizza had a perfect crispy crust with rich, flavorful toppings—clearly made with quality ingredients. As for the pastries, they were just heavenly—light, flaky, and not overly sweet. You can tell everything is made with care. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Whether you’re craving something savory or sweet, this spot has you covered. Highly recommend!
First time in NY and had this place for dinner, the pizza was great! I saw their menu and came back the next day and tried their times square bagel and LOVED it!!! The workers are kind and answered all my questions. Place has more seating in the second floor. I personally love the variety of food and desserts they serve! Good quality too! Definitely coming back here again :)
Corner shop at 39th Street and 8th Avenue. A convenient place for all meals, with a fairly comfortable atmosphere where you can sit and eat by the window. The meals are quite good and very reasonably priced. They offer meal packages for breakfast, lunch, and dinner—sit and enjoy it one day
We stopped by here late at night after just arriving to town and trying to find something to eat before we fell asleep. The pizza looked good and big, so we got a couple slices. They warmed them up and boxed them for us to go. Even put each on its on paper plate, which was nice to be able to eat off a plate instead of just the box. This was our favorite slice while in the city! Perfect cheese to sauce ratio, great size! Only regret is not returning before we left the city.
Service at the counter is polite, efficient and warm/welcoming. Upstairs seating is plentiful and quiet, but could use more attention from staff as far as cleanliness goes. Food is good. Picture is view from upstairs seating.
Great spot overall with lots of choices and options. I had the veggie burger and fries and also grabbed a couple slices of carrot cake for later; everything was solid and tasty. Service was good—the person at the front was on top of things and happy to answer questions. The only confusing part is the flow: you get a number, head upstairs to sit, and then need to go back down to pick up your food when they call your number (they don’t bring it to the table). Overall, I’d definitely eat here again, and the prices felt reasonable for NYC.
First time in Berlina cafe, the service was moderate, the cooks were nice, on the other hand, the cashier wasn’t really friendly. The food was really good, I do feel like it is overpriced for its quality, the hot chocolate was on point. The atmosphere is really nice and easy to talk, is decorated beautifully.
Today we visited Berlina Cafe & Pizza for breakfast while exploring the area, and I wanted to share an honest review in case you’re considering a visit 😊 Let’s start with the positives: We had a good breakfast — the food was tasty, freshly made, and came out pretty quickly. There are several breakfast options to choose from, and the menu is straightforward and satisfying. The coffee was strong, flavorful, and there were multiple options available — a definite plus! ☕ The café has two floors — the first floor has a few tables, while the second floor offers more space with both small and large tables. It’s great for groups, and overall, the vibe inside was calm and comfortable 🪑 The place also offers desserts, coffee, and pizza, so it’s more than just a breakfast spot — it’s the kind of place where you can come for different occasions throughout the day. Now for the part I think they could improve: Unfortunately, the tables were not cleaned between guests. After someone left, the table would stay dirty — and with a steady flow of customers, this quickly became noticeable. It’s a small detail, but it really affects the experience. They could definitely use an extra staff member just to wipe down tables 🧼 Another thing that stood out — the desserts were overpriced and underwhelming. I had an éclair for $8, and honestly, it just wasn’t worth it. • The flavor didn’t stand out • The price felt too high for a casual café • The quality didn’t match the cost So, my honest advice? ✅ Come here for a quick and filling breakfast or a good cup of coffee ❌ But skip the desserts unless you’re okay with paying more for something average It’s a cozy spot with potential — I’d go back for the breakfast, but next time I’ll pass on the pastry case. 👉 RECOMMEND ✅ for breakfast & coffee — DO NOT RECOMMEND 🚫 desserts (Personally mine)
Ideal location, good for a quick stop. Got a beacon egg and cheese on a bagel, my family loved it. I got one of the almond croissants and it aaa okay, maybe a little stale, came from the case not the fresh baked as pictured. Orange juice don’t think it was fresh, coffee okay also. Ample seating including upstairs. Staff is efficient and friendly. No parking being it’s near Times Square. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options
Coffee was disgusting. Literally threw it in the trash. Croissants looked like someone sat on them. Bagel was squashed and too chewy. Nothing seemed fresh. They got my order wrong which honestly was for the best because it gave me a better reason to ask for a refund than just “this food is terrible” not sure why this place is rated as high as it is. There are loads of good restaurants in nyc to choose from. Don’t choose this one.
